Great location in Miraflores. Walking distance to several restaurants and pharmacy. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was varied and fresh. The bed was clean and comfortable. The restroom was also clean. It had plenty of storage for clothes. I wish it had drawers though. The shower had a terrible leak but that didn't affect it's use. In fact the shower pressure was fantastic. The room was just pretty stark. No decorations at all. All white walls. The walls were pretty thin. You could hear other rooms above and people walking around. You can't hear noise from the busy streets though. I'd definitely stay here again. Great value.

Breakfast is good: Fried Rice, croissants, cheeses, yogurts, cereal

Housekeeping was slow. Don't expect small requests to be fulfilled. Be sure to have your own power adapter, toiletries, and other necessities. The rooms only provide a towel. No complimentary water. No water kettle, no tea bags, no instant coffee.

Great choice for Miraflores

Hotel is in great condition. Staff were very helpful and gave us an upgrade when they realized that the booked category was not available any more. All amenities of Miraflores within walking distance, and there is an excellent Pizza restaurant just across the street.

The rooms are small, but functional.
Comfortable bed. Neighborhood is safe and clean, but I would try another area for food, avoid Maya, it's a ripoff.

Good hotel close to a lot of activities

We found that the hotel gave us easy access to very good restaurants, shopping and entertainment. The beach was within 1 to 2 miles of the hotel. Would not recommend trying to walk to the ocean. Traffic is nothing but CHAOTIC!!! Suggest you find a taxi driver you trust and work out a financial deal with him, to be your driver whenever you want to go somewhere. It worked out pretty good especially when getting to the airport. Across the street from the hotel is an oriental restaurant with good food. There are other shops in the same shopping center. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful. The hotel has wifi in the lobby and a faster wifi in each room which you pay for in local currency. If you have questions ask the staff, they all speak English.

I have stayed in this hotel twice while traveling to Lima. I go every year for work and some leisure time. The location is near the people I want to see the things I want to do such as visiting Larcomar and the Inca Market. There is a new grocery market across the street that has everything you could want. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The lobby is tastefully decorated. The breakfast is typical for this type of hotel. Not fancy but good quality. The hotel is not quiet. It is on a busy street, especially during morning commute time. Sleeping late would be very difficult here.

For the price there are many WAY better hotels in Miraflores. The room was basic and had to switch due to the bathroom stinking do bad. The basic room was way to basic and had to upgrade to something better. Still the jacuzzi didn't work even though paying for a \"premium\" room. The breakfast was horrible with nothing fresh (i.e. coffee coming out of a machine and powdered eggs). I'll never stay there again.

From the moment I arrived the staff was very friendly. The staff were very attentive from the moment you come in to wen you leave. The room very clean and has internet access. I was able to charge my phone with no problem. I will definitely recommend and was close to all the restaurants and driving distance to night clubs.

Clean room, no windows.

The room was clean, breakfast was great, the staff were helpful and the bed was comfortable, but the only window in my room looked out onto an enclosed hallway, and it looked like this was the case for most of the rooms. Combined with bad lighting, this made the room not very pleasant to spend time in during the day.

This was fine as we only stayed a night, we were able to walk to some nearby nice restaurants, and the morning buget breakfast I thought was great. Tiny little omeletes and pancakes .... juices, yogurt, fruit .....

Helpful staff!

We stayed in this hotel our first night in Peru. The hotel was located in a clean, secure area and was about a 10-15 mins cab ride to central Lima. The staff at the hotel was extremely helpful in calling different places and speaking Spanish for us which saved us a lot of trouble considering the airline lost our bags for 2 days. Our standard room was cozy and comfortable, with hot shower and air conditioning. It was an overall good value for the price we paid, and definitely a safe option for a stay in Lima!

A Loud but great location

I was not facing the street, but during breakfast, I could hear and see all the traffic gridlock. However, as someone who did a lot of walking, I found the location to be PERFECT to resturants, beach, parks and tourist spots. Taxi costs where cheap to other neighborhoods. My one big complaint, is the WIFI was kinda spotty and sometime it was down for hours. However, the hotel staff was beyond friendly and even let me use his phone as a hotspot so I can check in for my departing flight - the staff was beyond friendly. Only exception was a security guard who wanted me to give him some money I found on the street in front of the hotel, which I thought was unprofessional. I would stay here again when I return to Peru.

