The bed and bedding were the best we've ever experienced. Great shower with good water pressure. Huge t.v. 60 inch with beautiful colour definition. Great lighting, wall art and wonderful antique decor throughout the hotel. Could not be better. The breakfast was very good with lots of good choices.

This hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the historic centre. We arrived late and I was concerned about parking but even though they only had 4 spaces - we managed to get one. The reception staff gave us lots of info and a map of where up go etc. No
Hotel bar and no garden or nice view from room but good breakfast and lovely staff.

The property is under a 10 minute walk from the Lolli train station. There are a few restaurants and a 24/7 grocery store close by which is nice. About a 20 minute walk to the monuments you’d like to see. Breakfast was good, staff was great. Very nice rooms.

The hotel was nice sermed updated rooms nice calm color and bathroom. But there was a stench in our room coming from the bathroom. Instead of shifting us the staff asked to open my door and windows to air it out. Mind you my room was right next to the elevator. So I was on parade for a bit. Smell was still there but we weren't moved.
Then after we checked in to our two rooms my husband and I and our two teenagers. My husband was stopped later on and grilled about our children's ages trying to charge us extra because they claim that children are considered 4 and under wven though they have a contract with Expedia where kids are 17 and under.
So even after I showed them Expedias policy we were still being treated rudely and like criminals. So I reached out to Expedia because they wanted us to pay more

A good location for exploring the large city of Palermo with its uniquely different quarters. The hotel is in a quiet district and 10-15 min walk to the central area around the cathedral and there are good dining options within 10 minutes walk. The staff were courteous and helpful and even allowed us to check into our rooms 2 hours early.
Rooms were simple but clean, spacious and had very comfortable beds and pillows. There is a comfortable lounge to relax in if you are tired after a days exploration but the fitness room is small and only accommodates 2 people maximum.
All in all a very enjoyable and comfortable stay. Thank you to the wonderful and hardworking staff.

We cannot speak on the parking situation as we did not have a rental car. It was a 25 minute walk to the town center and plenty of cafes, restaurants and shops in vicinity

I stayed here for three weeks. The staff upgraded my room to one with a balcony, which is great to have-- but both rooms were very nice.

The beds are very comfortable, though I do wish they had black-out curtains.

The staff was very helpful in assisting me in finding services I needed to fully enjoy my stay in Palermo.

The housekeeping staff was diligent and friendly, greatly enjoyed them.

I don't usually eat breakfast at hotels, but I did here. The buffet was simple but had something for everyone: eggs, meat, some lovely sweet treats, and great coffee. Even though it was a buffet, the server was always present and happy to get whatever you wanted.

The location is quiet--but very, very close to the historic center. I enjoyed the short walk, and i also enjoyed the proximity to more 'local ' cafés, etc.

I would be happy to stay here again.

The hotel room was a great surprise. It was definitely comfortable with really nice beds and linens. There were duvets on the bed. The bathroom was not large but it was fine. And the breakfast offered was fine even though the room was very hot. The only bad thing about the hotel was the €100 taxi ride from the Palermo airport. we walked to one of the squares and enjoyed a nice dinner

This was the worst four-star hotel I've ever been to. although the reception was nice, from the outside and the common areas looked good, but the service was terrible, the staff didn't even see us, the breakfast was very poor, but the worst thing was the cleanliness. There was a terrible smell in the room and mold in the shower. This is Deluxe room in 4-star hotel.

Note if you have a car make sure you make a reservation for parking at the time of hotel booking, space is a premium in the city. Great service including laundry delivered on time and ironed.
Excellent location walkable to all points of interest and nice little restaurants just a block away.

Our room was clean and comfortable, though not fancy at all. Breakfast was a nice buffet, included in the room fee. The location was convenient, as we could walk to everything we wanted to see. The staff were helpful with recommendations to restaurants and such.

The exterior of the building is rather drab, without clear signage indicating that it is indeed the hotel, and buildings across and on the street are covered in graffiti, so the first impression of the hotel is not good. It looks like a bad neighborhood. But it turned out to be fine….much of Palermo looks this way, with litter and graffiti, which is really sad.

Wifi signal did not even register in the room on a laptop and was so weak to be unusable on a mobile.

Cleaning was poor and the toilet had wasted water running down the drain for 5 days.

Tea and coffee were not replenished each day and cups and saucers not changed or washed.

Perfect location to explore the city, good non touristy restaurants around the hotel. The area is residential but steps from the touristy area. Our room was spacious, nothing upper scale but just right. The internet wasn’t reliable, lots of times wouldn’t work, specially late night or in the mornings. Staff is so friendly, helpful and accommodating, if you ask for recommendations they will share so many good tips! Monica at the front desk was dear to us, she gave us so many tips on what to do and all recommendations were spot on including day driving trips. We didn’t like the breakfast, not freshest ingredients and poor presentation, but the waitress was very nice. Parking worked out well, they don’t have a lot of spaces but had availability for us, even let us keep the space until late on check out date. We were not recognized as gold hotels.com gold members, so no perks. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and would recommend it.

