We had a very enjoyable 2 night stay room was clean modern and spacious, the staff were all lovely a special mention to Aziz at reception for sorting out our late checkout and Sara in Bilu Bilu for her great service. The resort is a little run down and they are doing a lot of repairs at the moment, this did not affect our stay.

Unfortunately the day we arrived, we were informed there was going to be a power outage in the afternoon. Had they informed us ahead of time we could’ve made other plans. The powrer wasn’t restored 2 hours past the promised time and we had to request for a change of rooms. 2 days later, there was still no power to one section of the resort. That left the guests with only 1 restaurant for food options.

Overall, the staff tried their best to manage things but I wish things had been different.

This place is beautiful. Not much to do around the area. The local foods are amazing. It is worth the stay for a few days to relax. The staff is super friendly. You can order Grab rides at the hotel. The hotel will tell you that it is too remote to order a Grab ride.

This was supposed to be the best stop of our trip. We were disappointed that the resort was not maintained well. There was lots of black mould, tarps on the front building and restaurant.

It is clearly a resort in decline. Staff were hit and miss. Some were great and other not so much. Food was not great especially at the breakfast buffet and the Malay restaurant. The Chinese restaurant was decent.

All in all a 3 star star resort at best. Area outside of the resort seems to have been abandoned . Lastly, don't expect Maldives type water. It's muddy brown as it is built between two good size rivers.

This place has huge potential but would require an investment in maintainance and customer services training.

We were disappointed that the shuttle does not drop guest to a place where you can get a grab to move around. Grab does nor come there when you call them and this left us desperate. We have to at the end get a private car to drop us where we wanted to go because their shuttle was too expensive.

The hotel is nice for a quiet retreat nothing much to do beyond that, the food is good starting with an extensive breakfast buffet.
It need a lot of maintenance and cleaning of those rooms that were painted as a lot of paint residue and spots were left on the headboard.

The route to reception is very impressive, with waterfalls and fountains, giving a very attractive facade. Lighting at the desk is far too bright, making it difficult to read the forms to sign at check-in. The room was very comfortable and welcoming, well designed and a lovely welcome gift of balloons and fruit to wish me happy birthday. A lovely touch, although it wasn't my birthday.
There are plenty of places to eat, with good choice, but it's forbidden to bring your own food and drink and the mark up on drinks is substantial. I genuinely had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten for an evening meal, and breakfast was very well stocked with various food options. It was almost impossible to find cutlery and glassware, and somewhat disappointing to see flies around the pastries and watching a small child licking things to see if she liked them (then returning them to the counter). While this is a parenting issue, staff were oblivious to it and it rendered much of the food, for me, inedible.
Staff were very polite and courteous, and the fire show was very entertaining.
Had a very relaxing weekend stay, with no major issues.
I'd definitely book to stay again if in the region.

A beautiful resort with lovely rooms but sadly let down by its f&b offering.
First night ordered a starter to share and two mains. One main arrived and was finished before the starter turned up
2nd night the Diwali buffet. A lot of empty food not replenished and filthy tables, third night ordered room service. Waited over an hour and was served cold food. Went back to the restaurant with said cold plates and then waited to be served again. Got our food before any drinks.
Breakfast was a mess every morning with filthy tables and no cutlery.
Pool bar doesn’t have plastic glasses so you can’t actually have a drink by the pool.

Resort is beautiful. However, the buffet restaurant is full with blackfly. It's terrible and unbelievable that they don't have cover for food!!!
Resort activities are mainly for Fri,Sat and Sun. We stay from Tur to Thur abd found it nothing to do in the Resort, only swimming and gym! The tour also request to book one day in advance. It's really a bad experience here.

We booked in 2 of the family villas. Very disappointing to say the least. The villas are old and run down. The rooms were lacked of usual amenities. The safe in both rooms were unfunctional. The towels provided were so old and yucky. The only positive thing was the bicycle provided to guests at no cost, deposit refunded. The bicycle attendance were the only one pleasant. Breakfast has a good spread but lacked of staffs attending and they definitely need some human skills training to work in hospitality. When requested for extra bowls and/or plates, staffs kept referring guests to ask other kitchen staff. Will not be returning to this Avani. We're very disappointing considering the amount of money we spent on these 2 family villas. Not worth it!

Environment is great but the hotel facilities and equipment is bad and old. Staff is well trained even hotel highly occupied. Even through there were no excuses that room is not properly clean and sanitizing during these particular pandemic situations. Cabinet, TV, sofas is full of dust and not clean at all. Stayed for 1 night. Friendly staff. Room is big and cosy with nice sea view where you can just relax at the balcony. They provide a bicycle for u to ride around the property or ride to yr room bcoz some room are quite a distance from the main lobby. They also provide buggy ride as well. Activities and spa are available but we didnt have time to experience it. Fire performance at their private beach.

Here are the upsetting part for a 5-star resort.

1. Our room flooring kinda dusty.
2. Spotted 2 american cockroach at the bathroom and it came out from the cracks between flooring and door casing.
3. There are no teaspoon or stirrer at our room pantry
4. Refrigerator not working.
5. No remote to control AC temperature
6. Not enough parking space within the property. We parked outside near to their guard post. Kinda skeptical about the safety for my car but on positive note. Nothing happen.
7. Our booking inclusive of breakfast and dinner. Some of the buffet dishes served are not warm and taste bland. Not much of beverage options during dinner.
8. Black out for 1 hr. As this is not entirely resort fault but the management must work together and sort things out with the governement agency to prevent black out happen again in the future.

Overall, the amount paid is not worth the 5 star experience

20th anniversary trip!!

it was an amazing stay!! We were on our 20th anniversary trip and decided to stay here for a couple days based off of a recommendation from a friend. The rooms are nice and big and clean. They even wrote happy anniversary on our bed complete with towel swans. We wish there would have been more activities available to do but due to low tide we were unable to enjoy the water. Great breakfast buffet and a nice selection of food from the different restaurants on site.

However:
1-The beach was a real disappointment. Brownish water.
2-The size of the pool was too small to accommodate everybody.
3-Getting back and forth from the rooms to the main lobby was too long via the buggies.
4-On chic k out day, we waited for about 30 minutes for our buggy to arrive and collect our bags.
5-The buffet spread was an average spread. The food quality needs to be better as well.

The entire environment is very quiet and peaceful which is a plus point for people like us, living in the city truly relax.

However the transportation is a minus point.We experienced problem with taxi not going to fetch us from/to due to long travel distance.This is where it need to be improved.

For example, it was raining the first day and we could not do much in the resort.Luckily there is a free shuttle bus to KLCC for shopping otherwise it's really bored stayed in the resort with nothing to do.

The resort should look into provide tourists with some other amenities or activities in the event of rainy weather or if not, make transportation accessibility easier.

There is nothing in the surrounding area. But if you are planning to buy some takeaway food, it is strictly prohibited! Eventually you have to spend double or triple price to eat in their restaurant, though taste not bad but truly not worth that much.
The house are built over the sand instead of the water in most of the time ...even the water sports u can only enjoy it when the tide is in, which only a few hours in day time....
Spa is even more expensive than those in Thailand...quite surprising for that!
The only thing to praise is the excellence service and smile from the golf car driver
