Terrific Complex, first visited in 1991 - wow! Re-visit September 2025. Great design with nobody overlooking our Balcony, two Pools - try the Home Made Pies in the Cave Restaurant. Great Staff, Oscar, Fernando, Jesus & Jose Luis - loved it.

The good
The staff at reception are great. The property was tidy and clean and had washing machine and kitchen, with a fridge and microwave, cooker and hobs, plus all the things needed to cook and serve meals.

Balcony with table and chairs was great. Views from the property i stayed in was great, could see the sea and the mountains.

The pool by reception is nice, with a pool bar that serve food and drink.

Room for improvement
No smoking or vaping at all in any of the communal areas, including anywhere in the pool area or pool bar. While some staff are relaxed about this when no others are present, others are not flexible or relaxed.

No safes in the apartments, while a safe is available for use at reception, reception is not always open, which makes using this facility unideal, yet still available if essential.

Some pool bar staff lack a little in customer service and communication skills, even though English is their primary language. Others however were very welcoming and engaging.

Things to consider
The walk to Burriana beach is quick and painless, while the walk back is steep and not something many will want to do more than once.

The walk to Nerja town centre takes about 25 minutes, which is a nice walk, but for some, do consider transport, whether that by the bus or taxi, or even hiring a vehicle.

There were works ongoing during my stay, starting by 9am weekdays.

Overall great experience, will be staying here again, great price and quality of stay.

The very large property is beautifully landscaped and maintained, peaceful and quiet. A 10 minute walk to two major supermarkets.
Our villa in Capistrano was outstanding for a 2 week stay. It was very well stocked with everything a family would need to live and cook at home. Extra space-heaters were welcome during the single digit morning temperatures. We had plenty of light and the patio was gorgeous, with a 6 person table and 2 sunbeds on the private lawn.
Fernando in the main office was particularly helpful.
Very highly recommended.

Very spacious apartment, fantastic large balcony with sea view. Was basic inside but well equipped and all appliances worked. The onsite facilities and gardens are well maintained, the reception staff were helpful and very approachable. Location was great for us, about a 25-minute walk down into Nerja, easy access to the river Chillar and surrounding mountains. We would love to return to this area and apartment.

We don't seem to be have been put in any of the apartments anyone else has reviewed, 20 minute walk up a steel hill from reception, very old and dated apartment with half of the locks to the property not working. It says 20 minutes to beach which if you stayed around reception would be about right but we had another 20 minutes on top of that. Outdoor furniture for the apartment was filthy, had to wash towels after each use, Very disappointed all round

The property was very secure and the grounds where patrolled by security at night. It was very clean on arrival and the bed was very comfortable, The young lady in the reception helped us out when we had problems with the airport transfer back to Malaga and boked us a taxi that was waiting for us at 2.35 am (25 minutes early!!) She was really lovely.. thanks!!.. The only 2 things we didn't think where so good was the walk up the steep hill in the heat was bad as we are both over 57 yrs old and we struggled a bit. The other problem was that the property just needed a bit of maintenance to the aircon and the shower head was useless. Well worth a visit if you want a nice quiet holiday. I have been several times now and Nerja is a lovely place. Thanks again to the reception lady for sorting out the taxi.

We booked for a four day stay to explore Nerja & surrounding towns - chance to make some \"home\" cooked meals and use a washing machine.
The walk into old town is easy & flat. and very near two big supermarkets.
Burriana beach is close, bit of a hike back but free beach parking off season so no prob.
Liked having parking in the complex and near apt. It's a cute group of townhouses and there are clearly lots of options. Ours had a (distant) view of the sea and a nice roomy deck. Beds small & firm but fine. Kitchen had everything that we needed. TV had channels in several languages, mostly news in English.
A few hiccups were fixed by mgmt: power wasn't switched on, batteries for TV & heater were dead but they came to fix that quickly.
Suggest they do as others & offer some clothes washing pods to guests!
We have stayed in a beautiful hotel on the beach here and that was great: but if you need what an apartment offers, this is a solid value.

