I am writing to formally complain about the completely unacceptable experience I had at your hotel on Valentine’s Day.

Upon arrival, I was issued a room key only to discover the room had not been cleaned. I was told by the front desk to return in 20 minutes. When I returned, the room was still not clean. I was then assigned another room, where I found a brown stain on the sheets — something that should never happen in a hotel room under any circumstances.

At 5:00 PM, staff were still cleaning rooms and multiple rooms were not ready for arriving guests. The ice machine was also not working. After leaving briefly to pick up dinner, we returned to our room only to find the door blinking red and refusing to open. We went back to the front desk and were issued a new key, which also failed to work. A staff member then came upstairs with a master key, and that did not work either.

It is now 7:44 PM and we are still sitting in the lobby waiting for someone to get us into our room. This is on Valentine’s Day, which we planned in advance and paid for, yet we are unable to even access our room.

To make matters worse, we overheard staff stating the hotel was overbooked by five reservations, leaving other guests with nowhere to stay. This shows a serious lack of management, planning, and basic operational control.

We have stayed at Allentown Park Hotel on several occasions now. The hotel is clean, smells nice and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. In particular, Lisa and Linda at the front desk were outstanding with their customer service. They were always helpful and responsive to our requests. We highly recommend this reasonably priced hotel.

The breakfast experience was extremely disappointing. The food quality was ridiculous, and no one in the breakfast area was willing to communicate. Even after asking several times about the ingredients in the hot section, the staff member chose not to respond.
The hotel was also full of homeless individuals, which made the environment uncomfortable. The front desk was frequently unattended.

Additionally, the pool was supposed to close at 10 PM, but when I checked at 9 PM it was already closed. I called the front desk and was told to come back the next day. When I said I would check out, they told me they would call back in 15 minutes — but no one ever did.
Overall, the service was awful and very unprofessional.

I don’t recommend this place is dirty everywhere, towels in the aisle the whole day, breakfast horrible they’ve only bagel and coffee until 9 o’clock the whole building was very cold even the pool area the pool water super cold, the walls are broken in the reception there was a bucket to catch the water that was dripping from the ceiling. seem like in this place They provide shelter to the homeless. We’re very disappointed we want to enjoy the pool and that never happened

The water didn’t get hot, as I begin pulling the covers back the sheets weren’t changed I have pictures of the hair everywhere in the bed, the bathroom had mess on the bottom of the toilet which I have a pic. It was suppose to be a smoke free facility but all u can smell is weed and ashes. There was a couple constantly arguring the first two nights.

I gotta be honest, it wasn't horrible for what we paid, but I don't think we will stay here ever again. Because when we got there, the sheets looked like someone was sleeping there and just got up because we got there. The sheets were kind of dirty, and the towels looked like they hadn't been changed in years. They were supposed to be white, and they look beige.

I booked 3 separated room. I got there at 11pm after a long drive I just wanted to sleep, By my luck I got the worst rooms, my first room was 306, which the bed wasn’t made, it was dirty and just wet towels around. I had to the reception and get another room. I got an another room 312, which looked neat but used face clothes were left on the shower curtain. I’m still grossed out and keep having flashbacks. I would say the staff were great.

One negative it seems many smokers stay in this hotel as there were a lot of cigarette butts around the outside of the building.

The front desk assistant had to come up to open our door anytime we had to re-enter the room, because the card for the room did not work. He was kind to try multiple cards and none of them worked. Parking was great. Room was clean, office chair looked like it had been through a shredder. Not a great area for walking my dogs, (lots of broken glass) and there wasn't a garbage can outside to put used poop bags in. Staff was nice. There was a breakfast included. It was dull. Juice machine was broken, so they had juice in pitchers, in the yogurt fridge, but the juice was warm.

The hotel was in poor conditions, it really needs a deep cleaning, the gym machines are old and broken.
The \" free breakfast\" is just not whats expected.
they only offer coffee who sits there all day, old bagels and an old machine with waffle preparation to make you own waffles but without any toppings. No eggs, juice. Therefore, if you brings kids, make sure you get food from outside. They dont offer water in the rooms and the towels are old and dirty. Bring your own towels..

I was disappointed in the hotel and the location of the room. It was near the lobby and I heard dogs barking, kids running and loud conversations. The hotel was not full so there was no reason to put me in that room. The quality of the hotel was not worth the loss of a good nights sleep. The breakfast was as expected. I never got to the waffle maker, there were a couple of families making waffles to go, 3 and 4 at a time.

I liked the fact that our room had a nice Keurig coffeemaker (we brought our own coffee), a decent refrigerator and microwave, and a nice tv.

The front desk manager (aka Linda, who never sleeps) was a sweetheart and couldn't have been more accommodating.

I was very surprised that towels were not changed regularly (without asking) and that trash was only picked up if we left the wastebaskets outside the room. Hmm.

Our bathroom *really* needed a toilet paper roll holder.

The *hot* breakfast on Saturday was ho-hum. I grabbed a bagel and called it a day.

I would consider staying here again (for an annual dog show weekend in Macungie), but would hope that a few of my concerns would be addressed. There *are* other hotels nearby.

