Pleasant front desk folks. Close and easy drive to parking to access the historic areas.

We thought 30 Euros per person to use the pool was excessive so we did not use those facilities.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The location a two minute drive outside the old city center made it easy to sight see, yet remove the navigation and tight streets of the old quarters, so typical in Italy. The city is incredibly beautiful and would recommend both the city and the hotel.

A Gem Good place at a great Price

If there's something wrong don't expect resolution

The hotel is clean and the view spectacular if you’re facing south west. And if you’re lucky enough to get an air-conditioner that’s functional you should be fine... However, if anything should go wrong do not expect good service or that the problem will be solved/ or corrected... and expect them to be polite but extremely frustrating! Keep in mind by 9 am housekeeping starts cleaning and they start to scream to each other across the hall, slamming doors and hitting the walls so it gets very noisy. We complained upon arrival about our nonfunctional A/C and were promised it would be been repaired. When we returned from dinner, we were assured it had been repaired. In middle of night, temperature in room was over 85 degrees F and when we went downstairs and complained that it didn't work, staff member threatened police involvement. Owner totally unresponsive and aloof. Staff stonewalled. Made us repeat problem four times to different staff members and still did not resolve our grievance satisfactorily. Treated us as though we were criminals for waking the midnight desk staff member who lied about having been asleep. All could have been avoided if they had actually fixed the A/C or been honest about not being able to repair the A/C and switched our room before creating a situation where we had to address the problem from 1AM to 3:30 AM, having to fight for an alternative room. Both owners/managers stood by, listening to our repetitions and didn't even acknowledge us. RUDE!!

A decent place to stay for Urbino

We spent two nights here in June 2018 and found it to be a good place to stay for visiting Urbino and the surrounding area, especially if you have a car, as we did.

The location is a few kilometres from Urbino but there's a bus you can take which leaves from just outside the hotel every 20 mins during the day, but just once an hour in the evening. The journey takes around 10 mins and costs €1.60, but you can buy a day ticket giving you unlimited travel for €2.70. You can get these tickets direct from the machine on the bus but need the exact change.

The hotel itself is business-style with pleasantly large rooms, very comfortable beds and is nice and quiet (at least from our 4th floor room). Our view was of the car park, but I believe rooms from the opposite side of the corridor did look out onto the countryside. Generally, the room had probably seen better days as everything was just a little bit worn (e.g. the bedroom units and bathroom tiles) but not to the extent it's likely to really put most people off. Just bear in mind, that despite this claiming to be 4 star, the fit, finish and general ambience is no match for the likes of a Marriott, Hilton or Hyatt etc.

Breakfast was good and plentiful, with traditional Italian pastries, cold meats/cheeses, cereals, toast and scrambled eggs. Coffee from the dispenser was awful, but ask and they will make you a decent one from a proper machine in the kitchen.

All-in-all, a decent place to stay and reasonably priced.

Great hotel a little way out from the town.

We’ve stayed here before after arriving in Ancona and know not to attempt the walk into the old town. There is a bus or try a car park just outside the town walls. It’s worth venturing in - lots of bars and cafes. Hotel is a sanctuary - quiet and with fantastic views north. There is a spa . . . but it costs. If you don’t want breakfast ask for coffee at the bar . . .and croissants! This is a reasonable price. Car parking is plentiful and free.

Very adequate facility

Large room and ample bathroom. Priced reasonable, it is a good 3 star hotel. Ask for a room facing the valley not the rear building, you will appreciate the view. If you have transportation stay here, if you dont then stay in a hotel near the Urbino center. This hotel is in the city but there is no adequate transportation to and from. I do recommend it

I visited for the weekend with my brother.

On a positive note, the beds were very comfortable, the view of the valley from our room was lovely, the staff was friendly, and the spa services and facilities were clean, well maintained, and reasonably priced.

However, there wasn't much near the hotel and although there was a bus stop near by, the bus didn't come very regularly. Barking dogs in the area kept me awake at night. Strangest of all, the maid put my pajamas in the bidet. Gross.

The room was clean but there was a smell in the room which we did not like. Not sure what it was. Very spacious room with a view of the mountains. A bit of a trek to Urbino central but not too bad if you are driving. The two major things we didn't like was: 1) Breakfast was not included, but we were able to find a complete break for 2 in urbino for 5 euros total so not that bad. 2) The air condition did not work properly.

The hotel is in a great location for exploring the beautiful town of Urbino and surrounding area. You will need a car to explore further afield, but there is a regular bus service into the centre of Urbino - €1.25 one way. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are bright and spacious if a little sparse feeling but very clean. Try and get a room with a view as it is spectacular. The spa is lovely. We also had massages which were very relaxing.

