They gave me bad room and not comfortable in the beginning and I asked to change it
They were not honest with me when they told me all the room same thing
When I check in first time it was Arabic guy in the reception
He did his job in very professional
And gave me good room with explanations of the roles
Next time the recpcion stuff was not good and not honest I have to ask for change room twice

Clean room, small but functional and good price. Hotel is in good location, close to the local food courts and restaurants. In the particular room I stayed, the plastic floor is coming loose and that was bothersome, but the view of city make it up for it!

Oasis hotel was great. Located across from a street market and main road. Easy to call a cab or walk across the street to get food. The hotel was clean, stocked, and everything was functional. Mina at the front desk was very helpful. Actually, all the staff were very helpful. I did not have a car, so did not use parking, but there was a lot in the hotel rear with many spaces. I would stay here again.

Right in the centre of town and across the road from the main souk. Great Indian Breakfast and awesome service and Biriyani at the Tipu Sultan Restaurant inside hotel. Metered cab to airport will cost 5 KWD, or hotel will arrange for 6. Close to a major bus stop also.

Okay for a 12-hour layover

If you are in Kuwait for transit day visa, this hotel/motel will work.
Was only in the city for about 12 hours and since the airport does not have luggage storage, decided to rent a room in Oasis for the day.

Nothing like what the photos show on Hotels.com.
Staff is not that helpful.
Bedrooms are old, no modern updates at all.

Not an enjoyable stay

The hotel was going under extensive facelift, during my 3 day stay they changed the carpet, re papering the walls and were fixing the lifts. The whole place stunk of gasoline or whatever they used to fix the carpet and I was disappointed with the noise so overall it was not as enjoyable as my previous stay.

The hotel management did not apologize or offset these problems but just ignored it and there was a lack of customer care missing in all.

Best moderate hotel I've ever stayed in!

In a moderate hotel rated not to be luxurious, this is the best one I've ever stayed in since I started traveling at the age of 23 years. The staff was very helpful in everything I requested, etc. Have never met a more friendly staff! It was also an experience to get a box of chocolates on our last night at the hotel.

Great hotel, can walk to cultural epicenter

Brand new down comforters very comfy bed, room smelled fresh not musty, I checked in late at night and staff couldn't find my reservation but accommodated me anyway without hassle. The view from rooms is top notch and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Great value for the price.

Good staff and nice breakfast but old and noisy

Good sides: Hotel staffs are friendly. The breakfast is located at the 10th floor with nice traditional Indian decoration.

Bad sides: It appears that the hotel does not classify non-smoking and smoking rooms. I have changed two rooms and both have a strong smell of smoking although I ask for non-smoking rooms. Many guests smoke and chat at the hallway until very late. During my stay, the smoking alarm was activated several times. The hotel is facing a busy street intersection. So, there are a lot of noise from the hallway and the street. The windows are dirty.

Finally, there is a big construction besides the hotel. So, the hotel entrance is not easy to be noticed and there are a lot of trash besides the back door of the hotel.

I am really disappointed about hotel service, furniture and extremely uncomforting bed. I would give it less one star if there is class less than that. Also very limited car parking, noise, no shuttle service and taxi they order charge three times compared to the street taxi.

Clean enough hotel sandwiched between a building under construction. Emailed hotel for pickup at the airport and it never arrived, so took an airport taxi for 8 KD. Decent Indian restaurant onsite. Comfy bed with warm shower. Nothing bad but nothing great about this hotel.

Next to a construction site

The hotel is located next to a building site. This means that the rooms giving to the back are incredibly noisy. Incredibly the construction is happening at night, so you get strong noise during the night. One night it lasted all night so I couldn't sleep at all. I asked the reception to move me to another room facing the front (where there is traffic) and they did and that was much better.

The best thing about the Oasis is that the staff are really wanting to help and are service minded. Aside from this there are a number of things that could be improved. A loud alarm buzzer sounding for no apparent reason in the night and in the morning at unpredictable times, which doesn't help to sleep. Size of room is quite good and bed comfortable. Furniture and facilities are rather run-down and could use a renovation. However for Kuwait the price is a budget price, so no reason to complain. If you want a five star you pay a bit more in Kuwait.

The worst experience

There was a bugs on the pelow, and then I found a died insects (they called it flies,, it was really strang flies for me) under the bed. The table in the resturant at the breakfast were nit clean at all,, even the plates,, it was the worst experience I have ever had.

Very simple and basic, but good value if you are not looking for the luxuries. Location is right downtown, but really nothing but businesses around, few restaurants, and everything closes early. If looking for things to do stay elsewhere. Good hotel for an overnight transit

The Oasis is an ideally located hotel in the CBD of Kuwait City. Within easy walking distance of some good restaurants and shopping. It is an older hotel, that has lost much of its shine. The rooms are similar in size to the Ibis chain, but not on the same level of quality - chipped paint, cracked marble floor, old carpet, dated wooden panel and bed frame, dingy walls and curtains. I believe it is clean, as the staff is very kind and attentive, however, it doesn't 'feel' clean because of its age. If you need a bed and a shower, the Oasis is enough.

Wifi in the hotel does not work on Macs and when you are on a business trip that can be an enormous inconvenience, especially in the evenings. The hotel was overpriced for its offer. It needs a serious coat of paint and some refurbishing. The cleaning staff had left garbage from the previous guest in the bathroom. The hotel smelled strongly throughout of Indian food. All this said, the bed was very comfortable, the staff was pleasant and the location was known and central. Potentially an acceptable stay for PC users.

Lot's of positives only a couple of negatives

The hotel does have a great location, across the street from the souk.. Also when you leave the hotel and turn rght the Grand Mosque is just down the street and to left of the mosque is the National Musuem and Sadu House.

Bring a map with detailed landmark locations since the one provided by the hotel was not exact.

The hotel is Indian owned and run by Indian nationals. The breakfast is a mix of Indian/Middle Eastern/European breakfast.....which was actually really good. There was more than enough to choose from and if anyone from another review complained about the breakfast, don't listen to them, we were pleasantly surprised.

The hotel does look a bit shabby but I can tell you the room was clean, the bathroom was spotlless, the beds sheets were perfectly white, towels were white and fluffy. I wouldn't exagerate, I travel alot and this review is very recent and honest.

The price is great !!!!!
The breakfast is great !!!!

I would definitely stay again.

Simple hotel in centre of Kuwait City

This is a simple hotel in the center of the city. It's great for an overnight stay as it is conveniently located, however there is not much to do in this part of the city in the evening. Wifi available everywhere and the service is very good. Rooms are clean but nothing fancy. Would recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a budget accommodation.

Dirty old and a mess

This hotel is nothing like the pictures on the Website.

Was met @ the Airport by a driver the cost was 4 KD to be driven to the hotel. We then made 2 stops along the way to pick up workers along the side of the road.

Arrived @ the hotel there were piles of garbage outsude the entrance.

Carpet inthe room was stained and very old had to wear flip flops for sure.

Shower had mold in bath tub.

Overall this is a very run down hotel. So do not expect much at all.

The Hotel was situated in the middle of everything shopping, food, and relaxing. The staff were helpful from the point of arrival to leaving. Room service is great, and the staff was always helpful and ready to assist you.
