The hotel is exactly what you get for the price, the staff were lovely and helpful and the place was clean, one small issue was the smell from the drain in bathroom when running the shower.

The pool is small but nice, a small haven after a day out. The gym is also small but you can get in a decent workout when it’s raining.

however I do have a couple of grips! the bed was the most uncomfortable, hard mattress I have slept on. The othe grip was the noise from other guests, the hotel is not sound proof and we could every footstep, door slam and late night loud tuk tuk and wrestling van that went past the hotel! As well as everyone returning from a night out! It definitely made for some untrusted sleeping!

The hotel is situated close to most things and i recommend the food market opposite, great food choice and great prices. The massage place just down the road also highly recommended ( Aroma )

Overall we had a good stay if it wasn’t for the bed or noise I would give five stars.

The staff at this hotel were amazing. I felt safe and welcome there.
Hotel is very central to everything and was easy to get public transport back if needed. The market being a ross the road was an added bonus.
The only pitfall I would say is the side of the hotel with a lift was extremely loud road side. When I asked the staff, I was promptly moved to the other side and assisted with moving my luggage.
All up Mazi is a great little hotel with even greater staff.

Have to climb stairs to get to our hotel room in level 3. Very inconvenient as the staff says the lift is not working. Pool was nice and breakfast was basic with eggs, toast, jam, fruits and couple of Asian dishes. Overall was average hotel. Too many mosquitoes aswell.

Beautiful one day stay at MAZI!!

The hotel staff was kind. Also this hotel was well within budget so I shouldn't complain much. I will say that the Wifi was very spotty. If you're looking for a nice connection, you might be better off staying at a chain Resort or purchasing a sim card. The room itself was modern and adquently equipped. I picked the higher priced room for the sea view. My traveling friends room on a lower floor was twice the size of my upgraded room. The bed was a bit stiff and the condition of the walls, floors and overall hotel seemed lacking. The room service was very limited. When checking out, they attempted to charge me for a missing glass and face towel. The glass was cleared by the room service staff which caused the confusion. The face towel was taken with housekeeping. I was shocked and annoyed that I would have to explain that to them...especially for such low value items. I wish I would have stayed somewhere else. The location was nice...walking distance to great night markets and a short cab tuck tuck ride to the busy nightlife. I would recommend this hotel if you're not fussy about the quality or furnishings of the room. It was affordable and centrally located. If you're looking for comfort...search somewhere else.

Friendly staff. Even though we were given the room with lift excess and have to climb 3storeys up, the room is extremely clean and pleasant. Hotel area is about 5-10mins walks to Patong Main District Area (Jungceylon Mall). There is an awesome food place opposite the hotel called Baoli too!

The hotel is located next to a river that polluted the air with sewer and toilet smell. Had booked a premium room with balcony, the balcony had a view on the dirty river. Had to change room to a basic one smaller with no balcony, because the smell was not bearable inside the room. Also the AC was not functional in the first room. We had a small infant with us, 5 months, I wish they gave us another room to start with. Basically, location is good. Amenities and overall conditions of the hotel not so much.

I don't like the bad smell beside of my room. There have small drain , not only my room that side of all rooms will get that bad smell too. They should do something for that bad smell. We can not sit at the balcony. Another problem is there have a lots of mosqueto too.....

We arrived early for checkin, but were pleasantly surprised, with a shorter wait, than expected, to enter our room.
Initially, our air conditioning was not working, but reception moved us quickly to another room with working air.

This place is incredible. I have no idea what the bad reviews are talking about. I arrived and was met with a beautiful smile and juice hand delivered. The pool is gorgeous. The room was huge and clean with awesome lighting. It’s at the edge of the party streets. I read reviews about a smell. It just smelled like Thailand to me. This is the best bang for your buck.

Air Conditioning Problem

During the first three days of a seven day booking in this hotel I stayed in four separate rooms! The air conditioning in the first and second rooms were both not working. The third room was not the same standard as the room I had paid for so they moved me to a fourth room. It became obvious that there was little or no maintenance carried out on the air conditioning units in this hotel.

