Great Location and Friendly Staff

Really friendly welcome on reception and very helpful. Apartment was nothing special but perfectly clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good and the location brilliant, minutes walk to the front in La Ciotat and a short walk to the local Calanques too. Carpark was hard to find and didn’t get any instructions until we asked, but otherwise communication was great. A little overpriced for what we got, although price is probably due to the excellent location.

Pleasant Aparthotel in a central location

The reason for my trip was to attend my niece’s wedding. The location of the hotel was excellent and the facilities, although basic were adequate. The room was clean and comfortable. I didn’t use the kitchen area but it seemed fine if I had needed to cook a meal.
The receptionist was welcoming on arrival and spoke good English. She was helpful in answering some questions I put to her.
My only criticisms where firstly I didn’t know that it was necessary to book car parking well ahead of my arrival. Secondly, I left my phone charger in the room when checking out. I returned some hours later when the room had been cleaned but the charger could not be located. It seems the hotel doesn’t have any lost property and the receptionist wasn’t interested now that I had checked out.

This was a very basic little hotel, but is in a great location near the port. The rooms are very basic indeed & the shower was so strong it nearly took your skin off, but at 38c during our stay, the A/C was a life saver!

Don't know how to say it. Yes, it is here, but It lacks charm. + you have to pay for everything... towels, cleaning, new cheets etc. The fridge was not defrosted... but it was here, a nice balcony, quiet, large room with a kitchen... I am half and half on this one. Would not say not to go but I would try something else next time. Now, if you need a little kitchen as you are going to cook yourself then yes it is a plus and would recommand. (Also wifi is reaaaalllyyyy bad.... and yes when you want to fall asleep at night in front of a movie it matters). (Had to use my data). (Still a professionnal, clean and well managed hotel). 5/10.

Don't be fooled by the pictures shown on the website.. my bathroom was so disgusting that I took a shower on my socks..the hotel closes its front desk at 9pm, something that I wasn't advised and I was so lucky or not that I got there 5 minutes before, otherwise I would've slept on the streets..I asked to change my room and the girl at the front desk said that they were full which I doubted .. I guess since it was 9pm she didn't want to work an extra few minutes to change my room.. and I paid 90 plus euro a night...overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone.

OK, but...

As a customer, I found their concept of pay-per-use inconvenient. I would rather have gladly paid a little more and not have to worry about replacing bed sheet and towels, or cleaning the kitchen/apartment (the package by default does not include many services and one has to order and pay for these services) . During 8 nights of stay, our sheets and towels were only replaced once by the hotel. I had the option to order and pay extra for more frequent replacement of towels and sheets, or to do the laundry myself. In addition, I had to pay 1 Euro per day for ironing and a similar amount for access to Wifi from my room. Also, I would have appreciated 'free' breakfast with just the basics (juice, coffee, bread or cereals) - this would not cost Appart'City more than 5 Euros per customer. At the moment, breakfast is not included in the room fees. So, in short, it's all these little inconveniences that would make me think twice before I recommend anyone to the hotel. Management could easily improve these things.

Mattress was also uncomfortable.

Get what you pay for - Confusing address

Pleasant stay for one night on a budget.

Pro: comfortable room, close to the harbour, great for an evening walk and for ice cream, Sunday markets

Con: The address starting with \"Passage\" is actually not a street, more a passage that you can only walk through. The hotel is paired with Best Western and shares their parking spaces with them as well. So if you consider taking your car, please google the parking for Best Western and try to park close to it (the whole area consists of mostly one way or time restricted streets), check in, get the code and park the car - saves you a lot of time and nerves ;)

Reasonable, clean WITH Parking

This was a nice very modern place, it is up behind the Best Western I think so you have no view at all but it was clean all the rooms are little studio apartments with a tiny kitchenette but all we were interested in was the fridge, it is so nice to have your own cold water and or be able to freeze a bottle to off for the day. They also had their own parking garage and in La Ciotat parking is a premium so this is a HUGH plus in their favor. We did tell them as we left that their were several lights out in the room (I feel I should not have to tell a hotel this, why didn't the cleaning person report this?) Also the sink in the bathroom would not drain so we used the one in the kitchen. I would go back.

very uncomfortable

I have stayed in this apartment hotel before about 3 years ago and found the beds the most uncomfortable I have every slept on, it's like sleeping in a board and the sofa in the same .
Unfortunately I had no alternative but to book on again as the best western was full as was the IBIS what is significantly better in quality and Accomodation .
I had to book the Park inn again and hope the ends has been renewed but unfortunately not.
3 pillows in double room, very poor quality towels .
The bedroom. Floor is tied and my feet were very dirty after walking around the bedroom .

Breakfast disappointing , 16 euros and parking 10 euros , that is if toy can get them to let you in at all when you arrive , no way of contacting reception from the car park .

Staff helpful , but let down by the poor facilities .
To be used as a last resort if you like comfort .
I paid 80 euros per night room only .

Average hotel. Clean but fully booked due to a night market which made town very busy on arrival. We were only given 1 towel. When we asked for more there were none left apparently! The place itself was fine for a single night stay and a semi-close by alternative to staying in Cassis/ which is where we had originally wanted to stay. Good price.

