The stay was very nice. We often stay with Valamar Properties. I wish that in the dining room there would be improved labeling of food for food allergies as my child has life threatening allergies to nuts. The staff also was unsure of some ingredients.
Also a better hair dryer would be appreciated.

This was a great place to stay. We had a room that faced the water with a balcony and an incredible view. Breakfast included every morning was excellent and top notch with everything you could want to start your day!! The one negative was the oudoor seating below was disturbing when they started to arrange/drag the chairs every morning at 6am, even one night at 3am, which I had to ask them to stop!! Ridiculous!! Really enjoyed Porec!! Would visit again!!

We only spent one night here, but loved every minute of it. The staff was so helpful and welcoming. We didn’t realize that a champagne apertivo, breakfast, and brunch was included, which was a wonderful surprise. There are many excellent dining and wine options within easy walking distance. We highly recommend this hotel resort as an option for a stay in Porec.

Wow did this place blow our expectations out of the water in such a great way! Wow wow wow!! We missed breakfast to catch a ferry to Venice and they pre packed a breakfast for us! They went above and beyond even when we didn’t ask. Super clean. Nice heat lamps in the bathroom and all the little extras to make you feel like you are being spoiled. 10 out of 10!!!

We were very impressed wirh our Junior suite. Excellent views, great air conditioning, clean linen and bathroom - very comfortable stay. The additional perks of free happy hour, breakfast and brunch is real value for money.

Fantastic location on the harbour front and near to shops, restaurants and tour boats. Shuttle bus from the off-site parking to the hotel was extremely smooth (only a couple of minutes for the journey and shuttle works on demand). Toiletries include moisturiser which is always helpful. Breakfast is out of this world - befitting of a UK 5-star hotel; oysters and champagne were among the choices one morning. Loved the free brunch with prosecco! Can't recommend this hotel enough.

The room was in an adjacent building they converted as part of the hotel. The room and the bathroom were clean and modern. However, if you’re in this building there’s no elevator. The main hotel next door has a restaurant with the complimentary breakfast with a lot of variety and includes an omelette counter. There’s also a dinner buffet at 70kn pp. On the flip side their parking situation isn’t ideal and it’s not explained clearly. If you drive to the hotel you’ll not be able to park. There’s a separate parking lot a mile away from where you’ll have to take a shuttle to the property

We stayed in the annex. Room was huge with great bed and view. Use of the Valamar facilities on the island was great. However the annex is next door to an outdoor club that played loud music until late at night. Our room overlooked the club and sleeping with the loud music was impossible. We also were not told that we could not get to the property by car. The road is restricted. We had to park about a mile from the hotel and take a shuttle bus. There was NO information on Expedia explaining this. We had to struggle to figure it out on our own. It was very frustrating in a foreign country.

It was a nice surprise that we had access to the sister resort on an island a quick and free boat ride away. They have restaurants, a sand beach pool and rocky beaches. The room was very, very large and the breakfast had lots of variety and ok quality. Would recommend a stay there if you are looking to go to the pool and beach.

On the harbour and a total surprise of modernity both the restaurants along the harbour and the hotel.
Great if you are catching the ferry from Venice, as we were, fall of the ferry & cross the road.

the location is outstanding, and the one bedroom suite was clean and comfortable with a fabulous view from the balcony! we stayed in charming Porec for a day/night prior to taking the ferry to Venice. upon arriving at the hotel, we were pleasantly surprised to receive vouchers for a quick boat ride to the nearby private island as well as vouchers for towels at the private swimming areas - such a treat! also, the breakfast buffet in the morning was one of the best we have experienced! would definitely recommend staying at this property!!

We chose the Riviera Hotel for a single night on our way out of Istria to Venice. We didn't know what to expect of Porec or of the hotel entirely, and we were very pleasantly surprised on both accounts! Check in was a breeze and they were even able to accommodate our early check in (which we did NOT expect) which made it even better. The room exceeded expectations in every way - it was incredibly spacious with great amenities and amazing corner room view of the sea. Location is spot on - you can easily walk around the water front, and have a number of excellent restaurants within a minute's walk. The old town is nearby and is incredibly charming. We liked it just as much as Rovinj (if not more in some ways!), and found many great places for a drink and a bite (don't miss Bacchus for wine). All around, exceptional stay and friendly, efficient service - we just wish we'd stayed longer!