Pleasant hotel in lovely setting

Not the easiest to find, but close enough to the walled city of Urbino to allow for easy visits by car or by the bus which stops outside the door. Beautiful landscape views from the windows of rooms. Didn't partake of the various spa offerings, so no comment on them. The Restaurant, which is under separate management, is excellent, and very good value, with friendly staff, good regional cooking, and some local wines like Bianchello de Metauro which we hadn't tried before.

Nice hotel with parking close to Urbino centre

Hotel was difficult to find but once there we had a wonderful view over the spectacular Marche countryside from our comfortable 4th floor room. Excellent breakfast and hotel services but restaurant a little disappointing. We were there at 15 August Ferragosto holiday weekend and usual handy bus service to Urbino's historic centre was cut back, but on foot journey took 25 minutes.

Room with a view

Ask for room 412 to make the most of the outstanding views of the surrounding countryside. Room was spacious and clean but the TV reception was awful and the wifi didn't work on the rooms. Spa was lovely- used it in the morning before we checked out and we had it to ourselves. Food in restaurant was delicious and reasonable. A decent hotel with helpful staff.

Perfect for Urbino visit

Hotel Mamiani is a strange mix. It is obviously modern and in many respects quite upmarket, linen sheets and table covers, but then it misses some of the small details, tea making facilities in the room, wet glasses straight onto wood table top. Staff were friendly and confirmed that the bus stop was just there, but failed to advise us that the bus used a machine for tickets that only took coins and gave no change. It would also have helped if the hotel volunteered timetable and stops information. Going in on our first trip we managed to work it out, getting off at the P d Republica, but coming back first time was not good as we waited at the same place for an hour, before sorting ourselves out. We were not the only ones. Aim for the bus station! Hotel breakfast was fine and we ate on the centre for all other meals. View from room was superb, but we were only in it at night. Hotel happy to look after our luggage for the full day after we checked out and as it is a spa, good space for changing into flight home clothes. Car parking ample. Noise in corridor in the morning, not sure if other guests or cleaners. All in all, an ideal place to stay if you want to be out of the centre, but have easy access. Staff just need to answer the questions you didn't know to ask.

Hotel was excellent overall, nice facilities and very clean with helpful English-speaking staff. About 10 minutes' drive to walled city of Urbino so need a car. I thought the additional amenities offered were over-priced for the cost of the hotel - i.e. use of the spa was 25 Euros for 2 hours, 30 minute massage was 45 Euros. Not sure if this is customary in Europe or not but was an unexpected expense.

Situated about 3km from the town centre. Not really a walkable 3km as on one of the two roads, Strade Provincial 9 on googlemaps, there is no sidewalk for a large part of it whereas Strade Provincial 56 has a sidewalk but its not a pretty walk. Apart from that there’s not a lot to say. It is a standard 3* hotel as found on the outskirts of any town in Western Europe more styled for an upmarket Travelodge one night business stopover than Italian countryside. But it is good value. So, for a comfortable clean room with plenty of free parking ( which you won’t get inside Urbino walls !) and the usual buffet breakfast selection it is a good choice.

The room and building are modern but the cooling system either inadequate or broken. Nice art work on premise but location is almost 2 miles from the Urbino city center. We had a car so manageable, but would not recommend hotel for tourists that arrive by bus. Hotel was a good value for the comfort and features compared to those inside the city wall.

While the hotel is a bit far from anything in Urbino, I can say that their customer service is of a very high standard. I had a number of issues, questions, requests, etc., and not once did I get any attitude from any of their member of staff. The only other thing I should mention is regarding the bus timetable. The hotel has a number of these bus timetables available at the reception, however these are not the most up to date ones. As a result, I spent twenty extra minutes in the rain waiting for a bus.

Beautiful View from our Room

The hotel was a great find in Urbino. Although it is located away from the walled city, it is a quick 5-min drive to the nearest entrance. The hotel is located up on a hill, overlooking a beautiful valley, providing breathtaking views of the surrounding area. The hotel staff were friendly and very accommodating, especially at breakfast. we were made to feel at home. The breakfast bar was good, but the personalized scrambled eggs and bacon were fantastic.

This is a strange hotel. We would not find it easily, we did not found the reception, there is no parking possibility in front of the entrance. One side of hotel is valley view, the others side is looking at the garbage in the street. The garage bins are standing almost in front of the entrance of the restaurant. The service was ok.

Worn hotel but very nice staff

We stayed at the hotel only one night, to spend the night somewhere on our way so overall it was fine however we would not consider it a four star hotel. The overall condition of the hotel is worn, with old & unattractive interior and decorations, with no visible renovation efforts for a long time. The breakfast was ok but served in a dark room located below the ground level. However the staff was very nice, polite & helpful especially in the restaurant - we arrived late and all the tables were pre-booked however they found a table for us, the food arrived quickly and the restaurant staff was lovely. Thank you!

