Everytging was great except there was no where local to get food. No restaurant, supermarket or fast food. They do have a tiny shop on site but only a handful of items not enough to make a meal.

All in All a Satisfactory Experience

The communication with the accommodation was bad, largely because it was in French only and I don't speak French. On the day of Arrival we had a difficult Day because our GPS failed and we couldn't locate the somewhat remote location. With the help of a dog walker and the local tourist information in Evian we eventually reached the Complex late. During this time we range the accommodation several times, but no one ever answered. Anyway, we checked in with a very kind and warm receptionist. The accommodation was adequate and good value for money; the location and day time views of Lac Leman were magical. Only the bed was a little uncomfortable due to the age of the mattress. The security deposit of 416 Australian Dllars seemed a little high for just 2 nights, and it took a week to be refunded.

Ideal for walkers and for winter ski resort

Loved the view from this property overlooking the lake. Would have like air conditioning. A warning to anyone washing their clothes in the on-site laundry. It automatically dispenses soap and even after washing out clothes a few times after it stank of the soap smell very strongly. It gave my wife a headache and eyes watered. We could not believe we could not get that strong soap smell out. My wife almost threw away her clothes that she has washed there. Again don’t use their onsite laundry.

Great location, but...

Great location, but if you ride a motorbike, be VERY careful coming up to the property as the roads contain hairpins and inclines that are insane, to say the least, if you have a heavy bike. Otherwise, staff were helpful but the apartment was a bit basic, but functional for our limited 2 night stay. Has a pool, with views over the lake/forest

Lugrin garden and city hotel, good value

Good value accommodation in beautiful setting on Mountain overlooking Lake Geneva (Lac Leman). Too cold to use pool, would have been good if the overhead cover had been used. We would have swum then. Good location to visit Evian, Lake Annecy and beautiful mountain viewpoints . The bathroom needed the plaster on the walls replacing. Generally needs an uodate but the heating worked very well.

Pros: the property is based on apartments which has its Own kitchen and private bathroom. it was clean and quite. The location of the property was beautiful and very scenic.
Cons: Due to its remote location, mobile signals drops dramatically, though there is Wifi available but it is not very strong at all. If you are checking in after 19:00 when the staff has left the reception, you better make sure to get the right instructions to get to your apartment without any hassle otherwise you may be wondering like me for an hour where to find the keys.

A bit disappointed .

The position of the property is wonderful over looking lake Geneva, as is the peace and quiet although our personal view was blocked by a hedge as we were given a ground floor apartment. We struggled to understand how our accommodation was classed as superior as it couldn’t have been more ‘basic’. The apartment was much smaller than it appears in the photos and sadly the smell in the toilet lead us to buy a large bottle of cleaning fluid ! The bedding and towels were clean but the mattress covers needed replacing. The fridge had the door shelves missing so useless for storage and no kettle meant all water boiling needed a saucepan. The apartment is in need of up dating.

There's a lot of good about Lugrin Park & Suites. It's a beautiful location with tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool. Loads of parking and modern buildings. So what's wrong? The kitchenette is small and dishwashers are absent in some rooms. Your cooking options are a microwave or an electric hob. Reception is unmanned between 11:30am and 4:00pm, and wireless Internet is a hit and miss affair. I've been here a few times but the managers are not doing anything about the short comings so I can't recommend it.

To make it short;
Don't go anywhere near this place.
Reception is only open at breakfast, after that there's no one to help.
Pool is closed although they advertise it to be open.
Access anywhere is simply impossible without a car due to the areas lack of taxi Servicess and the nearest bus stop is 6miles away.
Nearest shop is 40 minutes away, on foot, if you take a short cut through the woods and private gardens, and around 2h if you take the road.

As a fact French people don't speak English because they hate England. In this place they hate English even more and refuse to speak it at all.
Car hire places in the area make it very hard to get a car as they have only a handful of vehicles usually already gone on hire. And as the only alternative to hire is Geneva which is 3 times more expensive then anywhere else in Europe.

We left Geneva after one night because of prices, particularly parking. This was in a beautiful place outside of Montreux. I couldn't believe the rate of $40 for a small but functional two bedroom apartment.

