Hotel Portales del Campestre maravilloso lugar.

La estancia por una semana fue exquisita, maravilloso trato, el personal muy afable, especialmente el mesero, todo muy limpio, encantador lugar, pero no se les ocurra pedir nada del Minibar,es extremadamente caro rozando la ridiculez, abusivo los precios.

I liked that it was in a quiet neighborhood. There is also a wonderful cafe bistro close by. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious as well. Would definitely stay here again.

This place isn’t what it’s described as. From the outside it looked okay but once we were ready to check in we had to wait until after 3pm. The room was horrible terrible smell the sheets old and furniture musty we reserved a room with two beds instead they fixed a sofa bed and after it was changed by a single bed with a metal dangerous frame. The receptionist couldn’t refund or or relocate the us we couldn’t stay the room smell was so bad we got nausea. At the end we left and had to find another place to stay with since neither the hotel or the application could assist us. My mom is 65 years old and we were basically left in the street while it rained.

Horrible experience. I paid for a room with air conditioning, minibar, full refrigerator in a one story hotel. When I arrived, I was placed in a room with no air-conditioning, no minibar, no full size refrigerator, had to go down the stairs with luggage, and theyvadvised mento open the barless window and use the fan. They moved mento another room the next day but the owner refused to reimburse me for their false advertising and screw up. It doesn't matter if the hotelnis $30 or $400 a night. You provide what the customer pays for! Waste of a hotel!!!

Ok. But needs to work on things

Not a bad hotel, but it needs a little upkeep. Starting to look run down. Also, too easy to hear all the other guests. 6am and other guests are knocking on each others doors and talking loudly in halls. Then when it was time for breakfast there is nowhere to sit for a long time

FIRST I THOUGHT THIS WAS A PERFECT STAY . AC WORKED PERFECTLY, IT WAS CLEAN THEY GAVE US EXTRA TOWELS EVERYONE WAS NICE AND WELCOMING I FELT SAFE. FAMILY ROOMS WERE AVAILABLE AND THERE WERE ALOT OF EUROPEAN FAMILIES STAYING THERE. AS I WAS WITH MY COUSINS ALL GIRLS CELEBRATING 30TH BIRTHDAY. POOL WAS REALLY NICE TOO.

The Best People

All the staff is wonderful, starting from the manager who help us in different ways. One of them was he was in charge to send some flowers to my aunt. The other way he help us was because we do not know the vicinity and we need to find a barber shop he told us were are some of them, so that's the best people.

Peace, quiet, comfort, and wonderful staff.

I cannot say enough about my recent stay. My room was quiet, clean, cozy, and peaceful which gave me a very comforting rest. The hotel grounds and common areas were clean, well appointed, and very inviting. I love the setting. Eventhough I was in the city, it did not feel like it. I felt like I was staying in a luxury hotel in the countryside. The staff were incredible and so helpful and generous of their time. The manager is a very fine man, too. I love this place. I could make it my home away from home.

This is a very good hotel, very basic though...
The breakfast was cooked at the moment, which was very cool and food was fresh...
Pool is very small
People are very kind and nice.
Room and facilities are basic but just to get a good night of sleep, it is good and not that expensive!
Very quiet neighborhood, nightlife is not the main dish there, but for night life (parque lleras) you can call a uber or a taxi cab that it will cost you between 5000 and 10000 pesos, which is about $3-5 dollars.
it is located at around 45 minutes from the airport.

Had a good experience there. I only stayed for one night but it was nice and clean!

This is not a 3 star hotel.

The first room was moldy. The second room was right next to the reception area with all the accompaning noise. The light in the bathroom didn't work and instead of fixing it they brought us a desk lamp to put in the bathroom. No place apart from the bed to work on laptop. Bad experience.

The staff were fantastic, most of them speaking English very well. This is a small hotel, with a nice pool that is well kept. The individualized breakfast was small but delicious, especially with the fresh-squeezed orange juice. I prefer the individually cooked breakfast to a buffet as everything was always fresh. The toast could have been more \"toasted\". Room was clean, but they did put us in a large family room the first night that was in the front, noisy because it is beside the front desk, and very warm in the morning from a.m. sun. No a/c, but fans provided (no ceiling fans). View from our second room was fantastic over the mountains (in the back of the hotel). Again, staff were very helpful in every detail.

Hotel is situated in a neighborhood away from main street about a mile away from Santa Fe Mall. Neighborhood is quite and feels safe. Hotel is slightly renovated but can’t escape time. Moderately old and walls are incredibly thin. Had difficulty sleeping till 1am cause kids were in the hall way talking normally but sounded as if they were in my room. Staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.

Lovely property but in a neighbourhood not close to anything without taking a cab. Nearest attraction some upscale malls. Staff had difficulty with English. No information about dining, drink options, hit and miss to find appropriate staff. No safes, no a/c. Bed very hard, room quite sterile but large. Only 1 towel upon arrival, no glasses, no shampoo , no soap. Pool not heated. Charged extras upon check out but never received itemized account (technical difficulties). Flaky wi-fi, very frustrating. Breakfast menu choices limited unless you speak Spanish, some people got different things not on menu.