Albergo deludente in rapporto alle recensioni: camera discreta; per la colazione ci è stato richiesto di presentarsi ad un orario prestabilito e di pre compilare il menù (per facilitare il servizio relativamente alle norme CoViD): nonostante questo abbiamo atteso una ventina di minuti prima di poter accedere al tavolo e ulteriore attesa per essere serviti ... i camerieri nonostante avessero il menu hanno omesso di servire parte di quanto richiesto, globalmente non all’altezza di un 4 stelle.

Colazione ottima e gestita secondo le norme anti-Covid, così come l’accesso alla SPA di cui abbiamo potuto usufruire solo della piscina ed idromassaggio, comunque soddisfacente. Buon albergo, ma poco \"calore\" e lontano dal centro storico. Senza l'automobile sarebbe stato impossibile raggiungere il centro di Urbino.
La Spa è disponibile solo con prenotazione da fare in anticipo, quindi i viaggiatori che soggiornano occasionalmente, per pochi giorni, non possono usufruire di questo servizio, anche se ben presente ed evidenziato nella pubblicità dell'hotel.

E' una struttura vecchia, datata, con servizi non adeguati ad un quattro stelle. L'arredo della camera è datato e modesto, il bagno è a sua volta vecchio e trascurato (la porta del bagno era rotta vicino ai cardini). La colazione è di qualità bassa, con poca scelta di cibi e bevande ( succhi dolciastri di qualità scadente, caffè da dimenticare)

Dopo il check-in abbiamo lasciato la camera!

Abbiamo prenotato una camera economy, dopo aver visionato la struttura, le foto e tutti i servizi che essa offriva... Siamo letteralmente SCAPPATI, la camera PUZZAVA di fognatura, proveniente dal bagno, che era sporco e con i servizi pure danneggiati (oltre che assolutamente vecchie). Abbiamo chiesto un upgrade (disposti anche a versare una differenza di prezzo) o di cambiare stanza ma la struttura non aveva camere a disposizione (a loro dire, perché su Booking c'erano camere libere). In virtù della nostra prenotazione non siamo stati rimborsati, ma poco importa a confronto alla delusione di una struttura così pessima. Assolutamente sconsigliata, prezzi alti che non giustificano camere così scadenti.

Ottimo albergo, personale gentile, con camere grandi e pulite e, almeno la mia, con un bellissimo panorama.
E' un po' lontano dal centro di Urbino ma, usufruendo dei mezzi pubblici che si fermano a due passi, possiamo tranquillamente dimenticarci dell'auto.

In fase di prenotazione sul sito Expedia viene attribuita una piscina, al check in ho scoperto che si tratta di una vasca idoroterapica che fa parte della spa e quindi anche a pagamento extra, chiaramente una pubblicità ingannevole che non è una pratica commerciale corretta

Stanza poco confortevole. Tv con doppio telecomanfo con decoder. Condizionatore vecchio. Biancheria bagno odorante di cucina e consumata, stanza pero' pulita.
Colazione non particolarmente ricca di scelte. Ci e' capitata una posata sporca di uovo rappreso.

Bella vista panoramica sulla campagna .Comodissimo autobus per il centro peccato dover pagare il supplemento sull ‘autobus si potrebbe vendere i biglietti a prezzo standard alla reception o il comune potrebbe offrire il servizio gratuito agli ospiti degli hotel visto che viene fatta pagare la tassa di soggiorno ( come fanno in Alto Adige )

Esperienza molto al di sotto delle aspettative

L'hotel è un 4stelle ma i servizi e le finiture sono molto al di sotto da quello che solitamente si trova in alberghi dello stesso livello, soprattutto a livello di bagni e aree comuni. Non abbiamo usufruito della Spa in quanto il soggiorno era di una notte soltanto e non abbiamo avuto il tempo.

Splendida base per la scoperta di Urbino.

Esperienza di una sola notte , ma molto positiva. La struttura è situata alle porte di Urbino; le dolci colline marchigiane offrono uno scenario dolce e rilassante e nell'hotel è presente un centro benessere fornito di piscina interna. Tutto è ben curato e pulito, il personale discreto ed efficiente. Particolarmente apprezzata è stata la camera ampia e luminosa dotata di uno splendido letto matrimoniale \"King size\". La prima colazione a buffet varia e ricca è servita in un ampio salone con bar per la preparazione di caffè e cappuccini espressi. Ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo.

Weekend a Urbino

La struttura è situata in zona tranquilla con ampio parcheggio non custodito.Si raggiunge il centro di Urbino con bus in pochi minuti. Personale della reception cordiale e gentile. Abbiamo prenotato una camera standard per una notte spaziosa , pulita ma non riscaldata. In conclusione buona struttura, da migliorare per meritare quattro stelle.
