The buffet was amazing with all the variety of dishes. The bungalow was spacious and in a great location however we were awoken numerous times at night by some Bush Stone-curlews screaming! I was not familiar with these birds that sound like a woman screaming until I heard them. Outside our bungalow we had a nice view of some wallabies and birds. I can’t wait to return to Hamilton Island however I would plan to stay in the Reef hotel where hopefully it would be a bit quieter from the screaming birds:)

It was expensive and the communication was terrible. When we checked in no one gave us any information. We weren’t told about breakfast which was paid for. We weren’t told about the activities available to us. When we were leaving for the airport, I asked an hour before where to wait and sat in the heat for one hour then when everyone started boarding they made us get in the back of the line of about 60 people because where I was waiting was the opposite side of where the group lined up. Then the man who told me where to wait rudely said, “ everyone else figured it out!” loudly in front of everyone which embarrassed me. I was the only one who had asked as I was the only one who sat there for an hour in the heat waiting. For what I paid to stay here I expected better service and communication.

This was our second stay at the Palm Bungalows and again we had an excellent time. The bungalows are spacious and comfortable, with a nice private terrace. The bungalows are very close to the beach and all water sports. Only a 10 minute walk from the marina. Some excellent restaurants and bars on site.

Staff were mostly good. The room however wasn't. It was dirty, in need of a deep clean, we found a couple of cockroaches, getting help to fix stuff like making another bed up as requested prior to arrival was more difficult than it needed to be. The foxtel kept on dropping out and needing rebooting. The gym and sauna were full with staff, making use of these facilities challenging. The bathroom Items needed topping up, not something you want to be bothered with when u get in the shower, they should be checked. The front of the bungalow was dirt and turned to mud in the rain. Needs some plants/ garden. People were smoking outside their bungalows which was v unpleasant. Check in was a nitemare, over 30min

The staff were great but the cleanliness inside the bungalows could definitely be improved. I don't have high standards by any means but when on a holiday you should be able to confidently use the supplied plates, cutlery, stove top ect and know they are clean. There were many surfaces that hadn't been wiped down in a very long time including the phone, stove top, fridge and inside drawers which made the bungalows unpleasant for me personally.
Although I wanted the bungalow atmosphere rather than a large hotel I quickly regretted my decision and upgraded to Reef view which was beautiful. The staff were amazing, super helpful and friendly but I absolutely wouldn't stay at Palm bungalows again.

I booked a bungalow thinking it had water views and (almost) direct access to the beach and resort pool but we were up a hill with no water views and a 5 min walk to the beach (in one direction) and a 5 min to the pool (in the other direction). It wasn't a problem, just worth noting that the pictures aren't totally accurate. The hammock on the front porch was fabulous, and it was great that the bungalows are within walking distance to everything. The breakfast buffet was really good and a lovely way to start the day.

The position of Bungalow 23 has no breeze which was difficult in the hot & humid November weather and a mouldy smell upon arrival. No other bungalows were available to move to. No promised bottle of wine ever arrived.
Very different experience to our previous stay 16 months before, which seemed more organised and welcoming.
Although our bed was made everyday, our bed linen wasn’t changed the entire stay, even when requested.
Bed had no mattress protector and pillows had no pillow protectors on, always a worry with a high turnover of guests.
Thankfully, the ensuite looked as if it had been renovated.
As we were visiting for a conference, this was a disappointing experience and we probably won’t be in a hurry to return.

We had a lovely bungalow a short walk to the beach with loads of wallabies outside. The hammock on the deck was great too. The only negatives are the room and bathroom are quite basic and could do with a refurb. They forgot to collect our bags on the check out day but did rectify this quickly.

Hamilton Island was well worth a visit but if we come again a 3 to 4 night stay is plenty. Best thing on the island is Hamilton Golf Course (which is a 10min boat ride away) and would be the primary reason we come back. Part of the pool area and restaurant was being refurbished so all other restaurants and pools were very busy and you needed to pre book all, which we fortunately did. Our biggest criticism would be that the age of the staff is very young and with that comes a lack of service professionalism.

We stayed in one of the Palm Bungalows and loved the size, privacy and it was a highlight to see the wallabies each day walking around. Having coffee with the koalas each morning at the cafe' was a huge bonus as well. This place is very special. It was nice to have access to catamarans, kayaks, and transportation to the town and airport included. We loved having hiking trails and extensive beach access available. My one 'area of development' would be that it would be nice to have deep clean in the bathroom during my stay and removal of plates used from the room vs. leaving them during our stay. Since there are so many included amenities (thank you) please consider having a complimentary coffee stand for a quick coffee to go before the cafe' opens. All in all though would highly recommend. This place is fabulous!

Lovely and spacious hotel room and not too far from central locations (5-10 mins drive via taxi). Very easy check in / check out process.

