Amazing place. Staff were very nice, helpful and friendly (except at the Stars restaurant). The island is small but its very well maintained and everything smells like tropical flowers. Everything very clean and five stars room service. Food was good but could be a little bit better and had more variety.
We will be back!

From the first moments of welcome all the way to our last boat ride back - everything was truly spectacular. This was our third time in the Maldives and definitely the best. The quality of service is quite unparalleled- every staff member we interacted with was kind, helpful and competent. We felt right at home.

The hotel was a perfect combination of family friendly without it feeling too much of a family resort. Our beach villa was spectacular - spacious, great facilities, and with thoughtful housekeeping service. We were also very happy with the morning and evening buffet and overall the quality of food and drink was excellent. The hotel’s water policy was also very guest friendly and it was so relaxing not having to worry about having to constantly purchase water bottles. We also greatly appreciate that we were able to both check-in early and check-out late - that is the type of service and guest friendliness that really makes Coco Bodu Hithi stand out for us.

Lastly, a big thank you also to the kids club staff and facilities. I would definitely recommend advertising the kids club more prominently on the website or on other booking platforms as that can be a motivating factor for other families.

All in all we had truly a wonderful stay. We would be happy to come back to Coco Bodu Hithi again soon.

The property was a great size to explore with excellent staff and amenities. The food was amazing and overall facilities, design, and state was brilliant. We would go back in a heart beat. The one item that left us really disappointed was the fixed transfer, I couldn’t see way it wasn’t included considering we weren’t allowed any other option. The other item was the pool in our water villa, we didn’t use due the grease and oil on the tiles staining out body and swimwear when touched. We asked to have it cleaned twice but nothing was done

- Lakshi - host and check-in throughout the stay was extremely helpful and proactive in making our stay phenomenal

- Cladin John - helped to retrieve the ring when it fell between the decking. Went under the decking in a very awkward area and retrieved both rings fast

The water villa pool has tiling coming loose and is need of dire maintenance. But the room in itself is phenomanl as give access to the ocean directly !

We went for our honeymoon here and we had an amazing unforgettable experience!!

The whole staff especially Hammadh, Hilal and the Air restaurant team, and Shariful at the Stars restaurant are some of the most amazing people we have met and took care of us throughout our stay to make it feel like a home away from home.

The facilities and dining are world class and the spa was stunning!! We would go back in a heartbeat. Thanks Coco Budhi Hilti for a perfect honeymoon.

We had an amazing holiday here. Stayed in the residence villas. Zayan was our butler. Did an outstanding job. Property was almost full so getting reservations at restaurants was difficult. I would recommend getting dinner reservations booked before you even arrive if you plan on visiting during tourist season. We ate dinner and breakfast twice at stars. Amazing service from Naahil and Aneef.

We planned on this being a once in a lifetime vacation and are now considering returning in the future.

The resort is very nice and the staff are very welcoming. The villas are a delight to be in and overall the resort is picturesque.
One thing that they may improve upon is their ability to be more accommodating.
More than often,they never pay attention to your requests. They retort to rhetorics when asked for special requests or upgrades.
For all those people who are staying for few days, go for an all inclusive package, else you will end up paying anywhere and everywhere.

Nice staff. Good food. Residence villa we stayed in is in bad need of renovation. No way it is a 5 star villa. Furniture old. Bed is old. Doors to the sun deck and pool do not close well and leak worm air all the time. Tv reception is bad. No stereo system. Bath room amenities are 2 star quality. Bath room light fixtures look like they are 50 years old. AC broke and needed repair. Power was lost in the night several times. This facility has the potential to be really good but they have lots of work to do to get it back in shape.

We stayed in a coco residence. It was exquisite. It was so spacious with a living room, a bed room and huge bathroom. We had our own indoor pool and lounge area all on top of water. The views were breathtaking specially at sun rise and sun set. The food at the air restaurant was great. Again, I have nothing to complain about, it was luxurious and exceeded our expectations.

