Rentrant a 11h d'une promenade au bord du lac, le jour du depart,
notre chambre n'était plus accessible !!! Nous avons dû revenir à la reception pour faire débloquer la serrure...pas très correct !!!

A part ce petit désagrément en fin de séjour, nous sommes satisfaits.

The bed felt old and worn out. Sinking in the middle and the room felt stuffy. The pillows were something else. Wanted to inform reception when I left but it was a bit busy. I am not sure if I will go back ever again especially if I have to pay a rate that expensive and get the room I got. Honestly I couldn’t wait to wake up and leave. Left me disappointed I must say.

Great location on the lake, lovely hotel with very friendly staff. We booked a toom woth a lake view and it didnt disappoint. There was a bemch seat worh cuahions at the wondow and the view was beautiful. Breakfast was very good quality with so much choice.

Beautiful location, a bit outdated

Much like all big chain properties this hotel has all the right elements, location, great service, nice restaurant and bar and a killer view if u r lucky but it needs to be updated. The old carpet, although clean, is not very inviting. The glass partition is an upgrade to the curtains but the water leaks from under the seals that need replacement. Overall the staff were very helpful and courteous and it was a pleasant stay.

Super hotel with amazing lake views

Chose this hotel due to its proximity to the Olympic museum. Turned out to be a wonderful choice! Great staff. Super convenient for the metro, just a couple of mins walk. Very comfy and convenient. Amazing view of the lake which was stunning.

Not as nice as it looks..

The room was directly above the loading dock in the back of the hotel. Starting at 5:30am, there was tremendous noise. People talking/yelling and trucks beeping and honking. Unusable room.

In addition, the water pressure in the shower was not strong enough to water a plant. It was like standing outside in a light rain.

Good stay but chocolate hour is misleading

The rooms were nice, very good view. The breakfast was good, good selection. And the staff were friendly. I can recommend the perch in the restaurant and of course the delivious Mövenpick ice cream (maple and walnut is to die for!) Overall the stay was good. However the Mövenpick website states \"Tick-tock, it’s mmm-o’clock. When the clock strikes chocolate, it’s time to tuck in, with all Mövenpick hotels worldwide treating guests to 60 delicious minutes of sweet indulgence daily; it’s a devour hour not to be missed\" - this is a complete laugh! We asked about chocolate hour at the bar at the dedicated time, only to be met with blank stares and then a promise of a table to be set out shortly in reception. Eventually there were white, dark and milk chocolates and a fruit/ nut chocolate but it wasn't an occasion as described on the website. The next day we returned to the hotel during chocolate hour and there was nothing there! Either do it, and make it good or remove it off the website, as it was hardly something to boast about.

I had an excellent stay at Mövenpick Hotel Lausanne the past weekend. My room had a generous lake view, which I enjoyed very much. The room was clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. The restaurant offers a great selection of signature dishes, I liked the chestnut soup. I am definitely planning to visit again next year.

Nice hotel, service can be improved

The hotel is great, but the service not so good. The parking is available but extremely expensive considering you have a wonderful public parking the other side of the street also covered but much cheaper. The hotel charged me 35 a day when public parking is 20 a day. They didn’t inform me if the price when I call to ask. We had another cushion on the room that I used during the night without a pillow ( not present in the room). When they clean the room in the morning they put the cushion on the official one, again without the pillow, that I need to get myself from the cleaning stuff found in some corridor abandoned.
We lost our keys in the room. I telephone Sunday night telling them to look for them. Call again after two hours. Still today no news from the keys even if I told them to let me know in any case ( found or not)

Beautiful lakeside setting. Hotel was busy over Xmas but they coped well with it.

Hotel is at the bottom of the hill. There is a metro from the station which is included in the hotel rate as are all local public transport. This is a lovely touch.

Very bad experience

Stay one night in November 2022 in Premium Room of 1 Queen Bed. The sanitation was very bad, there was very dirty sheet, many stains on it , and long hair left by the previous customer; the sewer in the bathroom was blocked, and the stagnant water after taking a shower continued until the next morning It's still there; the tissue box in the bathroom is so broken that it will fall if touched; rubbish on the floor of the elevator. The conditions of the entire hotel are very disappointing. I provided all these information to hotel manager with a lot of on-site photos to reflect the actual situation. Very bad experience. I want to post some pictures here...

This was a perfect location for my business trip and all the staff I met were very pleasant. The room was spotless, quiet and very comfortable.
I only ate in the restaurant once and was disappointed that one of their signature dishes was not available - I'd have thought as it was a signature dish they would ensure it was available?