Overall stay was good but cramped conditions made things uncomfortable. Ventilation shocking unless double outside door next to the bed was left open at all times when in the room. Overall only suitable for those who ski and need a bed for the night. For the money paid I would have expected better. Also wifi fickle and dropped out frequently when online

If you need wifi i would not book this venue. I personaly loved this place. It's relaxing and scenic place, just minutes from the lake(by car). The rooms are average, but for the price, it was better than i anticipated.

Lovely place for a family holiday. Friendliness of staff and atmosphere at the 'village' make up for all the little flaws. Kids loved the pool and all the surroundings, tennis court, table tennis and badminton courts are free and equipment available for a small charge. We would recommend to book a chalet- superior room than a standard room that is located in main building. Chalets have separate entrances, balconies or tarasses depending on the floor. Lake Leman is close by, Evian village with its train- funiculaire, that runs up the hill for free is a great idea for a day trip. And on 15 August there are fireworks over the lake, apparently spectacular!

We travelled to watch out son competing in the Wotld chamionships, Internet connection was vital when looking to book accommodation so review results/replay of each day. Unfortunately wifi wasn't working and no signal so we had to pay to eat out so we could have vital internet connection. The bathroom was mouldy so not very nice. Pool was nice but not open until 10am so unable to use it.

Disappointed with the facilities. Pool was not open. Gym is tiny. No wifi or none that worked, which seems to be a problem according to reviews. We needed the wifi for work purposes and had to go into Evian to find internet access. The chalet is basic. Mould in the bathroom. Looks like it is well worn with age. For the price we feel unhappy as none of the facilities advertised were available. Location is scenic in the mountain but no view of the lake due to trees.

Nice studio appartment, however had no cell reception and their internet is atrociously slow/doesn't work at all half of the time. The front desk had no idea how any of it worked and just shrugged their shoulders (I work in IT so I understood what was going on). Their need to overhaul their network especially since neither myself or my wife could get data reception.

Stayed for a week, good location if you have a car - hour drive to Geneva and the same to Montreux.(no need for swiss motorway vignette - road tax as it is possible to avoid going on payed roads to get to these destinations). Can easily get a train from Montreux to do a Swiss Alp sight watching tour. (~£75 return ticket and 3,5 hours to Interlaken Ost). 2 miles to Evian and around 30 mins to sand beach - Excenevex - lovely beach with parking, and various manual water transports to rent and have fun with. Clear, clean and warm water.
Quiet location with self catering flats for competitive prices. Bring your kettle and coffe filters. Mind that check in starts after 16-00. Easy o find if you have a navigator and typed in the street name, if driving. Mind the sharp road bends when aproaching the hotel.

Nice accommodation. We had a 1 Bedroom apartment was large and spacious it was clean but basic. The pool was lovely. Only downside was no air conditioning and wifi strength was poor. the Park & Suites is quite high up the hill and not easy to find even with sat nav as the street name is not recognised, we had to stop and ask where it was after some time trying to find it.

Definitely requires a car (free parking)
Thollon Ski Lift is a few km away and supermarkets are available (a few kms drive down (lugrin or evian) or up (thollon)
This place is great for kids who love to build snowmans or toboggan (a few slopes available - esp the one outside the front desk building)
Internet is always available but slow during peak hours (6-10pm) - not as bad as it was reviewed previously
Cleanliness wise depends on individual preference
Do note that there is no daily cleaning services
Recommendation - definitely a yes
Recommended places to go in the vicinity - CORA (there is a HUGE supermarket, hardware shop, sports outlet, feu vert (if you need snow chains you can get it here), etc

We have stayed here many times and love it,a few things have changed because of idiots that like to ruin things for others i.e. BBQ`s we always took one, but because of teenagers causing fires you can only use Electric ones now...but thank you to the girls in Reception who looked after us and we thank them very much.The swimming pool was closed that was september the 20th that was fair but the sun was out and was a great day anyway we love this place because it is so relaxed and out of the way,If you are English or not French take a laptop or tablet for a bit of T.V,can be a bit dull if you have no entertainment.Other than that have fun take a TomTom.

The ad says \"on a lake.\" Actually 5+ km from the lake. VERY hard to find.The ad says \"multilingual staff.\" Actually NO staff available. It was not until we had made the online non-refundable payment that we were told the reception is not open on Sundays. We could get no help with burned out light bulbs. The ad says \"free Wi-Fi available.\" Actually with NO reception staff available we couldn't find the password. Nothing in the literature told us where to find the password. This is a beautiful quiet place to stay if you want to retreat for several days, but don't expect service.