Nice location, easy walk into Nerja. Property was perfect for our needs, home from home. WIFI very good, swimming pool clean with easy access, gardens around the properties stupendous. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Spacious clean apartment with lovely views

We loved it here! Such gorgeous gardens and lovely big pools. Staff friendly and accomadating. Spacious clean rooms, a bit dated but lovely and what we expected from the pics. A decent walk to the beaches which kept us fit and ensured all the amazing food didn't ruin our figures;-) amazing value for money and would highly recommend.

Stayed in one bedroom appartment no 39 and first impressions were ok. Bed then turned out to be very unconfortable. Terrible smell coming from shower and worms coming up plug hole.

Nice apartment. Close to the beach. It was nice having the kitchen and clothes washer. The grounds are very nice and well maintained. We had two meals at the onsite restaurant that were very tasty. We only used the pool once but it very nice. The bus stop was right out front and made getting around the town quite easy. Would recommend to friends and family.

Lovely apartment and great value

Stayed here with my partner for 11 nights. Upon check in we were shown around the facilities (pool/bar area) and then taken to our apartment. It was just what we wanted and a little bit more. Very spacious in the living area, with air con, a sofa and chairs, TV, radio, kitchenette including washing machine, cooker/grill, toaster, kettle, hob and microwave, a nice balcony (unfortunately there was not much of a view but this didn't bother us as we joined in with what everyone in Nerja seems to do which is be out most of the day and evening - the town is still bristling with families and performers at 1am!). Saying that we did look over a small garden so it wasn't unpleasant to sit out.
The apartments are about 25-30 minutes walk from the beach or town and about 5 minutes walk from the supermarket. We walked everywhere, but for families with small children / those not used to walking so far I would advice renting a car, as Nerja is built on one big hill. It's downhill all the way to the beach/town, and uphill all the way back... and I mean ALL the way! There is a regular bus, we just didn't use it.

The pool area near reception was nice, with a 25m long deep pool, 15m shallower pool and a baby pool. There is another pool but we didn't try that one. It does charge for sunbeds, but there is a grassy area with parasols that you can lay a towel on to avoid the cost.

The beach is lovely and I would recommend spending plenty of time down there, with lots of restaurants and shops.

Usually take hols in UK, so not really an experienced traveler abroad. Checking in staff were nice & friendly & escorted us to our apartment, which didn't have any particular wow factor but was clean, adequate & comfortable to stay in.Only downside according to the wife was there wasn't a hairdryer at the apartment. The complex it was situated in was pretty & the pools were not over crowded. Didn't eat in the restaurants but had a few drinks at the bar & the staff were friendly.
Location was easy to get to but slightly more than a stones throw from the beeches which we always walk to but could of done with the car on the way back.(Uphill & nicely fed & watered.)
Some of the surrounding areas could do with tidying up/finishing off and a lot of holiday goers in Nerja seem to take their four legged companions and not all the owners are quite so conscientious or meticulous at picking their deposits up!
Overall we had a nice break and would go back to the same place if we went back to Nerja.

The apartment was very comfortable, well equipped and was very clean when we arrived. The only negative aspect was the lack of an oven for cooking, there was just a hob and microwave. The location and other amienities were ideal and i would have no hesitation recommending this apartment to friends and family and would readily book it again for myself.

Nerja Villas Capistrano

Nerja Villas is a complex of over 500 apartments laid out like a village with each section having its own pool, bar and facilities. The one bedroom apartment we stayed in was a little tired especially in the kitchen area, but having said that we did thoroughly enjoy it there, we had a lovely patio area with an excellent view of the sea and coast and it was very private. We would definitely go there again.
There is no central check in and it took us some time to find out where to go. Each section is managed by a different company so finding the one where you are is trial and error. There are small supermarkets in each section so the best is to ask in there for directions. There are bars and restaurants within the complex and small supermarkets so easy to just relax there without having to drive. Lots of steps so plenty of exercise!

We had a great week in Nerja, staying in a 2 bed apartment. We arrived late and had phoned to let them know. We contacted them again on arrival and withing 5 minutes a helpful and cheerful man directed us to our apartment. It was very welcoming to find fridge stocked with some basic supplies. thank you!

The apartment had everything you need, and is set in lovely landscaped surroundings. Kitchen sufficiently equipped, with washing machine and oven. Other apartments we have stayed in in Spain have very limited kitchens. This was great. Accomodation is not lavish but adequate and set in nice grounds including a communal pool area which was excellent.

