We had visited Eriyadu last year & although the accommodation & public areas were now looking a little tired the actual island, staff & the whole experience was like our first ever visit to the Maldives 25 years ago. On returning they had completed a planned full refurbishment of all rooms & public areas and the transformation was amazing. Very modern & contemporary while keeping the relaxed feel of the island.

Resort is undergoing a complete renovation to a high standard. As of mid December 2025, restaurant, bar and pool area are finished, along with a brand new gym. Work is ongoing to some beach bungalows and all the 2 storey blocks and tennis court. It has been rebranded Eri Maldives under new ownership I believe. The works are causing a little disruption but once finished I would give it 5 stars. Great staff, great food and a beautiful little island (10 minutes to walk all the way around) and a really good reef for snorkelling straight off the beach.

Se avete voglia di distruggervi le vacanze questo e' il posto ideale.
1. Scarafaggi in quantita' industriale all'interno delle camere
2. Posto sporchissimo, lenzuola piene di urina e Manager che ci rifiuta di cambiarvele
3. Cibo di qualita' infima. Rischiate purtroppo come nel nostro caso intossicazione alimentare
4. Struttura carente al punto tale che avanti ai nostri occhi e' collassato un molo in cemento, se ci fosse stato qualcuno sopra sarebbe morto.
5. I turisti che frequentano il posto sono quasi tutti alcolizzati, avanti ai nostri occhi e' partita una rissa tra ubriachi con sedie che volavano da una parte all'altra del locale
6. Se piove siete finiti, l'isola non ha alcuna organizzazione quindi dovete rimanere in camera.
7. Per conclucdere, tutto cio' che leggete su Expedia (servizi, struttura, etc) e' falso. Non funziona nulla di tutto quello che vi vendono.

1 area is not updated yet. We stayed to first 2 night a house without wifi and no update yet. Furniture was old and many items not in the house. When we got a transfer to the other side with the upgraded house everything was perfect

Food and buffet is great, good staff. Recommend all-inclusive

A quiet island away from the more commercial islands. Excellent for people who want to get far away from the world of people.

They gave us a so-so room at first which had no beach. We paid for a room with beach in its front yard. They gave us the room after we complained and told them about our expectations. Also, the phone lines were not working at the premises. We also had to get the room lamps and safe fixed just after we entered the room. The staff should be mindful of what they are offering to the tourists. :|

Lovely island of the 'no news no shoes' old style. Simple and relaxing. Rooms are tired as are towels etc but the scenery and house reef easily make up for this. Food can be a little repetitive. But a great place to stay if you just want to relax.

Location, beach, snorkeling, staff, food and drinks were really great. Coral is not good, but this seems like an issue in most places now. Room was adequate, but who spends an island location in their room? Only concern was that bathroom floor tiles were very slippery when wet. Overall, a fantastic holiday in a great relaxed and easy-going resort location. Also, thanks to Oonah?, waiter in restaurant, and also security guy on the jetty, who were both very friendly.

CHECK IN - taken from boat to the reception by a smiling Jenny. They took my passport to a side room and returned it to me. Jenny walked me to the room with the luggage guy holding my small suitcase. Dropped me off at the room with the wifi password. That was the extent of the \"information\" I was given. This was Friday.
INSECTICIDE - Was relaxing in front of the room admiring the quiet beach and clear waters, when I hear a loud motor sound behind me. I stand and look for the source, and see a man with a face mask jogging right at me holding a canister that is spraying a thick white cloud of chemical wherever he aims the hose. He sprays my room's outside walls, including the open air bathroom's external wall. He's jogging toward me at high speed, with no sign of stopping. All I see are his eyes behind the mask. Thick white cloud gives off the stink of insecticide. Not knowing what to do, or if he's planning to spray me down as well, I grab my book and run into the room.
FOOD: Delicious. STAFF in the kitchen and bars: great.
Check in needs to provide more information to guests. Including: there's a paper in the room to read, orientation in the evening (EXCEPT on the Friday that I arrived), insecticide weekly, hours of meals.
I feel that if the check in had given me more info, I would've been prepared for the terminator-style guy running at me with fumes, and not had such a strong reaction to being surprised by it all. Or missed breakfast as it ends at 9:30am (very early)

Amazing little island with beautiful reef and friendly staff. The rooms would require some serious renovation though and the whole island needs a new set of towels, seating pillows etc, which are rather on the dirty side. For a 'rather' expensive destination the hotel could at least provide basic things like toothpaste or cheap toothbrushes, in case customers forget theirs. We aren't so picky about these things but some customers might feel disappointed by these small things that could easily be fixed without much money investment.