Lovely humble hotel!
Service: Hotel staff are beyond lovely. Very selfless, always smiling and very friendly!
Location: A short walk from the OTOP Markets (very popular markets in Patong), and is very close to the Malin Plaza! We found ourselves going to the Malin Plaza almost every nights - its a very lovely and well sized market! Also walking distance to Patong Beach, Bangla Road, and Jungceylon Mall! Location was 10/10 and there were always tuktuks outside the hotel making it easy to find transport for the day. Also a 7/11 and very cheap massage parlour (they had orange uniforms) less than 50 metres away.
Room: Rooms were cosy and had AIR CONDITIONING in every room which I am beyond grateful for! There is also a safe provided, as well as a fridge and TV.
The hotel pool was lovely, and the happy hour was amazing!
Honestly the whole hotel - is amazing! I definitely recommend this place to anyone! I would 10/10 stay here again!
Hotel restaurant: Definitely recommend purchasing breakfast with the rooms! I didn't but once I found out about how good it was, I went every morning for the rest of my stay! Lovely buffet, quick service, great options, VERY CHEAP, and the whole vibe of the hotel was lovely. If you didn't purchase breakfast like I did, its available for purchase on the day you choose to go.

It’s bit far from point of interest

Was promised to provide late check out at 2pm. But forced to exit at 1pm. Which disrupted our plan.

Gave us a room facing the street. How to enjoy the balcony or view? View sucks if facing street, dusty and noisy.

Swimming pool and breakfast is nice.
No rental of motor available which kinda inconvenience as the place is bit far. Bout 10-15 walks from Bangla street.

We had a nice room on the 7th floor. A nice cool Oasis from the heat in Phuket. The staff were really great, friendly, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. Our room was clean and tidy, could not ask for more. We thought the Hotel offered great value for money. We would stay there again anytime

Nice hotel, not far from the fun

I would like to say the design of the hotel and location was great. Very close to the night life and restaurants. The rooms were clean and the breakfast was good.

Cons: the hotel was next to a canal and I’m assuming that’s why there were a MILLION mosquitos in our room and in the restaurant. Bring TONS of bugs spray. The room we were in had a foul smell coming from the drains. Thank goodness my boyfriend brought Tea Tree oil with him so we were able to pour some down the drain and it helped a bit. There are no doors on the shower so water was EVERYWHERE.

The room was great for the price I paid and location. This is at walking distance to Bangla street and Patong beach. There was wifi available as well, and free breakfast. I also had rental car which I parked right at the entrance of hotel, so that worked out fine as well.

The hotel was nice - clean, with an extremely nice pool area. The front desk staff was super helpful and welcomed us with refreshing towels and tea. The only issue with the room was the bed. It was ridiculously hard. After almost 24 hours of traveling, I was able to fall asleep, but probably would have had problems in a normal instance. Also, the wifi was out during my stay.

The hotel is in a good area of you prefer to sleep away from the busiest areas of Patong beach, but everywhere is easily accessible by walking and taxi. There is a great market across the road which is perfect for fruit and cheap dinner. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Facilities were reasonable, gym quite small and not much sun in seating areas around the pool, but overall everything was clean and accessible. Room was nice and cleaned very well.

Not worth it, even if it seems like a good deal

The stay here was mediocre at best. The a/c unit ran lukewarm and the walls seem thin as you can hear the people talk in the next room. Not recommended for families with small children at all. The baby crib that was supplied was extremely dirty and broken.Baby was teething and kept putting his mouth on the edge of it, causing his mouth to smell like rotten fish. Mazi hotel said they would not do to anything to fix the problem so I had to go to purchase soap and thoroughly clean it myself. Would not stay here again, family or not.

Convenient, Modern Hotel at Patong Beach

Loved our stay at Mazi Hotel! The staff was friendly, the hotel was very modern and clean. Definitely get the breakfast package! It was our favorite time of the day. The pool was also very lovely. The gym was small but efficient! The ocean view rooms are a bit smaller than the regular rooms (we booked 2 rooms in the hotel), but it was nice to wake up to the view of the ocean far away! Overall, very happy with our stay!

