Room was "updated" with paint only. Ceiling had a water stain. Fire alarm was rusty. Deadbolt didn't work, shower was dirty, shower head was terrible, and chair in room was disgustingly dirty and had crumbs under the cushion.

Location was perfect for going to Busch Gardens. Pool was nice. Room was meh. Our door didn’t shut all the way, had clearly been kicked in before so light came in and could hear everything. Daughter pulled hair ball out of bath drain. Stains on bedding, bed was hard. Breakfast was ok as well.

The floors in our room were badly warped, with the edges of each board curling upward, so we had to keep our shoes on just to walk across. The room reeked of mildew. There was no noise barrier to the outside. We heard every conversation that was taken place outside of our room. We know we were not the only dissatisfied customer as my husband heard another guest complaining by calling the hotel a "rat hole." Breakfast was terrible—there was no batter for my husband to make a waffle, a heap of undercooked pancakes sat in the pancake maker, the bacon was burnt to a crisp, and the sausage was rubbery. We ended up leaving to find a real breakfast. This was our first time staying at a La Quinta, and it will be our last. Wyndham really needs to step in and properly manage these properties.

Run do not think about this property. I feared for my life! The doors appeared to have been kicked in. I got bd bugs from this place and people constantly asked for Money as we got out of car. Only good thing was the pool but no hot tub so it was always crowded and no pool towels. Stay safe and don’t stay here

The room was 182 and 183 and they were nasty. The floor was falling apart in 182 and the corners of the room were dirty. I cut my foot on the floor within the first hour and wore shoes the rest of the time. The breakfast was beyond disgusting and the pancake machine spit out the nastiest looking paper thin pancakes that was ever created. The sausage looked 3 days old and the bacon was dehydrated to almost powder. The front desk reps were rude and did not listen to anything you were saying. And they charge for dogs, regardless of what is posted on hotels.com. Most LaQuinta Inns are not bad but this one is a 3 out of 10. Hire some people that actually care, not oxygen thieves.

The check in process was a breeze. The floor in our room had laminete hardwood type floors that were warped and popped and moved when you walked on them. Everything else in the room was nice. The bed was very comfortable.

The area immediately surrounding the building was filthy, and the breakfast was disgusting; the bacon was swimming in grease, and the only other options were the cheapest hard-boiled eggs and bagels. The coffee was cold, and the dining area was honestly depressing.

The building is very dated. The door for the room sagged and was hard to close. Toilet seat was loose and slid off to the side when in use. The room was clean and I didn't see any bugs. The staff was very nice, check in was a breeze. A place to stay at a budget price.

Hotel is right next to Busch gardens which is a huge plus if you are going there! We picked up our keys and went to our room, in which the window was facing a hallway wall in a dark corner. No problem, we weren’t there for the views, we were there to just have a place to crash for two nights. Hotel was full of smokers outside.

The strangest part was breakfast. My sister and I went down for the free breakfast, which was incredibly mid. Cereal, bagels, toast, yogurt, coffee and juice machines. We were talking, and I went to use the pancake maker, where you push a button and it makes pancakes. The tray was stacked under the dispenser, I thought maybe it had a bug. I pushed the button and waited with my plate under the dispenser but above the ice cold pancakes below it. My sister was telling me a story and put her hand on the waffle maker for two seconds, when out of nowhere, the breakfast police, the employee overseeing breakfast, instantly appeared and snapped at her, saying “WE’RE NOT MAKING WAFFLES TODAY”. My sister responded she was aware, and the employee then saw I was making my own pancakes. She came over, repeating that she “already made a stack and to grab from the tray”.

Now… why would you waste pancake mix by letting them get cold on a tray and sitting out in the open when you can just let people…. Push a button to make fresh pancakes? This employee hounded us so much that we just let and went elsewhere for breakfast. Anyway, won’t be back but it wasn’t the worst.

To say that this hotel includes breakfast it's a very big lie. It has an area that looks from the seventies, it has 3 or 4 food items and on top of that a cup for tips... and you still need to go somewhere for breakfast.

I stayed at this motel and had a very positive experience. The room was clean, comfortable, and well equipped for a short stay. Check-in was quick and the staff was friendly and attentive at all times. The location is convenient and the atmosphere is quiet, making it ideal for resting. Overall, it is an excellent option for the price and comfort, and I would definitely recommend it for short stays.

The first room we went to had buckled floors and chunks missing out of the vinyl floor. The second room we were given had filthy floors but I will say that the linens were fresh and clean. Most of the staff was friendly. The maid was non English speaking and came at 10:15 while I was trying to get all my children ready for a day at Busch gardens. When I told her we were leaving shortly, she had left. When we came back home at 8p.m. From the park, our room was just as we left it and the staff never freshened anything up nor made the beds. Breakfast was sub-par with no availability to the waffle machine and the pancakes were raw when they came out of the conveyer belt. This property should be advertised as 420 friendly as the fumes in the hallways were ghastly at all times and not conducive for a family friendly visit. It cost me over $500 for two nights and I don’t feel that the property reflects its value for what it cost.