Staff were extremely welcoming and courteous. Island was quiet with no pushy sales - ideal for a really relaxing holiday. Beds were changed everyday with new towels for the bathroom and separate towels for the beach plus two complimentary bottles of water. The restaurant food and beach barbecue food was excellent with a huge choice every day. There was also a separate menu for special occasion dinners such as birthdays or anniversarys and the staff would prepare everything as a surprise to make it as memorable as possible. The Island had a 360degree coral reef surrounding it and for anyone interested in snorkelling or diving this was an experience not to miss.
The bar drinks and cocktails have been kept at a low price but be aware that anything you purchase on the island ie. Drinks, trips etc you will be charged two taxes - 10% service charge and 12% government service charge.
Most people go all inclusive.
I would recommend Smartline Eriyadu for a truly memorable experience.

Pleasant stay at eriyadu

First trip to maldives. Excellent resort. Beautiful view. Clean beach. Staff is very friendly. Rooms cleaned twice daily. Children play area is good. My 2 yr old had a nice time.

Not much options for food for vegetarians.
If its raining, water gets inside open bathroom and floor is all wet.

Overall a pleasant stay. A little paradise.

Paradise revisited

My 2nd time at Eriyadu and it was good to be back. Beach bungalow had all the amenities required for a stay on the island, good bathroom, comfy bed, plenty of storage, tea & coffee, fridge, wi-fi, air conditioning, tv (although not many english channels, but who wants to watch tv?) and kept clean and tidy by my house boy. Euro Divers dive centre is excellent, special mention for Dirk - a great guide, very encouraging, knowledgeable and helpful. Saw dolphins, turtles, lion fish, sharks & loads of other great stuff at the excellent dive sites, suitable for all levels of experience. I was well looked after by the hotel staff and manageress was very approachable and ensured that all guests were being provided with everything they needed. Drinks in the bar - I only drank beer but it was spot on. Enjoyed playing pool with my new friends. All in all, great break.

Short stay in Maldives

We stayed four nights. The island is beautiful. Hotel facilities ok, but probably not a 4 star hotel generally. Food is excellent. Everting else as I guess is the case for the entire region is quite expensive. Not a luxurious choice but quite, relaxing, has enough things to do and it is beautiful not so close to Male some 30 km by boat.

Very nice reef with sharks, turtles and so on...

We spend at 6 nights at Eriyadu with our kids, speed boat transfer was a little bit longer as they said instead of 45 mins it took close to an our which is not so nice when wavey. On our return trip the ocean was calm so we had a comfortable ride. We had delux room which is big enough for two but also can accomodate plus two more kids but than the room is basicaly a huge bed. It is very positive for me that they allow 4 persons in one delux room. Food is great, staff in the restaurant are very kind played always with the kids, we had all inclusive plan so breakfast, lunch, small snack at 4pm, and diner is included in the price. Basic beverages plus soke alcoholic drinks are also included but only 4 coctails are included in the plan.

The stay was perfect. The resort is nice with nice staff. The island is small and perfect for a honeymoon. Food is good and buffet is well varied. Bathrooms should be equiped with shower gel. We didnt like that we had to wait for 2 hours at the airport for our boat trip. Overall the experience was pleasant and the resort is recommended.

Absolute paradise

An amazing hotel at a very affordable price. Staff were very welcoming upon arrival on the island and gave us a tour around before taking us to our room.
Staff go above and beyond to ensure guests have an unforgettable time, especially staff in the main restaurant and Blitz bar.
We had such an amazing time and are already planning our return next year.

We spend our Honeymoon in Eriyadu Island Resort,and we didn't regret it.
If you don't want to spend a lot amount of money but would you like to visit Maldives i definitely recommend Eriyadu Island Resort.
Amazing staff,nice smallquiet beach,and great food.

Arrived Maldives at night, the friendly staff greeted us and took us to the ferry. It took around 40 mins to arrive the beautiful island. Every staff in the resort was very friendly and helpful and satisfied what you asked for. We reserved the superior room with all-inclusive. Room was clean and right in front of the sea, bed is big and comfortable, wifi was a bit slow but still fine. They only offered shampoo/ shower gel, bring your own toothpaste and toothbrush if you don’t want to spend extra money. The beach is beautiful and there is a beach bar to keep us hydrate with drinks. A variety of food in the main restaurant and the food was great and mainly western style, fish curry was delicious. Friday night seemed to be Chinese dishes night and the dishes was a bit salty. We had the signature massage in the Spa center and it was so good and the ladies did the great job. Great thing in Eriyadu is the dive center, you may get all the gears and equipment for snorkeling and diving. Instructors and staffs are well-knowledgeable and they give the best advices. Snorkeled the whole island was the amazing experience. I will come back for the next trip to Maldives.

Amazing island w/ average service you don't expect

Eriyadu Island Resort is situated on an amazing island. The natural beauty such as the beach, coral, sunset are simply stunning. Under such paradise-like settings, a lot could be forgiven such as the average food & drinks. However, given the cost of the resort, I would expect simple things like napkins and disposable slippers to be provided in the room. We were asked to purchase slippers from the gift shop! There is no wifi or wired connection in the rooms and you could only get snail pace highly unstable edge data on the Island. Just trying to get online to take care of business so I could be back to relaxing gave me high blood pressure. Finally, the bathroom had a pungent sewer smell which the clean up guy \"fixed\" by spraying the room with an air freshener. I mentioned the smell the following day and was ignored.

