The property was in a nice area with very nice staff; however, both of our rooms were very hot and trim around the doors was falling off. The most concerning part of the trip was when our family used their room key to open our room and we learned the keys open any door. Unfortunately we learned this on the last night or would have left sooner.

Wonderful place to stay close to everything!

Our family had a wonderful stay at Ai Vicerè. Everyone made us feel comfortable and welcome. The location is awesome, close to everything in downtown Palermo but still quiet at night. We all slept well and the apartment had plenty of space for us and our teens. Breakfast was delicious. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks for your hospitality and kindness!

Great location, some fine rooms.

After one night we had our room changed from a very unsatisfactory room to a very satisfactory one. The B & B is in a superb location close to all Palermo's main attractions. It was comfortable and quiet, although it does not have a common area where one can socialise. Breakfasts were fine if there was tables free to eat them in the garden.

This property is in a good location. The property provides just basic needs. A few rooms have an exterior bathroom. Breakfast is ok. Staff does not speak English or very very little. Just in case your primary language is not Italian.

We didn't actually stay at Ai Vicere. Apparently there was a problem with the room we would have stayed out, so the owner contacted us on WhatsApp and offered us a room at a different one of her properties (the one in Piazza Marina). The location was good and the room was nice. The first room had an unattached bathroom (private, locked, but out in the common hallway). When I complained because it was inconvenient, particularly at night, she moved us the next day to a different room with an en suite bathroom.

Sicilian Retreat

Ai Vicere was the perfect place to stay during our visit in Palermo. Eleanora and Luca were very welcoming and provided us with information before our arrival. We took the guided tour with Simone, who was very knowledgeable and provided us with great insights.
The B &B was in a wonderful location and central to everything that we wanted to visit. The room was very beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast was yummy! Overall a very positive experience and a great place to experience the Sicilian culture.

Convenient location

The B&B is just a few step from Teatro Massimo and you can walk everywhere from there to visit the best spots of Palermo. The room was essential but nice. We had ensuite bathroom but some other friends had a private bathroom outside the room, so ask when you book. Luca and Eleonora are very nice and helpful and they answered all our questions and requests. We overall had a very nice stay.

There was a problem at Ai Vicere and the owner contacted us, apologize for the inconvenience and explained to us that we would not be able to stay at Ai Viceré. But he offered us to stay in a nearby, recently opened, better B&B (Piazza Marina). We were unable to call him up and arrive at late hours. The owner got a previous e-mail message from us and 5 minutes after we have found the place, he showed up with a young lady and let us in the B&B. The young lady made a thorough explanation of the area, places to visit, restaurants, everything. The bottomline is that the owner was a responsible, helpful and reliable person who did not abandon us and provided a professional service. The location of the Piazza Marina was at the end of the Historic Centre. On Sunday there was a flea market at Piazza Marina where you may find many useless things that you cannot resist to buy. You have to bargain and you may get some 10 to 20% discount. Car parking is a nuisance, like in every city in Italy. We recommend you park the car on the Foro Italico Umberto I and walk 7 blocks to the hotel. The place looks safe.

I had a wonderful stay at this B&B in wonderful Palermo. My room was well-lit, spacious and very clean. Moreover, the bed and pillows were extremely comfy. You do not really need your car because almost everything you need to see is located within walking distance (Teatro Massimo, Politeama, Palazzo dei Normanni, Porto, etc...). There is also a huge indoor parking garage for those who have a car (5 minutes). You will also find great restaurants nearby. The area is very safe, even at night. Breakfast was delicious and among the things I ate, I remember cannolis, baked cassata, pastries and croissants. The staff was very nice and Luca and his mom offered useful advice and recommendations on the best places to eat.

An excellent place with one exception

Everything was excellent (with one exception that I'll mention in a minute). The hosts were totally pleasant and helpful. They picked me up at the airport because my plane was arriving at midnight. They did online research for me to check bus schedules. My only complaint is that at about 6:45 a.m., the kitchen staff made so much noise dragging chairs or tables around and preparing food in the kitchen (which was near my room) that it ended my sleep for the night. I probably missed about one and a half hours sleep. I didn't complain to my hosts because I didn't want to seem ungrateful for all their efforts.

Great location!

We spent a couple of nights here on arrival from the UK, and a final night before we returned home. Luca helped us find a good place to stay on leaving Palermo, and gave us good information about what to see and where to eat in Palermo. His command of English was excellent, which was also true for the rest of the staff.

So glad we stayed here!

Really loved our stay here. The location is brilliant as you are based in the centre of Palermo, with great restaurants and sights nearby. The best thing about this b&b is Luca and all the staff. They really are amazing and really ensure that you are looked after. If you ever have a query regarding where to go and what to do then Luca will always provide great advice. Highly recommend this place!

