Very nice staff let down by a substandard hotel.

No aircon in the rooms. It was 33c when we stayed and our room was boiling all night. There is some kind of ventilation system but it was weaker than a hand fan bought from Temu. Weirdly the communal areas (hall, restaurant etc.) were cool and seem to have aircon. The staff kindly gave us an electric fan which helped a bit, but we barely slept.
There is no fridge and no tea or coffee making facilities in the room. We have just spent 10 weeks travelling around Europe and have never come across such a lack of amenities.

On the plus side every single one of the staff are really nice and professional.

There is a lot of bad to speak of but the only bright spot was Khaled. He works at night and went out of his way to make us happy.

I wouldn’t stay here again. I chose it for the aquarium but too expensive for what you get and no swimming pool.

The hotel is fantastic, close to the metro for getting around. However they have a passive cooling system that doesn’t work that well during a heatwave. We happen to visit during the heat wave and it wasn’t the most comfortable. That seems to be the case with most places in Switzerland. Thank God the staff gave us a fan otherwise we wouldn’t have slept at all.

Poor signage inside and outside wasted about 15-20 driving around AQUATIS building looking for the hotel entrance. Finally we found it and once I got inside, I spoke to Olga at front desk about my free parking and she was very rude and told me I can’t park at the hotel and have find public parking and pay out pocket. Fast forward we got back to the lobby and wait an additional 90 mins past check in time to add to it their breakfast quality and variety of food was very cheap and charged us $24 Swiss franc per person. The only good thing about this place is the metro next to it and wouldn’t recommend this place

Cannot recommend at all - A/C went crazy making loud noises all night long such that it was impossible to sleep. Room could not be switched, and the administration only makes snarky comments instead of making up for it in any way.

I'm an experienced traveler with 50 nights this year - this was the worst hotel of 2023 for me!

Amazing. Had everything we were looking for in our stay. XL room is excellent for facilities. Staff is incredibly kind and accommodating. Game room is great for kids. Super convenient parking. Super clean. Aquarium access right from the hotel along with your discount for staying at the hotel. We were very very satisfied. Only thing I’d say is restaurant hours are a little restrictive on weekdays, but otherwise, I couldn’t ask for better, and I’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

This hotel was new, clean and friendly attached to the new large aquarium. It has its own Metro stop which takes you to all the sights very quickly and easily. Unfortunately the hotel room were very small and basic. No fridge or coffee. Good value and easy access to sights but out of the way

Wonderful hotel with a great spa. Room comfortable and modern. Checkin service was very professional.
However extremely disappointed on the service, the quality and quantity of the \"filets de perche\". Not only did the plate come with 4 filets of perch (38chf), i must admit size was good, but also they charged me 5chf extra for the french fries when i asked for replacing the steam potatoes.
It left me hungry, besides it didn't come with tartar sauce.
Breakfast (20chf) was decent and very satisfactory.
Overall i would stay there again but not to have dinner there.

The staff at check-in was rude. He told me I had to pay CHF 18 per night for parking because Expedia had not confirmed my status, even though I showed him a screenshot. I had to insist 3 times, otherwise I would have been charged. Room upgrade was not offered either.
Other than that it was a pleasant stay, good rooms, very clean, all nice. Too bad they don’t realize that the first impression matters…

Nice and comfortable hotel, friendly staff. No complaints on that.They we’re quick to accommodate and make changes to my room on the spot without any issues.
I only wish the hotel had a simple thing like a tea/coffee machine or a kettle with tea bags and coffee satchets. Would make the mornings so perfect.
Nice location even though I don’t think it was the city center. There are some cafes and restaurants as also supermarkets and pharmacies not too far from the hotel and within a 5 minute walk. Served my needs.

Lovely hotel with amazingly convenient metro acces

This is a beautiful, seemingly brand new hotel that I highly recommend. Loved the lighted \"aquarium\" above the bed, the metro pass is a huge bonus, breakfast is enormous and varied and the metro stop directly at the door is incredibly convenient. I would stay here again with no reservations!

Stayed here twice before, restaurant has really taken a step back, needs to step up its game. Being in the Geneva area, should use a true English translation individuals, instead of Google translate, menu used to be FANTASTIC, this is really below par at this point. More English services should be done, this is an international hotel, where \"We only speak French\" does not serve them well. Great location, nice rooms, easy access with the transit right below the hotel to most places in Lausanne. Aquarium on property opens October 21st and looks to be quite spectacular. Issues are minor things the management can easily fix

Room was clean. Though our previous stay was terrible which made this hotel the best during our trip.
But their Staff is not friendly as I thought. One staff seems to be friendly when in front of more than two guests. But if only you go to that staff, you have to be prepared you will get a \"neutral\" service.

Hotel with no A/C

Would u believe the hotel has no A/C? It only has air circulation. The temperature was 32C outside and it was uncomfortable in the room. Housekeeping did not replenish soap or shampoo for our 5 day stay until asked, and then only once. However, Alexia, the front desk receptionist, was exceptionally helpful. Otherwise, great location, right on top of the metro, and the city tax u pay also gives u passes for the metro. Only if there was A/C.