Some other reviews suggested lack of air conditioning and poor wifi. but our apartment had air conditioning in lounge and one of the bedrooms which was most welcome. The wifi was ok, though went off a few times. But TV included full sky channels and many others. Though not sure why you need this on holiday!

Nerja is a lovely place and the nearest and best beach is a 20-30min walk down a hill. Doable if you are fit but we had a car which definitely makes life a lot easier. There are two large supermarkets withing a couple of minutes walk. There is also an hourly bus service into town centre, also about 20-30 min walk.

Will definitely be back here.

Having stayed with friends on capistrano several years ago, we decided to stay here.
The one bedroomed studio was very basic. Only an electric hob to cook on! Oh and a microwave, 3 frying pans and no pots to boil an egg in!
Had a problem on the 2nd day with electric hob, which was sorted after about an hour. The maintenance man pulled out the washing machine to check plug/socket, and to say don't think it'd had seen a mop in months!!
Went to the local bar for happy hour, only to get charged 50cents for a shot of lime in my beer, was a liberty!
Would probably not stay there again, but that's my opinion.

Lovely spanish villa style apartment

I was really happy with our apartment, it was clean, spacious and very Andalusian. I didn't see any nicer looking apartments anywhere in nerja and I would recommend staying in capistrano village. It was a very relaxing holiday with around a 25 minute walk into town in the evenings. I was suprised to find that we had a large private garden and washing machine in our apartment. Would definately recommend to others.

ok apartments - fantastic pools

Good and bad.
Good stuff: location is good, 15 minute walk to town or the beach. The swimming pools are excellent, large and clean. Room has a big balcony with a view of the med and the mountains.Rooms are nice tv has all channels you need.The staff in the main reception are very helpful and hardworking.
Bad stuff: The plumbing is not the best and the kitchen overflows into the bathroom and doesn't drain well, the result is a vaguely stinky apartment. I heard other people complaining about this too. My other gripe is the ridiculous \"system\" of renting sun-beds around the pool. They cost 3.5 euros each a day. But if you come back later in the day you will find them gone or in use by someone else, and the staff seem obsessed with removing them as soon as they are free. And they don't beleive you when you remind them you've already paid. It's a bit pathetic really.

So much more than expected

After not being in Spain for over 20 years, I wasn't sure where to stay. Being there for almost 2 weeks, I didn't want a hotel room. I thought I was booking a studio, but on arrival was shown into a lovely one bedroom apartment with living room, bathroom and full kitchen with a balcony overlooking the Mediterranean! Although it was showing a little wear and tear, it in no way impacted my stay. The location for me was ideal, being out of the hustle and bustle of the balcon, but still within an easy walk of the beach and the balcon. Capistrano has pools and restaurants and a little grocery store with a larger super market down the road. The brothers who own the restaurant are very friendly and helpful. A shuttle into Nerja makes getting around very easy. Capistrano is built on the mountainside so it can be hilly with a lot of stairs. Be prepared! I absolutely loved it and am already planning my return trip.

Great value in a pretty resort

Superb value for money. Fantastic pool complex (I can't remember the last pool on holiday where diving/bombing etc were allowed - great for the kids - even the 46 year old one!# at San Juan de Capistrano with 7 bars/restaurants - certainly not gourmet but decent holiday food and good value for money - we had lunch dinner in 5/7 #would particularly recommend the friendly staff at the pool bar, the curry at KKs and the prawn pil pil in all of them#. Too far to walk to town/beach especially back uphill #about 2.5km# but we did have a car for the duration of our holiday so it wasn't really a problem - taxis freely available in town. Nerja is a little gem of a resort - few high rise hotels and a lively maze of streets crammed full of shops, bars and restaurants but all within a relatively small area. We will definitely return to San Juan de Capistrano - the whole complex is beautifullly maintained - #can't comment on the other \"Capistranos\") but only if we can find an apartment/villa with aircon - unbearably hot on most nights with inadequate fans moving hot air around the room!