All you would expect from a luxury resort

We chose Coco Bodu Hithi for the second part of our honeymoon. The place is amazing and has all you would expect from a luxury resort in the Maldives. Some of the staff was excellent, others were a bit slow. A few flaws, like e.g. payment upon arrival, the same playlist in the restaurant every day, a very poor guitarist... couldn't ruin the overall great experience we had. But be prepared to pay a lot for everything you do. And you have no alternative.

we went to the resort for our Honeymoon, it was amazing our stay at Coco Bodu Hithi, the island just beautifull, the villa over water is perfect, a few meters snorkeling we found baby sharks, rays, lots of different fishes and turtles

The breakfast is very wide and the service was fabulous, unfortunately in May the whether is not so good, but we had very sunny days.

At Hotels.com did not advise that the hotel was not Drone friendly, so we coundnt fly our drone.

Surpassed expectations!

From the moment we arrived on the island after our 20+ hour flight from Sydney, we had felt relaxed. We were welcomed by friendly smiles and a cold face towel to freshen up and check-in was swift.

Once finally at our over Water Villa, the images of the resort had come to reality. It was exactly as pictured and we were not disappointed.

The activities and dining options are relatively pricey but that is to be expected. This is NOT a trip you would take on a budget but EVERY aspect was worth each dollar.

Staff were always very friendly, helpful, willing to go above and beyond to ensure your trip is every bit pleasurable. A tip would be to exchange smaller notes to be able to give gratuities to the staff.

The country accept USD so keep this in mind as the money exchange service (in Sydney) had said that they accept French Franc (eye rolls).
MUST :
- Order a fresh omelette made to your liking at breakfast, it will change your world!
- Go to the Latitude bar for lunch every day as they have a larger menu then the in room dining (e.g. pizza etc)
- Hop on Jetski with a guide so you can be taken to private sandbank for more snorkelling fun
- Have the private candlelit degustation dinner under the stars with your own personal pergola
- Definitely book in for the Coco Signature Treatment (for couples).. I recommend doing this on the last day and booking a smaller treatment on your first day. It was the PERFECT way to wrap up our holiday!

This was paradise!

I had the best time here. Everyone on the team was super friendly and i truly enjoyed my stay. I was there long enough to take the open water scuba course, pass it, and go on additional dives. I was also able to go on other excursions through the resort water sports facility. The resort was dreamy and relaxing. I will definitely be back.

A beautiful resort but our 3 water villas we reserved were a bit dusty upon check in.

Outside the veranda of the 3 villas we reserved, some of the staircase rails we not intact & several planks of stairs going inside the sea were not in placed. A hazard for accidents.

Overall, it was a great place to stay for 3 nights. Wonderful memories.

Lovely island close to Male'

The Coco counter is just a one minute walk once you clear immigration and collect you luggage. The resort rep meets and greets you promptly on arrival and takes you to the waiting medium sized speed boat. Bodu Hithi resort is about 40 miniutes by boat. The island is beautifully laid out with shady pathways leading to the island villas. The island villas have a very private feel, large with a private plunge pool on one end and the other end leading towards the beach. great experiance. The water is warm and the weather was fine. Plenty of activities - yoga, JetSki hire, snorkelling, diving to choose from. The staff give you a very warm welcome on arrival and also ensure that you get a nice send and off. I also liked the weekly beach cocktail party thrown by the management to get feedback from guests.

Nice but over-priced

Ridiculously expensive food and drinks (over 200 USD) for a very mediocre meal for a couple and that's a really nice way to say that.

We tried various of their restaurants as well as the in-villa dining which was always served our dishes cold for some weird reason.

The WiFi is really really really really slow, I can't really emphasise how slow it is (speed test was always failing due to network issues...to slow...)

Besides that, the natural scenery there is amazing.
They have a very nice reef there in the Water Villa's area (we saw there a sea-turtle, black tip reef shark, octopus and lots of cool fishes, the corals are also really beautiful).

So all in all, if you are foodies it's probably not the place for you, otherwise although the value for money (especially talking about the food and drinks) is far from great but we still had a really good time.