Unfortunately during our stay the pool and gym were both undergoing planned renovations. The alternative offered was a taxi to and from a nearby hotel instead to use theirs however I feel this defeats the purpose / convenience of having a hotel with these facilities. We booked well in advance and unfortunately had no correspondence to inform us of this (we probably would have cancelled our stay and booked elsewhere with pool etc if so, and felt a bit that we did not get our moneys worth because of this.

We stayed in the bungalows which I think is a better option than the large high-rise hotel. The amenities are wonderful- pools are lovely and you are a 2 minute walk to Cat's Eye Beach. We hiked Passage Peak- the trail entrance a 10 minute walk from the bungalows. We utilized the little kitchen in the bungalow and shopped at the local IGA which is a 10 minute walk away. We dined one night at Coco Chu and it was pricey but delicious, We enjoyed a day on the water sailing and snorkeling with Sail WhitSundays and had a great day. We rented a buggy for one day and I recommend doing that to truly see the island.

We stayed in the bungalows. They were no frills but met our needs. We had a maintenance issue that took a couple of days to resolve but they did fix it. The staff was nice, a little frantic at times but fun. Definitely rent a cart (buggy) and make restaurant reservations in advance or there wont be any when you get there. The Wallaby's grazed just feet from our front porch. Once in a lifetime!!!

A nice place to visit.

Hamilton Island is a beautiful place to visit. The island is small, and the free shuttle around it is useful. It is a pricey destination, but the room is very nice. The room is fully equipped with a kitchen so if you would want to get provisions before arriving to cut down on costs a bit, you certainly could. We had a short stay, so we did not get a chance to visit all the beaches, but did enjoy the ones we did. Loved seeing the wallabies, parrots, bats, and cockatoos that roam freely on the island. The snorkeling off Catseye beach was decent, I’d recommend going far out if you are a confident swimmer. There are also pools, ping pong, bowling , and free use of non motorized equipment at the beach ( only saw kayaks, but they probably had other things, we snorkeled so didn’t use them) All in all very nice for a short stay. For a long stay I would pick Airlie Beach as you have more options on things to do.

Limited tour options (we came for diving and there were no diving excursions for the full 4 days we were there). All tours very expensive and the one boat one we did was average. On the other hand, all staff were friendly and helpful and the room was nice.

This place truly is one out of the movies. Heaven on earth. Bungalows and villas right on the beach. The view over Palm Bay is to die for.
Food was five star although you have to pay for breakfast which was a bit steep.
We don’t usually return to the same place for holidays because we like to experience new places but we will be going back to this one. It is sensational.

First time to Hamilton Island and we were impressed and had a great week rest. We had a Bungalow and it’s a very spacious and has all you need. I little dated but clean and would book again. The resort would be expensive if you ate out 3 meals a day but because there is a very good IGA on island, plan well and enjoy all the facilities without breaking the bank. The weather was outstanding and we will be back.

Beware: Smokers are an issue in these rooms.
You’re so close to your neighbors that if they are smokers you might end up being trapped in your room to avoid their smoke clouds. I will not stay in these rooms again.

The beach was great but the staff really let the place down, it did not feel like a place you could relax and be taken care of. I couldn't pick up internet in the bungalows but would connect immediately outside closed shops by the marina. The bungalow was very run down and stained but the mold at the bottom of the shower and roof could be cleaned. I wouldn't go back or recommend it - go to Daydream Island instead it was much better.

A spacious and clean private villa with a huge bathroom and closet. Could have used another place to sit in the room since the \"couch\" was more like a deep daybed without a mattress. We loved everything and this would have been a 5-star review but we arranged for transport for us and our luggage down to the harbor when checking out and that transport did not come, causing us to have no time to grab breakfast at a cafe before our ferry came.

We had a perfect stay at Palm Bungalows and were pleasantly surprised by the access and amenities that came with staying there. The staff were friendly and helpful, making our trip a very relaxing and enjoyable one.

As others have mentioned, check in was a little slow (not helped by the heat upon arrival from the airport), but otherwise everything else was perfect.

For what you paying for the service is not great. We have waited over 2 hours for our room and once ready we had to wait some more for a staff member to drive us to our Bungalow. At the reception they just provided us with a map, but no explanation on what the resort can/will offer to its patrons. Overall didn’t feel welcome

The bungalow is great for two people. Our bungalow was facing bush so it felt pretty secluded. It would have been ideal if we had a bungalow in front of the lawn. Those ones were positioned much better with a nice open view.
The kitchenette was handy although our ironing board and iron were both broken and only replaced on our second last night. The staff are lovely.

This place is gorgeous! I was so excited when I saw the wild wallabies running around everywhere. Seeing wild lorikeets and bats was almost as exciting. I wish we could have spent more time here. Well, I guess we'll just have to come back.