Casa Andina-agood base in Lima

The rooms were comfortable and spotless. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It is in a central location although there is not a lot going on in the immediate vicinity. Breakfasts (free with room) were excellent. I wish they had a small restaurant or cafe for when you don't want to go out in the evening. The closest restaurant eas a Zorky's three or four blocks up AV 28 de Julio9 (the food was pretty good but it would fit in a US strip Mall). I will probably return to Casa Andina. They have a number of sight through Peru. Muchas Gracias to the staff.

Small rooms , just big enough for double bed .Walking through door onto bed . Window faced onto corridor . No privacy and curtains didnt fit correctly .Antique air conditioner that was noisy beside bed. Run down hotel , was booked for 3 nights to look around Lima. Stayed one night and left at 3am next morning.Wifi worked sometimes in slow mode. Waste of money.

The staff was pleasant, but it was not a very well-run place. My other Peru hotels were all 3 stars, and all were better.
The room was dark, as the only window faced the courtyard and other guests walked right by, so for privacy one had to keep the drapes closed. The hotel offered no complimentary water, and tap water in Lima is not potable. There was a cooler near registration where one could ask for water, which would be charged to your room. When i checked out, I found I was mistakenly charged for a Gatorade and a Cola. The charge was rescinded, but clearly it's a sloppy system. There is a steady free supply of coffee and coca tea, however.
The night I arrived, I sent out some dry cleaning, which was to have been in my room the next day. It wasn't. I asked the front desk before going out for dinner and was assured that it would be in my room when I returned. It wasn't. I asked again and they got it. I had the feeling that the delay had to do with the potential for a tip upon delivery.
This is the only hotel I visited in Peru where the temperature of the shower was inconsistent.
The location of this hotel is roughly a 10-minute walk from the \"happening\" part of Miraflores. One one side is a very pretty neighborhood, on the other a major expressway. You don't get noise from the expressway.
Pluses: The wifi signal was pretty good. The safe was huge, and key-operated. You can comfortably stash a laptop. I'm not sure if all the rooms have this type of safe, though.

I was very disappointed with the lack of help the receptionist provided. I am a women travelling by myself I arrived about 8pm from the airport and when asked about whether I could get some food locally he just told me where the shops were. I asked whether it was safe as it was quite late and the area looked quite deserted, he said it was but then about five minutes after I worked out of the hotel the security guard from next door started calling after me and following me so I ran back in fear. Then when the internet was not working the receptionist just said it was a problem in the area. The porter was the only saving grace of this place he later knocked on my room and informed me that he had fixed the internet. The place also advertises that it has an airport shuttle it doesnt and I had to paqy more for my transport to the airport than I did coming from. When asked why it was more he just said that it was because it was hotel trasport,in my experience airport transport is usually the most expensive in town so it shocked me that the hotel was even pricier, he did not offer any alternative help either. The room only had net curtains which allowed no privacy at all and that was the reason I stayed in a hotel rather than a hostel and I have to say I regret in this case as for the money I paid I could pay at least pay half of this in a hostel and I have had ten times better service ad facilities.

Very nice place to stay in Miraflores

Friends had been telling me for years that I should stay in Miraflores when I was in Lima and at least one had recommended the Casa Andina specifically. The room was well appointed and very clean. There seemed to be plenty of hot water and the bed was quite comfortable. The hotel is also within walking distance of the center of Miraflores (or a very short cab ride) which is very convenient. Pretty typical of many places I have stayed in Peru the staff were friendly but not always around when you wanted them and the price was a little more than I am used to paying, but I spend more time in Arequipa than Lima and that makes a difference.

As we walk through the entrance there was a terrible smell. No one to help you with your bags. The room was ok in size, but dirty. The refrigerator was not working and it never did, even after it was reported to the clerk. There is too much street noise in the room and there is no restaurant service, else than at breakfast. To expensive for the quality of service or the location.

The whole place smelled like wet paint. We were tired so we didn't bother trying to switch rooms and I'm sure it wouldn't have mattered cause you could smell the paint in the hallways too. The windows had to be open or else we'd start gagging and couldn't breath. That meant all the noise from the streets came in along with bugs and the ac was then useless. The staff was nice and there were restaurants in the area but the paint smell was horrible.

Great Hotel just off freeway in Miraflores

Comfortable hotel within walking distance to Larcomar and Parque Kennedy situated 1/2 block from Via Expressa Freeway. Breakfast with eggs, bacon, packages, fruit, yogurt, juices, etc. Quiet neighborhood with hotel security that records license plates of taxis you take. Price is right with hot showers. Staff were helpful and friendly.
