Give this place a try!

The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was amazing. I loved the property and yes it’s not close to the old town but I didn’t mind it (10 minute car ride). Loved the pool and restaurant.

They put the air condition at 77F and they said it for them it’s good we couldn’t sleep because it’s so hot. There was no toilet paper no complimentary water. My mother got allergy from the fish she ate at the restaurant. We had to take her to the hospital. The restaurant was horrible we waited 1.5 hours for food and my mom as I said got an allergic reaction
The bath tub is very high almost impossible to get in no shower
The staff at the hotel non cooperative especially the manager I would recommend never to stay there and not to list this hotel

Not as good as it could be

This is my second stay at the hotel and I was somewhat disappointed. The hotel room looks a bit tired and I’m need of freshening up. The pool and spa also. Our room was cleaned and we had to ask for clean towel and toiletries. Staff were friendly and courteous however the hotel itself needs a little refresh.

The building is outdated, tired and due for renovation. There is no electrical outlet in the bathroom and the tub leaked so badly it flooded the floor. The onsite Romanian restaurant was very good, however. Otherwise I would have had to rate the hotel as poor.

The room was very clean, the personnel helpfull, we asked for our room to be changed as it was facing the street and the noise was bothering us and the receptionist was very kind and gave us a new room on the spot, far away from the street noise! The breakfast was delicious, with a good variety of dishes, suitable for any taste!

I am for the second time in hilton sibiu and I will come back again, for those who love the traditional Romanian food there is also a restaurant Camara Boierului near the hotel,zoogarden is oposite just 5 minute walking.

Loved the fact that they had a hair salon but shame it was closed during my stay. The food was very delicious at the Romanian restaurant, even better than at a restaurant in Old Town that we tried. Spa nice but wish it closed later (at 11pm) rather than 10pm

Tranquility on the outskirts of Sibiu

Hotel is located a bit out of town so walking into the old town is not possible but it is very near the village museum so if you are looking for tranquil location then this is ideal.

Stayed here one night before my fight out and I was unimpressed to say the least. Luxurious in the grand scheme of things I suppose with the decor throughout the halls and reception, and the staff was friendly indeed, but it totally lacked basic amenities that you hope to receive at this price per night, especially in this economy here in Sibiu. There should be no mold around the tub, lamps shouldn’t be broken and this is just what I noticed in my few hours I spent in the room. Also, it’s the 21st century so there is absolutely no reason for the wifi to be so bad I can barely check-in to my flight, at least in my room.

This hotel is ok but I expected more from the Hilton brand. The Wi-Fi was very slow in the room and staff weren't the most friendly.Felt it lacked atmosphere. Didn't feel that i got valu for money.

We have booked a room with park view and when we arrived at the hotel, they gave us a room without a balcon, but with a window with view to a wall. The staff from the reception, instead of being willing to solve, was upset that we want the booked room and even aggressive. Overall the staff from restaurant and bar, those from spa and pool were very polite.

OK hotel, but not very useful staff. Far from downtown Sibiu. Restaurants on the premise were disappointing. Room were clean and large buy the beds were small - twin beds. There were gypsy beggars walking around on the property. The swimming pool was fine and clean.

Good, but starting to look tired ...

Good rather than great place to stay. Room and en-suite looking a bit tired and could do with a re-vamp. A little bit noisy (from the corridor) also. Didn't get balcony view that was booked, but couldn't be bothered to complain! Pool and spar area reasonable, but floors very slippery. Wifi coverage very poor and slow even in parts of hotel where signal was strong.

Best hotel in Sibiu

Pleasant stay for two nights visiting from Los Angeles. Breakfast very good! Staff friendly and helpful.
If you plan a trip to the Astra Museum, nearby, ask for a horse carriage tour from hotel front. Very enjoyable!
We will visit again!

There is no next time at this hotel.

+: parking, big and clean rooms, good location, SPA
-: dinner roomservice food was cold and probably cooked a few days ago (duck brest, halibut, pastas) ; if you pay in advance also the breakfast and you want to have it in your room, you have to pay it again; only one small shower gel in the bathroom; no shoe shine sponge, no sewing kit, no pencil and paper in the room; the water is going out from under the bathtub; the toilet water was flushing continuously.

More Like 4 Stars, Not 5

More of a 4 star hotel. Luxurious compared to other hotels in the region, but it is showing its age. Peeling wallpaper, carpet stains, scuffed furniture... Also, no staff to assist with luggage. One should not have to schlep all of their bags to their rooms in a 5 star hotel unless they want to. Area was gorgeous, however, and it was nice to be away from the main part of the city in the forested area. Would stay again.

Lovely hotel with friendly staff. Yes the hotel is quite a way from town but whenever we asked reception to call a taxi it arrived within a couple of minutes and 15lei (£3) is so cheap to it didn't matter. Spa deserves a mention as its amazing. Pool also great although on our last day it did have a very strange smell to it that was a little off putting, other 3 days we were there it was fine.

Not family friendly

The hotel is clean and the room was comfortable. However, the staff was unfriendly and unaccommodating. Do not book this hotel and expect to have an enjoyable time in the pool. Elderly spa members, not even hotel guests, rule the pool and the manager supports rules such as no jumping, splashing or even kicking loudly. This was not an enjoyable hotel for my family and I would not recommend paying higher prices for such an average hotel with unfriendly staff members.

This hotel has an old world charm. The staff is competent and accomodating. The facilities are good. My room had a rather quirky shape, but it was comfortable and well appointed.
The rooms were quiet, and the restaurants had very good food options.
Overall a great stay, and I would recommend.