The perfect honeymoon!

Great place to spend a perfect honeymoon. Outstanding service although quite expensive. Don't thing that the hotel room rate with breakfast is everything. Be prepared to spend some money on activities and meals. The cheapest meal for 2 would not be under usd 200, all the way up to 700 usd and beyond, depending on your what you want. Overall great place. Don't think getting out of the island is quite simple, special transfer arrangements is required for any transfers, and these run from 250 usd round trip. Make sure that this is the place you want to stay. Great amenities and facilities, spa, dining, snorkeling and other activities.

For us, it was the best experience ever.

Restaurant :The price in the 4 restaurant is prohibitive .... the quality is not up to the price charged. Counting $ 150 per person per meal + 25% taxes. For that price you can have a gourmet restaurant in the world !!!!
The eggs have a medicinal taste ???? Bizarre …
A regret also that we not serve us smoked fish, grilled fish etc ... especially on islands ...
The burgers, club sandwich etc ... this is not what is expected …

Having just returned from a five-night stay at the 'Coco Bodu Hithi' island retreat in The Maldives, my thoughts are simple and to the point - this place is exquisite.
My wife and I enjoyed a over-the-top water villa that overlooked an aquatic oasis that never ceased to delight. From the plunge pool to 'direct-access' to the reef, we marveled from one moment to the next as to how lucky we had it.
While two or three quaint beaches beckoned, we were more than thrilled to bask in the uniqueness of our villa and all it had to offer. We seldom felt the need to look beyond the pristine reef in our own backyard in search of new experiences.

Ok but lots of improvement to work on...

Transfer was timely from airport. Staff were at the jetty to welcome all the guest. Unlike other resort we been before, Coco doesn't have a personal butler hence you can look for anyone to assist with your needs. Air condition at residence needs improvement. We gave feedback on 4-5 occasions on the A/C during the first 2 nights,however they couldn't do anything to improve it but they were nice enough to move us to another room with newer A/C. Staff were nice and friendly, breakfast served 95% consistent same food throughout the week. There should be a variety at least to rotate. After day 3, we won't looking forward to breakfast anymore. Dinner options were quite expensive, at least USD100 per pax. Fishes and Corals can be found further away from rooms, meaning we don't have the luxury to walk down from our water villa and snorkel around. Room was pretty old, water pressure was real low! took me 60 mins to full half my bath tub. Overall resort stay was ok, only standout was the kind and friendly staff.

Really excellent house reef snorkeling.

First trip to the Maldives, had a really good time! It was off peak season so the resort wasn't overly crowded. Had some bad weather but didn't ruin the experience as was only for short periods. Stayed in the escape water villas which was very comfortable. We loved having our own infinity pool and easy access to snorkeling off the villa. Loved the morning swims. The staff work really hard at maintaining the resort and are so friendly greeting everyone. Very relaxing holiday of swimming and lazing around and massages, beautiful views of turquoise waters and ocean all around very picture friendly.

It was amazing stay at Coco Bodu Hith, the staffs are friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this beautiful resort to everyone because it's worth every dime spent. The Russian lady staff (I don't remember her name) who took care of my check-in and everything was also helpful in so many ways. They arranged our transfer back to the airport according to our flight time which was for 9:00 pm and they let us stay until 6:30 pm without extra charges, which rarely happens in the industry. The food was great as well. Wish you enjoy your stay as well.

Beyond Expectation! Highly Recommended!

Our 1st Maldivian experience which was way beyond our expectation!

Coco Bodu Hithi is a Maldivian owned resort located 40min by speed boat from Male, which allows night transfer to fit our tight schedule (most other resorts that rely on seaplane transfer can't be reached after dark). We requested a villa w/ high privacy & late check out, both were fulfilled free of charge.

On arrival at the resort we were greeted by our butler Mohan who offered great advice on beverages/activities & personalized care during our entire stay. We were led to our pool villa, i.e. Coco Residence, which is huge to an extend that we did not have enough time to enjoy every part of the villa, in particular the living room, which could get quite warm day time. Although the villa aged a little, nothing major to spoil our experience.