Perfect location for quiet and relaxing holidays

We landed at Male airport around 8am. The day before we got confirmation of speed boat transfer details. Eriyadu representative met us at the arrival hall and after 30 minutes waiting our boat arrived. Since then we really felt that we are going to paradise. Trip by boat took around 40 minutes and little Eriyadu appeared to our eyes. Warm welcome and swift check-in was good promise of wonderful stay on Eriyadu.
Initially we checked-in to superior room, which wasn't bad just looked old and worn out. Thanks to Aaron, who saw us being not very happy about the room, he gave us different, deluxe room which was much nicer and most importantly this was free-of-charge upgrade!
Our stay was just fantastic: friendly staff, always willing to chat and help but not overwhelming, variety of good food (we had only half board but it was enough), clean room, good housekeeping, wonderful beach, sand, house reef, snorkeling.
The island is small but well maintained and clean and kept as much as possible in its natural state and close to the nature. Perfect place to chill out and relax as well as heaven for divers and snorkeling. There is no luxury there but it is very comfortable. Practical advise: bring some bottled water with you as locally supplied is very expensive.

Très bel hôtel avec peu de chambres sur une île calme et préservée. La végétation est luxuriante et le récif est en très bon état. Le personnel est attentif et sympathique.

Quelques points négatifs pourraient être améliorer :
- les activités sont très chères. Une plongée sous marine coûte 120 USD avec l’équipement et les taxes. 1h de kayak coûte 44 USD. Même la location d’un masque et tuba est payante.
- il y a un seul bar et il est occupé tous les soirs par une activité de groupe type quizz ou karaoke. Impossible de lire au calme au bord de la mer en prenant un verre.
- il n’y a pas de fontaine d’eau potable disponible en dehors des repas, même en formule full board. Il faut acheter des bouteilles au bord et elles sont chères.

l'isola è veramente bella come pure il reef. Il personale sempre disponibile e sempre con il sorriso. I manager veramente professionali e pronti a soddisfare le esigenze dell'ospite. Camera ampia, letto e cuscini comodi. Pasti con ampia scelta. Le migliori camere sono dalla 221 alla 233 , io avevo la 230 favolosa !! Unica nota negativa il DIVING , di solito vado alle Maldive per fare alcune immersioni,di solito da 7 a 10, ma quì non pianificano le uscite in barca, infatti non trovi una sorta di lavagna con di solito l'elenco dei siti programmati per la settimana o almeno del giorno dopo , a richiesta le risposte sono queste: \"DOBBIAMO VEDERE DOMANI COME è IL MARE e COME è IL TEMPO\" Non capisco come fanno ad organizzare le uscite in barca con partenza alle ore 8 del mattino senza dirtelo almeno il giorno prima. Sono riuscito a farne due in dieci giorni di permanenza entrambe in una unica mattinata, che mi hanno confermato alle 5 di pomeriggio del giorno prima perchè mi sono recato io da loro quasi chiedendo per favore , tengo a precisare che eravamo in 4 partecipanti. Nei giorni successivi che ci fosse il sole o il tempo nuvoloso non cè più stato verso di farne delle altre. per la decima volta che programmo le mie vacanze alle Maldive per le immersioni ,non mi è mai capitato di trovare un DIVING così disorganizzato sul piano schedule immersioni , probabilmente sono più bravi con le uscite SNORKELING.

L'isola è bellissima, la camera comoda, spaziosa, confortevole, personale gentilissimo e attento a tutte le richieste. Spero che la proprietà faccia in modo di non deturpare l'ambiente con la costruzione di case sull'acqua ... è proprio il caso di dire che l'uomo deve ridurre al minimo il proprio intervento per conservarne la bellezza

En trevlig resort med mycket tillmötesgående personal något slitet. Speedboat från Male ca 45 min. Kunde önska lite mer av maten men svårt när det är buffé.
Mycket fint hus rev för både snorkling och dyk, jättebra dykcenter. Överlag mkt. nöjd min vår vistelse.

このホテルは「衛生面」でひどく問題があります。滞在２日目の夕食直後、夫婦そろって食中毒になりました。しかしスタッフは「自分たちのせいではない。あなた方のの体調のせいでは？」と言いました。しかしながら私たちは、ホテル内でしか飲食をしていません。激しい腹痛と嘔吐が一晩中続き、３８度の熱が丸１日中続き、ひどく衰弱しても、ホテルは何も出来ませんでした。また、レストランの食事はどれも脂っこく、硬く、病気の人間が美味しく食べられるものはほとんどなく、ずっとひもじい思いを余儀なくされました。このホテルを選んだことで、貴重な時間とお金がムダになりました。このようなホテルを存続させている「モルディブ」という国自体にも大きな責任があると思います。

Personeel in de bar was zeer onvriendelijk. Eigenlijk alleen receptie en bij het eten was men vriendelijk. Ons appartement moest echt vernieuwd worden, badkamer vol met schimmel en riolering stonk.
