The hotel is located in Frigiliana, in the Andalusian province of Málaga. Frigiliana lies right between the mountains of the Sierra Tejada and Amijara nature parks as well as the beaches of the coastal area of Malagueño.
Guests are able to enjoy an inviting stay, with wonderful views of the mountains and Modejar quarter, offering plenty of culinary specialities of the region and experiencing the white Andalusian villages and overwhelming landscape. Opened in 2002, this charming hotel includes 5 floors with a total of 35 rooms.
There is a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange facility and a lift. Additional facilities include a bar, a café, an air-conditioned à la carte restaurant (highchairs available for children) and a public Internet terminal.

We have been to Frigiliana several times but only as a day trip from Almuneca, so wanted to experience the village by night. the hotel is very well situated in the heart of the village, easy walk to the whole of the village. We just had breakfast which was nice but quite basic.

The hotel was fine but the advertised pool was closed despite glorious weather and I felt that overall it was not good value for money.

Since we’d been staying in hostals and pensions this was a noticeable upgrade. Same price range though. Pretty classy. Off season so there weren’t many guests which means the buffets weren’t full on and pool was closed. If I had anything bad to say it would be stiff beds and pillows.

Nice simple hotel in the centre of town, very helpful staff and parking opposite for 10 euros (hotel can provide a card for access). We headed up to the Garden Restaurant which was a steep walk but incredible.

We wanted to have a Drink but there was no one working in the Bar, so the Receptionist had to get us one. Went down to have Breakfast at 9.30 but almost everything was Gone and was not been replaced so had to settle for toast. I would recommend eating out instead

THE BEST VIEWS AND PRIME LOCATION. Came here not expecting much and was blown away. This place is old school but very charming and this town is absolutely incredible. I want to move here ASAP. Beds are a little hard but the views are more than money can buy. Pool was nice when it was hot and siesta time. Didn’t eat at the hotel.

Facilities are fairly basic. A lounge or seating area for guests would enhance the hotel as there was only one hard chair in the room. The balcony only had bar chairs which were not comfortable. It is not possible to sit on the balcony when the sun is out so a parasol or shade is needed. The pool was not inviting as it needed cleaning and looked difficult to get into as the last step was very high! On the plus side, the air conditioning worked well and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We only stayed here as our usual villa was booked and as a stop-gap, it was fine.

Came to Frigiliana to visit family and knew the feria was on BUT didn't reckon on the band playing till 6am right opposite! Consequently had two sleepless nights made even worse by being told check out was 11am. Also the cleaners seem to leave at 2pm so room was never made up as we slept in. Anyway, normally this hotel would be okay. Central to the village with a car park opposite (10€ a day!) or parking in the road nearby. Rooms quite dated with no tea/coffee making facilities or a fridge. Bathtub and shower very good with extremely hot water. There is a SMALL pool with sun beds too. Didn't try the breakfast so can't comment.

Had the most awful experience with this hotel. Three weeks before the booking, we received an email saying that they were unable to accept our reservation (despite it being all paid and non-refundable). We called Expedia however they said that the email had been an error. They called the hotel and re-confirmed our reservation.
Nonetheless, when we turned up on the day, the hotel was closed with no notice at all. Absolutely terrible and an awfully scary experience.

Cute hotel but hard to find
The location was great and we had a nice view of the town. The room was nicely decorated and had a small balcony with table and chairs overlooking Frigiliana. It was somewhat hard to find, as the address provided took us to a road presumably around the backside of the hotel. After circling the block and some roundabouts a few times we accidently found the front of the hotel. We were also disappointed that the only parking was on the street, but it was along the same street as the hotel and free. We also had to go down to the lobby to access the wifi.

I have stayed at Villa Frigiliana many times as it is great value for money and the rooms are all very good with lovely mountain views. The Staff are very friendly and will do anything for you I highly recommend staying there!

Place to stay in a charming village
stayed here for three nights visiting friends. Mainly chosen because of the location, but because of the price would make a perfect base for exploring the region. Needs some TLC but perfectly comfortable place to stay.

We stayed here for one night to see the lovely little town of fragiliana. This hotel is right in the center of town, so is a great jump off spot. The rooms were quite nice. Updated well. The breakfast was amazing for the price. The pool is small but sweet. Just a note, the pool is not very private, people walking by can look in to the pool area. We got to know the owners a bit. The woman speaks great English, her husband does not. They are sweet, helpful, lively and hardworking. I would reccomended this hotel.

This hotel is definitely worth a visit. The staff are fantastic, the English owners are very keen to make sure your stay is comfortable, enjoyable and making you want to come back. We certainly will be! Thanks to you all for making our holiday one of the best we have had!

Generally good and very good value. So overall no complaints. Two particular negative points however; the first being no wireless which for us (and I guess many others nowadays) is not just useful but vital and therefore lack of it when advertised is really annoying and we would have gone elsewhere had we had the choice. Secondly not understanding any English at the reception is frustrating but there was a manager who spoke very good English and when I telephoned once to ask something I only got the reply 'Hotel no English'. No effort was made to find that manager.

Frigiliana - a forgotten gem
The hotel overlooked the valley leading to Nerja and the sea but also the old Moorish town of Frigiliana which is overshadowed by Nerja but which is quite beautiful and well worth a visit. Charming little bodegas nearby and plenty to see if you are prepared to walk as the streets are very narrow and quite steep. And only a 10 minute drive into Nerja and it's beaches and nightlife. A good place to stay and excellent value for money.

Das Hotel war super. Kleiner Balkon mit guter Aussicht. Wir würden hier auch einen längeren Aufenthalt planen. DIE Zufahrt sollte allerdings besser ausgeschildert sein! Unten am Kreisverkehr nicht dem Navi durch den Ort folgen! Alles Baustellen! Nächste Ausfahrt über die Umgehungsstraße führt direkt zum Hotel und zum Parkhaus.

Solicitamos con tres meses de antelaciòn una camade matrimonio, mi marido es muy alto y las camas que hay en el hotel no son de 2 m. Nos dijeron a la hacer la entrada que no nos habían asignado una cama de matrimonio por no haber reservado una habitación demás calificación, sin embargo, 75 € por noche sin desayuno, solo ja miento, está más que justificado para poder tener una cama de matrimonio. En la página de reservas no daban la opción de reservar de cama de matrimonio

The hotel was not what we had expected, not as cozy or picturesque as the pictures showed. The first response by the male receptionist was terrible, the restaurant only bad and the cleaning was a joke. The bed was ok, it was nice with a balcony but overall no hotel to recommend.

Frigiliana ligger mycket vackert och vi fick alla rum med utsikt mot en vacker dal. Mycket god och fräsch frukostbuffé, mycket att välja mellan och väldigt prisvärd. Vi provade också middagsbufféen en kväll, den var god och även den var prisvärd. Rent och snyggt och många vackra inredningsdetaljer på hotellet. Lätt att hitta parkering på gatan, åtminstone i slutet av mars.
