This place is located next to some shopping the working staff were friendly
Breakfast hot bar was sub par with limited options
Had issues with the hot water in the shower maintenance came by fixed it but it never got hot enough Note met another resident staying there who had the same problem
If you have a guest come by to visit you they will charge you one hundred US per guest per visit ..this policy was never told to me at checkin
I killed two small bugs in my room
There is a small balcony but half of it is taken up by the AC unit
Rooms are dated.
Hallways have motion sense lights so when you step off the elevator it's dark till the sensor senses your movement ( not safe)
Will never stay here again I'll just pay extra and stay at the Veranda or the York Luxury suites up the road

The room was very nice and the location is great, but if you are coming to visit friends or family you might to stay someplace else. For any person who visits, they charge you $100 per person. That fee doesn’t cover your entire stay. That must be paid every time someone enters the elevator to say hello even if it’s just for 15 minutes or to help you carry something down. I had to wait over 12 hours to gain access to the balcony I paid extra for because it was locked and no one came to unlock it despite two calls to the front desk. The same was true when asking for a second blanket because the one you got was very thin. I asked twice and it never arrived. Service? Not so much. Extorting you for every possible dollar due to ridiculously high fees that they don’t tell you up front? Yep.

The apartment was very clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen. The incuded breakfast was excellent. The location was also perfect for us - next to the best mall in Medellin and to a great grocery store.

A small negative was that having that great location, there were also two busy streets by the hotel and one could hear the traffic noise late at night.

Also, though it sounds petty, a kitchen towel was not provided and one does need one in a kitchen, right? Even washing some fruit leads to the need to dry your hands.

The checkin process could be improved.

You can't get anyone visiting you...

Hotel policies are not very clear when you book. You are booking an apartment, so you expect you can have visitors at normal hours. However, you can have that if you pay hundred thousands COP$ for it, even though you have a nice living room area you can't bring a friend or family unless is part of the booking or you pay the extra fee. This is totally ridiculous!!! Overall it was not a nice experience, food also was bad.. I had a piece of plastic in my breakfast caldo!!! Definitively I will never stay in this place again, even thou is located in a nice convenient area.

Crooked. Had to pay extra tax of $85,000 pesos 1 night $85 dollars 4 nights. But I moved out of apartment after 10 plus years living in Medellín. If you paid in advance you don’t pay extra tax. Friend in hotel biz there told me I time payment. A bad guy in black suit held me and some luggage from going up to room I stayed 1 night. He wanted more tax money for the 4 nights I was to stay. He’s a liar and thief. Find another hotel. There plenty of good hotels in Medellín

The floor was never cleaned, 3 cockroaches found on the kitchen floor, garbage under the sink was not emptied and the maid did not want to change the sheets on the bed on a regular basis. The containers of liquid soap in the bathroom were empty and not refilled. Requested a room on the ultimate floor which was quiet but given a room on a lower floor with poor ac, balcony doors not working properly and very noisy even though did the booking 4 months in advance. Was eventually switched to a better room after 4 days.

Feel at home in amazing location.

Wow! This apartment hotel was beyond my expectations for its location and price! They have even a washing machine in the laundry room on top o a separate bedroom from living and dining area, ful kitchen with all equipment you need and an amazing view from your balcony with bistro table a 2 chairs. Nothing I can think of negative. Breakfast was good and hot items varies daily. Not as extravagant as ESTELLAR Mila de Oro or San Fernando Plaza but still very good to be included. I give it my highest review.

The entrance can be missed very easily. There is no sign or easy way to tell that the entrance is to the hotel, unless you're a local or you have already been there.

Other than that, the hotel is great. Super friendly and helpful staff, great quality breakfast, rooms are relatively quiet, and there is a grocery store right next door and a mall across the street.

Never again will I stay here, reception was terrible, Hidden Fees first day was 100 mil (25$) second day the fee increased to 400mil(102$) Asked why and Hendel O. the consieur got angry and very agressive, this man Hendel O. should not be in customer service. he threatened me and intemidated the women he works with. I decided to move to another hotel, there is no refund of your money, but my safety and enjoyment of vacation is important. This hotel was nice years ago but is no longer a place to stay, A thug at the reception desk is unacceptable. If you want to give Hendel more money everyday this is the place for you. beggars surround the hotel its a bit of a downer, thats medellin now, but the people that hate north americans such as hendel we do not have to tolerate. Avoid this hotel

In the era of modern hospitality, Estelar Apartamentos in Medellín serves as a stark reminder of how not to run an establishment. As one steps into the purported sanctuary they've chosen to call their temporary home, the absence of air conditioning hits with an oppressive warmth reminiscent of a summer's afternoon without reprieve. A week—that's how long it took for this essential amenity to be restored. One might wonder if they've time-traveled to an era where such conveniences were novelties.
No hot water compounds the discomfort. It's a jarring realization in the morning when one expects a warm embrace but is greeted instead by an icy slap, stripping away any illusions of relaxation.
Yet, the true masterclass in anxiety is presented by the patio door. Without a lock, it becomes a gateway to unwanted guests from neighboring apartments—a glaring oversight in an age where security should be paramount.
The room's closet, ostensibly a space for guests to store their belongings, mirrors the dysfunction of the apartment—it’s broken. The lights, or lack thereof, punctuate the space with patches of darkness, serving as poetic metaphors for the management's attention to detail.
Attempts to reach out for help are met with either a haunting silence on the phone or an empty front desk—a Houdini act that the staff seems to have perfected. When they do grace guests with their presence, the lack of professional training is glaringly apparent. It offers an education in inhospitality.

Close to two popular shopping malls and a 24 hour grocery nearby. Free buffet breakfast daily but very limited lunch menu Monday to Friday. No room service from the restaurant which is not open for dinner. However there are a lot of restaurants nearby and also in the malls. Would definitely recommend staying there.

Excellent location. I stayed at this property twice before and was very pleased. This third time I was very disappointed with the treatment of my female guests. They charge for anyone who visits claiming that people bring prostitutes there. I informed them that I invited a friend for dinner. They called up to the apartment while I was having dinner to request that I pay the money because my guest had already stayed over 15 minutes. I had a friend come to pick me up and they charged just for her to come meet me in the apartment. Very unprofessional and it impacted my vacation. I paid a lot for the stay, always tipped the maid service and the server at breakfast and then had to be told that I must pay if anyone visits for 10 to 15 minutes and even for 1 minute if after 9pm. Consumer beware of this policy that they claimed started November 2022.

The location of this property is very close to two malls and a 24 hour supermarket.

Cov19 has changed the operations such a the breakfast it is still satisfactory but bot great, very little of the staff speak a language other than Spanish, lost internet and water to my apartment roughly 8 hours, inconvenient but not terrible I wish I could have had a warning. Overall it was a good experience and a great location.

The location is great. The staff is very nice. The apartments have deteriorated since I was last there. The bathrooms used to be terrific, but they have cut the vanities off so that there is just a sink and no counter space any more. There are also no more sundries i.e. shampoo, lotion or mouth wash and no wash clothes. There is a big open space where the vanities used to be. They have now put in handicap bars and emergency call buttons. Are they turning this into a rehab center? The kitchen amenities are in poor condition and the floor is badly worn and needs to be replaced.

Location is wonderful. Close to two shopping malls and many restaurants around. Safe and easy to walk. Supermarket close to hotel.
Staff very friendly.
My only disappointment was about the air conditioner not being repaired promptly. We had to move to another room after the second day of our stay.