The hotel is within an unfinished office/retail building to the north of Lausanne (20 mins by taxi and 15 mins by metro) The entrance is hard to find and you walk through a building site to get in. Once inside, it's clean and modern and will do for a business traveller needing an overnight stay

Shame smoking area is the first thing you notice!

The hotel is new, outside is still under construction of the aquarium - hence low prices. One of the worst parts is that the smoking area is right on the door of the hotel. As you go out of the door you're into a smelly smoking area.

Worst hospitality service ever!!

The hotel photos are very appealing and looks very modern. But the hotel has zero level of hospitality:

- on the weekend the restaurant is closed
- during lunch time there is no food available
- the kitchen has no cheese and cannot make a simple cheese sandwich
- there is no bell boy to help with luggage
- there is no room service available so have to take come down to collect whatever you offered and take it up to your room
- to get a beer takes more than 15 minutes
- at night they only have one staff in the entire hotel
- they employ zero kitchen staff so this means the reception staff make the hotel food

Personnel is top notch. From the reception all the way to the general manager which I got to meet: flawless. The hotel might have a 3 S ranking but that is only due to the fact that the monstrous aquarium next door is not yet finished and perhaps because of a rather noisy location due to the fact that it is close to a mayor highway, which is also one of it's main attractive: accessibility. Absolute tranquility and silence are always guaranteed as long as you do not open the windows/sliding door to balcony. Would benefit greatly if they were to add heating water kettle for coffee or tea.

The personnel at restaurant is outstanding, going beyond their duty to accommodate your requests or whims. Would most certainly recommend, specially at their present promotional prices. Bonus are free parking and free public transportation in the greater Lausanne area not to mention free wifi. Would recommend most strongly and wholeheartedly.

One night in Lausanne

New hotel with large rooms (we had a junior suite). It has a huge lobby which does not feel comfortable (a personal impression). The room was cold as was the bathroom. Around the sofa old dust. The bathroom spacious and new, but very impractical in a several ways (shower curtain dopes not reach the floor so you flood a part of the bathroom, toilet in a narrow corner despite enough space elsewhere, faucet so small you can hardly get your hans beneath it). Breakfast was ok considering the price of CHF 20 pP. Receptionists were friendly and polite. Location is good considering access from/to traffic, but the surrounding is depressing with construction sites all around. It is ok if you plan to stay for one night in a convenient location.

The hotel had just opened when we were there, so everything was brand new, clean and chic. The aquarium wasn't open yet, but looks like it will be fantastic. We were at the end of our trip and this hotel was welcoming, comfortable, and relaxing.

Very new/modern hotel. Area around it is not quite finished, so nothing (AT ALL) nearby...but it is on the metro line so you can easily get into the town centre and they provide you with a free travel pass.

Cons:
Shower has style over function - because of the flat base it leaks water everywhere
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room
No fridge in the room - would have been nice to chill a bottle of water.
Breakfast was expensive and there was very little to choose from. The hot offering had only very small bowls and quickly emptied as soon as it was brought out. I was waiting around 15 minutes for the next batch of hot food to be brought out. (Only plus point was the very nicely cooked/ tasty bacon)

Brand new very clean, quiet hotel

This is a brand new combined hotel / aquarium; the hotel is finished whilst the aquarium is still being completed, however this does NOT mean that there is building noise. It is spotlessly clean and very quiet with pleasant approachable staff who speak english. It is situated in the suburbs of Lausanne but right next door to a metro station from which trains run every six minutes (until midnight) to the city centre, main train station and water front. In return for paying the city tax you get a free pass for use of all Lausanne public transport for the duration of your stay. Breakfast perhaps overpriced but this is Switzerland. I would definitely stay here again.

Really nice time .

I loved my 6 days in hotel with my family, really pretty modern design, felt like brand new home, very nice and has been kept clean all the times, even we went out , and came back to our room we always found it tidied just as our first visit.

only one thing I am to share that I have felt the air conditioning has not been working, cos we never felt it, cos when my partner checked it said no air coming out of it, when I mentioned this to 1 of staff member she said we have same air conditioning in whole hotel all new latest, u don't hear or feel it, it's like normal. but tell u the truth I doubt it that even she knows it but wasn't excepting it.she was convincing me that I don't feel it but she can feel it her self, me with children and my partner knew 100% aircondationing is not working we were like sweating lightly and did felt uncomfortable first 3 days after that it rained.apart from small doubt mentioned above I can still recommend it and can still go back in future.

Brandnew modern and clean hotel. Close to the highway but still not noisy. The surrounding of the hotel is still under construction but at the weekend it was quiet. The metro ticket was provided and the station is right next to the hotel. So it was very conveniant and parking at the hotel was free. Only the air conditioning was not working well. According to the staff the fan speed could be controlled but we couldn't feel any difference.
