Great staff , very knowledgeable, helpful and kind. Very close to Kennedy park and great location. Nice clean room and they provide free tea/ water in the lobby for guests . Nice inviting and cozy lobby.

Stay somewhere else. This is the worst place we stayed in Peru. Our room was dirty when we arrived like it had never been cleaned. There was dust and dirt everywhere: under the beds, along the baseboards, on the lampshades. The room itself wasn't in good condition. The paint was cracking, and the baseboards were scratched. The beds were hard, and the bedding wasn't very soft. The sink faucet wasn't working right and sprayed water everywhere. The room did have A/C which was nice. Overall, I wouldn't stay here again.

Nice and simple... (but should be cleaner)

I really enjoyed the front desk service. unfortunatelt as far as hygiene the elevator had stains and like dripped fluids in the bottom. the drawers in the room had stains and left over dust and ashes, the remote for the AC doesnt work in the room 504. When adviced about the battery (seemed to me like that was he issue) i was told it couldnt be battery and i could change rooms. Its an OK hotel, rooms have space, service was friendly, its quiet.

Unfortunately I had very unpleasant experience at this hotel. We have arrived late night; the room, which was given to us had a window shut down with a roller share which did not open, so we felt like we stayed at the basement. In the morning I tried to open it again (to have at least a spot of a day light, but found out the window was facing a wall). Then, the AC was making strange noises all night long. Afterward, the shower head in the shower was so rusty that the water was barely coming out. This is not the end ... when I got out of shower and took towel, I noticed some red dry substances on it - was so disgusting. Next morning we went to have a breakfast (around 9-9:30am), but there was barely any food left. The tray with cheese and ham was completely empty; one of the two heated containers was empty as well. Finally, I went to the reception to share the experience, however instead I was questioned why I did not request to change a room (in the middle of the night when we arrived). Also, I was asked to show a proof that the towels were dirty. As the result, on duty manager waived $20 airport transportation fee which we were supposed to pay. Long story short, perhaps my experience was so badly unique and does not mean other guests will face alike; however, I am not coming back to this hotel for sure. I wish this post arrives to the upper management to reflect on certain aspects of hotel operation and customer experience and, finally, overall value being offered.

This hotel was great for a quick stay, however was not super clean to stay for a long time. Bedding was just a sheet, and could see dust bunnies on the floor. The location however is great! The front desk staff was friendly and helpful (and spoke very good English)!

Terrible experience at this hotel. After a very long travel day I arrived at this property only to find out they had cancelled my first night stay yet still charged for for both nights.

The front desk staff was rude. Didn’t even know how to call out to speak to someone. After spending 2 hours on the phone I was transferred to the front desk again and they hung up on me.

Then (it doesn’t say it anywhere) but they charge you a “service fee” of 10% which they asked for a service charge for both nights after cancelling my first. Service charges are tips for good service. Which I definitely did not receive.

The AC was broken in my room. There is only one elevator and it is very slow. Not great WiFi. All around a terrible experience from both the hotel and Expedia.

Close to parks in miraflores

Traffic seems to have increased since my last visit to Lima and is noticeably, hotel seems to have single glazed windows, buildings around may funnel the noise.
Apart from the above, the hotel is near to both 7 June and Park kennedy, which has restaurant surrounding the area.
Staff at reception understand both Spanish and English, and are helpful.

Comfortable hotel in Miraflores

I was happy staying here. It was nicely designed and clean. Staff were mostly very helpful. I chose it for the proximity to the Indian markets across the street and it was also close to the ruins of Huaca Cucllana, definitely wortth visiting. I only stayed one night on arrival and another before departure but it provided what I needed in an area that felt safe and interesting.

Upon arriving I was surprised to know I had to pay an additional 18% tax at check in. The air conditioning in the room hits you right in the face when laying in bed, despite moving it and having to turn it off. There was dust behind the bed which caused allergy. The mini fridge didn’t cool properly. And to make matters worse starting at 7am there was loud noise from drills and construction which is going on right next door to the hotel because they’re expanding. At least have the decency to start construction at 12. Guests are tired and want to sleep past 8 am!

