Clean room and very pretty, even though it was mid-October it still got hot in the room and there was no fan so we just kept the sliding door open a little bit throughout the night and that worked! We had a balcony and just barely a view of the Matterhorn which was awesome. Tv had lots of channel options in English. Our room was very cozy and comfy. The lady that worked the desk in the evening was great-she was the fire master, bartender, and helped guests at the desk, always making sure we were doing ok. The fire was so cozy after a long chilly day! All of the staff there were great and very helpful with anything we needed, from pickup/drop off from the train station, to any questions about recommendations! The only thing that came to mind that we felt awkward about was when we checked in we only had 1 hand towel and 1 washcloth in our room and when we had asked for one more of each, they made a comment saying that we should get ahold of house keeping but that they would get it this time. But we were never told how we go about doing so when we did not see a phone in the room anywhere. Not really a big deal, just felt like a bit of an inconvenience. Other than that our stay was wonderful!

Amazing hotel, close to the main street, but in a quieter area of town. The nicest people, they took care of everything for us and always did it with a smile on their face. If we ever come back to Zermat, we would stay here again.

I've been in so many great hotels in my life but this one is no doubt one of the best ones I've ever been! They were extremely kind with us. For my birthday they have prepared a table with a birthday card and decor and since we had to leave so early the next morning, they have prepared a bag with sandwiches, yogurt, fruits and drinks for the trip.
We recommend this property 100% if you want to guarantee comfort, great taste in thein interior design and most important AMAZING proactive, kind and friendly staff!

This is our favorite so far in all the hotel we stayed in Switzerland. The hotel is very chic and the room we got is really nice with a good view of Matterhorn. The room is modern and chic. The staff are all friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet has lots of choices in comparison to the last 3 hotels we’ve been in Switzerland. I will stay at this hotel again when I come back to Zermatt

The wellness area is of high quality with a good sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, though it can be busy during peak periods.

I can’t say enough great things about this hotel. The location is perfect. Close to everything in town and only a 10 minute walk to the Matterhorn gondola. The staff is amazing. They are very helpful and kind. The hotel is immaculate. The fireplace in the lobby is super cozy and provides a great spot for a cocktail before dinner. The breakfast was delicious and very plentiful. Our room was very comfortable and had a perfect view of the Matterhorn.

Excellent boutique hotel in a great location. Far enough away, but not too far away from everything. Room was roomy, comfortable and clean, but a bit noisy if you're below heavy walkers. Paying up for the Matterhorn view balcony was worth the money, just don't appreciate the smoking policy on the balconies. I don't smoke and don't like sitting on the balcony smelling other people smoke. Service was good and breakfast was better than average with cook-to-order eggs. All things considered, I would definitely stay there again.

We were welcomed at the train station by the owner and taken with our luggage to the hotel. They pay attention to every detail of the hotel from cleanliness to fine fixtures and amenities. The atmosphere is warm and friendly and the staff is always willing to help explain opportunities of the town or schedule a dinner/ski reservation. The owners are hands on and well respected by their staff. This is a winner and I'd definitely go back to stay with them.

Easy transfer from tasch to hotel. Perfect location, close to all attractions and shops, yet a few blocks away provided quiet and sense of home by the warm welcome from the 2nd generation owners of the chic hideaway. Rooms were modern with everything one would want..one in our party upgraded to deluxe room which provides a sitting area for 30 f a night. Breakfast was good.with fresh omelets and fresh squeezed orange juice. Spa area was welcome each day after hiking with its jacuzzi, steam room and suana, along with stretching tables. Fire pit in lobby area was warm and cozy spot for nightcap. All in all a 9.0 out of 10.

Overall stay is really good. I arrived after their normal work hours in the evening, they have actually arranged a taxi to pick us up from the train station on their cost. Rooms are very well designed and arranged. All drinks is fridge are free of charge is also a plus. Breakfast is well prepared. All staff are super friendly. The only draw back is one of the rooms we had got was located on third floor. We can see the Matterhorn but all are covered by the hotel roof except the horn that is sticking out. I may consider that partially Matterhorn view.

It was our best time in Switzerland!!
Though the hotel was abit of a distance from the main Zermatt train station, it was located right next to the bridge for the best view of the Matterhorn! They also had a free shuttle car service to pick up and send you to the train station for check-in and out which was so convenient. All you had to do was call them at the train station (via a free phone service machine) or get help from the tourist centre also at the train station to help you call them up. We stayed for 3 nights. Our room was clean, comfortable and well-replenished with everything we needed. The bed and pillows were super comfy. Would well have thought they were a 5 star hotel!! Breakfast was the best I've had in the whole of Switzerland, with fresh orange juice, salmon, meats... Could have the same spread every morning and still look forward to it the next day.

