Location, location, location! Village Plaza still has the hostel feel it had 20 years ago. The staff are great - and most of the guests.
Some are a pain.
Smoking and drinking IN the pool, loud chatter in the corridors at 2am.
The hotel is not responsible for the behaviour of the guests, but they could send the odd member of staff around to check on areas every now and again.

Mükemmel bir seyahat geçirdim. 3 gece konakladim. Otel çok merkezi. Khason road'a ve birçok restorant kafe bar vs etrafta. Temiz ve kahvaltısı gerçekten iyi. Otelin altındaki restorant gayet iyi kokteyller yapıyor. Masaj isterseniz yine otel otel içerisindeki ne gidebilirsiniz gayet iyiler. Otel sessiz sakin sayılır duvarlar ince bazen yan taraftakileri duyabilirsiniz. Neyse totalde güzel otel tavsiyedir.

The staff was exceptional. The hotel was in a great part of town near the Royal Palace. The little Street and the square that the hotel sat on was removed from the bustle of Bangkok.

The little restaurants nearby were wonderful and the vibe of the young hip crowd was invigorating.

The room was absolutely fine and a lovely pool, however the noise was just too much. Very thin walls internally as well so could hear absolutely everything inside as well as outside. We stayed here in November 2025. The rooms were very basic and clean. There was no street noise, just people in the hall returning for the night, but we always travel with ear plugs so it wasn't an issue for us. We loved the location, were able to walk to many attractions, including the pier and a small park. As a mother / daughter traveling together we felt very safe here and would absolutely stay here again.

This is our Bangkok go to hotel. It has a great breakfast buffet from eggs and meats to soups, salads, and French toast and more. Pools were nice but no cushions for the wood lounge chairs. Great location, close to Koh SAN Road but very quiet. Even a post office a couple blocks away. Nice quiet park by the river to relax and watch the boats go by. Everything you need is close.

I've stayed here many years and I can say the rooms are very clean, give you bathroom shampoo/conditioner, bottles of water, fridge, hair dryer, and then staff will go out of their way to meet and exceed your expectations! Highly recommend getting the free breakfast, it's buffet style with a wonderful selection and sit by their beautiful large goldfish pond! Restaurant is also great and is open air and the food is delicious! Always will be back again and again!

Highly recommend this area of Bangkok. Its near Khaosan Road, everything is in walking distance and walkable streets. If you are familiar with Sukhumvit road, thats basically a high way, and these are actual streets thay you can walk. Property is the best bang for your buck, family friendly, safe, and great location. This is the perfect starting point for your Bangkok trip, whether first time, or a frequent traveler.

Dirty rooms and horrible area. Rooms didn’t look like the pictures - it seems half the hotel has been renovated, but not ours. Air con didn’t work, there was a gecko in the bathroom and the guests made a ridiculous amount of noise. We know that when staying in this area that some noise is to be expected, but guests were running up and down the halls, screaming and slamming doors at 3am. Only redeeming quality about the hotel was that the staff were friendly. Didn’t they the breakfast as the room put us off
