First night we were put in a room where we hear a lot of noise from a night club nearby and had a funny smell. The day after we asked for another room, there was no trouble and they provided us with another room, this room also had a little noise from the cars below but it was better. Breakfast was good and had enough options.

You get what you pay.

Location is a bit sketchy at night. The lounge is the best part of the hotel, which gives you a good impressions and made me book the room actually. The rooms are old and not very clean. You can see stains on the bed sheets and towels. There is no air conditioner, just a fan. Privacy should be taken more seriously here because even though I put the sign on to not clean my room when I left, they entered and cleaned it.

The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. They were very accomadating for us not being Spanish speakers and did their best to help out. The staff helped bring our luggage up and made sure we got into an Uber or taxi safely, even though the area we were staying in was very safe. Would recommend based off the good location(everything was 10min away) and the friendly staff.

This hotel is too old

Very old hotel. Room is small. Close to street, very noisy. No AC/heater working.no far to shopping mall. Close to a construction site. Staff was nice and friendly.

Wi-Fi is not good at all. My friend and I had to use our phones by the door to get good reception. Service is good. Lobby looks nice and clean. Breakfast is okay. However the neighborhood is always busy, loud, and sketchy.

Hotel is in downtown Lima so all plazas, churches, museums as well as ton of food places is in walking distance. It takes approx 30 mins and 30 Peruvian Soles to reach the hotel. The hotel can also arrange transportation for you for the same amount payable directly to driver. You can also use Uber.

Hotel is located right on the main road (busy street), so easier to spot. Clean lobby, English speaking Staff and included breakfast. The building seems to be old and as you enter your room, the old and ageing furniture smell gets in. There is some old and scratched furniture in the room but in manageable condition. We stayed for one night so did not bother much. Rooms are spacious and if you take a high floor, you will get a good view of the city.

Awesome experience

Amazing hotel, just blocks away from a major city center. At first, I had some reservations, but I spoke to the front desk attendant who did a great job of explaining where all of the attractions were and also setting up transportation. I will stay again, if ever in Lima.

A lot of noise at nights. Looks like some parties are around, noisy and annoying. Windows are dangerous, very low, no protection (specially for children, 11th floor). It is only a single fan per room to be used on summer (not enough!!).

No internet, a/c turned off at night, and not real

Arrived and the room was sweltering. Called - no a/c - on extremely busy, noisy street so couldn't leave windows open. Stayed 6 nights and apparently they turn the a/c off at 12 mid and then the room heats up very fast. Never, never got an internet signal. Other than that, the hotel was actually very clean and the rooms were not bad. It is though not in a very good part of town and it wasn't really close to anything.

After booking this hotel i read the comments section and was nervous i had made a bad choice. The place was very clean, everyone friendly, no complaints at all. The area was fine, walked around for 30 minutes during the day by myself. Restaurant on the corner (to the right if you are looking at the hotel) was great as well. Went out at night to catch a Taxi to the airport, didn't think the area was bad at all. Living outside of Washington DC (Maryland) this area was not sketchy at all.

Cetrally located hotel

a hotel tower, as they have been build in the eightys; very centrally located, easy walking distance to Plaza Martin, where you find one of the best Pisco Sour bars of Lima and further on across you have the pedestrian walk to the main square with the cathedral, the Presidental Palace, a.s.o., with excellent shopping facilities and cheap and deacent restaurants.

Great neighborhood, not great hotel

Despite two people at the front desk, it took 15 minutes to get checked in... and that's with my friend there who has Spanish as a first language (I have no doubt it would have been much longer with my limited Spanish since their English was not great). They claimed to have no reservation for me, despite me prepaying on hotels.com, but offered to let me pay for a room. I forwarded them the confirmation email from hotels.com and then they \"found\" my reservation. Even after that, it still took them quite a while to get everything ready. The room was probably 80 degrees F (much hotter and more humid than outside the hotel). Apparently you have to tell them that you want AC in the room and it's not particularly good. There's quite a bit of road noise, even on the 11th floor and the whole hotel feels outdated (the elevator buttons *clunk* when you press them in). Overall, the location is great but the hotel is not and I wouldn't pick this one again.

