The view was wonderful and the staff were helpful and friendly. We didn’t use the kitchen much but it was well stocked with essentials for meals, if you choose to eat in. The apartment was a good size but we found the furnishings to be very uncomfortable. Both hubby and I struggled to sleep well, the bed was far too firm for our liking. The sofa mattresses were no more comfortable. This is a good facility if you like very firm sleeping and for a family environment. The pool and hot tub were lovely but constantly overrun with children jumping from the rocks, which made it impossible to enjoy. I do not recommend this location for a couples holiday… we planned our trip specifically to avoid the school break atmosphere, as we longed for relaxation. This was not the place for that. We spent most of our time on Catseye Beach and down at the marina, as the pool just wasn’t an option. Highly recommend the Beach Club for an exquisite dinner and Manta Ray for fantastic marina lunch.

Great size room. Amazing views and perfect location to access the beach and pools. The Marina just a short walk. Housekeeping was pretty early so we didn't actually get to use them (9am calling time!). We had a noisy neighbour so be prepared to hear through the walls!

The location, overlooking Catseye Beach, was perfect for us. The beach was a short walk away, and there were nearby restaurants, buggy hire and souvenir shop. The room was clean, spacious and well-equipped. The staff were friendly and helpful. Stayed 7 night s there and would happily go back.

Great location; super clean and comfortable. Steps from the beach and hiking trail. Free shuttle aroma the island or a quick 10 minute walk to the marina and shops. Would have preferred a couple more towels and a blanket, as the air conditioning blasts one person in the bed more than the other. Staff is friendly and helpful

Great place to stay for a family and with cooking facilities. Good pool. Only concern was beds were not made on 4th day when sheets were meant to be changed. We did it ourselves by requesting new sheets and making the bed. Great view from upper levels. Would definitely stay here again and pay for higher levels.

Awesome sea facing well appointed apartment. Shuttle took a few minutes to get us to the marina where a well stocked grocery shop,
Restaurants and tours mostly left from. I also recommend renting a buggy for. Part of the time and driving yourself around.

Excellent accommodation in a superb location opposite Catseye beach. The views from our apartment were magnificent. The property’s pool was a bonus. Hamilton Island shuttle bus stops right at the door of the property making it so easy to go down to the supermarket and marina. The only fault was that the wifi dropped in and out for us.

I want to start with how beautiful the island is. Where my expectations weren’t met on this trip is that the hotel (and other resorts as they’re all owned by the same family) are free riding off the islands beauty, and not investing anything into customer service or the hotels.

We’re on a 5 week trip around Australia & these apartments were the most expensive accommodation - again, I expect this because of the island, but also it was advertised as a 4* property & the pictures looked really good.

However:
- the sun loungers are hard plastic chairs, something you’d expect to see in a basic hotel in Benidorm. They were uncomfortable and burnt your skin if you touched them. The hotel only provided 1 beach towel which doesn’t cover the lounger. When we asked for a 2nd towel, they did provide them but only after resistance from the reception desk.
- the hotel is very dated. You can tell the bathroom and kitchen was renovated in ‘recent’ years but the furniture is dated & it needed a very thorough deep clean.
- the room wasn’t clean upon check-in, we had to ask to have the floor mopped as our feet were covered in bits & black with dirt.
- drinks can be bought from reception but no ice or cups are provided. That’s not what you expect from a 4* resort.
- cleaners knock your door at 8am & then it’s hit and miss whether they come back later.

The staff were friendly, the views were amazing and the grounds were immaculate. But overall, the hotel is not worth the price we paid

They pick you up right from the airport and take you to your place. The views from the rooms are absolutely stunning! You can look down and see lots of kangaroos in the yard below. It’s easy to walk everywhere from or there is also shuttles right from the hotel to the town. Highly recommend Hamilton Island and this for your place to stay.