My wife and kids loved this cozy hotel. Room was large enough for us. Breakfast is very complete, it's not a buffet, however waiter brings a lot of options such as fruits, corn flakes, sandwiches, eggs, arepas, juices and hot chocolate, you just have to make your choices. Staff was very nice and make us feel as a family...almost everybody knows my name because it's a small hotel. It's a walking distance to Santa Fe Mall and Hard Rock Cafe (2 blocks). Nearest Metro station is Aguacatala ( Walking 8 blocks) or Taxi 5,000 pesos (USD $2.50). WiFi free, signal is stronger in the pool area.

Nice budget place

This small hotel set in a quiet residential neighborhood was fine for our budget needs. It's no great luxury hotel,that's for sure! But it was very quiet generally due to its location, however, and we heard all the TV programs from our neighboring rooms - THIN walls! The shower was huge, the room clean, although the bed was a bit hard for our tastes. It is a medium walk to a large shopping mall (Santa Fe Mall) and a few restaurants along the Golden Mile (Poblado Ave.). It was a bit far from the Zona Rosa and Parque Lleras area so we had to take a taxi. Taxis found it VERY difficult to find, even when I gave them the exact address and described the location. I'm not sure where the nearest metro station was, but it would have been a bit of a walk. The breakfast each day was great and the service was outstanding (at breakfast). The second day we were there, the front desk girl told us that she still needed to charge us for a second person! but I had my receipt with me that clearly indicated I'd paid for two people and when we checked out, there was no mention of this. We had a little fridge filled with water, juices, and beer. The water was inexpensive (as is not often the case in hotel mini-bars!). We loved the low cost, but it was a bit inconvenient for us.

Home away from home... in Medellin

Arriving at Hotel Portal Del Campestre is refreshing. The structure is beautifully designed, painted and cared for. The reception personnel are extremely friendly and helpful.They do their very best to understand the guests'needs and wants and go out of their way to make you feel so very welcome.

The rooms are very clean and comfortable. All rooms come equipped with a flat TV screen and there is Wi-Fi all throughout the complex. The signal is stronger in some places than other, but generally I had connectivity everywhere.

The bathrooms are adequate and there is plenty of hot water for all guest regardless of how busy it is. There are no air conditioners, but each room has a standing fan. I found that to be just about right.

The swimming pool and terrace are beautiful and is very private. Breakfast is included and is delicious. The hotel is close to everything, yet hidden. I can only say great things about my experience.

Excellent location in a quiet neighbourhood

The staff was excellent (even with limited English spoken) and facilities were comfortable. Although there is wireless access in the room it is really, really bad (cuts out every few seconds and the speed is disastrously low).

The hotel location is in an excellent location in a quiet, exclusive neighbourhood; it is near shopping centres and plazas.

Nice, small hotel in a quiet, safe, residential area. Room was large with a king bed and a futon. Bathroom was very clean and had hot water. Also had a whirlpool tub, but I didn't try it. Breakfast was fresh cooked egg dishes and good. My only complaint and knocking down a star is that in the morning there are dead insects in the hallways and in the dining room - open areas to the outside. C'mon use a broom.. Was a 10 minute, hilly walk to 2 modern shopping centers. I would stay again.

Nothing what I expected

From the time I got there late in the evening until the time I left mid morning; I felt like I was welcomed and at home. If I needed anything, the hotel staff was there to help out as best as they could. The ONLY thing I didn't like is that I couldn't pick up wi-fi in my room. I always had to step outside on the balcony or aot near the reaturant area in order to pickup wi-fi and connect with my family and friends in the U.S. The food was GREAT and I would recomment this hotel to anyone!

Good valué for money.

Stayed in a Family room. Had 3 single & double beds, was a very big room and very clean. The breakfast is nice by the pool in the morning. Quiet hotel. No bar, can't get food during the day or Night. If you want chep hotel and free breakfast great for this. No resteruant. Easy walk to some great eating spots. Metro is safe, clean and easy to use. Cost from hotel to local metro $5000 COP. Enjoyed our stay.

A peaceful place in Medellin

My wife and I slept with an open window and there was no noise at all. We woke up listening to a few birds. While having breakfast at the pool we were watching the birds and squirrels. This little hotel is a very peaceful, clean and quiet place. The next Shopping Mall and the Train Station are within walkable distance. You can reach the attractions in approx. 25 minutes by train or faster with a cab.

Pésima experiencia!

Pésima experiencia. Lo reservamos por su ubicación y particularmente porque entendimos que se trataba de un hotel boutique. Sin embargo, nos encontramos con un hotel viejo y con una habitación en muy malas condiciones. Las persianas estaba rotas, las camas sonaban, pésima iluminación, almohadas sin ningún confort y los linos con olor a viejo. Además los baños antiguos y con muy mala apariencia, el televisor viejo, etc. El precio no tiene nada que ver con la calidad del hotel. Lo único destacable fue que nos permitieron cancelar las noches adicionales que estaban reservadas con la promesa de reembolso del dinero pagado por la mismas y sin penalidad alguna.