Perfect Apartment and Complex

Perfect place to relax and enjoy Nerja. The apartment was spotless with a full equiped kitchen. The fan and mosquito nets were a must. The apartment had a big balcony with a number of pools close by. The apartment even had a 40 inch TV with Sky Sports. The centre of Nerja is a good healthy walk away but a bus every hour caters for those avoiding the healthy lifestyle. Only very small gripe is that wifi is only available in the reception area. Highly recommend the complex

Villas Capistrano Nerja Spain

We were not sure what to expect and had an open mind, we thought it may be a hotel room. But to our surprise it was a private holiday Villa.
The check in was easy and the information and advice from the front desk went beyond expectations. An extra 5 minutes to our check in and we had most of our holiday stay planned out. He was terrific, telling us where to go for food and shopping and parking and attractions. the Caves are a MUST SEE!
The Villa was a one bedroom, with a good size shower and loo room. Lounge/Kitchen and a great balcony that was well sheltered from neighbours and was great for sunning and sleeping. The kitchen everything needed for self catering. In fact i would have been happy to rent this place on a monthly basis. Television even had the main uk channels along with german and Spanish chanels. The shower room had a washing machine and we even found an iron and ironing board. A selection of english, spanish and german books were also provided. The community had it's own supermarket and a bar, the journey into Nerja itself can be done by car or walking.Or get an electric bike they're great.....It's GREAT THERE. I'll go again..... definatly recomended.

We spent two enjoyable weeks in a 2 bedroom apartment in Capistrano Village during the Christmas holidays. We would not hesitate to recommend these Villas and Apartments to anyone wishing for a quiet relaxing holiday. The apartment was presented very clean and had all conveniences including towels and linen etc. Although not a 5 star resort, this mature development offered a sensible \"home from home\" feel rather than that of a hotel room. The the low season winter season prices made sense - we hit two weeks of warm pleasant sunshine.

20 - 30 minutes walk into center of Nerja, with convenient grocery store 5 minute walk away. Easy public transport into Granada, Cordoba, Seville, Malaga - no lack of destinations one to two hours away. We noted that the Capistrano Village is perhaps a better bet than its neighbor of San Juan Capistrano or Oasis Capistrano, especially if you have no rental car. Our rental car came in handy for local scenic drives.

nice but \"room\" for improvement !

When booking this holiday we were offered a choice of twin, double or king beds, we chose king. We were given a room with twin beds. When querying this with the guy at reception we were told that one room apartments only ever had twin beds, an EU ruling apparently! So why the option? It seems in that case that whenever myself and my husband (of 35yrs) choose to take a holiday in future we'll always have singles if we book a one bedroomed apartment. Strange or what! Also, don't expect a hairdryer, cos there isn't one though it does state so on the hotel details. Despite this we had a lovely 5 days there- clean rooms, pretty site and well kept gardens. The local buses are a cheap and reliable means of seeing the surrunding area and visiting nearby villages.

Excellent accommodation for a long or short stay

The accommodation was clean and inviting and we felt very much at home. Ideal for couples or families with young children set back away from the main beaches, hotels and noisy bars. Approx 1 mile walk to nearest beach but steep climb back to the village. All the staff on the complex were friendly and helpful. Excellent restaurant, supermarket and swimming pools. Large supermarket within walking distance. Some road noise from the main road running alongside.The village has 24 hour security although it's open for anyone to walk in. Gardens landscaped to very high standard with beautiful displays of tropical plants. Access may be difficult for disabled as the roads are very steep and many narrow stepped walkways between the houses. Many English residents and some Dutch and German amongst other nationalities. Very pleasant and would definitely go back.

Yhteydenpito etukäteen sähköpostitse oli oikein sujuvaa ja ystävällistä.
Huoneisto oli siisteydeltään ihan hyvä. Mutta ensimmäisenä päivänä tapasimme keittiössä yhden suuren torakan ja kylpyammeessa kaksi pientä. Tämän jälkeen huomasimme että pyykkikoneen ja jääkaapin alukset olivat aika likaisia.
Kaapissa oli torakka/hyönteismyrkkyä, jota emme kuitenkaan halunneet käyttää. Näkemämme torakat saimme tapettua muutenkin. Pidimme siis tulpat lavuaareissa ja tavarat repuissa. Kotona sitten varotoimenpiteet, jotta mahdolliset mukaan lähteneet torakat tai niiden munat eivät muuta kotiimme. Päättelimme että ehkä niitä vain asuu viemäreissä tms.
Alue oli kuitenkin oikein mukava ja rauhallinen ja esim. keittiön varustus melko ok.