Excellent view, very spacious and comfortable apartment, very effective A/C, fantastic transport with frequent shuttle bus around the island. Very friendly staff. Would have been perfect if there was a washing machine and a dryer. We could live without a dishwasher but wanting to wash and dry our togs and maybe do a bit of laundry before returning home would have been convenient. Loved the dining options around the island but was also happy to buy a few favourite items from IGA and enjoy eating in our apartment with breathtaking views. Magical memories with my mother were made.

Everything was fine accept the floors were very dirty. We had black feet from walking around the apartment. I remember staying there years ago and we had the same problem, the cleaners don’t use clean water each time they get a room ready for a stay, the mop bucket water was black. I cleaned the floor with a packet of baby wipes and they were black by the end of it. Great views though, they take rubbish away everyday. Beds are made/changed on 4th day.

Great option for a group of 4 or more. Great view and convenienly located close to the dock. The room was clean and equiped for cooking. The only thing needs a lot of improvement is internet. The speed is extremely slow, you can barely navigate in your browser basic content, don't even think about streaming something. If you don't mind about internet, the rest is all great.

Whitsunday Apts is a nice alternative to a hotel..

This is our second time staying. We like the convenience of having a kitchen and being right across from the beach. Handy shuttles in to town. Cafe and bar right across the road. We would’ve liked two beach towels for our stay, as you only get one thin one for 4 days, and no extra blankets in the room. It was chilly and reception had already closed. Early check out but change facilities were hot, cramped and humid with no mirrors in the bathroom to freshen up...could be upgraded.

Get ready for WOW when you open the door.

The\"wow\" factor when you open the door tells you that you are in for a great holiday here! Be aware that there is no restaurant, but since we prefer to self cater, that was not a problem for us. Our biggest problem was remembering to keep the doors shut to avoid an invasion of the over friendly cockatoos!

The view was breathtaking! Well equipped apartment. Busses pulled up in front so very easy to get around for free. Pool and hot tub very nice. Loved the wallabees and cockateels. Kitchen needed some oven mitts and a baking sheet but otherwise good! Could not open the window in the bedroom or bathroom so it was stuffy air. There was a fair bit of construction going on at one wnd of the beach and tractors going back and forth all day, could have done without that. Lovely island stay.

We were really disappointed with Whitsunday Apartments. The room we stayed in was not only old and dated, but had mould on the curtains, walls, in the cupboards & around the aircon unit. There were dead bugs on the ceiling of the bathroom and bedroom and the toilet button was corroded and disgusting to flush. It was meant to be a serviced apartment, but they only changed the towels and did nothing else. Pretty disappointing considering I booked a Deluxe room.

The property has everything you need for a comfortable stay on Hamilton Island! The free shuttle stops here every 15min, but its otherwise an easy walk to the marina, activities and restaurants.
Only downside is that with a young toddler in tow, nothing is baby proof - the gas oven and stove top being of particular concern. And it would be lovely to have insect screens on the sliding doors to let the breeze in without the rest of cockatoos getting into the apartment.
Outside of this though, this was our second stay here and we'll happily stay again on our next visit to Hamilton Island.

WAHI is your perfect place to stay on hamilton island. Shuttle to marina side runs every 10 to 15 mins and rooms are spacious and clean. Highly recommend a stay here. Only criticism would be the transfer to the airport picks you up 2.5 hours before flight departure and check in isnt available when you arrive at the airport

The location and the view is amazing! The staff were super friendly and welcoming. The property itself is not new but the bathroom has been well renovated. The kitchen is equipped with basic cooking utensils and pots which are not easiest to use. However there are loads of dining options on the island. Overall I would recommend it!

Extremely Disappointed - Ugly and Dated Place

I was extremely disappointed in this place. The place is not at all cozy or beautiful. It is extremely old, ugly, dated, and merely functional. You don't feel comfortable or like you can relax or are in luxury. On top of that, they make you keep the air conditioning on extremely high due to their mold problems. There is also no restaurant or cafe on property. Nothing about it was relaxing or peaceful. For paying that much money, it was a definite let down. I will not be staying there again.