Booked 2 nights originally but added a third. The hotel is on the peninsula of the old town. Staff are friendly and helpful. Was my partners Birthday during our stay hotel staff noticed this and sent a complementary fruit plate to room. Sister hotel is on an island 1km out in the bay free ferry shuttle to this island which is beautiful and plenty of quiet area to enjoy the sun, swim and also good restaurant facility. Only down side was pillows were very very soft which I find uncomfortable but that's just a personal choice, bed extremely comfortable.

One night stay in Porec before taking ferry to Venice. Hotel in lovely, busy area, right on water and in center of town. Lobby and room very attractive and helpful staff who made us a dinner reservation in town. However, the room was so hot and this was only May. Couldn't open window due to outside noise of busy street. We called to complain about air conditioning not working, they told us what to do but it still didn't work and we sweated all night. Our most uncomfortable night of 10 day trip in Europe.

The Valamar Riviera Hotel offers a superb location right on the waterfront and next to many restaurants and bars. We were greeted by the friendly staff who facilitated a very smooth and pleasant check-in. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable and met (or even exceeded) our expectations.

The breakfast buffet was delightful and included fresh breads, cold cuts, fruit, cereal, eggs, sausages, juice, yogurt, etc.

Our only wish is that we could have stayed longer!

The old city of Porec is well worth a couple of days of wandering around, and the hotel will shuttle you out to their sister resort on the island so that you can enjoy the nice beach and lovely pool. Watch out though--the water taxi is free only during certain hours; otherwise you will pay 50 Kuna to get back. Or you can take the free passenger boat down the way. The water in the Adriatic was chilly in late June. The Valamar Riviera has a friendly staff, eager to please, and their restaurant is very good, comparable to Saint Nicholas down the street. Breakfast is quite good and you can order an omelette.

In the midst of it all!

I chose the Valamar Riviera due to its location, and it was even better than anticipated!! We stayed twice, one night each time, as a location in Porec arriving on the ferry (initial night) from Venice. The the next morning we rented a car for a few nights; the rental office was just two blocks away. Upon turning in the rental car, stayed the second night for the return ferry early the next morning. The ferry pier is just outside the hotel, a few doors down. The unexpected is that this is part of a chain of resorts and we were allowed to board the resort's own boat to the beach on their private island!! Porec was full of life in the evenings when the coolness made strolling the alleyways in the town a fulfilling experience. Impeccably clean and up to date décor and facilities (both rooms). You do not need a car if staying at this location; it would be a burden.

The best location, amenities, price, and people!

My friends and I went to wakeboard at Ski Lift Porec (don't judge us, we travel frequently) and were disappointed the property near the lift was booked. As our alternative the Riviera was exceptional in every way, especially the staff. One hidden surprise was access to a private islands beaches. Locvated in the heart of clubs, shopping, and restauraunts; the rooms on the city side are larger and quieter than those facing the water. Breakfast is well done except for flavorless pancakes and horrible luke warm coffee. There is a patio in front that manages an intimate and serene atmosphere despite the insanity of the clubs and shopping only meters away. I hope this helps and will definately go back. If you have time make the 4 hour trip to Lake Plitvice. It made Kauai look silly.

at very short notice we found and booked this hotel and we cannot fault our stay. from the moment we arrived the staff we met were friendly and helpful. we were on our way from Croatia to Venice and when we could nt get on a ferry as it was fully booked - Marina in reception organised very quickly a taxi to take us to Trieste to get a train from there to Venice. it was my husbands birthday and the hotel totally spoilt him. We really did have a couple of wonderful nights here and totally recommend it. Thank you

This is a review for accommodation at 2+1 Seaview Villa Giulietta. Every evening and night was ruined by the fact that right outside the window there is a bar that plays loud music until 02:00 at night! We had paid a lot of money to stay in a nice accommodation, but this was terrible! We could not be in our room in the evening and not sleep until after 02:00... So it was a waste of money. We tried to change rooms but we were only offered a room in the same building two floors up that did not even have windows... Too bad, because the hotel was otherwise good. Seaview over the harbor, with a balcony (which we could not use because of the bar right outside) There was a good breakfast, brunch and free champagne in the afternoon. The hotel was clean and the room was nice in modern design. But our stay was ruined by the loud music from the bar in the evening and night...

Wir hatten das Riviera mehr zufällig aus dem Angebot bei Hotels.com ausgewählt, weil es uns irgendwie angesprochen hat. Was wir bekommen haben kann man nur als fantastisch beschreiben. Frühstück/Brunch mit sehr reichhaltigem Buffet bis 13h, perfekter und nicht überfüllter Strand mit gratis Transfer und Liegeplatz, zentrale Lage in der Altstadt von Porec, jederzeit hilfsbereites und freundliches Personal, superbequeme Betten und vieles mehr. Einzige Abstriche sind das Klimaaggregat direkt unter unserem Fenster und die etwas engen Platzverhältnisse beim nutzen der Schlafcouch. Ansonsten traumhaft und jederzeit wieder.