This holiday village is in amazing place, located in Lugrin Village France by Le Lac Leman (Lake)
Staff speak English
Apartments was in good condition with fridge, microwave and cooker.
Fresh Air, Forest, and Birds, Plus view on Lake.
Casino Evian (mineral Water Evian) is about 2 miles, its a beautiful place for day of relax with nice restaurants.
Food in Switzerland is a bit expensive, better buy in France
Geneva and Lausanne is 15 miles
Very good conditions of Road in Switzerland and France if You travelling around the Lake

Ordered Double room, got a Twin room!

As a young couple, when we order a double room (out of a couple of possibilities) with a double bed, we expect that. We got a twin room, and since no reception or anyone to contact at evening hours, there's nothing we can do about that.
In the next day, we talked to the staff which didn't understand English, and only after a long hour we were moved to a real double room for the next night.
Besides for that - the place is really nice, rooms are large and clean, and breakfast is great, although expensive.
Also, the location is not mapped correctly in navigation systems, which makes it really hard to find in the first time.

OK for a quick stay

If Easy Jet did hotels this would be it. You get what you pay for and it looked built to a price. The view over Lake Geneva is great and would be better with some strategic tree lopping. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is out of town so you need a car and a sat nav or a good sense of direction to find it.

This was a truly a negative experience. First, we arrived after five hours driving and the reception was closed. It turned out that hotels.com's info did not match with the hotels and it closed earlier than informed on hotels.com. We spent approximately an hour under pouring rain, trying to call the contact number and only reached an answering machine. We finally found an envelope attached to a window on the main building. We took it down and it turned out to be our key. Then when we came to our two bedroom apartment, we saw that it was not cleaned. The kitchen was covered with grease and there were lots of dustballs in the corners. The toilet was not cleaned. The bottom of the toilet bowl was brown. There was supposed to be daily cleaning according to our confirmation. There was none through our 4 night stay. We had to buy toilet paper ourselves. Now you might wonder why we did not go to the reception. Well, we had a full program for these days and we could not be there during the short open hours of the reception. The reception was closed several days in the week and closed early in the evenings. Well, we tried to make the best out of it. We basically only slept there and spent the rest of the time away from this hotel. So our advice is: DO NOT GO THERE!

This place is very hard to find and if you dont have a tomtom you will get lost.We live in switzerland so we have used this place a few times and love it for the peace and quite.The overall rating we would give it a 10/10 because the service is at hand if you need it as we did because we wanted to change our room 3 times as we did not like where we was put but was sorted in no time,we wanted a place looking onto the lake and wasThis was no trouble looking after us.The next thing is surrounding neighbourhood....This is just want you want peace and quite with a swimming pool and very nice to,The convenience of hotel location is tucked away so dont think it`s easy to find because it is not and the recepcion is tucked away to.Take a kettle if you can and a few tea mugs and a tablet incase you need a bit of tv, and most important a BBQ and a few bottles of wine and you are in heaven.

Very pleasant stay

Second time we've stayed here, still just as pleasant as the first. The roof was kept on over the pool as the weather wasn't great, but the kids were still perfectly happy with it on days the sun was out. The tennis court is also handy, and the location is a good base for exploring the region too. Stayed in a larger 3 bedroom chalet room this time, which was a better fit for 2 adults & 2 kids than the 2 bedroom apartment that we were in last time.

This Place could be very hard to find if you are not a local.The overall rating is a 5 because of the peace and tranquility.Items that are needed is a kettle and maybe at least a bit of English tv just in case of rain, so the kids can watch and other can chill.Swimming pool was closed but it is April and a bit cold.I give Lugrin and Evian a 10/10.

The stay was ok. The things that were disappointing was that we didn't have anyone clean our room the whole stay. Even though the reservations stated that daily cleaning was provided. Also, they only provided one roll of toilet paper and if we needed more we were to purchase it. The room also could use a little sprucing up in the bathroom.

A Fun Place to Stay

Very much like being in the mountains of Switzerland, although in France. Access to restaurants, etc. not good because it is 5 km up in the hills above Lake Geneva. It is a residence hotel. You must check in before 7:00 pm or you get a posting on the door telling you how to get a key out of the safe. We arrived after 7 and were able to get in no problem. Where office was was not well marked. Room very spacious and useable. You can make use of kitchen facilities even if you stay only 1 night.