The location is good in Zermatt, but I got a very small room that heated up to 120 degrees F if the sun was shining. The manager claims it is much sought after because it has a Matterhorn view, but I found it uncomfortable. Fortunately, the staff moved me immediately upon request, and I only wish I had asked sooner.

Perfect Spot in Zermatt
My girlfriend and I recently spent a couple of nights in Zermatt and were extremely pleased with our stay at Hotel Bellerive. We splurged for a Matterhorn view room and although the first day was cloudy, the view on the second day made it well worth it. The room was very well appointed with amenities like blankets, slippers and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom was extremely clean and modern while the main room nicely balanced modern and rustic décor. The immediate area of the hotel was perfect: only a short walk to the main road's shopping/dining options yet far enough away to offer more peace and quiet. To top it all off, the staff simply could not have been nicer or more helpful. If you're visiting Zermatt, I would highly recommend the Bellerive!

Hotel was charming, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The lobby has a very inviting fire place with seating all around. The only negatives were the ability to hear the neighboring room's conversation and the outdoor bar across the street, which was pretty raucous. All the hotels in town are very close together, so if you find it difficult to sleep with noise outside, whatever hotel you choose in Zermatt, better bring earplugs.

This was one of the most charming hotels and towns we have ever visited. This boutique family owned hotel was absolutely perfect. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay perfect offering us daily suggestions on activities and restaurants. The views of Matterhorn were amazing and the town was full of great dining and shopping. The location was walking distance to everything. The hotel was modern with a mountain feel. I enjoy staying at family run hotels but do not want to compromise on comfort or convenience. This hotel was the only 3 star hotel that I stayed in during my time in Switzerland. Even the 4 star hotels couldn't compare to the bellerive. My husband and I agreed that this was the hotel that we liked the most. The view was nice.We stayed in a deluxe room for the view, and it was well worth it. I liked the unique and tasteful decor. definitely a hotel with the most value for money.

Beautiful hotel in Zermatt
We had a fantastic time at the hotel Bellerive. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the train station and in the opposite direction a 10 minute walk to the tram for the Matterhorn. It is very close to the bridge which has a fantastic view of the Matterhorn. Our room included a balcony which we enjoyed.

This hotel is sweet! It is a 4+ star is MY book (and I'm sure by most standards), though they are officially given 3 stars. Great views, cozy in winter I'm sure. Fireplace in lobby, wonderful outside seating area. Great breakfast included. Fast free Wi-Fi and extremely helpful staff. Picked us up at train station.

Love this hotel!! Only thing I'd add is take some ear plugs, since there is no AC you must sleep with the windows open. Especially during this hot spell. We had some, so, no problem. Wonderful staff. I'd stay again in a heartbeats!!

It was our third visit to Zermatt and we knew how competitive the place is. There are many good hotels and restaurants in this town and the number is increasing year by year. Hotel Bellerive offers very high standard overall. The service and the facility is excellent and the breakfast was the best we had for this class. The Deluxe room was spacy and comfortable, some of the superior rooms we saw are very small ,rather for one person than two. We had trouble with the room temperature and had to keep the window open to be woken up with the party goers going home at 4am from the night club next door. These small issues aside, we would definitely recommend this place.

My wife and I were picked up from the train station on time and the checkin did not take time at all. very quick. it was all ready. Very nice location - center of everything in Zermatt. The breaskfast was standard and pretty good. They even have the option of breakfast in bed if you wake up past 10am - though we were always there beforehand.
Only issue we had was that they did not have the facility to iron clothes (they do have laundry service though). I asked for an extra 30 min to checkout as we were repacking, but the lady said she could only give us 15 minutes. I don't know how the extra 15 minutes would hurt her :I

Everything is fine about this hotel. The rooms is nicely decorated with a big balcony facing the Matterhorn. The furniture, equipment and bathroom amenities are tasteful with good quality and aesthetics. Broad wood plank floor is used instead of ordinary carpet. The sauna with steam room and Jacuzzi in the basement is also nice. The breakfast served freshly squeezed orange juice. The staffs are all very friendly. I highly recommended this hotel.

This hotel is a gem. I have never written a review before, but felt compelled to this time. We booked this hotel based on others' ratings and even with the positive reviews, we were pleasantly surprised. The desk personel were outstanding: very friendly and helpful. We had a triple and it was spacious, extremely clean and comfortable. Our teenage daughter felt welcome at the hotel and loved the free DVD's that she could view. The location is perfect, nicely just off the main street. This hotel is the best value we experienced in Switzerland, not fancy, but certainly nice enough for us.
