4 out of the 5 staff members were pleasant. The place is very run down. Our door would not shut unless pushed. We left for the day and came back and our door was open. Didn’t need the key card to get in. The room was very out dated with blood on the wall. Couldn’t be moved due to being full. Police were there when we arrived. Elevators haven’t been vacuumed in weeks or months. Paid for a fridge and microwave and still didn’t have a coffee makers. The breakfast was unsanitary and the staff for breakfast was rude. No waffles just undercooked pancakes. No creamer the first day and milk everyone was using. Construction going on next door that’s very loud. Highly dissatisfied with my stay. I will never book at a La Quinta inn again.

Clean comfortable beds. Good variety of breakfast items and near Busch Gardens. We walked to and from the park and its about 1 mile from the hotel to the front gate. Flat walk and we were lucky it wasnt too hot while visiting the Park. We didnt use the pool but several gueats enjoyed it. Even a few ducks liked the pool. We would stay here again.

The staff was very nice. The door for our first room would not lock and the room they moved us to was so hard to get into. It was like someone had tried to kick the door in. I made the front desk aware of it but they did not seem concerned. The breakfast was okay but nothing special.

Property was very dirty. There was dog pee all over the hallways. The rooms were very nasty. All of our sheets and pillowcases had hair and body fluid on them. The tub was no longer white but yello/cream. Mold and pealing paint in the bathroom from shower moisture. I wouldnt even pay $40 to stay at this hotel very very unsatisfied.

We recently visited Busch Gardens Tampa Bay and stayed with our family of six in a suite at La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Tampa near Busch Gardens. The room was spacious and worked perfectly for all of us, which made our stay very comfortable.

We did run into a small issue in one of the bathrooms, but the hotel handled it quickly and even reimbursed part of our stay, much appreciated gesture. Thank you!

For a short family trip, I definitely recommend this hotel. It’s conveniently located near the park and surrounded by plenty of great restaurants, making everything easy and accessible.

Place was run down, my door was kicked in so when closed you can see a crack at the bottom, i felt unsafe, felt like someone was about to walk in at any minute. Staff was great though, very polite and smiling.

Clean and quiet, no smells, right across from Busch Gardens which is very convenient. No frills, the breakfast was okay, the waffle mix ran out by 9am so we had toasted bagels with cream cheese and jam. The hotel staff was excellent. Highly recommend.

The area and the people "hanging around" outside smoking cigarettes. It not like they just went out for a quick smoke. The elevator was filthy.

All the staff were wonderful, my room was extremly dull yet immaculate. Breakfast was very well done. Good coffee. Very nice attendent, open at 7am not 6am as most places. I wouldnt stay here again, i am a single lady and wasnt comfortable returning at 10pm.

Expedia allowed me to request a microwave and fridge, but the room that I got had none. Then, Expedia charged me for those items. I had to ask the staff to remove them from my bill. I also had, convenience pre-check in offered. It did not speed anything up and made me worry I was charged twice. The blind in my room was stuck, too.

This was a motel. The place is outdated and not very clean. There was a blood stain on one of our pillows. There were people standing outside for most the night & evening smoking weed. There is no smart tvs and the tv had like 10 channels. Yes this was a great deal from Expedia and close to the park, but you get what you pay for.

This entire area was super clean. I was highly impressed by how clean it was. The only drawback was residents hanging outside their rooms which gave it the appearance of a cheap and not so safe environment but that couldn’t be further from the truth. The parking spaces are tight so a F250 truck makes it difficult to maneuver. But I would definitely recommend and stay here again.

We found 2 roaches in our room. Staff was nice, breakfast was cold- no sterno's under the bacon and sausage to keep them warm, the last day, they closed off the section with the microwave, so, couldn't even heat them up.