This was our second time at the Mazi and they never fail to impress. Although the rooms are slightly small. The service from the staff is fantastic. It is quiet, yet close to Patong beach, the Otop complex and plenty of shops. Highly recommended and fantastic value.

Messy hotel next to a water canal

The hotel has a front construction (supposedly newer) and an older and remodeled building in the back. We were given a room in the back. No elevators so we had to lift all our bags to the third floor. We were helped by the staff. The halls were really messy with temporary beds left in the corridors along with a bunch of cleaning supplies and stuff that in general should have not been there like a ladder. tool boxes....

The room looked ok but the balcony was facing the back with a terrible view on a water canal. The location is quite far from everything so we had to pay taxi rides back and forth and in Phuket taxis and tuk-tuk are a real rip off.

Long story short, two hours after the checking, we left this dump and went to another hotel. FYI, the hotel staff didn't even bother to ask us why and I did not complain at all since these people have no hope.

Overrated hotel for the money. Not worth more than half of what they ask for it.

A compact hotel for a comfortable stay

Mazi Design Hotel is conveniently located just 500 meters from Patong beach and diagonally opposite Malin Plaza, which comprises a cluster of eating places and shops, which cater to a tourist's checklist. 7Eleven and FamilyMart are just next to the hotel.
The hotel rooms are very thoughtfully designed, with angled French-type windows, artistically furnished with white lace curtains and dark brown blinds, which can be easily aligned to regulate incoming light. The room interiors are tastefully done, with good architecture for luxury and comfort, and artistic paintings on walls for elegance and ambiance. Room lighting is also good, but a slight disappointment for those who prefer a brightly lit room.
The gymnasium and swimming pool, though compact, provide the perfect setting for relaxation. The staff was very cordial at the reception and the restaurant and did everything to make the stay as comfortable as possible. The hotel is worth the price and provides real value for the time and money invested.

Stayed in the basic accommodation so get what you pay for. Staff were fantastic the whole trip especially at front desk. Pool is lovely for cooling off. Hotel is in good location. Would not recommend the hotel restaurant at all terrible food (save your money for the thousands that surround patong). However that said everything else was good value.

I stayed for 3 nights at 42 GBP a night and this included a 76% discount and thought it was overpriced. Bed was rock hard but this is normal for Thailand but for the price i paid i expected better..the view at the side of hotel overlooking the River was not the best..looking at dump waste..but the staff at the reception were great and friendly.
If you have a room overlooking the pool don't expect a lie in because you will hear people jumping in the pool and chatting.
The shower was good with a drencher shower and the rooms modern.
Its a good 20 mins walk to Bangla Road were all the main bars.

Only downfall is the room had storage but was all open and had no drawers to put clothes, not a problem if u like it to look messy but if your like me it has to be tidy and put away. Also pool doesn't get any sun so can't sunbathe and pool was always freezing. but very close to beach so not a problem.

The worst hotel we stayed.

This is by far the worst hotel my friends and I stayed at throughout our 21 days trip. We stayed at approximately 10 different hotels with various star ranks in different southeast Asia cities throughout this trip. This one is a huge disappointment.

I do not recommend booking this hotel, if you plan on doing so, please read some of the reviews on google before booking this hotel.

Below is a brief list of
- fist thing I saw when I was at the hotel was a mouse running around the swimming pool
- NO ELEVATOR in the back of the building. Advertised on the web that there is elevator and then when they give us a room on the third floor with no elevator access meaning that we have to carry our luggage up 3 floors.
- very bad customer service! I hurt my back a few days before so the day before our departure we informed the receptionist that we will need someone to carry down our luggage, however on the day of the departure, the lady came up and said \"sorry we don't have anyone available to carry luggage, maybe you and I can both carry it downstairs.\" It was nice that she offers, but I just find the service unbelievable, I already informed them a day earlier that we need someone to carry the luggage a day and they still didn't provide the sufficient staffing/help. Of course in the end we pretty much have to drag our luggage down three floors.