Incredible Location!

The location was incredible! Easy to access from the lakeside road, up in the hills and trees. If possible try to get in a chalet in the front for better view (ability to view Lake Geneva). Pool and tennis courts looked fun. Apt was basic but fine. Cleaning supplies kept in WC made it not so cushy. Tub had hand sprayer but not shower hook/hanger or shower walls so it was a little tricky showering. Staff was friendly.

Lovely rural location and very comfortable chalet. Wonderful feeling of space and peace and quiet. Reception staff not very clued on tourist activities in the area and also despite advert of indoor pool - it is NOT heated in the winter months. Definitely need a car to stay here but would recommend to anyone, especially a family group.

Evian vacation village pretty good and very reasonable

facility is somewhat spartan but has everything as promised. staff speaks little English but French and German. as their front desk is not open all the time during off-season make sure you check and call ahead. they have a small safe at the office door to leave your keys and instructions.

Make sure you get detailed directions how to get there from Google - its about 3 miles above Evian in the hills. there are a number of signs on the access roads.

internet access is great, the login info is on the door of the fuse cabinet in your appt.

Brand new but needs some small home comforts

On checking in, a comprehensive check in information needs to be explained verbally in English. I should not need to come back to ask questions. In addition I should not need to request extra towels when the booking has been made for 2 extra children. The hotel appears to be catering to a long term rental market based on the information provided. For the price paid I would expect complimentary tea coffee and milk. The room on first appearance was not homely, a vase of flowers or a small hamper on the table would have helped. Kitchen fine but there is no point providing a coffee filter machine if you are not going to provide filters or coffee. The motel does not have much to offer compared to accommodation in Evian and it is cheaper in town.

Das Apartment ist alt und sehr hellhörig. Viele Wohnungen sind von Monteuren belegt, die dort arbeiten. Touristen mit Kindern scheinen nicht willkommen zu sein – es gab bereits um 20:00 Uhr Reklamationen wegen Lärms.
Wir haben uns vor Ort ein Bild gemacht und uns dagegen entschieden. Wir werden nicht wiederkommen.

Chambre sale. Une forte odeur de canalisation, moisissure, renfermé. Frigo non nettoyé et avec une mauvaise odeur également.
Pas de draps prévus pour le canapé convertible. Personnel très accueillant. Cadre très agréable. Endroit calme.

Superior apartment in very bad condition

Common areas (pool, tennis court, etc) were very nice. Our apartment was however not fit for being rented out: the bathroom smelled like sewer the entire time, most of the floor boards were misaligned for large gaps in between - just to mention a few things.
In short the “superior” apartment we rented was simply not fit for being rented out. It should have been redone many years ago.

Billigt ophold til fem personer. Gode senge. Slidt værelse og faciliteter, men ok. Dog ikke helt tilfredsstillende rengøring i hjørner og køkkenet. Morgenmaden ok - men i den dyre ende i forhold til udvalget. Poolen ikke så godt rengjort, men roligt og hyggeligt. Ikke for mange mennesker.

Vor dieser Unterkunft können wir nur warnen. Gebucht ein DZ , Doppelbett, EG Gartenblick. Kein Check-in vor 16 Uhr. Das ist Internet die neueste Abzockmasche. Keine 24 Stunden im Zimmer bleiben können. Was wir ja auch gar nicht wollten, aber 16 Uhr haben wir noch nie erlebt. Also brav 1 Std. gewartet. Danach check-in mit € 250,-- Kaution Zimmer für 1 Nacht! Wir haben uns gewehrt, noch nie in 45 Jahren verreisen erlebt. Nichts zu machen, Usus dort. Achtung Zimmer 206 im Hauptgebäude: unter dem Dach, Mansarde, keine volle Raumhöhe, gefühlte 50°, uralt, es roch übel, 2 getrennte uralte klapprige Betten. Uns hat der Schlag getroffen. Wir waren angesichts der Diskussionen an der Rezeption schon so genervt, dass wir das Zimmer nicht bezogen haben sondern abgereist sind. Wer lediglich eine Zwischenübernachtung bucht, kriegt ein grausames Zimmer. Schlüssel zurück an der Rezeption, Aufforderung sofort die € 250,-- zurückzubuchen. Dort herrschte Chaos, weil man die Buchungen der nächsten Gäste nicht fand. Noch niemals haben wir ein so lausiges Zimmer erhalten, auch das Internet ist geduldig mit seinen Bildern. Insgesamt wirkte die Anlage sehr alt, wie aus einer anderen Zeit.