Hotellet har god beliggenhet og har transport til øy utenfor. Dette er flott!
Frokosten er god!
Rommene har god utsikt, men vær oppmerksom da du booker at bildene ikke alltid passer med romtype.
Et rom med havutsikt kan ha kun et lite vindu, mens andre har to vinduer og en annen type rom har to vinduer fra tak til gulv. Disse rommene koster det samme, så her må man passe på.
Vi ble skuffet over dette, og fikk hjelp til å bytte rom etter en natt. Dessverre ble det ikke rommene med best utsikt.
Hotellet burde dele disse rommene i flere kategorier, slik at folk vet hva slags rom de får.

Séjour insolite dans une suite/discothèque

Séjour d une nuit à mi septembre avec ma soeur. Dès l arrivée on nous annonce que cette dernière dormira dans l hôtel et moi dans la villa Nicoletta. Une residence située à 3 minutes et surclassée par une suite alors que sur ma réservation nous avions eu confirmation pour ma demande. A savoir 2 chambres identiques !!!!
Si cela vous arrive allez verifier l emplacement de cette suite. 2 de mes fenêtres étaient à 1 mètre.....oui vous ne rêvez pas..... d une discothèque en plein air avec techno depuis 22h à 02h. Je pouvais les rejoindre juste en passant par la fenêtre. Pas digne de la part d un hôtel.
Le personnel et l accueil à la réception aurait pu être plus professionnel et accueillant. Sinon l emplacement était top.

Die Lage ist auch Top und der Transfer mit dem Parkservice gut und unkompliziert. Die Möglichkeit mit dem kleinen Dampfer auf die Insel als inklusive Leistung rundet das Paket super ab!

Die Lage ist eigentlich genial wenn man dafür in Kauf nimmt das bis morgens um 3.00 Uhr der Krach bzw. die schlechte Musik aus der sich im Erdgeschoss befindlichen Bar einen nicht schlafen läßt.Der Ausblick auf dem Hafen ist toll allerdings begrüßt auch morgens einen die Fähre beim Auslaufen nach Venedig mit ihren Hörnern.
Der Parkplatz ist zu Fuß 20 Minuten entfernt dafür preiswert.Das Hotel bietet ein geniales Frühstück an das nahtlos ab 11.00 in einen Brunch übergeht der keine Wünsche offen lässt.Die fast tägliche Fahrt zum Pool auf der Insel macht Spaß,wir haben gegen Mittag auch immer noch drei Liegen erwischt.Wir sind am einen Samstag nach Hause gefahren und haben bis Salzburg 13 Stunden gebraucht!! Man sollte in der Urlaubssaison besser die Heimfahrt über Italien antreten und den Karawankentunnel meiden.

Wir waren nun bereits das dritte mal im Riviera, weil wir die Nähe zur Altstadt mit ihren Restaurants und Bars sehr schätzen. Die Zimmer mit Balkon im Riviera sind eher klein, aber für einen Kurzaufenthalt durchaus in Ordnung und vor allem sauber. Das Hotelpersonal ist überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstücksbuffet bietet eine grosse Auswahl und der Kaffee wird frisch serviert.
Zum Schwimmen wird man auf die vorgelagerte Insel mit einem Shuttleboot kostenlos gefahren. Dort kann man die Annehmlichkeiten
des Valamar Isabella genießen. (Liegestühle, Pool, Grillbar...)

Flott hotell med hyggelig betjening. Vi fikk et stort rom med havutsikt og det var rent og pent. Frokost med god utvalg av alt man kunne ha lyst på. Ekstra bra var fri tilgangen til øya rett utenfor Porec havn, hvor det var flott å bade.