Had a great time at the hotel. Spotless clean room. refreshing to come back to. Would be nice to have yoga mats in the room. Great view with windows that open. Cold beer from the bar. Great breakfast and two working coffee makers! Dinner service was disorganized. No host or manager. I had three different waiters/waitress trying to figure out my order. I will be back, highly recommend, five stars.!

Having stayed at Movenpick Hotel Lausanne many times over the last ten years it is sad to see how the quality of this property has deteriorated. Stayed at one of their “renovated” rooms this time around, which looked extremely tired and in a desperate need for another refresh. In my case the faux-leather headboard was literally pealing off. Saw some stains on the carpet. Another major issue, which is true for many hotels in Switzerland, is their weak air conditioning. I was unable to sleep due to the hot weather, whole opening up the balcony door would attract insects… the staff, while being attentive, lacked the friendliness and warmth for which I used to choose Movenpick over other hotels when in Lausanne

We always stay at the Movenpick for a conference and it typically doesn't disappoint.

This time, housekeeping forgot to replace my towels one day and didn't clean my room at all on another. This was unusual from their level of service. It was dealt with very courteously.

Normally we stay in a smaller upmarket Hotel in Lausanne the Angleterre-Residence for our brief HH oliday stay. Unfortunately they were booked out for this period already 2 months ago. So we booked the Mövenpick Cosy room!
With 350+ rooms there are obviously lots of larger grous arriving which is normally not our scene. Still the staff was very friendly and accomodating and they even found room for our e-bikes in the luggage room!
The Mövenpick restaurants were slightly disappointing and my wifes Emincee de veau an dd its rösti wete at best canteen quality. The Italian moments was a tad better but still kacking that bit of freshness and creativity. Room gor improvement- but overall we were still positivly impressed with our stay there!

Nice clean hotel, right on the Lake. 35 CHfranks is a bit much for coffee and croissant breakfast - but that seems common in Switzerland.
Another European hotel that has a shower that is guaranteed to flood the bathroom floor, because there is only a 1/2 plexiglass door, with no rubber stop on the bottom to keep the water from flooding out.

The location, directly across from the marina, is exquisite.
The staff are extraordinary, especially Lucia, who went way above & beyond to assure that I was comfortable while I was struggling with illness.

Room was at the back of building which was facing, thick trees blocking natural light. Room was dark and poor lit with no main lights in the room. Only table lamps with old energy saving bulbs were available in room.
Fridge was tiny. All TV channels were non English with no subtitles.

This could be better with amount of money paid towards staying.

We booked a \"sleep\" room. Sadly the room did not live up to its billing. The \"sleep pack\" which should have been in the room wasn't there when we arrived on the Saturday night. We asked on Sunday morning but no sleep pack Sunday night. We asked Monday morning, but no sleep pack Monday night. We asked Tuesday morning and ginall it arrived. We checked out Thursday.
The bed which is supposed to give you an amazing nights sleep was really uncomfortable and it was a dreadful nights sleep each night.
The pillows are also really uncomfortable.
The head fell off the shower on day 2. This was replaced the same day.
The blackout curtain is ineffective because it has gaps all around 3 sides.
Anyone who goes to Lausanne regularly knows the hotels are completely over-priced and poor value for money compared to the rest of the world.
The Movenpick used to be worth paying extra for but this is diminishing with each visit.
The breakfast is good it's just a shame the Swiss surliness dominates the staff running the breakfast room. They don't smile and you feel as though they all have miserable lives.
The location is great on the lake and once you get your head around it, Lausanne is easy to get around and the transport card is given to you at all hotels as part of the room price. Make sure you don't forget your transport card.
Overall, if you forget how much you pay in Switzerland for a hotel room, the stay was just about okay although we came home feeling exhausted.

Convenient and picturesque in Ouchy

We spent 2 nights in this spectacular and convenient location on the waterfront. We walked down from the train station, but it would be very easy to ride the metro. We came from the mountains and checking in wearing hiking boots with backpacks we felt a little underdressed in the stylish lobby, but a quick change and we transitioned from the country vacation to the city vacation. It is very convenient to the waterfront, the boats, many restaurants, and the Olympic Museum.
We did not use the restaurant, as we like to explore, but it looked excellent.

Staff were excellent. Breakfast selection was wonderful. Made to order omelette's are always a treat.
Shame about the pillows and mattress. For the 2nd night I made use of the pillow menu and got a little more sleep. For Switzerland and Movenpick, I would have expected better coffee at breakfast; looked good taste could have improved.

Small room, Swiss attention to detail. Very comfortable room either for business or as a tourist. 200 meters away from metro station, meaning city center is less than 10’mins away and EPFL is no more than 30 mins. I would come back here next time in Lausanne definitely.