First off you pull up to a run down looking MOTEL. Never signed up for a motel. We went to check in and got the key to our room, opened the door and yuck. It smells so old and musty. There was hair on the blankets, while using the bathroom there was a small cockroach crawling on the floor. We stayed up until 2 in the morning just worrying and reading bad reviews from other guests. We sucked it up and stayed for the night, my step daughter woke up to someone banging on the door saying “open up.” Never figured out what that was about. Although the room will forever haunt me, I do have 1 positive about this place; the staff is very very nice :)

The inside of the room was better than I expected, from the outside. There was one day that I saw a roach, I was grateful I saw it because hang came home unpacked and found it, I would have been beyond livid. The HDMI didn’t work on the tv so I couldn’t use my fire stick. The room wasn’t cleaned completely, there was a cup under the vanity area. However you know the saying, you get what you pay for. I wouldn’t take my son, but I’d stay again.

I came really tired from my trip and was able to sleep comfortably. The only concern was that the room I stayed had a door that joins two rooms and thank god I had put the lock chain cause the person in the room next to mine’s tried to open the door. I could tell it was by mistake cause he freaked out once I yelled. So, make sure that you lock all doors.

The building is old, so the concrete is not level making it difficult to clean. Consequently the dirt from the hallways tracks into the room. Furniture, towels, tv, and bedding were good. Wish there had been a few hangers for clothing. Pool was nice.

Pool was chilly. Bush gardens is walkable distance but just barely a van shuttle would have been amazing. Internet was ok, breakfast was ok, hotel is older but Clean which is a top priority to me. We were by the pool and saw the housekeeping actually pushing a cart full of dirty sheets because they actually change the sheets after every customer.

We had a brief overnight stay, but were pleasantly surprised by the cleanliness of the room as well as the decor and furnishings. Both the person who checked us in and the person who checked us out were friendly and efficient. The area was off a Main Street, but it was quiet. It is near Busch Gardens (which we didn’t visit.) It was a good value for a very nice room.

My only complaint is that on Hotels.com, it said the hotel was 8 miles from the airport. In actuality it is 14 miles away. We were on an early morning flight so there wasn’t any traffic to speak of, but I think you check out how long it might take later in the day.

The front office staff was wonderful, however, the lady in the breakfast area needs to have her attitude checked. I went the wrong direction for the garbage and she stated very loudly "The garbage is on the left". We stayed Fri-Mon and the breakfast on Monday there were no scrambled eggs, very little sausage and when we asked about the eggs we were told the eggs were what was "in the pan, hard boiled". When the sausage was gone on Monday, she simply picked up the pan and started cleaning everything up at 9:15am. Breakfast was supposed to be served until 10am. When you have diabetics staying there relying on food, this is unacceptable plus there were no waffles any of those days. Also, they were blowing leaves at 7:45am right outside our door.

We stayed here right before our Christmas cruise. The location is convenient, with plenty of food options nearby, as well as Dollar stores and Family Dollar for last-minute cruise purchases. The young woman at the front desk was extremely helpful—when my aunt thought she lost her bag on the hotel property, she reviewed security camera footage for over an hour from multiple angles, which helped us realize the bag was actually left down the street at Dunkin’ Donuts.

Outside of that, the hotel itself was just average. I wouldn’t call it filthy, but it was definitely not very clean. My son’s socks were dirty after walking around the room, and I personally saw two roaches. The room also had a strange odor, to the point where we had to light incense. Breakfast was okay, but on the second day the waffle maker ran out of batter.

Lastly, while the hotel is directly across the street from Busch Gardens, the park entrance is not on that side, so you’ll need a short Uber ride or about a 15-minute walk to get to the entrance.

I originally reserved three nights at the La Quinta but ended up staying only one. I checked in late and didn’t have anywhere else to go, so I stayed for the night. Unfortunately, I wasn’t pleased with the condition of the hotel. The room doors were dirty, the bathroom felt very dated, and the tub and shower was damaged. The location also wasn’t ideal.
In addition, the description on the website was somewhat misleading. The photos look nothing like the property does in person, which was very disappointing.
While I would consider staying at another La Quinta property in the future, I would not return to this particular location.