Das Valamar Riviera ist eine Top-Unterkunft in Porec. Direkt in der Altstadt/am Hafen gelegen. Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer mit Balkon und Meerblick. Was besonders beeindruckte, war die Schalldämmung der Balkontür - absolute Stille, obwohl sich da an der Hafenmole einiges tut. Auch die Verdunkelung mittels lichtdichtem Vorhand ist perfekt. Das Zimmer und Bad ist für ein Superior zwar etwas klein, aber ausreichend.
Besonders beeindruckend war auch der Verpflegungsservice: Frühstück bis 11.00 Uhr, von 11.00 bis 13.00 Uhr Brunch (haben wir zwar nicht genutzt weil das Frühstück mehr als ausreichend und sehr vielfältig war - besonders das kalte Fleisch und Wurstbuffet mit lokalen Leckereien, Prsut, Beinschinken, Salami etc., etc.) und von 17.00-18.00 Uhr nochmal Prosecco und kleine Häppchen. Alles im Preis inbegriffen.
Service und Freundlichkeit des Personals, von Rezeption über Restaurant bis hin zum Zimmerservice: erstklassig. Sehr gefallen hat uns auch die Verfügbarkeit des Hotelstrands auf der gegenüberliegenden Insel - die dortigen Anlagen gehören ebenfalls zur Valamar-Kette - mit gratis Boottransfer und Handtuchservice.
Alles in allem: sehr zu empfehlen.

Direct aan de autovrije kade en haven en centrum van Porec. Vriendelijk personeel. Gratis ontbijt en brunch. Raar: dagelijks prosecco gratis bij zowel ontbijt en brunch maar een vers sapje of smoothie is dan weer niet gratis. Duurde aantal dagen voordat mijn klachten (4x) over de niet koelende airco werd opgelost door uiteindelijk verschil aan te tonen met de andere kamer, (namelijk 2 kamers voor 3 weken): wel wat kleinere kamer maar uiteindelijk wel met prima airco.

Sehr schönes Hotel mit toller Lage

Wir hatten ein Balkonzimmer, welches einen herrlichen Ausblick über den Hafen und die Promenade bietet. Leider sind diese etwas kleiner, aber für 2 Personen trotzdem ausreichend, da es genügend Stauräume für Koffer und Bekleidung gibt. Der Shuttleservice zur Badeinsel funktioniert perfekt und man findet dort ausreichend Liegestühle und Platz. Die Nähe zur Altstadt und den Restaurants ist ganz toll.

Super sauber, Covid-19 Vorkehrungen top umgesetzt und aufbereitet. Zimmer wird erst gereinigt wenn dies gewünscht wird, auch aus ökologischer Sicht ein tolles Konzept unserer Meinung nach!
Frühstücksbuffet hervorragend mit einer tollen Auswahl - ab 11.00 Uhr wird auf warmes Brunchbuffet gewechselt.
Shuttle per Boot auf die vorgelagerte Insel ebenso ein toller Service.
Strandtücher gibt es gegen Vorlage der erhaltenen Towelcard direkt auf der Insel dann.
Rund um ein toller Aufenthalt in Porec! :)

Hotel sul lungo mare, ztl. Bisogna lasciare l’auto nel parcheggio dell’hotel (a pagamento), a 20 minuti a piedi, e prendere la navetta. Hotel pulito e confortevole. Colazione ottima. Spiaggia attrezzata con mare stupendo nell’isola di San Nicola. Anche qui ottimo il servizio con il traghetto.

Sehr gute Lage, zentral am Wasser, leider kein Zimmer mit Meersicht.
Zimmer sauber, und gut eingerichtet. WiFi ok.
Abends etwas lauter durch die Restaurants, aber immer noch im akzeptablen Bereich.
Parkmöglichkeit nicht direkt am Hotel, aber gute Shuttle-verbindung ohne Wartezeiten.

Sehr zentrale Lage zur Altstadt und zum Hafen - in der Nebensaison von der Lautstärke der Lokale und des Lebens in der Altstadt sehr akzeptabel. Insgesamt von der Idee \"Altstadthotel (Adults only)\", Familienhotel auf der vorgelagerten Insel und 5*-Hotel ebenfalls in einem separaten Bereich der Insel gut durchdacht, ohne dabei ausgrenzend zu wirken. Eigene Strandbereiche auf der Insel für alle drei Hotels entsprechen den Bedürfnissen der jeweiligen Gäste, Pool und Gastronomie führen unterschiedliche Gästegruppierungen aber wieder zusammen.

Zentrale, daher nicht sehr ruhige Lage. Dass man in der Preisklasse in Kroatien den Parkplatz mit EURO 5/Tag extra zahlen muss, ist ebenso unverständlich wie der frühe Checkout um 10 Uhr bei Frühstück bis 11 Uhr!
Modern und gut eingerichtet - leider roch der Abfluss im Bad penetrant! - unbedingt bei Halbpension ins Valamar auf die Insel fahren.
Insgesamt den hohen Preis nicht ganz gerecht werdend - Schade