It's really terrible experience for me and my girl friend,
1). we arrived to check in around 4 (suppose to be 2pm ) but the front desk staff claimed it's have to wait 15 mins and we are okay for that, but after around 20mins later, I ask the staff again , and she said : \"no, it need more 30 mins ! Because many guests leaving \"
2). No any Soundproofed inside room, you can completely heard the noise of street , voice of the corridor, even though the voice of \"making love\" next door !! And the staff was talk loudly out there when time was around 3-5 am !! How could sleep under such as a market ?!
It's totally a badly experience for two of us! Can't believe it got high rate of this hotel, it's not to deserved !!!!

This hotel itself is beautiful. Was looked after upon check in with a drink and cold towel. Really impressed with the hotel.

Bangla road isn't far. We walked 30 mins there and tuk tuk cost 200 bht each way. Patong itself is a dump and I wouldn't go there again. Don't take photos of the lady boys as they get really aggressive.

great comfort at this hotel.

The hotel staff was incredibly nice, they all spoke English and were very efficient. Mazi Design is a small, clean and new hotel, just 15 minutes away from the main Bangala street and about 7 minutes from the beach. The room was very clean and kept clean by the highest standards. Breakfast was very good but missing a little more options. Overall I highly recommend this hotel.

Clean hotel with a very modern interior.

Room size just nice for 2-3pax. Clean toilet and the interior was nice. Bed was cozy.

Good staff very polite، clean room and very close to beach, but my only problem i had , it was transportation guy, he suposted to drop us off at front of international Airport in phukek, he took us to other depurtuer

Recently prices hotel in Phuket

Hotel was nice and well decorated. The rooms were spacious and confortable. Location was ok but a little far from the main sites in Patong Beach.

Thoroughly enjoy my stay at Mazi. Great location, very friendly and helpful staff. It's a short walk tot he beach, walking street and Jungceleyon mall. Will definitely stay at Mazi again.

My first trip to Phuket and i was greeted by the warmth of the friendly front desk clerk. Her smile made me feel welcomed. The interior lobby was simply fashionable as my niece and I fell in love with the design. I'm so happy to have experienced this hotel and I definetly will return. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Good hotel. Close to everything. \nSuper staff

the hotel is well situated , plenty of restaurants , food market oposite the hotel.
The room are a bit smaller than what i had expected. But everythibg is in good working order.
The staff is nice and helpfull.

The only down side was the breakfast. Good but boring.

Great location in Patong! We found it extremely convenient with a 7-11 next door, restaurants, bars and shops surrounding. It was also a short walk to the beach. Other than a random few hours where the bathroom had a weird smell, I could not fault the hotel. In addition, the staff were friendly and added to a great experience in Phuket.

Nice modern hotel - few problems with rooms

The hotel is modern and nice. The hotel staff was kind and accommodating.

There were a few problems I faced with the A/C. It stopped working many times in my room and leaked in the floor. My shower also did not work well regulating hot and cold temperature.

I changed rooms, unfortunately I experienced similar problems in the second room as well. The A/C leaked, but it still cooled. The shower in this room only had hot water occasionally, so I took cold showers often.

I still enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting affordable and nice accommodation in Patong.

I just hope they fix their A/C and shower issues.

Fantastic boutique hotel

This is a great boutique hotel. Just outside the madness of Patong but close enough to walk. The rooms are big, new and comfy beds. For the price this is a win win.

Disappointed!

Very disappointed as I had $50AU and most of my medications stolen from my room, also all of luggage was gone through. While I was there another couple had their jewellery stolen as well. I informed the staff and they said they would contact me but this never eventuated.
Also the air-conditioning for the room constantly needed re-gassing, 4 times in 7 nights.
Besides this the accommodation was comfortable as long as you didn't open the window, there was a smelly waterway running beside the hotel.
You get what you pay for, $65 a night and that is what I got.
