Our room was not only spacious but also had a truly incredible view of Lausanne and Lake Geneva! The staff was very helpful. Breakfaast was plentiful and varied--but be sure to get there by 9:30--the staff clears the offerings by 10:00 a.m.

The restaurant at the property served very good steak. The property is basically a part of the hospital next door and you will see some patients who stay for the hospital cares in the breakfast venue. It felt strange when we realised that fact, but actually not a problem at all for the quality and price you get. And we saw a few new-born babies, which is a blessing.

From Lausanne Gare, there is a very steep walk to hotel, I would not recommend walking if you are traveling with luggages and kids. Very nice breakfast with assorted bread, oats, flakes, fruits, coffee, pastry, milk, juice, meats, nuts and warm potatoes.

Very spacious rooms and very clean. For a family of four it was great! It is a hotel for patients staying in the nearby hospitals, however it worked very well for us. Train and metro transportation very close by and convenient.

The concept is a nice idea but not for us.. Wasn’t aware this hotel was a hotel for hospital patients. There is no tea / coffee making facility in the room, in fact the room although very clean is literally a bed, one pillow each, and very basic. Although calling itself a hotel it is more like a hospital room. The ‘restaurant’ is more a canteen, and although the food is good there are hospital patients with cannulas, bandages and new borns wondering around.
I do like the idea this ‘hotel’ is trying to do but if classing themselves as a hotel they need to add that hotel feel not a hospital. If you are travelling for pleasure (couple break away for us) perhaps not for you, if you want a quick stop to get your head down then it would do.

The room and all facilities at the hotel are super clean and free of any odors. The room is quite spacious. We loved the clean white clutter free design. The bathroom was very spacious unlike other hotels in Switzerland. The breakfast was great and we enjoyed the variety of food. The hotel staff are courteous and friendly.

Hotel and room were very good. Convenient location next to a Metro stop. Room did not have Aircon but had things in place so could ventilate the room. Could do with a small fridge in the room and extra cup etc left as there were 3 of us in the room. Overall though, a really good hotel and would stay again.

Hotel was close to the(underground)train station. When you get off the train take the up the stairs or elevator to the main road and walk up the hill to the hotel. Less than 5 minute walk and not very steep hill. Staff member was super helpful. I had called earlier to ask about early check and was told no, but they could store our luggage if we wanted to sight see, but when we got there a couple hours early our room was ready which was great. Our room was quite large, bigger than we expected. Had a bed, a hide a bed couch, living room area, big bathroom, TV, and fan. No air conditioning in room but fan was helpful. Hotel is called Hotel Des Patients because it is near or connected to a hospital so family members have a place to stay if a loved one is in the hospital. We didn't know that when we booked it, but everything was wonderful. Staff members spoke good English and were very helpful with everything. Helped figure out my phone to get the free hotel internet, gave us an umbrella to borrow on a rainy day, stored our luggage when we checked out so we could go to church by train without lugging that around, and staff was just very pleasant and eager to help. Breakfast and lunch service was very good also. Breakfast was a big spread of food; fruit, yogurt, breads, meat, cheeses, sausage, bacon boiled or scrambled egg, chocolate or white milk in a box, cereal and a few other things, and self serve coffee and juice station. Great hotel and friendly staff!

Hotel was very clinical, more of a hospital than a hotel. On discovering more the hotel is used by patients of the nearby hospital. There is a maternity floor and patients come to breakfast with bandaged limbs, carrying oxygen bags. Very strange. It stated parking was free but this was not the case. Also no air con. Hotel was very clean. Good breakfast but wont stay here again.

It is a hotel where some of the guests are people who are either being discharged from the hospital, or are mothers of new born babies, will be staying before they go home. This was not an issue, and it appears they are in a different part of the building from other hotel guests. The hotel is extremely clean and comfortable though because of this. Our room was big and bright, and the staff were amazing. Parking was easy and right on location, breakfast was excellent, and it's a very short walk to the subway station.