Decent hotel, however room was not cleaned the whole time of our 4 day stay. I understand that its more an \"apartment-hotel\" but someone coming in to at least change towels, replenish toilet roll and shower gel etc would have been nice- we had to buy our own extra toilet roll in the end- as ours wasnt replenished and reception was shut in the day.
Other than that, the room was nice, beds comfy and lovely location.

10 hours before our arrival we got the information that we we can't stay in the hotel because of a water damage in our appartement. No other accomodation was offered so we had to search a place to sleep on our own.
One week later we don't even have the money back we paid for the rooms, although hotels.com uk should be informed about paying back the money,

The room is very basic. The website quoted free wifi but when i got there they said i needed to pay. The room was not cleaned the whole weekend. The website quoted there was a shower but it was just a hand held rose that would not reach over your head.

While initially more spartan than we were expecting, we quickly came to feel at home. And the value was exceptional. Very courteous management, and well-maintained. The shower set up takes a little getting used to, but you'll figure it out. Feels a bit like playing Twister under your own handheld waterfall.

My only criticisms are that you have to borrow the hair dryer before someone else gets it and that the staff were not aware that the road to the hotel car park was blocked one night so we had to drive around for ages and park a long distance from the hotel and drag our luggage to the car the next day!

High price for what you get

Clean room but very small, very standard amenities. For some reason expedia reservation didn't go through and at first instance they said they don't have availability and after another 5 mins during which i asked to make sure my non refundable charge is not taken already they sort of got availability.. Weird in any case. La Ciotat is more crowded that we would expect and prices for hotels and everything are higher than what they offer. I would not really reccommend a staying in la ciotat. I didn't go to cassis, maybe there is better...

Lovely apartment by the harbour

We booked the larger studio apartment to get extra space and it was fairy spacious, with a good size balcony. There was lots of storage space and furnishings and the bed was fairly comfortable. Good sized bathroom with endless hot water. Apart from making coffee for a cold buffet breakfast we did use the kitchen, however there appeared to be adequate utensils. The apartment was very clean and tidy when we moved in. We arrived early and the person on the desk allowed us to check in early, plus we found the staff very helpful during our stay.

We really enjoyed our stay and there was nothing negative worthy of a mention

Overpriced and terribly managed!

A broken futon as a main bed, lack of promised Wi-Fi, missing reservations, and no working personnel on sight past 21:00 (9pm) was not worth the amount paid. This location operates as a part of a chain across Southern France. After the early closing hours, it functions like a self-serve vending machine. With any issues, there is an option to call a \"management\" number posted on the door. Granted the number is for a service clerk at a Cannes hotel. Not quite the same thing! When calling, they don't readily make you aware of their location and are quite rude while you try to explain to them that you need access to the hotel (in La Ciotat) after hours with the code while they insistently tell you that they can't see you at the front door (in Cannes)! One of the main reasons we booked this hotel was for the Wi-Fi access. Of course there were issues with access to which we were told that \"it is not an emergency to contact management\" and we must wait until the morning.

Taking into consideration the smaller rooms in Europe, this was an average hotel. The location is great - near the harbor, next to LOTS of great restaurants; walking distance to some great parks; parking spots are available.
Positive points - it was clean. The breakfast offered was fantastic - extensive selection of dried fruits, cold cuts, home-made and commercial yoghurt, pastries, juice, coffee etc. (but it does cost an extra thirteen euros daily). The hotel staff were fantastically nice and helpful with rooms, calling taxis, advice on where to eat etc.
Negative points, room service is extra (*everything* is extra - parking, breakfast, room service, an extra pilllow/towel/blanket, a stay longer than a month, if you leave the room dirty when you checkout...). Maintenance is not impressive - the bathroom had two lights over the sink which had been burned out for months. The showerhead was caked with minerals. The punchline for this hotel was my co-worker, who did not book through Expedia and paid more for a lower-class room (the top floor are townhouses) ran out of TP and the front desk told him that they could not replace it unless he paid for a room cleaning. So be warned - bring your own TP. ;) - and enjoy your stay at Park&Suites. (BTW, I spent a night at the Best Western next door and it was excellent - everything Park and Suites failed to be. The pool on the roof is paradise.)

We had a lovely stay at the Parks and Suites Elegance in La Ciotat. Morning breakfasts on our covered veranda were perfect. We enjoyed lots of room in our suite, only the mattress could be improved on. The Sunday market in La Ciotat is huge and enjoyable.

