Room was decent for price however carpet had stains towels had a yellow tint to them as they needed to be replaced. Staff began walking the property at 845 as we walked out he asked if we were checking out already mind you check out isn’t until 11. As we left for a second time he came around again he was going room to room with master key checking if others had already left the property very unprofessional. Front desk staff at check in night before was very nice and welcoming

The worst stay I have ever had. Filthy place with so many pet stains on the carpet and really smelly. There was dirt around the tub and stainedand dingy towels. Stains on the bed linens, too. I don't know why this site rated it at a 7, because I read reviews elsewhere after booking that tell the real story. Yulk!

Hello. Sink had rust stains around the drain. Bathtub drained really slow. Carpet was dated and lots of stains.
Air conditioner worked well. Tv, fridge, and microwave worked well.
15 an hour if you check in early...
No breakfast, no coffee in lobby, vending machine was almost empty.

This is my fourth time staying at the Roadway Inn in San Angelo in the past year and a half. We used to stay at another property (for over 10 years), but decided to give this one a chance. We are thankful we did! This time was our second time also being checked in by James. He has made a huge difference in our experience with this property. He has been courteous, attentive, accommodating, extremely professional, and kind. Smiling throughout our Check In process.

My boyfriend is taller than average (6’9”) and we both not only travel a lot, but have leg and back issues so a room that is quiet, closer to the stairs is always welcomed. James always makes an effort to assist with our physical limitations. Every single time with a smile and passion for providing a Customer Service experience we appreciate and remember. Thank you James!

The rooms are also very well taken care of, very spacious, and clean. The property is mostly quiet and accessible through a nearby exit, somehow central, with restaurants nearby. In short, this property has now become our favorite in San Angelo; due in part to our check in and check out experience to the point we now choose it every single time (over others), when we come visit. Thank you Roadway Inn and James, for genuinely caring about your guests experience.

Room was not the cleanest but not terrible. But the atmosphere on the hotel... very scary. I was yelled at by some random man when pulling in, he parked his csr in front of mine ans started cussing me out etc. Did not feel safe to stay alone at all, very upsetting. I even left early cause i did not feel safe in that room.

Idk what to say..... if it hasn't that i had been driving for 15 hours, i would of gone somewhere else. I didnt even take my shoes off when on the carpet. Stains and dirt and smells. The shower looked like it had black mold in it. The towels...... i would love to show the photos i took. My body even had a rash from the bed. I slept in my clothes.... i wish i had just left, but i was so tired i no longer could drive. I would never ever stay here again.

We used to stay at this hotel quite often when visiting family when we still lived in Texas. But it has gone down so much since then. Our room was filthy, it was clear the carpet hadn't been cleaned in forever, there were stains everywhere, I found trash on the floor behind the door under neath the desk. The refrigerator was dirty. There were two towels and one hand towel and two washcloths for room with two beds that's supposed to sleep up to four people. These people just don't care anymore I do not recommend you take your family here, the two nights that we stayed we all left with a horrible cough from the air conditioner / heater. I wish I could give a better report because I really used to love this hotel, but I can't now. Don't stay here, I know I won't ever again.

The ceiling was peeling horribly and bits of plaster were falling all over the place, the sink had an enormous rust hole in it, and the bathtub was rusty and holey too. The sheets were stained and questionable. I know its just a motel but idk where these 7/8 out of 10 ratings are coming from... my room was like a 4/10 at most 😬

I have used roadway many times and have never had an issue but this last time was awful. It was not a snow free room and it smelled so bad and triggered my allergies. One of the things I was pleased with, and I rate all my status by this, were the towels. This time they were awful! Thin and dingy! Really rethinking not starting there again.

Evening front desk worker was rude and unprofessional. Acted like me arriving was an inconvenience to him. Laundry facilities down despite listing them on Expedia. Black mold in the shower. No attention to cleanliness. Cigarette burns on sheets. No potable water. Gave me a room that was difficult to get to from parking lot despite not being full whatsoever. Not within walking distance to anything. Landscapers right outside of door with blowers and mowers for a solid hour. Key stopped working. I will never stay at this place again and legitimately hope it closes.

Room was dirty! Ring around toilet. Forgot to clean bathroom counter next to sink. Room smelled horrible. They sprayed something to try and get the smoke smell out,...never works! I gave the front desk a whole list of things wrong with room, but don't know if they even acknoledged it because there was noone at the front desk. I waited, and finally just left the key on the counter and left! Bad experience!

Let me start off by saying that the staff here is very nice and friendly. However, now at check in, the management forces the staff to admonish the guest about the installation of new locks, and a ten dollar fee for lost key cards and fees for not returning the key to the front desk at check out instead of leaving it in the room. If keycards are forcing them to threaten penalties I can only imagine what would happen if they got the stains off of the carpet, fixed the torn furniture or addressed the leaky sinks and tubs.. This hotel is in need of basic care and necessary repairs. The condition of this hotel does not give the management the opportunity to be tacking on extra fees.