A reall B&B in a great location

This was one of the stars of our travels through Southern Europe. The owner, Luca makes you feel like you are staying at his house. The hotel is well located with in easy walking distance to everything that you will want to see. The rooms are large and comfortable. We had a great time staying at the Al Vicare and would return there in a heartbeat. Hint: listen to Lucas' recommendations for restaurants and don't trust your instincts.

Good price. Luca was a good host. From the time we arrived, he gave us recommendations for places to eat and things to do in the city. And they were all quite good recommendations. The room was comfortable, but the walls were a bit thin, so you can hear traffic and people speaking in other rooms. The hotel also is across from what looks like foreclosed/vacant buildings and theres lots of garbage across the street, so that is not very pleasant.

Four of us stayed 3 days here and found it clean, well located on first floor, and quiet. Rooms good size and very tastefully appointed with art work. Large and varied breakfast buffet. Luca, a gem, gave us city map and orientation, and supplied us with airport transportation at less than private shuttle cost.

Overall comfortable and spacious room and bathroom. Don't expect a lavish room but its clean as does the job. Great value for money. Very secure building. Air conditioning worked wonders! Most attractions are a 5- 10 min walk away. Located between new town and old town. Luca was very helpful, on arrival he showed us everything we needed to know on a map, which set us up perfectly for a lovely stay.Breakfast was typical Italian style- sweets, coffee etc. lovely bnb.

Enjoyed our stay!

B & B was centrally located. It was easy to get around by foot. We felt very safe walking around day or night. Bed very comfortable. Our room was very quiet. We had adequate room in the bathroom. Luca was very helpful making suggestions of where to eat and what to see. He was always there in the morning along with his mother Angela who served breakfast. Breakfast at Ai Vicere was very good, serving yogart, cheese and salami, sweet rolls, toast and jellies and always something fresh baked along with cappachino. We took Luca's suggestion of a place to eat. \"Trattoria LaTavernaccia\" just down the street. It was very good and cheap with large portions. The wait staff were friendly and helpful. It was so good we ate all our meals there.

Llegamos luego de mucha dificultad en ubicar el edificio, y nos dijeron que nuestra habitación quedaba en otro edificio a 300 metros de la direccion donde figuraba la reserva. El lugar era frente a un parking lo cual generaba mucha inseguridad de noche. En este nuevo complejo figuraba otro nombre, otro encargado no muy amable. Creo que falto claridad, responsabilidad y experiencia en el trato.

Reservei um quarto de casal com banheiro privativo, mas quando cheguei no hotel tive que pagar mais €30 para ter o banheiro privativo
Achei um absurdo, pois jamais reservaria um quarto que nao tivesse banheiro privativo. Outro ponto que nao concordo é que reservei um HOTEL e, nao, B&B, que é o sistema do Al Vicerè de Palermo. Além de tudo isso, o dono do Al Vicerè, Luca, nao é nada simpatico. O que valeu foi o café da manhã e o local do hotel. Tirando o dono, o Luca, os empregados foram muito solicitos e simpaticos. Recomendaria com ressalvas: NÃO E HOTEL, É B&B.

Ideale ligging voor een stedentrip

De prijs-kwaliteit verhouding van dit hotel is heel goed. Daarnaast staan de eigenaren elk moment voor je klaar om vragen te beantwoorden en tips te geven. Het ontbijt 's morgens is prima. De ligging van de B&B is perfect want op loopafstand bevinden zich verschillende bezienswaardigheden.
Minpunt voor ons was de badkamer. Deze bevindt zich apart van de slaapkamer, daardoor moesten we door de keuken naar onze badkamer. Tevens hing de douche veel te laag. Dit was echter maar een klein minpuntje.

Ottima accoglienza e disponibilità dei proprietari; camera molto pulita, insonorizzata e confortevole (la nostra stanza non era tra quelle illustrate nell'inserzione); colazione ricca e varia con, anche, preparazione di piatti a richiesta. Ottima posizione per giri culturali. Purtroppo non è presente un frigorifero, né un balcone dove poter stendere gli asciugamani. Adattissimo a soggiorni brevi.

Une nuit passée à l'hôtel, mais très agréable, climatisé, idéalement placé pour se faire un tour de ville à pied, facile à trouver, de quoi se garer à proximité, petit déjeuner européen simple mais bon etc. rien à redire, à part un petit conseil... éteignez le minibar qui fait un peu de bruit !

Beb confortevole ,stanze ampie e bagni puliti e ordinati,ma la cosa che lo rende eccellente e la sua vicinanza al centro storico (a 100mt dal teatro massimo)e dalla vita che palermo offre alla sera .quindi non serve la macchina se uno vuole farsi 2 giorni a Palermo

Hotel demasiado mercantilización y frío.

En general muy buena con un buen desayuno, situación céntrica y tranquila pero la habitación estába separada del baño aunque no era compartido. El dueño un poco borde (no debía ser su día) y en cambio la madre muy agradable esforzándose en atendernos.