Perfect harbour location - Can walk to most places

We found the hotel comfortable, conveniently located, pet friendly and the hotel staff were very very nice, always helpful and smiling! The rooms are a reasonable/good size and having a full bath to soak in was awesome! The little kitchenette and fridge were super handy as well. The hotel entrance is 25 meters from the harbour with all its restaurants and sites just a minutes walk away, perfect!. The harbour and surrounding area has a great old town feel, so it was wonderful to take peaceful walks around the harbour and breath in the fresh sea air in the evenings. We also did lots of hiking in the area and there were several trails within walking distance of the hotel. The cliffs nearby were incredible, I'm from the Bahamas, I have a great appreciation for natural beauty and I can tell you La Ciotat is gorgeous! The history and old shipyard were kinda cool to from a guy perspective..:) It was the perfect base for our romantic/adventure get away. My girlfriend and I loved bringing in the new year there at the Park & Suites Elegance in La Ciotat and we will return..:) Thank you

Good location, just paces from the old port frontage and all its restaurants (though tucked away behind a sea front hotel). Daily room servicing good. Reception very helpful and friendly. Free wifi in room. Rooms fine but a bit tired. Slightly musty smell on first entering. Bed very low and short on pillows. The shower over the high-sided bath was rather awkward and lacks decent pressure. Getting in and out would be treacherous for the infirm. On the whole it is a fairly average three star establishment with good location.

Spacious and comfortable suite arrangement for our final 2 nights in France, before our return from Marseilles. Last stayed in 10/10. We opted for the larger suite this time and appreciated the added room. Nice little balcony; efficient kitchen. Comfortable if slightly firm bed. Very friendly staff. Superb location -- great restaurants and shops a short walk away. The Sunday market almost at our doorstep. And the Calanques a 10 minute walk away. We'll be back.

3 night stay, 1st night ordinary as in wrong room without facilities promised and told definitely NO options to change rooms as hotel full. I then checked online and of course it wasn't! So after a lot of fuss and bother and stress they agreed to move us and after night 1 it was fine, apart from our room not being serviced. The apartments have great facilities and are well appointed and located closed to harbor and restaurants

Air conditioning struggled all night to make any difference to room temperature, bed was a fold out couch, view out of window was of an industrial car park, no tea or coffee in room, and when we went to leave, we asked the receptionist to call a taxi, she pointed to a number on the pamphlet counter and told us to call them ourselves. Ended up walking out to the marina to find one after the number only was for one car which was over 50 miles away. Not a great experience. The only upside was it is very close to the old port and restaurants.

Great Comfort for Great Price

This newly renovated apartment-hotel is conveniently located right on the old harbor. We found the rooms bright, spacious, clean, and comfortable. The kitchenette was well equipped, including a larger sized fridge (instead of the small, rarely cold minibar types we found in many other hotels). Breakfast had a number of offerings, including hot ones, which is rare in France. The staff was very helpful and informative about things to do nearby. There is a daily evening artisan market on the harbor, right outside the hotel, and lots of restaurants within easy walking distance. Beaches and buses to other points along the coast are less than a 5 min. walk along the harbor. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to friends. Enjoy!

Le personnel du hôtel est incroyablement gentil. La chambre est grande et la vu est jolie sur un bout du port et sur de la verdure. On est à 2 minutes à pied à peine du port et de la salle chaudronnerie.
Le matelas est confortable mais le coussin est assez plat et mou.
Bonus pour les toilettes séparés de la salle de bain ! Nous sommes très contentes d’avoir pris cet hôtel !

Läget är fantastiskt och personalen hjälpsam. Renlighet sådär, vårt rum var massvis med porslin smutsigt och det saknades en hel del saker till köket. Såg även en del silverfiskar på boendet.

Men är man inte känslig och kan läsa lite saker själv så funkar boendet. Supersmidigt med bilparkering i garage i direkt anslutning till boendet.

Excellent acceuil, personnel reactif et très aimable. Situation exeptionnelle sur le port. Le seul point négatif est la situation de notre appart, très bruyant, au rdc face au local des employés actifs des 6h du mat, coincé entre une piece dereserve de matériel et l ascenseur. Meme le balcon n est pas reposant, dès l heure du petit déjeuner, les clients en terrasse juste à côté dejeunent bruyamment. Chambre 8 à eviter.

Excellent séjour en famille. Accueil 24/24 avec le sourire et de bons conseils pour profiter de La Ciotat. Hôtel très bien placé à proximité du port qui est un lieu très vivant (bars, pubs et restaurants) mais aussi à seulement 20 minutes à pied des calanques. Bien insonorisé : malgré la fête de la musique sur le port peu de bruit. Appartement avec petit balcon suffisant et fonctionnel.

C’est notre deuxième séjour , la situation est idéale , juste sur le vieux port , le studio bien assez grand pour 4 pour un cours séjour , accueil très sympathique, et très propre .

Le seul bémol la climatisation ne fait pas de froid donc obligé de laisser la fenêtre ouverte et côté passage un peu bruyant la nuit a la sortie des bars

Laverie pas efficace: On nous a annoncé que le lave linge contient déjà du lessive liquide mais après 1h de lavage, on a découvert que nos vêtements sentaient plus mauvais qu'avant le lancement du cycle de lavage. idem pour le sèche linge: cycle de séchage de 60min mais sans résultat.

En général, je recommande cet appart hôtel

Petit week-end en famille appart hôtel avec enfant de 17 ans. Logement très satisfaisant avec chambre mezzanine séparée confort et situation géographique parfaite au pied du vieux port commerces et restaurant. Très bon séjour dans l’ensemble
