I had a pleasant stay overall. The oceanfront views were beautiful, and the pools were well-maintained. The room was clean; however, I did encounter a large spider in the bed, which was concerning. Fortunately, I was not bitten. Aside from this incident, the hotel was great.

We paid for an upgraded room and was not given the room we paid for or any money refunded. It was advertised that there was 3 pools and hot tub on site. That was not correct. There was no hot tub. It was advertised that there was airport shuttle included and that also was lies. You have to pay for a taxi. Which is 850 pesos.

Cuando nos dieron la habitacion teniamos una TV que no tenia senal y me dijeron cuando llame a recepcion que estaban arreglando cableado del la compania de cable y estaban arreglando eso,salimos ala playa y por la noche que llegamos ala habitacion volvi a llamar y me dijeron lo mismo que solo internet servia y baje para comentarlerles que en otros cuartos se veia la TV y me dijeron que solo you tube y nexflix agarra y le dije que al menos que vieramos esas programaciones,por lo cual la recepcionista se dio cuenta que la TV que teniamos era muy vieja y ni eso se podia ver por lo cual llamo con alguien para poder agarrar otra television de otra habitacion y llevarla a nuestra habitacion Andrea le doy review por que hizo todo para que estuvieramos bien en nuestra estadia lo que las del turno de la tarde cuando llegamos no hicieron nada.
Y tambien al llegar a mi hermana la hicieron esperar 30min por su habitacion y despues le dicen que tardarian 15 min mas por lo cual mi hermana les dijo mis hijos tienen mucho calor aqui afuera en donde nos tienen en la sala de espera dame alguna que tengas disponible lo cual le dieron una habitacion super chica.
Mala experiencia tuvimos desgraciadamente.

Pool towel service was subpar, paid a deposit for towels for a family friend f 4 only to find out a single towel was available. Towel service was late the following day past noon. Restaurant was ok, not much food variety and the fish was not fresh.

What was unique about the place was the chairs and umbrellas facing the beach.

What I did not like is the advertising on website offering breakfast included and hotel did not honor it. Also having to ask for coffee everyday, otherwise they would not restock with out asking for it. Having to leave a deposit for pool towels. Hot tub not working..

Well the pictures are not true to the rooms. Rooms were clean. Our wifi didn't work and each day had to be reset. Couldn't get Netflix since it was an old tv. The food is below average and certainly not worth the price. The cafe two blocks down, to the left on the same side, is amazing. Real coffee. Think everyone else serves instant and passes it off as brewed. The restaurant 2 blocks to the right and across the street, next to the gym, IS the place to eat for all the afternoon/evening meals.The pool with the bridge was freezing and dirty. Basically a big bird bath. The small pool near the bridge pool was green and freezing. The pool near the beach entrance was clean and perfect temp. The staff was great! Caroline and Mila were great help daily. They speak English well. They helped with events happening around town and gave good advice when we asked about other places to eat. Irasema also did a superb job at trying to resolve our wifi/internet connection. George was among the great staff and figured out our tv was not a smart tv, so you can basically only watch what is listed, in Spanish only. Manzanillo is not a destination for anyone who loves to swim in the ocean. The beaches are so badly littered. there is garbage everywhere. Puffer fish are constantly being washed ashore dead. Thats a red flag for health safety. Lovely Locals here, but not a place I would ever visit again.

While the property has modern, clean design lines this does not make up from deteriorating infrastructure eg toilet in bathroom was unreliable, water pressure very low making the shower ineffective. Internet was very poor except in the restaurant area. When taking first visit to a city internet is needed to study google map, find recommendations for restaurants etc.

Do not stay here! As soon as I walked up to the property I was grossed out. The check in lobby had broken tiles & dirty floors. The pool is gross! The bridge crossing over the pool is poorly maintained & looks like it has not been cleaned in a long time. The room was by far the dirtiest room I have ever stayed at. The ceiling fan had about an inch of dirt, when we turned it on dirt flew all over the room. The bathroom was so poorly cleaned, it was a terrible experience to walk in there. Even the trash can in the bathroom was dirty and gross, I didn’t even want to toss my tissue in there in order not to touch it. The sheets were so slimy & felt unclean. (I actually got a rash on my face from the pillow) Let’s not talk about the noise! The walls are paper thin. You can hear everything, I mean everything your neighbors & walking people are doing. DO NOT STAY HERE!

