We were given an upgrade to a suite as it was our wedding anniversary, which was a lovely gesture and much appreciated. The suite was huge and beautiful, with a balcony giving fabulous views across the city.

When we checked in, we were specifically told that the breakfast and health club/spa was included in our stay. When I received our bill, I was charged over $300 US for breakfast for 3 people.

This is my second time visiting The Palace hotel. The staff is hugely attentive from the moment you get in. The rooms are spacious, well kept and for my purposes, an excellent set up for working with a very comfortable desk. The gym was surprisingly spacious and well stocked with free and cardio equipment. Breakfast was excellent but a bit pricey at 45 Francs! Had I been with my family that would’ve been 200 Francs for breakfast!?
Stay in and have dinner at the hotel restaurant, Grande Chene. All kinds of seafood, but I had the steak tartar as well.
All in all, a lovely property. Try to get a room looking towards the water or don’t spend the extra cash and just get a room in the high floors facing the Cathedral. Beautiful!

A beautiful grand dame of a hotel. It could benefit from an upgrade in the lobby and hallways. We had a junior suite facing the city. Noise from the street and nearby party was quite annoying, so chose a lake view room. The pool and spa were lovely, the kids had a great time! Only a one night stay. Property itself is a classic grand European city centre hotel. Staff excellent in every way - even sorted my squeaky suitcase wheel before I left. Breakfast included and very good. Bed comfortable but pillows not the supportive type I like.
Only negative points for me were absence of USB charging points in the room and the fact my first floor room faced the road which was noisy in the morning and woke me up. Choose a lake facing room to avoid this.

The Lausanne Palace is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious, clean, well appointed. The staff is extremely helpful. The concierge Cindy went out of her way to help me easily navigate the city including recommending the best chocolate shops. The hotel lobby bar was a great morning spot for tea and a croissant. The hotel even had a cigar bar. Highly recommend.

One thing to check if planning a vacation during the hot summer months: how strong is the AC? Many hotels in Switzerland are transitioning to an eco-friendly air conditioning systems which are extremely inefficient and don’t produce enough cooling. Please be aware

I travel very often to Switzerland but had never stayed at the Lausanne Palace. I must say that from now on, this gem of a hotel will be my home-away-from-home. The location, comfort, elegance, service and cleanliness are all without par. The Lausanne Palace was one of the finest hotel experiences I have had in many years. The property is located in central Lausanne and is beautiful inside and outside. We stayed in an executive room which was spacious and very well appointed. Our room had a large washroom with two sinks and large bathtub and shower.
The room has adjustable climate control so you can keep your room as warm or cool as you wish. There are central panels by the bedside to operate all the lights and outer window shade.
The lobby is exquisite with marble pillars, a bar with a very fine expresso machine. There is a spa with steam, sauna, cold shower, and a large swimming pool with adjacent hot tub. The spa also has outside seating to enjoy the sun.
The service is fantastic! The front desk and concierge are very friendly and offer personalized attention during your stay. We used valet parking which is quick and very attentive.
During our stay we absolutely enjoyed our breakfast while sitting outside on a spacious terrace with comfortable seating with umbrellas. There is an inside dining room, also quite nice, but we opted to sit outside due to the very good weather.

A very good property but not the best getaway destination. The hotel is very well located, the conveniences are excellent as well as the amenities, however, it can be very busy. We had a sleepless night after an event at the hotel where loud noise could be heard in our high floored lake view room. After advising the front desk, the hotel was apologetic and offered to comp that night or provide a voucher for our next stay. The candid apology and gesture were appreciated.

I arrived at 23:30, I had a meeting, but no possibility to sit and have a drink anywhere in the hotel! We had to go to a 3-star hotel not far to be served. This truly defeats the purpose of staying at such a place, especially when you spend only 5 short hours in the room and have to leave again.

Absolutely stunning property. Gracious staff and the LP bar is the place to be around 6 pm each night. Looking forward to visiting again. The only change I would make is to request a room facing the water as the street is a bit noisy in the very early morning hours.

Beautiful room, very comfortable, with even a lounge chair in the room to sit and read. Very close to the tram stop. Great bar in the lobby (with among other spirits a 3 page gin list). Couldn't get same day reservations in the main restaurant, but they brought that restaurant's wine list to the other restaurant so we could choose from the larger list. The concierge was very helpful. Great room, great lobby, great service, great location. What else could you ask for in a hotel?

Great 5 night stay. Service was excellent. Bed was super comfortable. Room was spacious. All rooms are a little different but all 4 that I saw were very nice. Pool is indoors but is nice and there is a hot tub and an outdoor area with lounge chairs. Excellent location very close to the metro. Would definitely go back.

The rooms are huge, the bathrooms have plenty of room to put your cosmetics, toothbrush, toothpaste, and other incidentals, the halls are super wide so that you are not banging into each other, and the place is just gorgeous! Of course, what makes this place an absolute 10 is the staff! They are courteous, helpful, professional, and efficient. You feel like royalty checking into the palace !
