Palazzo Pantaleo is a solid 3 star hotel on the road that becomes the main passagio for the town on the weekends. Because it's set back from the street, you can get away from what is a very large crowd without any problems. The room, the bed and the bathroom were all very clean.

All staff are friendly. Great location and walkable to the attractions in the city. Easy parking that we could just walk in Palermo and drive to other cities for a day trip. We could have the great start of the day by enjoying breakfast at the nice dining area and greeted by friendly staff. Bottles of water were filled every day, it was great with such a hot weather.

The staff were all very welcoming and helpful. The location was perfect. Just on the outer part of the original part of Palermo. The cathedral and other key sites are only 10-15 mins slow walk away and through very interesting streets and the harbour is only about 10 mins walk. There are also some great restaurants nearby. The area for breakfast is like a little conservatory, light and with character and there was a good selection of food. I only have good things to say about this place.

Giuseppe has a lovely property in an excellent location. He and his staff were very kind and accommodating. We had a quad room which slept all five of us. It was a little warm, but we were lent an oscillating fan that helped a lot, and the other two people in our party had a suite with great A/C that we were able to enjoy when needed. Excellent breakfast - I think the staff made the best cappuccino in all of Italy.

This is a hidden gem. Guiseppe is a very nice man who will make travel arrangements for you to/from airport, as well as dining reservations and more. Don’t be discouraged by the plain, non descript exterior of the building. The hotel is on the third floor only. Giuseppe met us and told us to leave our bags and proceed to the elevator. He and his employee brought up our bags and delivered them to our room. There were 4 of us and we had a spacious room with 2 double beds and a twin, it worked out great, and the price was right. The bathroom was clean with generous amounts of body wash and other products. The shower had excellent water pressure which is important to us. The included breakfast was amazing and delicious with full coffee service. We liked this place better than the one our travel agent arranged at the end of our trip and, that place was more expensive. The AC in our room was also great, we run hot so that made us happy. Only downside, the downstairs hallway leading to the elevator is very dark, make sure you have a flashlight or light on your phone at night. We asked for a taxi at a certain time and left our bags in the office. When we got back from shopping, taxi was there and our bags were already being loaded in, so nice and easy! Thanks for a great stay!

We stayed 2 nights. The room was excellent. The bathroom was large and contemporary. Giuseppe (owner) did a complete renovation in 2004-06. Location was within walking of almost all major attractions. Parking included. Breakfast was great. Giuseppe is a premier owner. When we got disoriented arriving by car, he met us and ushered us in. I would absolutely recommend this accommodation.

Palazzo Pantaleo was a wonderful B&B. My room was very comfortble and quiet. The B&B also had a delicious breakfast. It is in a great location as it is close to all the sites. The owner was very friendly and helpul when I caught him. My only complaint was that I was often unsure when the owner would be around so sometimes I was unable to get my questions answered.

This is a great little place to stay in Palermo. The host is very responsive and helpful - he arranged for a driver for us to Monreale, outside of town. The residence tucked into a courtyard and is a little hard to find, but someone will come out to direct you if you contact them when you get to the neighborhood (right near Teatro Politeama Garibaldi, where the bus from the airport stops). Even though it's in a bustling part of town, the rooms are quiet and comfortable.

The Palazzo Pantaleo is very well located in Palermo but is an older hotel. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast was OK. Mostly pastries. We were able to park in their lot for our two nights without charge which was great.

Tranquil B&B just set back from the main shopping street of Via Maqueda, but only 10 minutes walk to the heart of the city of the Quattro Canti. Another advantage is it is also not far from the airport bus route, although can be a bit tricky to find as a result of development works at Politeama.
We had a big spacious, traditional room, which was spotlessly clean. Excellent daily breakfast, taken in the conservatory reception and what seemed like an inexhaustible supply of bottled water in our room fridge. Giuseppe the owner was pleasant and welcoming, all in all a great place to stay.

Great B&B in central Palermo
As many reviewers have reported, Palazzo Pantaleo is a great find. It’s within walking distance of everything—museums, churches, restaurants, shopping of every sort, but because it’s on an inner courtyard, it’s quiet and calm. The rooms are very large and the bathrooms modern and very well furnished. Giuseppe, the owner, is extremely helpful whether it’s confirming which bus to take to Monreale, suggesting a range of excellent restaurants, arranging a driver for a trip to Segesta and Erice in the off-season. The breakfasts are abundant and awesome, with Sicilian specialties galore, not to mention fresh-squeezed orange juice. Finding the B&B is a bit tricky the first time (it has a private elevator in an unmarked entry), so it’s good to call on your arrival in the courtyard or ask one of the obliging barbers in the shop on the ground floor, who will call for you.