The hotel was beautifully located next to the beach. My room was huge with an ocean view. My bed was a little hard, but I slept well. It was peaceful and quiet. The staff was very friendly. They were patient with my broken Spanish and spoke English. The restaurant was good. The pool was relaxing. I highly recommend!

The only good thing in this property was my apartment view, everything else I never see in other hotels like:

No elevator, I have to go to my room by stairs, I am 62 years old and overweight, so it was hard for me.

The staff does not speak english, and have poor knowledge of everything I asked them, looked like their first day at the job, some of them had no training whatsoever.

By the way, there was a lot of minors working there cleaning rooms and even serving drinks and beers.

There was construction going on with a lot of noise.

Anyway, I do not recommend this place for anyone much less for elderly people and handcaps.

This is not the first time we stay here. The experience had been great until this last time around.
This time, they didnt respect my reservation, if you reserve a king size bed online you get the smallest room and bed available.
They never cleaned my sons room, he stayed 5 days. I extended the days we stayed they only respected pricing on my sons room not mine I paid about $600. I never received adjustment on my room and was told I would be notified when a king bed would be available. My husband and I slept in a full-size bed. The same thing was about to happen to my son but we pushed for him to be changed. The mattresses are really hard and the pillows are not the best. The concierge that I was working with to figure out how much I owed the night before clearly has no clue or understanding of what she is doing. The GM is the worst, she is inhumane. They are experiencing the worst heatwave, we checked out at 5:30 am it was probably about 90 degrees with 100% humidity outside, when I got to the front desk the doors where open, it was super hot in there and the concierge only had a small fan. I asked why he doest have the AC on and he said, My GM doesnt allow me to turn on the AC during this shift, we can turn it on until 8 a.m. but from 11 pm to 7 am they are not allowed.

The one really good thing about the hotel is the little restaurant downstairs it has no affiliation to the hotel but the food and staff are the best.

You get what you pay for, the bathroom in our room really needed to be updated and deeply cleaned, the room was good, Big downside for us was that the smaller pool was not very clean but it’s the one most people use because it’s a bit less cold, the larger pool which is cleaner was very cold even for us coming from canada, it was a struggle to get in and My toddler just didn’t want to get close to it, it’s the design a it just doesn’t get any sun but it should’ve been heated, this one was of course almost always empty. The service and friendliness at the front desk particularly was great, the Wifi worked, the views and sunsets you get are beautiful here, we went in high season, with a bit upgrading and more cleaning staff this place could be a lot better

The pictures on the website do not reflect the actual status of the property, nor the one of the rooms. The shower in the original room given was poorly designed, so that when used it flooded the room. Not sure who's in charge of the remodeling that was apparently taking place, but the "closet" being inside the bathroom is not nice. Also the "desk" in the room that we were changed to, was extremely small, not even a Laptop could fit in it. The water preassure in the shower, very poor. The beach not clean. The WiFi was not reliable, as it failed at all times.

Overall our stay was nice. The hotel was nice for the price. There was a lot of work going on around the property/jacuzzi, so we were not able to use the jacuzzi. The pool is supposed to close at 8pm, but we found that people were out there MUCH later making all sorts of noise. I only noticed since our room was right at the pool and you could hear everything going on outside the room. Other than that, overall we had a nice time.

Friendly staff but poor quality of property and lack of cleanliness. Left after first night and have not gotten a refund for the 3 remaining nights that I did not use. I had two different reservations and the other did get a refund the same day. The first reservation was prepaid and the second was paid at the property. I am still waiting for my refund for the prepaid reservation even though I was told I was getting my money back soon. I have spoken with Expedia representative a3-4 times about same issue.

I like that it was by the ocean. I didn’t like that it was filthy, dusty, and had webs in the bathroom walls. The air conditioning was not working had to wait for someone to come and fix it. The room was not keep the laminate on the floor was lifting and had gaps they were doing some type of fixing or something at 3am.