Staff especially Bruno were most helpful. We were given a room for disabled people on arrival so we asked for a room with a bath to save any embarrassment. We got this after two days.

Hotel is well situated in a quiet residential area within easy walking distance of the city centre. Ample restaurants within 5-10 minutes walk.

A little worn eg threadbare carpet on stairs. WiFi signal weak in my room so was without for one day. Worth considering if you rely on WiFi. Breakfast satisfactory. Bathroom cramped. Expensive for what you get

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights. Our biggest issue occurred on our second stay for 3 days. This hotel seems to book to large tour groups, which can make it noisy and crowded at times. When we were there, our air conditioning system would not work. The lady at the front desk informed me that the central heating/air system could only be heat OR air conditioning. And, since majority preferred heat, that is what it will remain set at. If I had known this, I would have NEVER booked this hotel. For over $300 a night, this is unacceptable. In order to try to stay cooler, we gave up our junior suite (without compensation) to stay in an area with less noise when the windows were open. Unfortunately, it was still too loud. Therefore, I lost 2 nights of good sleep because it was too hot in the room. The only other issue we had was that we told the housekeeper (in Italian) that we did not need anything and that the room did not need to be clean, but she came into the room anyway. The second time we told the housekeeper AND the front desk and she still went into the room. This hotel is a little bit run down and needs to be updated. The pictures online look really nice, but the hotel itself needs some updating.The location is a 20-25 minute walk from the main sites and most of the restaurants. After being there and travelling that distance multiple times in a day, I would have preferred a hotel closer.The breakfast was simply average.

A bit far from city cener, but reasonable stay

Old building but well renovated. WiFi is not so stable. Far from Massimo Theater and other major sightseeing spots, so transportation by bus or if you are healthy enough on foot is essential.
24 hours open supermarket is walking distance and easy to buy drinks and snacks.

Cozy and welcoming hotel in Palermo

The hotel is very nice and cozy. Very well located and close to the historic center, extremely nice restaurants, and shopping outlets. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. They were always willing to do the extra mile. They all speak a very good English and were constantly trying to make our stay a very pleasant one. The hotel decoration is very artistically appealing although some light maintenance work needs to be done. The breakfast buffet was delicious!

Hotel is modern, spotlessly clean,well situated for sightseeing in Palermo and staffed by lovely friendly people. Breakfast is continental and adequate. No hot food is served. Rooms are large,equipped with a minibar fridge and a/c . Drinks from the mini bar are very expensive. Carrefour supermarket within 200 metres for purchasing drinks. Strangely, the bathroom was tiny (3 sq metres)and was completely devoid of any shelves to put things and no drawers in hotel room. Shower gel , shampoo and towels replenished every day. Loads of restaurants in area for night time eating.

Stayed at this hotel as the owner of the apartment I booked didn't turn up. Got the last room in the hotel. Was hoping for access to the spa as advertised however no spa on site which was disappointing. The room itself was spacious and comfortable. Slow wifi. Breakfast was ok. Very slow service for coffee and limited savoury options but plenty of sugary treats.

A nice hotel in quiet area

Excellent location on a side road close to centre, with plenty of good restaurants nearby. It is close enough to walk into the centre, but a quick and easy bus ride if you don't want to walk. Hotel staff were very helpful. Buffet breakfast had a large selection of cakes and fruit. We would certainly stay there again for a short stay and we liked Palermo very much.

Hotel Principe di Villafranca is a very modern hotel in central Palermo. It is quiet and reasonably convenient for tourist sites. There are plenty of excellent, good-value restaurants nearby. Breakfast was very good. Reception staff were most helpful. Parking in the hotel's underground park was free (very important, as traffic and parking are crazy! Bed was a bit hard!

Seeing friends and family in Palermo

On arrival we met Angelo, professional attentive and welcoming. Hotel was beautifully decorated rooms were clean and all staff excellent. In house restaurant served great food freshly cooked and the cook came out to welcome us and take our order. Rooms were very professionally decorated with ample room. Bar fridge was stocked with all you can require. Antonio was very attentive to our needs every morning at breakfast. The hotel should be rated a 5 star as far as we are concerned. We will be going back in couple of years for a wedding and will be sure to book the room at the Hotel Principe di Villafranca.

Great boutique hotel in central location

We stayed two nights while on holiday in Sicily. The staff were very welcoming, the interior finish of the hotel and rooms is of a high standard. It wasn't a problem for us but the size of the room was a bit compact with only a small tv. We ate dinner at the restaurant, the foos was really good, and they recommended a delicious local wine, all at reasonable prices. Would recommend.