Rooms are pretty old. There is AC but it's not that strong (and you have to request from the hotel staff that it is turned on.) Not glamorous by any means. Also, a lot street noise, even on the higher floors. Hotel staff wasn't overly versed in English, but they definitely did everything they could to help, very very nice, professional, everything.

The hotel location is close to Plaza San Martin which is good but a significant walk to Plaza Mayor where the Cathedral and other primary sites are located. The restaurant is open for lunch & dinner but the menu is limited, English was definitely at 'second' language and the service was sometimes slow. Aside from the restaurant issues, we thought the hotel was a good value.

Staff were friendly, especially the reception staff. The welcome drink was very welcome. Good early breakfast. Allow 30 minutes for taxi to airport. Hotel a little run down and in a seedy part of town. We were woken in the middle of the night by a couple shouting at each other in the street below. Good value overall.

Good hotel if you are just on the way out of Lima

The hotel is an old building in the downtown area of Lima, which is not as nice and tourist friendly as the Miraflores area of Lima. However, this hotel’s location is very convenient if you are spending the night just to take an early morning bus from any of the many bus companies that have terminals in the downtown area of Lima (That was my main reason to choose this hotel). The facilities are not very new or nice, but the staff is very friendly and helpful. I feel that I got the value for what I paid.

my taxi cab driver that it was a ad location, the valet who took my luggage up told not to out alone, next day the tour guide told me that not only this was in a very ad neighborhood but away from stores or plaza and informed there were better values out there for what I paid. It was very ard to communicate with a single person because no one spoke even a sentence in English.

When my taxi arrived at the hotel late at night, I thought he was kidding... it was located in the bad area in Lima; garbage everywhere, cars honking, people screaming, dogs barking and police siren going all night long. I could not sleep at all. On top of that, I got bedbug bites. To be fair, people working there were friendly and helpful, but it was not worth the money I paid.

Don't stay here.

Don't make the mistake of booking here. I am not sure why it is even allowed to be listed on this site or any others. This is literally the worst, sketchiest hotel that i have ever been to. Room and roof doors open or cracked, it was entirely unsafe. I was scared to leave my room, which had only a flimsy push handle lock, to go back down the old elevator and leave. Can't go out at night, even within the hotel itself. Please for your own safety do not stay here. Seriously I'm not kidding.

No Choice!

On my way to Cusco via Lima I was looking for an overnight hotel in Lima. Taxi ride to/from the airport to hotel is about 25 minutes each way and the fare about the same as the cost of the room. Make sure you ask for a room with A/C and that it be \"turned-on\". The restaurant menu is limited and the service was just plain. Staff is nice and friendly. The place is just ok.

Quite convenient for Plaza San Martin and Plaza de Armas, although you have to walk down a slightly dodgy looking street. Hotel is very clean and well maintained, although quite dated. One complaint - we asked the porter to order us a taxi to the airport, which he did, but he gave the taxi driver a price (so we couldn't haggle) which was well above what we should have paid. It was a registered taxi (which does cost much more), but we paid nearly twice as much as we had paid for the same journey in the opposite direction (with the official airport taxi - also expensive).

Horrible area with 2am hooker fight

Not only were we mislead that the hotel was by the airport but the area itsbself was scary, totally unsafe and filled with drunks and prostitutes. We couldn't sleep due to a huge hooker fight that went down on the streets at 2am. Luckily a John broke it up... Thank god we were 5 stories up or I would have been extremely scared to fall asleep.
Also, the continental breakfast was completely gone by 8, even though I'm not sure we would have eaten it if it was there still.
I do not recommend this hotel in Lima. Blah

Fuimos a este Hotel en Lima, porque veníamos de Cusco y habíamos estado en su Hotel San Agustin Plaza (de la misma cadena) y pensamos que era así de bonito y cómodo. Pero nada que ver, aunque la persona de la recepción fue muy amable siempre, el hotel está en decadencia, entiendo que no pueden cambiar fácilmente la infraestructura pero los muebles de los cuartos están viejos, desgastados y manchados, el baño tiene moho, e cuarto apesta a humedad, y no hay una persona que te ayude con las maletas y cosas así. Los conectores te dan un chispazo al conectar algo.
