The place is great for a few days. The buffet food was surprisingly good, the process to book the specialty restaurants is not great and they only open one or none everyday. The beds aren’t the worst but could use an upgrade, the same with the pillows. The bartenders were nice and made great drinks, the pool activities were fun and the night shows were also good.

The buffet was horrible! Good luck getting a reservation at the restaurants. The hotel is showing its age. Paid for all inclusive but had to leave the hotel for all meals. Get a Airbnb or just go to a different hotel. Don’t waste your money!!
The staff was rude and didn’t care to help. The lady at the reservation deck should look for a new job!!!

Didn’t get towels until we asked for them 3 times, Rooms were dirty mainly the bathrooms , food was not the best but also not the worst.. pool is too small for the sizes of the hotel, bars did not open until after 11am and drinks where not that good.. night shows were good.. interteinment during the days was so so… overl all expensive for what we got..

This hotel needs to be upgraded. You can tell that nothing has been done in a long time. The card to the room wouldn’t work. The shower didn’t have a shower head. I had been at this hotel when it had a different name and that was a 5 star hotel back in the day. The current hotel is like a 3 star. It is deteriorating.

The reservation through Expedia and the hotel did not communicate properly, And I was charged twice. I also tried calling customer support, but their website was down. I'm going to send all the receipts to Expedia customer service so they can verify and get reimburse the double charges. According to the hotel, it was Expedia who sent the incorrect reservation. I paid for an ocean view room and I got the back of the hotel. Can’t connect to WiFi and non staff can help , say connection is bad. I asked for help only front desk can assist and lines are long and only one person is at the desk. Not what I expected for my girdt time using Expedia .

The reason I gave the 3 stars was in the way the staff was unable to solve or escalate our needs. I reserved a room with 2 beds and ocean view, upon my arrival I got a room with a king size bed. Beautiful view, but 1 bed. It took them over an hour to give me a room with 2 beds whenIhad made my reservationfora room with two beds. Once I got the new room we were not pleased with the view. It was a partial view. Once I told them about the view they made us wait until the next day after 3 pm to give us the new room. Another complain is the internet, we couldn't get a good signal and the T.V. never worked. Didn't have service our whole stay. We kept calling the only reply was they're working on it. The keys to the room had to be reactivated every day and sometimes more than once. That was very inconvenient.

I feel like we got scammed because we booked with Expedia and paid in full then when we arrived they told me I had to pay for an additional ticket because they had different information on their end even though I called customer service Expedia could not help me. I ended up paying it because we were exhausted. The check in took over an hr. I was extremely disappointed. Other than that it was perfect for my kids and food is not the greatest.

The location was great - beach front. Our room was great, nice ocean view. Evening entertainment was good. I think the thing we didn't appreciate much was food variety. Being that it is in Manzanillo, we expected more sea food options. Looks like beach didn't admit sellers, so we didn't have fresh fruit, coconuts, etc. That was more fun just down the way. It is okay to stay if you don't care to drive around and see the city. If you like fun mariscos, fruits, etc. no need to stay in 'all-inclusive'.

Bathroom toilet was leaking sewage and the service team didn’t do anything but place a small towel over it even after numerous requests to fix it or move our rooms. Our sheets also had blood stains. We had 2 rooms next to each other with 4 beds total and requested blankets at least 5 different times and they would only give us 2. They refused to give us blankets and offered us sheets. The beds only had sheets on them, no blankets at all hence our request for blankets. 3 hours later at 10pm we finally got the other 2 blankets but only after we asked to speak to a manager. We had to walk down to the lobby 4 times. The first time, I called and was told I’d get a call back regarding the bathroom and nothing. The other times they didn’t answer the phone so we walked down to the lobby 4 times in order to request service to the bathroom and blankets. We had 2 young children and they were cold and needed to go to bed but it took hours to get blankets. We were also down to only one bathroom since the sewage was leaking the entire time. Safe to say we are never returning.

Love that it's beachfront. The pool was very nice and clean. Staff were friendly. Food was not great but good, and fruit was fresh. Entertainment was good the 1st night, though the Karaoke 2nd night not kid friendly, crowded and not enough seating provided, we left after 10min.