I have stayed at this motel many times during the past ten years. This time though the room seem to be fine until I needed a plug by the chair and when I went to plug in I saw the chair had not been moved in a long time. Tons of spider webs. They were to change linens and towels on the third day but did not. Instead the curtains were open in my room when I left for the day and with the lights on you could see everything in my room. So someone was in my room but did nothing. It was scary to me. Won't stay there agsin.

The room had carpet that had every imaginable stain on it. Bathroom shower was moldy and rusty. There was a cigarette butt bucket just outside our room...a fresh trash liner was in the trash can 8 feet away; yet the butt can hadn't been emptied in months. It was so disgusting, I ended up dumping it myself. At least take some pride in the property.

The place was dirty and the towel rack was on the floor up against the wall the soap dish for the shower was on the floor by the tub the phone didn't work there were burn marks in the carpet where someone had smoked in a non smoking room and there is no breakfast bar as stated in the app I only gave it a 5 star for staff because of one girl Bre and she was very helpful but the lady who checked me out was rude both times that I had to talk to her and to check out you can't check out on time if no one is in the office

The rooms were dirty damp wet. The floor and shower had green mold . The blankets and sheets blood dirt and a couple of bugs.
The chairs had weird stains on them . The walls were dirty. Honestly it was so bad 👎
I had the Lady the key and don't worry a refund because I know I'm getting one. She it was done though the app. So she couldn't refund me. I left as fast as I could. Horrifying

Room was comfortable, not as clean as it should be. Hairs on the floor in the bathroom was my main issue. Linen are probably clean but are yellow or grey tinted. Bedding is not tight nor ironned, making it look like someone slept in the bed. Facility grounds poorly maintained but acceptable for a one night stay at a very affordable price.

I stayed here less than a year ago and it was pretty decent. But now its like a went to a place that i could rent the room by the hour. Bugs all over the floor of the lobby amd pretty rude front desk help. My room had plastic forks and spoon on the floor as well as shredded cheese and othe food debris. Pillows had various fresh food stains and when i pulled the covers down the sheets look like someone had wiped their butt with sheet. There was also alot of debris between the sheets as well. Was very disappointed and will never stay here again.

I don’t have high standards but the room was less than okay to be polite. The thought of walking on the carpet barefooted made me cringe, there was mold all over/ around the tub, water damage/ peeling paint on the walls, long hairs everywhere and all around unsanitary.

On bright side, the check in was good and quick. There was a vending machine and it was quiet.

I rented some rooms for my daughters graduation. When my family and I walked in, we immediately smelled cigarette smoke when we chose non-smoking rooms. The carpet was dirty and in terrible condition. The tub had a black ring around it and looked like it had not been cleaned. This was not a good experience for us.

Read carefully before you buy

Apparently the good reviews were up to 2024 but didn’t catch that until I already booked. I called ahead to let them know my concerns since I was staying several nights. He reassured me it was a great place to stay. As a single female I didn’t feel safe as the area was sketchy and dark. The motel seemed primarily a construction/oilfield worker hotel, many hanging around outside at night. The bathroom had hair and dried urine on the floor, dried toothpaste and hair in the sink. Rug was stained with multiple cigarette burns. Toilet didn’t work so I had to change rooms. Bought disinfecting wipes and cleaned any surfaces I would be coming in contact with before using the room. Don’t be fooled by the overall review score… pay attention to the current ones. Would not stay there again.

Conveniently located, lots of parking, very friendly desk staff, good rates. Only knock is that there was no housekeeping the whole time I was there (5 nights). Also they advertise coffee in the lobby but it's very -- very -- minimal. I recommend the place if you're looking for a good bargain as long as you're not expecting luxury.

The room was freezing cold and the room heater did not work. They had a small space heater on the dresser, but it never heated up enough to keep us warm until we came in later after dinner and a ball game. We asked for another heater, but they said they were all in use.I might suggest that if you know you have a guest coming, weather is below freezing, and your heater is not working, turn that small heater on as soon as possible to get that room warm. My husband said if the room was not warm when we got back at bedtime, we were driving home that night. Also, the facial tissue holder was empty.

At least the bed was comfortable.

Carpet was stained, fridge was dirty and mat in shower was tore apart but still in the tub. Iffice was bot marked and directions with google maps takes you out to the middle of nowhere. Spoke with staff and she stated they didn't know how to fix that error and when tried to call with location nobody answered the phone. Let the staff know and claimed i didnt but the number i provided was theirs.
