Beautiful hotel and grounds. The pool area was our respite for the week! The entire staff was so accommodating, it’s been a long time since we’ve had that kind of personal attention from hotel staff. Would highly recommend!

There are 2 buildings for this hotel. If the room lists garden view it is in a building that is 2.5⭐️ but definitely not 4.5⭐️. The garden building needs renovations. The restaurant was nice and most of the staff in the hotel were nice. Beware that if you play in the casino and exchange dollars for pesos, they will only exchange from pesos to USD the amount that you exchanged to play. The other winnings will be given to you in pesos. The room service dining took 2 hours to be delivered to the room. And upon delivery the fries were cold.

The staff was extremely helpful, definitely were very knowledgeable of the menu and activities around the property, specially the Luna staff including Richard, Rayny, Bryan, Wilmer, Jessica, Jose, Viany, Wagner and Eudy, definitely made my stay 1000% more pleasant that it should’ve been.

The hotel grounds were clean and the staff was courteous. Staff waits in the parking lot with an umbrella on rainy days for guests when they exit their cars. The room fridge had no amenities. I had to call front desk one day to report that the room still had not been cleaned at 5pm.

The service wasn’t the best the employees at the front desk were not friendly at all. The guys taking the bags and outside where great and friendly the restaurant doesn’t have many options. And the cafe says they open at 6 but they are not ready to sell until like 7. They also kept running out of food and drinks. The hotel itself is nice and the pool.

I am so happy I selected this hotel! It was in the perfect area. The room is big and clean. The staff are amazing and helpful. The cafe had the best coffee I've tried. We ate everyday in the restaurant or by the pool. The food and drinks was amazing. The best part was the club and casino was so much fun! I am definitely coming back again.

I’ve been staying in this hotel every time I’ve traveled to the Dominican Republic for the past 20 years and honestly the service has downgraded significantly in the last 3 years. However, the ladies assigned to my floor, Veronica, Iluminada and their supervisor Solenny were able to leave a better taste and encourage me to return and give the hotel another chance.

The hotel was an excellent choice — conveniently located and close to everything we wanted to see and do. The casino, however, didn’t quite live up to the same standard.

The food was generally good, though a bit inconsistent. The chicken wings, especially the “chicken singa,” seemed to change size daily — one day they were juicy and meaty, and the next they were small and dry.

We also had a disappointing experience when trying to get a player’s card at the casino; the manager simply ignored us, which was frustrating.

Despite those minor issues, I still absolutely love the Dominican Republic and this hotel. I’d definitely come back and would recommend it to others.

The hotel is OK, a few things to improve:
1. Bedsheets so all that you can see through them.
2. Pillowcases.
3. Clean carpet.
The building you can tell is not new, but it is OK to stay as long as the place is clean.

Was Ok, the bakery at the hotel served my daughter an old donut with mold on it, (the display donut) we were 3 guest we only had 3 towels for 2 days, even after asking, we had to ask 3 times...the room was ok clean, but there was used toilet paper in the bathroom bin, not sure how clean as in hygiene clean, seemed clean but didn't feel clean, after checking out we reminded them about the hold on the Mastercard, we notice the next day they never put the money back, so now we have to go deal issue with the bank...
So property gorgeous, decent gym for a hotel, it's the service, cleanliness, and lack of attention to details from the staff...or it's just their culture of not caring much (notice that every where I went in the DR, no one helps or cares about tourism!) so can't blame the staff, but Marriott is a hotel with standard and should train staff to be at the same standard as all over the world!

Mi experiencia en este hotel en Santo Domingo no fue la mejor.
Estuve recientemente y, lamentablemente, me fui bastante decepcionada. El servicio de los camareros dejó mucho que desear. Muchos de ellos eran muy serios, sin el mínimo gesto de amabilidad o cortesía al atender. Además, el trato al servir la comida fue poco profesional: simplemente estiran el brazo desde cualquier ángulo y uno mismo tiene que tomar su plato, cuando lo correcto es que se le sirva directamente al comensal. Definitivamente, necesitan capacitación urgente en atención al cliente y protocolo básico de servicio.

En cuanto a la comida, el club sándwich fue el robo del siglo. Lo pedí en tres ocasiones y fue peor cada vez. Un pedacito de pollo seco, sin sabor, media rodaja de tomate y un pedazo diminuto de bacon. Los otros ni siquiera traían bacon. No hay excusa para servir algo tan pobre y cobrarlo como si fuera un plato de calidad.

El “capuccino” que pedí también fue una gran decepción. No sé qué era, pero definitivamente no era un capuccino en sabor, textura ni presentación.

Y por si fuera poco, la zona de la piscina fue muy incómoda. Algunos hombres eran extremadamente indiscretos y mirones, lo que hizo que la experiencia fuera aún más desagradable. El hotel debería prestar atención a este tipo de comportamientos y tomar medidas para garantizar u

The hotel was excellent and the customer service was excellent
The breakfast on the premises had a great selection and the items was freshly done.
The pool is only acceptable by a room key.
The hotel is surrounded by some nice restaurants and the area is surrounded by police and armed guards.
The taxi are always upfront by the resort and would drop you at some locations and also wait for you. One taxi driver drove us to the mall and waited for us too. I would definitely recommend the Renaissance hotel to my friends and family.

I especially enjoyed the service by the pool—everyone was attentive and helpful. Spent some time in the casino and had a lot of fun there too. Ive stayed here a few times. I like the hotel staff. The hotel is honestly just over priced for the value. Rooms are not ocean front and their prices are consistently just too high for what they offer. The hair salon goes out of it's way to over charge tourists. They will tell you one thing before the service and a higher price at the end. It's like they could care less about any level of customer service. Their focus is on getting as much of your money as they can, period. I'd totally suggest avoiding the salon if at all possible. The VIP room for snacks and appetizers is a nice addition (don't remember the cost though). Overall a good option if you don't mind overpaying for an older hotel.

The hotel boasts an excellent location and top-notch facilities. The staff are exceptionally attentive and eager to assist. Our room was spacious and impeccably clean. We dined at the hotel restaurant, where both the service and food were truly outstanding. Although Expedia advertised Slot Play as one of the amenities, unfortunately, it was not recognized by the hotel staff. In addition it was not possible to change it during our reservation through Expedia. Gym facilities were good, but the AC was not working well for a closed space.

The Bonvoy is misleading. There is no family plan—meaning the father pays the bill, but if he is not present at the property, the rest of the family can’t use his Bonvoy privileges. Extra charges then come up, like $35/ each for breakfast buffet and $12/ per day for internet fee. All in all, in this case, this hotel is not worth it.

Self parking was mentioned; however, it was very inconvenient. The bathroom shower and tile floor wasn't clean. Only one bath towel was provided for two guests and they were worn out and rough. The breakfast bufet was very good.