Originally we opted for full-board but changed our mind as the choice of restaurants would be limited. We ended up skipping lunch throughout as the buffet breakfast till 10:30 am was enough to keep us feeling full under the burning sun. We dined at the Aqua & Stars, priced reasonably between USD100-150 pp for 3 courses, which all served delicate dishes with fresh ingredients. We enjoyed BBQ on-the-beach the most, truly Maldivian.

We tried scuba diving for beginners, which offered full 45min underwater experience for a good deal. For better coral and turtles, we also did the 1 hr jetski + snorkeling, which the guide let us ride our own jetski, which was exciting!

The weather was great and the location is super awesome.I liked the idea that the island is not that big so we were able to walk the whole island from one end to the other within 10 min. staff were very friendly and helpful. The only comment was the cooling systems for the villas were not that great (the AC and refrigerator) inside the villa were not great.

The hotel is nice, we'll run but food and drinks are overpriced even for the Maldives. There are no kids activities or facilities, just a communal pool which is not supervised by a lifeguard and has only a few deck chairs available.
The diving center has a great team but needs investment and it's clearly focused on beginners. Staff is helpful and attentive. The speed boat ride from the airport is very unpleasant perhaps due to the sea conditions but both ways was horrible.

Excellent stay overall. Beautiful and calm resort. Lots of privacy. Clear waters and very enjoyable snorkeling. Swam with turtle and sharks.

Night programs are however quite sparse and quality could be improved however we recognized that these are not professional performers. Restaurant service ... they did try their best but a little rough on the edges and not up to fine dining silver service standard.

Recommend aqua restaurant and tsuki restaurant. Would not go to Star restaurant which is supposed to be fine dining but service was poor by front of house. Aqua restaurant service and food was the best.

Tips - ask for sunrise villa. Better snorkeling area and you can't see sunset from the supposed sunset villas anyway.

We arrived at Male Airport around 9.30 pm. The speed boat took about 40-45mins. Need to pay the fare when you check out. We stayed at beach villa. It was really big. The breakfast was good. We also ate at the restaurant. It cost about USD100 per person for entree, main dish and mineral water. The hotel provide free snorkeling gear that was really good. The beach is nice. No need to rent a boat for snorkeling because the corals are close to the beach. Overall the hotel is good and we will come again.

Can improve....

Very nice stay. Fell in paradise.
Small issues to solve:
- They created non sense dress code and gentleman can't have breakfast using sleeveless shirt. That in my opinion is totally unnecessary. At the same time ladies can you very short dress and show almost everything.
- Place that has Coco in the name don't have coconut water in the bar and restaurant (shame)
- Improve water sports with different and moderns equipment's (jet ski, etc).

Great trip!

the hotel was nice but the villa needed some work. There was a bit of a storm and there was water inside the villa. Overall the staff was very friendly and it was worth the money!

poor room condition with safety hazards

horrible stay. booked the \"best room category\" but the room had dangerous safety hazards that caused a major scar. room was super old and in poor condition. never again.

Over Priced for amenties

The rooms were nice clean and tidy and the staff friendly and warming....butvthis is the same for all resorts.

There were limited dinning options outside of when restaurants were open at seven and food really rediculously over priced as was mini bar.

Idea for a two possibly three day honeymoon or like

Perfect experience apart from the food.

Incredible trip, the only negative part of the resort is the food. Really really average all round buffets and restaurants really leave alot to be desired in terms of choice and taste, especially for the crazy price of the meals which on average cost us around $150-170USD per person.

This is the only area this place needs to improve as most 5 star hotels or resorts beat this place on food quality, even in China I've had better buffets and selection which says a lot.

Other than this service was amazing, staff are extremely polite and courteous, the scenery and views are breathtaking and I loved using the gym and Spa with such an amazing view and incredible reefs with beautiful fish everywhere to see.