Wir hatten das Glück 9 Tage in dieser Unterkunft zu verbringen und waren positiv überrascht, wie schön dieser Ort ist! Wir hatten ein schönes Apartment mit einer riesigen Terrasse die eine wunderschöne Aussicht auf den Pool und das Meer hatte. Das Personal dort war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit. Uns wurden sogar die Koffer zur Unterkunft um die Ecke gefahren und den Check-out durften wir etwas herauszögern, da unser Rückflug erst abends war. Die Anlage ist wunderschön und es gibt insgesamt 5 Pools die man nutzen kann, was besonders mit kleinen Kindern super ist. Obwohl unser Apartment direkt am Pool war, war es abends sehr ruhig. Es gibt ganz in der Nähe einen Bus der einen in die Stadt Nerja oder an den Strand fährt, sowie 2 große Supermärkte um die Ecke. Das Apartment hatte eine Klimaanlage. Wir hatten keinen Mietwagen und haben auch mit kleinen Kindern alles gut erlaufen können. Wenn man die Umgebung mehr erkunden möchte ist ein Mietwagen aber ggf. hilfreich. Alles in allem hatten wir einen wunderschönen Urlaub in Nerja dank dieser tollen Unterkunft. Ich kann es wirklich jedem empfehlen und würde wieder hinfahren.

Einfach perfekt

An dieser Unterkunft gibt es nichts zu bemängeln. Der Stadtbus startet von der Haustûre. Die Wohnung ist sauber geräumig ruhig und perfekt eingerichtet.
Restaurants gibt es gute in der Nähe.
Der Pool ist auch sehr.
Einfach sehr schön alles.

På NVC får du mye for pengene dine. Det er så herlig for ferien med et lite kjøkken, og ikke minst en uteplass. Nærhet til lokal buss som tar deg hvor som helst i byen for 1 euro per person. Nærhet til to store matbutikker. Kun 15min gange til Burriana-stranden. Vi har brukt NVC tidligere, og var like fornøyde da. Vi kommer til å bruke dem igjen neste gang vi besøker Nerja, uten tvil!

Väldigt nöjda med personal och lägenhet, det enda negativa var att det kändes otydligt med vad som fanns på plats/i närheten och vad som ingick i vistelsen.

Obs, ligger VÄLDIGT backigt. Vi hade inga problem med det men tips är att ha hyrbil/moped.

Helt greit for en uke! Trekker ned da det var skittent da vi kom, var ikke støvsugd eller vasket gulv, ble mye støv med i senga første natta, så d ga ikke et veldig bra inntrykk.. ellers helt ok, bra basseng, men skittent der og dessverre. Veldig hyggelig personell!! Veldig lang avstand til resepsjon fra rom, derfor dårlig kontakt med personell sånn sett. Drar nok dit igjen med håp om at d som var skittent bare var engangstilfelle

Die Unterkunft hatte alles was man benötigt und war sehr sauber. Der Ausblick vom Balkon direkt auf das Meer war wunderschön. Die Mitarbeiter waren alle sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Sehr schöne Anlage, tolle Pools. Das Haus war super mit allem was man braucht ausgestattet. Abzug gibt es für das Restaurant. Die Küche war für unseren Geschmack etwas sehr geschmacklos und hätte mehr an Gewürzen vertragen. Das ist ja aber Geschmacksache! Alles andere war top

Libertad para visitar la zona ,tranquilo

Lo que es el apartamento se notaba que tiene unos años, pero estaba limpio a falta de en los detalles menos habituales de limpieza aunque si que descubrimos que habian roto algun vaso y habian vidrios debajo del sofa
Por la pagina elegimos cama de matrimonio pero tuvimos 2 camas y aunque llame a recepcion no me ofrecieron ninguna opcion. Cuando en esta web te dan a elegir o camas separadas o cama matrimonio. Luego en las opciones pedimos cerca de la piscina y tampoco estuvimos. Un punto a su fabor esque nos dejaron entrar antes al apartamento ya que llegamos por la mañana y en cuanto lo limpiaron nos dejaron entrar.

El resto esta bien, es un lugar tranquilo y facil de llegar. Las piscinas geniales
