Very unhelpful staff and reception. Paid for full breakfast but due to fasting only got RATIONED breakfast in room service due to the restaurant being closed for suhoor. Bad service, no follow up from manager. Our flights are cancelled and we are stuck in DXB. According to DXB government who are providing assistance to travelllers with cancelled flights, the stay is meant to be extended if flights are cancelled. There is no help withis from reception. We've stayed in all the Jumeriah Group hotels in DXB over a period of 20+ years, which is the best group in DXB, due to cancelled flights we were recommended here biut are so disappointed.. Comparatively this TAJ brand has subpar service for a 5 star hotel.

Food isn’t good at all. Service is good. However, they don’t have appealing food. Most of menu is same on the days. Tasteless dishes and not representative of Indian foods. I didn’t find butter chicken in the menu in ten days!!!!!!
We had half board purchased and wasn’t a good decision. Had to pay 30 dirhams to add on coke for dinner. I wouldn’t recommend half board.

I enjoyed the yoga classes and I couldn't go to the sound one but I like the variety of different options, I'll increase the gym facility and adding more sporty activities like red light teraphy and cold plunge since more people is concerned on their well being.

Our stay was amazing at the Taj. My last stay at Dubai was at the Atlantis and this stay was day and night better. The staff was friendly, we were made to feel really welcome and Pragya and her team went above and beyond to make sure all is in place. Food choices and the pool staff were amazing too.

Stay was really good.. Of course it's Taj and we loved it here .. I am giving it 4 star only because of the fact that when I wanted an extension for a day, the charges were exorbitant ($1000 USD+) and I had to go to another hotel which was in the same category (Le Meridien) but was in the range of $380... So that was that.. other than that everything was exceptional.. the private beach is great.. wish they had a marina close by where we could do jet skiing and boating...

This hotel is exceptional! From the moment you walk in until the moment you leave it is a 5 star experience. I absolutely loved staying here. They were so kind and took great care of me. Spa, pool and rooftop restaurant were great! I would definitely stay here again and will never forget this place. Thanks for an amazing experience.

I would rate the hotel 4.5 stars, not quite 5 stars. The rooms advertised are Palm Sea View and Sea View, we selected Sea View. There is no sea view, all rooms look onto the Palm. They moved us to another room which overlooked the pool and the palm after we complained. They have fitted some self closers to the interior room doors but they don't quite fit so instead they chose to cut a section of the door out! Breakfast - no pork option but they serve pork in the restaurant at night. Fruit selection was basic. Outdoor dining area - if you like birds (crows, mynah birds, collared doves - we do) then you're Ok, if not sit indoors as the hotel has no effective deterrents for the bird population and some diners were quite annoyed by the pestering. Location - be prepared for a 30 minute drive just to get off the palm, the traffic around Atlantis is very bad - not the fault of the Taj of course but worth noting if you want to travel into town. The staff are excellent, very friendly and accommodating and the pool and grounds are also first class. We had some amazing food in the Indian restaurant.

We had booked an extra night as our flight into Dubai was arriving at 5am and we wanted to be able to check in when we arrived at the hotel. Prior to arrival members of the team had sent me a few messages regarding check in time - at each occasion the info was supplied. The room was perfect and the view spectacular. Staff are very attentive. The room was clean. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the people in the next room when we were in the bathroom. You can also hear people in the hallway. We had a room on the second floor. The on site restaurants are nice with great quality food - but they are also very expensive.

Room and staff were nice and friendly. At check in they messed up my reservation. When came to find out why my room was not a sea view like I had reserved, they said that the reservation was for a standard room. Even after showing them a print out of the reservation receipt from Expedia, they claimed that is not what Expedia had booked for me. They told me to contact Expedia to get it resolved with them. I had a hard time getting hold of anyone at Expedia, so I took the matter into my own hands. I spoke with a manager at the hotel. I asked him to confirm my reservation number. They had a different number compared to what I had on my reservation record. They finely realized there was a mistake and changed my room. But they did not admit it was their fault and blamed it on us. The following morning I had issues with the breakfast. They said my breakfast was not included and that I would need to pay for it. This happened again the next day too. It was finally resolved but the overall experience from a 5 star hotel to treat their customers this way is not acceptable.

The property itself is beautiful. It is presented well and looked after. The room was comfortable and was big enough for the 4 of us to stay in, and the service from most of the staff was amazing. Requests didnt seem like too much to ask for and most staff were happy to oblige with any request given. The pool is only a few feet deep which is perfect for having a relaxing dip without feeling like you have to do too much to stay afloat and the staff around the pool were fantastic, more than happy to setup a pool bed for you and provide you with a mini esky with bottles of water and ice in it.
However, the review takes a turn when it comes to the cost and quality of the food itself. I would suggest not taking the included breakfast option as we often found the buffet was cold (even for hot food) and we are certain my wife ended up with food poisoning from the buffet, ruining 3 days. Also, I am still waiting on a refund for an overcharge on my credit card for the evening buffet.
I would also suggest staying away from the Roaring Rabbit as the quality of food presented doesnt match the price tag. Raia was probably the only restaurant that was any good for quality food. However, while I do expect paying more in tourist area and Dubai in general, the prices charged for any food in the hotel were bordering on exorbitant. I would suggest organising other places to eat, possibly even at the Nakheel Mall where its reasonably priced, more selection and better quality.

The hotel is very nice. The selection of food available in the buffet and the other restaurants is impressive. The pool is amazing as is the beach area. All the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. The view across The Palm from our balcony was very impressive. My main constructive feedback would be the cost of drinks around the pool which were very expensive for things like a chocolate milkshake or a small beer. With the price of the hotel I expected more reasonable pricing for drinks. There is also no entertainment in the evenings which would have been nice especially for those with young families. While the location on The Palm is very impressive it’s important to know the traffic on The Palm can be very busy and add considerable time to a journey when travelling off The Palm on an excursion or just going into the city.

The hotel does have the wow factor with the interior design and decor throughout. The hotel room was spacious, cleaned everyday and had many bottles of water (that was needed in the Dubai sun).
Breakfast choice was very good. Breakfast drinks orders were very hit and miss. Sometimes we got half an order, sometimes we didn’t get any. Hot drinks are available within the breakfast room, but it would be advisable to either offer an order system or decide not. Many times we had finished our breakfast and were unsure whether we had a coffee coming or not.
The on site restaurant - Roaring Rabbit - was very eye catching. The food was spectacular especially the tikka masala and steak sandwich. Happy hour drinks are good. The rooftop bar was stunning, although keep an eye on your order/bill as if you don’t say single shot they will provide and charge for a double.
Pool and beach area was clean and comfortable. The cool boxes were a nice touch as were the ice lollies. The daiquiri deal was very good value too.

In terms of areas for improvement - suggest the gym is a bit cooler, it was quite hot in there. Massages are prohibitively expensive for the average person and there were no 60 minute options.

Fantastic hotel, great facilities and extremely helpful staff. The location is absolutely beautiful but it is a way off the beaten track. Luckily we had a hire car, I don’t know what a taxi costs but I would imagine a fair bit. You are a good 30 minute drive from downtown, without traffic, and 45 mins to the airport.