Water damage and peeling ceiling in bathroom, lumpy beds, breakfast bar was very untidy and slim pickens, door to the room had light from the hallway shining through on both sides, my husband requested a few towels and soap, he was told they would bring them up even though he was at the desk and offered to do it, they never brought them and when he called they said sorry they forgot and he went down to pick them up. Overall very disappointing and we will not use this facility again.

Highly Disappointing Stay: Poor Value and Lack of Basic Amenities
My stay was unfortunately marred by several significant issues. Upon check-in, I was assigned a room without being asked for any preference, which already suggested a lack of attention to guest comfort.
The room itself, while superficially clean, was noticeably musty with poor air circulation, suggesting it had been closed up for a long time. This made the room environment unpleasant. Additionally, there was a persistent dog barking directly in the room across the hall, severely impacting the peace and quiet.
The breakfast was a particular low point and frankly a joke. It consisted of no fresh fruit and only a few old bagels. The self-serve machine was broken, and the coffee, when available, was often old brew. Further, the front desk did not even have drinking water available for guests, which is an unacceptable oversight for a basic hotel amenity.
Overall, the room comfort and basic amenities fell far short of expected standards. I cannot recommend this hotel until they address these fundamental issues concerning air quality, noise control, breakfast quality, and essential services like fresh water and functional coffee.

I had stayed here once before and felt it was a cut above typical less expensive hotels. I stand by that assessment, but I felt that it had slipped just a bit. The odd thing was that one of the beds did not have a bed spread, but had otherwise been made. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I had some problems with the TV hookup, which dropped out a few times. - I would not avoid staying again, but I would consider all options.

We had to wait to check in along with another couple, who i think was waiting for their room to be cleaned. The woman at the desk appeared to not want to deal with either of us. She basically took my name, told me the room i booked was unavailable, gave me another room and gave me keys, nothing else. Our bathroom was dirty. Hair on the floor and even hanging on the one wash cloth that was in there. And that appeared dirty as well. There was also a pea (yes the vegetable) on the floor mixed in with the hair. We were so tired i didnt want to deal with the front desk agent again. Figured i would deal with it in the morning only to find her there again. Checkout was just as terrible and i was mad at this point and didnt want a confrontation, i just wanted to get out of that hotel. I get everyone is working short staffed everywhere and i can let alot of stuff go but this hotel was awful. I hope atvthe end of this i can upload pics

The property had what I was looking for. It was within 10 minutes of Dorney Park. It had a heated indoor pool and it had a free hot continental breakfast. The area was further away from Dorney than I would have liked, but it was in a more secluded area, not near main roads, so it was quiet. We stayed two nights. We did a bedbug check and the room had NO bug issues of any kind. Sheets were very clean.
While overall it had a dated look and I wasn't fond of the decor, it was clean with the rooms and bathrooms quite well cared for.
The only gripe I had was that when we came back from Dorney, our room wasn't made up. I was told they were short a cleaning lady and apparently, there was only one on and she missed some rooms. I ended up making 4 trips to the lobby, to replace used items that I needed. While not a really big deal, I had just come from being 10 hours in an amusement park with my family and we were all sweaty and tired.
The hot breakfast was good, but they apparently ran out of creamer for the coffee, so we just opted for Orange Juice. The only offered one hot item and one hot side per day. An improvement would be to offer both eggs and French Toast and both sausage and bacon all days.
Pool area was nice and clean. No issues there.
While not my first pick as the hotel I wanted was sold out, it was more than good enough replacement. I would definitely stay here again.

I liked the gym and salt water pool option even though we didn't get a chance to use it.
I didn't like a booming humming noise the ac made in our room. Also the tv wasn't working and even though they sent\"maintenance\" it still was not matching the channels on the guide. The person who checked us in charged us an extra $ 71 and the person who checked us out didn't realized it either. We had to come back after I looked over our bank charges on my phone. Breakfast was extremely low quality.

So I stood at the check-in desk for quite awhile before the staff person rushed in from the back door, bringing the odor of marijuana with her.
The area behind the desk had rags and a bucket on the floor, and general junk. It looked trashy.
The room was clean and spacious. The bed and linens were comfortable. There were just two bath towels, which seemed cheap.
And there was not a single garbage can in our suite.
The hotel needs some serious updating if you’re going to charge $179.00 for one night.

Lobby was dirty, swimming pool was very slippery and had a bunch of guys openly drinking while our daughter swam, shower was only scalding hot, room floor left socks black, and breakfast was really bad (trays for hot food but none, broken waffle maker, etc.) Overall, very disappointing.

The hotel is not as clean or modern as pictured. The front desk charged me $20 for “incidentals”. I checked in at 11:30pm and left at 7:30am, what “incidentals” did I incur while I was sleeping? The room while clean was very dated looking. The hotel is not near anything except office buildings. Was worth the $100/night I paid I guess.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room had everything I needed while staying, good wifi, comfortable bed, good selection of TV stations, refrigerator, and a good chair to sit in.

It is an older hotel, but everything was in good condition. The only negative I had was the hot water. The water never got very hot. It wasn't cold, but I would have liked it to be hotter than it was.