This is an amazing place to stay with large well designed rooms and we had a wonderful balcony. We were warmly greeted by Gaetan, the man at the front desk, and he made our stay extra nice : ). He is a wealth of information and very helpful. Parking is easy and connected to the hotel. The breakfast was the best we had so far on this trip. Lots of choices for all diets. This is a hospital hotel for people who want family to stay close by or for those new mommies who want to rest a few more days. You may see some cute newborns at breakfast! This hotel is a gem! Quiet, comfortable, super clean, had easy access from the metro. The room was wonderful as well as the staff. Our room came with a buffet breakfast which was very good - a varied selection of meats, cheeses, cereals yoghurt, eggs, fruit, breads - delicious! As a guest, you’ll be given a pass for free local public transport as described by the staff. The surrounding area is devoid of tourists, but is in an area with medical facilities nearby. A unique setting - but a wonderful place to stay! Would definitely stay here in the future!

The place is so clean and close to the train, making exploring the city very convenient. As soon as we got to the train station from Geneva, we jumped on the train to go up to the hotel—a straightforward and good location.

Clean, very large rooms for a reasonable price. There was a group of 9 of us with 4 rooms for a weekend in Lausanne. Everyone was pleasently suprised with the rooms.
Breakfast whilst basic, was good. Especially as it was included as standard. Location was brilliant. Walkable to the centre as well ad Geneva lake if you don't mind a long walk. Or right near a Metro which goes straight in.

I didn’t realize it was attached to a hospital until we saw a newborn being pushed down a hall. The hotel is very clean and modern. It’s quite a ways from the train station and we chose to walk. Bad decision because it’s all uphill. We learned real fast about the metro. So convenient. Great breakfast! Spacious room and bathroom.

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Lausanne. It is very close to public transport. We always used tram via chuv station to travel within the city. Very accessible to travel to other cities like Montreux which is just 45 minutes by train. Our room was big considering that we are a family of four (with 2 teenagers) and had very good buffet breakfast.

This is a hospital not a hotel. It is full of sick patients. There are very sick people coming and going all day long. There is even a hospital clinic on the 1st floor. I think this needs to be explicit in the listing of this hotel so people are aware of what they are booking.

This is NOT a standard hotel. It's a hospital residence. I honestly didn't expect the name of the property to be so literally a \"Patients Hotel\". It just happens to be open to the general public as well.
When we walked into the property, there were ambulances parked in front and nurses in the lobby. This is the point where I should have looked for a new hotel. I'm very uncomfortable in hospitals and this felt no different.
Some of the staff were incredibly rude and unhelpful.
Despite the sterile smell in the halls and rooms, I had a pastry in the room for 24 hours before it was covered in mold. Since there are no fridges in the rooms, around $100 worth of chocolate from our travels that I intended on bringing home had completely melted by the end of our stay.
One of the nights during our stay, there was a bag of medical refuse just sitting in the elevator.
Amenities were sorely lacking. There was no air conditioning, an essential in modern hotels. Keeping the windows open didn't help and allowed the sound of the hospital helicopter into the room.
The 20 CHF daily fee for parking does not guarantee you a spot as the garage is overbooked and barely large enough to maneuver a larger car.

The breakfast was mediocre at best, and we were seated with patients who still had IV connections and gauze bandages applied.

Had a pretty good stay, hadn’t realized that this was actually in the hospital. With the windows open there was a lot of street noise even on a high floor. Booked this hotel partly because of the triple room that we understood to have a queen snd single bed. instead our teenage son had to sleep on a sofa bed. This hotel was…unexpected. We didn’t realize it was an actual patient hotel. As in there was a guy wired up for his EEG in the lobby. Folks at check in were lovely. Very clean; some might even say sterile. Definitely smelled like a hospital so that could be triggering for some. No air conditioning. We had a fan and left a window open. It was fine for late May but I could see it being quite hot in the summer months. The location was good. We walked everywhere but public transportation access is close by. The breakfast buffet was good but again, the hospital vibe was strong. Folks with IV ports and bandages, and women who just gave birth with their newborns all share space at the pastry station with the tourists. Again, odd. Would I stay here again? No. Will my friends and I laugh about accidentally staying in a hospital for the next year? Yes.