Please fix the Air Conditioner!

The room was very nice, and the staff friendly. However our Air Conditioner would not work. The staff said 'oh yes, it's working', and left without repairing the AC. So, it was a rather warm nights stay. Overall, a very nice place. Be prepared to be warm if your stay is in the summer.

Good location and relaxing atmoshere

We stayed here on a road trip through Romania staying for a couple of nights to see the local sights and be close enough for a day trip to drive the Transfagarassen Highway. The hotel was a little outside the city, opposite the zoo (which is worth the 3 Ron entrance fee for a quick look). The room was very clean and comfortable, although the A/C struggled to keep the cooler temp we wanted. There is a nice hotel bar where you can get drinks and food in a relaxed atmosphere. The Spa facilities and pool were very good and reasonable prices (good after a day on the road). The only disappointment was the quality of the food in the restaurant which was ok, but not up to advertised standards for the price - suggest you find a local place for evening meal. All in all an enjoyable stay in a quality clean hotel, reasonably priced compared to European standards.

The air conditioning might as well not worked (very little cold air), the grout around the bath was black due to being dirty, there was very little water pressure from the shower and we had to pay for parking (the location was quite remote so makes no sense).

a quiet spot, easy to reach by car

The staff were as helpful as could be. They give the impression that they really want this hotel to succeed, and are equally passionate about tourism in Romania. The room was enormous, and the fixtures and fittings were of the highest quality. The bed was massive and super comfy, although there was a bit of corridor noise from other guests well into the night (we stayed at the weekend, though). The car park was secure and cheap, and, with our car full, put our minds at rest. Breakfast was excellent, and the French restaurant (Versailles) had some fantastic choices, although the lamb chops were disappointing.

Excellent service, food, and accommodations! The jacuzzi, saunas, and breakfast were all included in our cost which was EXTREMELY reasonable. I would recommend to anyone, yet would warn that the location is far from the main part of town (near the zoo) & not recommended for sightseeing/exploring by foot.

Comfy rooms!

The location is only good if you are driving (don't know how else you would get here), but it's right by the road which makes it a bit noisy. The room was very clean and comfortable especially the bed (which was a double rather than 2 singles put together), there was nice toiletries too. The hotel had also a pool and spa area which we enjoyed. Breakfast was fine, mainly disappointed there was no fresh juice but a horrible diluting juice. Some staff were friendly and attentive while others where dismissive and almost rude. The restaurant (The Versailles) served very nice food and the waiters were really exceptional! We would recommend this hotel and gladly stay here again.

Romantic gettaway in the lovely city of Sibiu

The hotel was excellent and we had an enjoyable stay here. I would go back just for their somptuous breakfeast that exceeded all expectations. I also recommend their spa treatment, we took the Romeo and Julliet package and were pampered royally!

This hotel is quite simply \"outstanding\" across the board. Highest quality at very low prices - exceptional value for money. From the moment I arrived the staff and management were amazing. The standard of the rooms is easily 5 star, the bar and restaurant areas are first class - faultless and the quality of food and service perfect. I cannot thank the management and staff enough for their service and kindness. On another note if you happen to be in Sibiu, Romania to cross the Transfagarasan - made famous as the worlds best road by Top Gear (as I was) or the Transalpina... Then you will not find a better hotel in terms of value, quality and LOCATION - it's only 25 minutes from The Northern (best route) on to the Transfagarasan. This Hotel is so good I'm going back in 2 weeks... Very glad I found the Sibiu Hilton and very pleased to recommend it 100%!

EXCEPTIONAL...Time and time again....

This is our 5th trip to the Hilton Sibiu. It is exceptional in every way. We are used to seeing nice places in Romania go down hill quick. Hilton Sibiu has maintained and even exceed all prior expectations. We upgraded to the Executive floor and found this to be a great choice. The lounge is very well tended and the staff there is truly great. The rooms are what you would expect from the Hilton brand. The sheets, carpet and bathroom decor show no wear and tear. It is amazing how they maintain such a high standard. Breakfast is plentiful and has something for everyone. The spa is very relaxing and is always nice to enjoy after exploring the beauty of Sibiu. The hotel is located on the outskirts of Sibiu just across the street from the wonderful Astra museum and Dumbrava Rosie forest. There is also a beautiful view of the mountains from the rooms facing the back of the hotel. If you are a tourist to Sibiu or a romanian national alike....this is the ONLY choice for Sibiu.

Fantastic Hotel

We stayed at the Hilton Sibiu for 5 nights during the International Theatre Festival (if you haven't been go, it's a fantastic fesitval). The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was large and very comfortable, we also had breakfast included which had plenty of choice for all tastes. It is a little out of the way of Sibiu, about 10 minutes in a taxi, but a minor inconvenience really. Overall I'd highly recommend a stay at this hotel. Thank you to all the staff for making our stay such a comfortable one.

The Hilton in Sibiu is a short taxi ride from the airport which was why we chose it a we were arriving late and leaving on an early flight two days later. The hotel is very well appointed and the rooms are very spacious with a vast king sized bed.
The spa facilities are excellent and the staff are extremely helpful.
The food in the main restaurant was good without being exceptional, some of the translations are a little misleading - smoked salmon was a hot, grilled steak rather than cold slivers!
The hotel also then arranged a free transfer back to the airport at 4.45 in the morning.
Generally a very good hotel which I would thoroughly recommend.