Super schöne Aussicht über den Genfersee. Nettes Personal. Die Unterkunft ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen und müsste saniert werden. Für zwei Nächte aber ok. Preis- Leistungverhältnis stimmt. Zimmer waren sauber.

J'ai bien aimé dans l'ensemble, mais j'ai trouvé vraiment dommage de me trouver dans une chambre au 2eme étage juste au dessous le moteur de la ventilation (je pense). Ce bruit m'a vraiment gêné dans la nuit.

Nous y étions juste pour dormir, rien à dire si ce n’est que la salle de bain a besoin d’un bon nettoyage pour enlever les traces du temps et changer la pomme de douche qui aussi doit être d’époque
Pas d’internet 🙄 bien pour la déconnexion totale mais pas pour prévoir notre chemin et nos visites du lendemain

Acceptable. En revanche on est resté sans wifi pendant trois jours ce qui m’a engendré du hors forfait ! Un conseil : n’oubliez pas de désactiver les données à l’étranger de votre mobile car le réseau détecté dans le logement c’est le réseau suisse.
Un séjour pas loin des stations de ski, Thollon-les-Mémises (12min) et BERNEX (25min).

Adresse difficile à trouver, notre GPS ne connait pas la rue ! Nous ne sommes pas du tout à Evian ni dans la ville de Lugrin mais au bout d'un long chemin où on se demande quand on va enfin arriver. Une caution de 250€ est demandée pour une nuit de passage !! De plus, la piscine était inutilisable, en travaux, plus eau toute sale, verte. Le personnel peu agréable et le petit déjeuner pas ouvert à l'heure convenue (8h c'est déjà tard !) de qualité médiocre pour 11€ et personne ne répond à notre \"bonjour du matin\" !!!

Kurz vorab: sparen Sie sich die Erfahrung mit dieser Unterkunft, es gibt bessere in der Umgebung!
Pro: Preis, Lage, Größe des Appartements, funktionierende Dusche und Kühlschrank
Kontra: Stinkig, stickig, muffelig, Herd funktionierte nicht, Pool klein, mit komisch anmutendem Wasser und kaputten Einstiegen und das Wichtigste: keine Klimaanlage, Räume im Dachgeschoß wie eine stickige Sauna, auch in anderen Stockwerken eine Zumutung, obwohl wir zwei Ventilatoren dabei hatten.

Baigne dans son jus ! Vraiment limite

Propreté vraiment limite. La salle de bain sentait le moisi, avec un rideau de douche salle et plus que douteux, des joints de douche noir, ... Pas d'aération, ni de clim.
Le lit devait bien daté aussi, avec clairement un matelas pas tout jeune avec un trou au centre. Pas génial pour ma femme enceinte. Le nid de guêpe dans la fenêtre, c'était la cerise.
Le personnel n'est pas spécialement aimable.
Je pense que le lieu avait du potentiel, mais il baigne clairement dans son jus depuis pas mal de temps. Vraiment dommage.

Das Positive vorweg: Die Aussicht auf den Genfersee ist grandios! Parkplätze sind ausreichend vorhanden. Die Aufteilung der kleinen Häuschen ist locker auf dem Grundstück verteilt und umgeben von Grün. Bis auf das schöne und vielseitige Vogelgezwitscher herrscht Ruhe. Die Begrüßung an der Rezeption war freundlich. Grundsätzlich also gute Voraussetzungen für eine tolle Ferienanlage.
Aber.
Die Anlage selbst ist komplett ungepflegt. Das (Schutz-) Geländer und die Abdeckung am Pool sind kaputt und liegen quer verstreut auf der angrenzenden Grasfläche. Hätte man zumindest schon mal wegräumen können.
Die Appartments selbst sind hauptsächlich dreckig. Die Möbel sind alt und massiv verschlissen. In den Räumen müfft es. Die Heizung im Bad war defekt, somit blieb es sehr kalt. Kühle ist im Sommer sicher als Vorteil zu werten, nicht aber im Frühjahr.
Viele Häuschen scheinen von Monteuren oder anderen \"Dauerbewohnern\" belegt zu sein.