I loved our trip here. We really enjoyed the private beach and the pools. One thing i didn't appreciate is that some staff told us we had to pay for wifi and on our last day another staff said oh no its free. So while we enjoyed being unplugged it was hard to keep in touch with family & work. Also i didn't really like the food, i would've enjoyed more variety and FANS, please install fans for the heat and for the flies. The night entertainment was amazing just needed some fans for that heat. Overall we'd go again!

Hote fantastic food needs a lot of work

We spent 2 weeks at Tesoro. The building and rooms are lovely as is the pool and incredible beach. Staff were fantastic. My only complaint was the food. The buffets were ok but strictly Mexican food. The two restaurants of Mexican Food and Italian food rotates nightly. We went to Italian and I have to say any meat was grossly over cooked and the pasta was crunchy. I know they r trying but it was bad. We were maybe one couple of 4 that were from North America. It was all Mexican travellers who are so nice and we enjoyed it.

Horrible checkin, master suite was rundown with stains and tears in the carpet and dirty windows. Food was good. Pool area was dirty, saw human feces on the deck and alerted staff but nobody came to clean for a knots an hour. Same to j f the next day when we saw a child vomit, incredibly dirty. Location is good but they don’t have enough chairs on the beach or pool for all the guests so people are constantly fighting to reserve them and no staff is policing it. It was like the Wild West, never knew if we would have a place to sit down.

The pool area was nice; even on the 9th floor I could often hear a dog barking day and night, check in was at 3pm but didn’t get my room till after 4pm.
The day after I arrived my room hadn’t been cleaned útil I call to complain after 6pm.
Not sure if they have a staff shortage or what the deal was.

Needed Better Food Options

Tesoro is a 3 star hotel. Don't ask for more or less. I was surprised that there was no seafood for food options. I never saw a additional menu of food you can purchase separately that would have been helpful. You get 3 buffets as options, breakfast, lunch and dinner. If you are lucky to reserve a spot at their only restaurant you'll have either Mexican food or Italian. So the food was lacking in my opinion, the drinks were also a bit weak. Only Indio and Tecate were available. Again its all inclusive, but the choices are not there. The place also charges you for WIFI (but the server was down while we stayed).

I would not go back, I'd pay more to have a open food menu and drinks. If you do find yourself there and want seafood go to ALTAMAR, you can taxi or walk up the street. Amazing food and a view of both bays to kill for! Next door is also CASALUNA, very cool bar. Those are the places I was able to salvage this trip.

Es la primera vez que me toca hospedarme en Tesoro Manzanillo y en general creo que es una buena opcion para descansar y relajarse a pie de playa con alguna que otra cosa a mejorar, por el precio creo es muy buena opcion y como principal punto a mejorar creo es el servicio, muy pocas veces en los restaurantes se me acerco algun mesero por si necesitaba algo, llegando al punto de tener que tomar cubiertos de otra mesa, nunca se me acercaron en la piscina, pero bueno al final uno lo puede resolver, lo mejor es la zona acuatica infantil que esta muy bien para los pequeños, la comida es como cualquier otro todo incluido economico, no esperen lo mejor del mundo ni tanta variedad pero es suficiente para tener algunas opciones y comer, las bebidas tambien son de categoria baja pero como mencione esto es esperado por ser un todo incluido economico, el hotel esta limpio y las albercas tambien estaban limpias, me gusto que por una cantidad de aproximadamente un tercio de una hoche de hospedajem, entregas la habitacion y te puedes seguir quedando hasta las 5pm, incluso hay la opcion de tambien quedarse con la habitacion por 500 pesos mas pero no le veo mucho el caso, en general si lo recomiendo como opcion economica de todo incluido en Manzanillo y para pasarla en familia con los niños.

The Property itself was beautiful! We had a WONDERFUL time. The food was lacking if you don't eat seafood (I don't).... breakfast was the same each morning, it would have been nice to have a little variety... The restaurant hours were always strange.... The Bar didn't open till 11 which I thought after visiting other all inclusive hotels was strange.... Overall, we had a great time!