I really debated whether to rate this hotel a 2 or a 3. It wasn't horrible, but I decided that I plan on never staying there again -- so I settled on a 2.

The staff that I interacted with were fantastic. Both the man at the front desk and the woman inside the breakfast area were very professional and welcoming.

The breakfast was fine. There was a good variety of items.

It also appears that the room has a fresh coat of paint and newer flooring. Besides a spitball on the bottom of the wall and a baseball-sized stain on the comforter, the room seemed clean.

The surrounding area does not feel safe -- but there is a police station nearby.

There were some maintenance issues. There were rolled up towels outside the room next to our AC unit. The wall thermostat didn't work. The only soap by the sink was in a bottle labeled "shampoo". Also, our bathroom door did not shut easily; it took a little effort to make it shut all the way. But the thing that concerned me the most: our room door wasn't flush with the frame when it shut. We didn't notice until we went to bed, turned out all the lights, and saw quite a bit of light coming through the bottom right of the door. It was definitely wide enough for roaches to come through (although we didn't see any). Another guest at the hotel stood outside our room early in the morning to smoke a cigarette, and we smelled the smoke in our room.

Hopefully the hotel will work a little harder on maintenance. Again, the staff were great.

Moldy room, mold on the lamp shade & floor swelling with murky water outside of the shower upon arrival. Made my white sock black & wet in the line of the floor crack. Unbelievable moldy musty smell in the whole room directly across from the pool, would never reccomend. And the waffle machine was broken, the pancake automated machine was putting out spaghetti looking pancakes, it was just a mess. For $50-75 more just go to a Hilton for your own health safety

Terrible dirty room full of hairs. Extremely Dirty. They keep the rooms dark so you don’t notice that they never do housekeeping. Breakfast couldn’t be worse. Location is just ok. Walking distance to Busch Gardens. Would never go back. Check in 4pm and checkout 11am. Hotels have got to stop this.

I was very fearful up upon reading the reviews for this hotel. Me and my friend shared it two bedroom for the night and the beds were quite cozy. It was cleaner than expected, and there were no bugs like previous reviews have stated. Hotel staff was very friendly and there was a great amount of choices for breakfast.

If you’re looking for some extravagant ultra clean stay, this is not your place. but if you want something cheap that’ll work for a night or two this will work wonders on a budget

The flooring in the room was damaged and should have been replaced, the seams in the flooring raised as a floor had been wet. It was coming apart in sea. I didn’t recognize it at first cause who looks at the floor, but after being in the room for about 20 minutes, your eyes there was an issue with the floor shouldn’t have been given to a guest stay. Not have been given to a guest.

If you just need a place to stay the night after a long day at Busch Gardens, then this place is pretty nice for that. It’s super close distance wise from the park. However, the breakfast was a joke. There was no waffle mix, and the pancakes being put out by the machine were very uncooked. Also, the worker during the breakfast shift wasn’t the nicest, when I asked about the pancakes being undone she answered in a rude manner. Besides that, the room itself was decently clean for the night we spent.

The room itself was beautiful and has everything you need. The staff amazing, we brought our dog and they were so helpful with any questions and accommodations. The building itself is outdated. We unfortunately had some unbearable people a few doors down smoking every 10minutes yelling something and for some reason who thought it was okay to cat call every time I stepped outside which was unpleasant but in no way the hotel’s fault just messed with the experience overall. This hotel is definitely nice for a quick stay, right near the park and 30-45min from the Rays stadium with lots of great food nearby!

Overall this was a decent place if you're looking for a budget option close to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island.

Rooms are decent however there was a lot of worn damaged paint areas in the rooms but overall decor was modern and clean.

Hallways are very run down and in desperate need of a face lift.

Other than that the staff was lovely and the location was ideal for quickly walking to Busch Gardens (however it's not a five minute walk like it looks, there's a huge fenced area you have to walk around so it took us 15 minutes --- for most it would likely take 20-25 minutes to walk between).

Unfortunately, this stay was not 100% pleasant. From time to time I mentioned that they were having a bug issue. This stay was the worse one with the room having bedbugs. They switched rooms for me because the staff is great but the hotel quality is definitely shrinking. Hope they fix it. It’s a great staff that works hard.

I reserved 2 rooms. 1 for my daughter the bride & 1 for her husband the groom. The ladies room had bugs in it. And in the groom's room they had to change rooms due to busted out window. The front desk staff was extremely nice & helpful. Not sure if i would stay here again. Property was clean and looked good up front but that's it.

Nothing luxurious, but a clean solid room. The same can be said of the facility. Location was a bit further of a walk to Bush Gardens than I had anticipated, but still doable - just be ready for it. I wouldn't expect a family to walk that far.

Breakfast was the same, nothing fancy but very basic and decent. Quick way to get some food in you and run to the park, and certainly a money saver (it is complimentary).

Staff was friendly and courteous. Pool area was very nice. Plenty of free parking.

Perfectly adequate to spend a night or two (or more), unless you are looking for a luxury stay.