After having paid for a suite, I was given a regular room 2 beds, the staff have movilize 3 times. It was only until then that they gave me the closes to a suite but still not the one I booked for( CAREFULL, the pictures for the rooms are not accurate, on regards of type of rooms).

Great hotel! I was really happy with my room and the location. I noticed that most rooms had a slightly different set up. I had the nicest room that the hotel offered as did my parents but the décor was different in both and had a different flow.
If you want a really nice room for a honeymoon or anniversary request room 815. Room 810 is also the same but has a large wall as soon as you walk in which I feel makes the room look smaller but its extra closet space if you need that.
There is a gym on site but it is NOT worth going to as it is underground, stuffy, smells and lacks good equipment.
3 pools on site;1 large main pool, other two are meant for kids as they are shallow.
1 restaurant on site, decent food with a great view of the ocean
NO ELEVATORS; lots of stairs

For this property you better speak Spanish. The hotel location is right next to the beach, so the wave sound at night might keep you up. The restaurant food is not really good, there is no Air Condition, so is uncomfortable if you are not accustom the hot weather. The employees are great, they do the best with what they have.

It was an ocean front property. You could hear the ocean waves. The restaurant on the property serve delicious, authentic Mexican food at a reasonable price. The room we checked in appears to be newly renovated. The only thing lacking was the gym. It needed additional free weights & some of the equipment wasn’t working. If new gym equipment is added, this would be a 5 star resort.

The staff were helpful and friendly but lack a bit of knowledge. We needed a meeting room for a couple of hours, on short notice, and got the business center for free, but we could not get a quote for a larger room that would be more appropriate.
Had been here a couple of years ago and I can tell that it is crumbling.
Access is somehow difficult and not handicapped friendly to say the list.
Great area of town, quiet, but with few food options.
Great beach area, but thia was a business trip.

Great location, right in the beach. For the most part it was very quiet. You can hear the ocean waves all day and night, very calming. Check in was a breeze, even for a late night arrival. Wouldn't recommend if you need wheelchair access as it would be difficult. My room with on the 4th floor and it was lots of stairs. I would definitely stay here again.

There are no rooms that someone in a wheel chair can independently reach. The one ramp are there is so steep wheelchair users cannot maneuver it alone (This is a common problem in Mexico.). The bathroom was tiny making it impossible to enter the shower if you cannot walk. The pool was dirty and closed at 7pm. Doors stuck closed, lock failed to work multiple times. Whole TINY parking lot was paved in rocks making it impossible to push a wheelchair. Multiple cockroaches and there is a sign in the bathroom that the water is not safe for drinking so we washed our teeth with bottled water. Only good thing is it is right on the water.

I have now stayed here four times, each time in a different room style and in all three towers. I have enjoyed them all. This time I was in the first-built “traditional” tower, and I was pleased to find that the room had been totally renovated. It was very nice. Clean, quiet, well air conditioned and fresh attractive materials and surfaces choices. Well done, Nest Western!

Disappointing and dangerous

These are some the very unpleasant and dangerous aspects of our stay at the Best Western Plus Luna Del Mar. First of all it should be somehow listed that the hotel does not have an elevator. It was 96 degrees and above all 3 days of our stay. Upon check in we had to carry our heavy bags up three flights of stairs. It was not a pleasant way to begin our stay. We had 2 rooms. In One of the rooms the AC did not cool. For 4 people in our room we only had 2 towels. We had to ask for more. When we asked for towels for the pool we were told it was 30 minutes before the towel service closes for the day so we couldn’t get any, but the pool was open for another 3 hours. We were told that the rubber bracelet system was used so that only hotel guests could use the beach and pools, we saw several people using the pools that did not have bracelets. We chose to stay here for private pools. The morning we checked out at 8:00 AM it was dark. We could not see anything and none of the hallways or stairwells were light. There were no lights at all. My husband had to take all of our heavy bags to the cars in the dark up and down stairs. It was very dangerous. If he didn’t know there was a pool just past one of the stairwells he could have fallen in. This was not a good stay and will not be a good memory for our family.

Pleasant stay in Manzanillo

It was my second visit and another wonderful experience with the hotel. After complaining about the room being on the third floor without an elevator, the manager immediately moved us to the ocean front room on the second floor.. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the breakfast was good and the beach was great. We absolutely loved it.