We arrived late on a Saturday night and the hotel arranged to have a driver pick us up at the airport which we appreciated. Check-in was quick and efficient. And we enjoyed our breakfast the next day in a comfortable dining area.

Excellent budget choice in great location

The Mariel is a good, basic hotel. All the staff were pleasant and helpful. Our room could have used an updated paint job, but it was spacious and well lit. NOTE: It's worth paying for the city view room. You get two big windows with an interesting, if not beautiful, view. Otherwise, the rooms have one window looking onto an air shaft that seems to be full of construction debris.

We didn't try the restaurant, except for the included breakfast. The breakfast had a nice selection of foods, both cooked and fresh. The cooked food (eggs, sausage, potatoes) wasn't really hot, but otherwise everything was fine.
The neighborhood is super convenient, with shops and restaurants all around. It's also close to major tourist sites, about a 15 minute walk to Huana Pucllana (wonderful pre-historic pyramid complex) or to Larcomar (seacoast shopping center with lots of eateries).
The traffic in Lima is awful. Be aware that the 11mile ride to the airport will take an hour or more.

Amazing vacation 😊

This hotel is in a great location and had everything I needed, I had a triple room, which I found the beds to be very comfortable, the bathroom was very clean. I felt very safe around the Mariel. The breakfast they served was very good,(6:30-10:30) with many choices of breads, olives, several options for juices and fruit, cereal, eggs ( so yummy) with different sides everyday and their coffee was so TASTY . The ENTIRE staff was curtious, friendly and very welcoming. My favorites were Diana, Jose Antonio, they greeted you every time with a truly welcoming smile. My favorite door man was Javier, a very friendly man. I would definitely stay their again and would definitely recommend it. I'm in my early 60's and travelled with my 2 adult children. My sincere thanks to the staff at the Mariel !! 😊👍 I loved Peru !!!

Good hotel close by to many amenities

The hotel was modern and well-situated to Miraflores (near the Ovalo) and the Metropolitano bus rapid transit. As such, it was easy to access amenities and the tourist locations, and the Metropolitano made getting to the historical centro district quite convenient.

The breakfast offered a good selection of hot and cold foods. The juices were also quite good.

The wifi was generally very good, and offered good speeds. We had no issues accessing the wifi on the 7th floor.

The only downside at this hotel was the fact that it had only one elevator for something like 10 floors. It didn't have a \"Close door\" button so sometimes it would take a long time to get to a floor in the elevator or it would take a long time to wait for the elevator. The elevator itself wasn't very big so I do remember instances where we had to leave a few people behind.

Overall, the stay was pretty good and the staff were friendly and tried to help us out as best they could. I would recommend staying at the Mariel hotel as it is good value for money and it is conveniently located.

1st off They were terrible at explaining why I hadn't paid some taxes Expedia didn't include. They had no idea how to figure out how much I owed and seemed to just make stuff up.

2nd. The Parking lot was blocked at night with no access to it. and they did NOT give a F---- about it. Turns out it was a neighbor friendly to the staff and they could have just asked them, but just decided we should leave the car parked on the street and that they would move it at some point; rather than doing their job and calling their friend to move the car.

3rd. Internet did not work and turns out their password was set wrong. Two people on 3 devices checked multiple times. And the staff, rather than just admitting the password wasn't set properly, kept blaming us for typing it wrong. How convenient that it started working 10 minutes after we called front desk.

4th and last. They key to the room did not work. We had to go up and down the elevator many times to have it reprogramed and still never worked (Till the next shift of reception came) We had to have someone from the lobby come up with us and open the room with a master key.

Yes a bit expensive but the breakfast is good and lots of stuff(eggs veggies ham chess bread fruits fresh juice) the cofee tho is horrible.
Quite place. Can walk to everything in miraflores.
After 3 Weekes of hotels. This hotel is worth a nice hot shower and nice bed. Staff speaks English. Clean place. I strongly recommend

This was my 4th time staying here. It is very convenient to walk around Miraflores. Shopping starts right across the street. The rooms are simple, but very clean. The staff are all very friendly. We checked out at 3:30 am and they still got us coffee and something to eat before we left.