After touring around Sicily for a couple of weeks, we needed somewhere with a car park for the last couple of nights in Palermo, near to the airport; Palazzo Pantaleo is ideal.
It is right in the city centre on the main shopping street, close to all of Palermo's visitor attractions and night-life, but because it is at the rear of the shops it is nice and quiet.
There is a private lift that takes you up to the 3rd floor Palazzo and what a surprise awaits you. The rooms are superbly decorated and comfortable, the bathrooms are lovely with lots of hot water and the breakfast is great. Giuseppe is a wonderful host and very helpful and informative about the area, whats-on etc. We had a great time, highly recommended.

Palazzo Pantaleo was perfect. The room was very large and comfortable and the location was excellent. We found Giuseppe, the owner, to be extremely helpful and welcoming. After a long day on the road, it was wonderful to drive into the convenient parking area and leave the car behind us during our stay. In the midst of the busy streets of Palermo, tucked inside a small square off one of the main roads youll find Palazzo Pantaleo. This bed and breakfast is beautiful, centrally located, yet extraoridnarily quiet because of soundproofed rooms, so it makes for a great respite after a busy day in Palermo.
The breakfast was a lovely spread of pastries, meat and cheese, and fruits, with muesli and cereal also. Perhaps the best part of the stay was the wonderful host Giuseppe, whose great sense of humor and caee for his guests made this all the better of an experience.

The hotel is in an older building that has been retrofit. As such, the layout was not designed as a hotel but has been modified to serve that purpose. The room was clean and serviceable. The location was excellent being in a courtyard entered from the main thoroughfare. Amenities are consistent with a bed and breakfast facility.

We stayed at the Palazzo Pantaleo for only one night (early May 2018). It was one of the best city hotels that we have ever stayed in. The position is central with easy access to the main sites and many good restaurants. Our room (2) was spacious and overlooked a courtyard so that although the Palazzo is on the main road there was no noise. We were pleased to find that there was lots of space for our clothes and other things. The bathroom was big and modern with lots of shelf space. Breakfast was a good version of the standard Italian fare with plenty to choose from. We enjoyed our stay so much and the accommodation was so good that in the future we will be judging all other hotels by the standard set by Giuseppe and the Pantaleo.

It's a B&B, but it was like a hotel. The room was very big and comfortable. Breakfast spread was probably the best I've seen in Italy. Great coffee too. Hotel staff are kind, funny and helpful. They keep the room very clean too. Location is perfect for all the attractions and shopping and restaurants, It's a bit far from the train station but you can take a bus. Airport shuttle has a bus stop near this B&B also.
The room has a fridge with water bottles which are offered for free - very generous.
Even though it is located in the center of Palermo, it's quiet too.
I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend.

Loved this bed and breakfast! Our rooms were huge, pretty and clean. I was concerned that my room would be loud since it was right across from the kitchen, but with my second door closed, it was very quiet. The breakfast was delicious, and the fresh squeezed orange juice was a real treat. The only slight negative was that parking in the area is a challenge (but it is a city so not surprising), though we were able to park with the help of the owner. I highly recommend the Palazzo Pantaleo and would definitely stay there again! (also in the heart of Palermo, within walking distance to many sites)

My companions and I (three of us) were pleased with our room (three twin beds) and especially the sizeable bathroom at Palazzo Pantaleo. Also, breakfast was a generous spread in a charming dining space.

We were provided with a wand, needed to call the hotel’s private elevator to ground level. Another button on the wand opened the gate used to close off the courtyard late at night. We also had two keys, one to the front door of the building where the hotel is located and, of course, another to our room.
Our host/hotel manager Giuseppe was very cordial and helpful about advice for restaurants, how to accomplish sightseeing goals and, finally, with arrangements for a very early-morning car service to the airport. The airport transfer worked brilliantly and was reasonably priced.
About location: The hotel is in a good situation, within a 20-minute walking distance of the cathedral, for example. The city is too big to walk to everything, but we appreciated being as close to the points of touristic interest as possible.
