Hotel is lovely. Very safe and comfortable. Next to a mall as well which is handy.

Only negative was the rooms are becoming a little outdated. Furniture and TV is old and showing its age. Other than that it is very nice hotel to stay in.

The Sofitel Phnom Penh is undoubtedly a superb hotel -- the complex itself is amazing, the restaurants are first class, the rooms come complete with every amenity imaginable. The service is also outstanding. The fitness center and spa were two of the best I've ever experienced. HOWEVER, beware of any \"promotion\" they offer with \"Club Access.\" We were told upon check in that they were currently offering a special rate of $70.00 (total) for club access during our three night stay. We enjoyed the Club Access on the top floor immensely -- beautiful breakfasts, afternoon tea, and wine and hors d'oeuvres in the evenings. YET, when we checked out, they insisted that the \"promotion\" was for $70 PER NIGHT. After a heated conversation with the front desk, I spoke to a manager who took the remainder off our bill, but BEWARE of this or any \"promotion\" they offer and make sure to get everything in writing. With this exception, I would highly recommend this hotel for your stay in Phnom Penh whether for business or pleasure.

One of the most beautiful colonial properties in Phnom Penh and certainly one of the signature Sofitel properties. The event staff went over an above to arrange a last minute event outside of office hours and all staff made you feel welcome. Club lounge offers an above average food and beverage offering, especially the French wine on offer. Highly recommended.

This is a beautiful hotel. Our room was very comfortable and clean with outstanding in-room facilities. The staff in all parts of the hotel were extremely helpful; courteous and friendly and a mention must be made of the facilities and staff in the excellent club lounge especially Simon and Pheara who made our visits to the lounge most memorable. We would certainly book this hotel for any future visits to Phnom Penh.

I stayed for 5 nights. On the 3rd day, the internet was not working, citing multiple devices occupied the line, which I did not have anything online at the time. I called front desk and it got fixed in 10 minutes.
This is a warning sign (spying eyes out there). When I checked out, there was a breakfast charge to my room which I did not consume. The breakfast receipt only has my room number and did not have a name nor signature on the receipt (another breach, another warning sign). The front desk personnel did not return my pre-authorization credit card with my signature and I had to ask for it.
She made a copy of this pre-authorization slip and returned to me the original reluctantly. Three incidents tell me this hotel does NOT measure up to the 5-star it deserves.

Superb Hotel

I only had a short 1 night stay here however i found the hotel to be a typically wonderful Sofitel. Nicely decorated and in its own grounds. Rooms were specious, comfortable and very well equipped with a nice shower. The pool and gym areas were very nice and the breakfast was vast and excellent. It's location is very good in the centre of town and close to everything and it is within 2 mins walk of a large shopping mall with places to eat as well. The staff were outstanding and extremely helpful. I would have no hesitation in staying here again and would advise it as an excellent place to stay either for business or pleasure.

Spacious hotel with all the elegance that one would expect from Sofitel. Excellent selection of restaurants and various options for a coffee or drink. Good fitness area and nice size pool. Rooms are spacious and with good wifi, quiet and well presented. Hard to comment on neighbouring area as didn't spend long enough to discover but close to river district and behemoth of a casino. Certainly would recommend for business or relaxing leisure stay.

Great hotel. Very clean and nicely appointed with fantastic amenities on site (multiple restaurants, pools, bars, gym and spa). Buffet breakfast was among the best I've seen in Asian hotels. Only downside is the hotel location. It is far from all sites, including the Riverside which is where most restaurants and night life are. However, everything is a short tuk tuk ride away ($5 each direction).

The stay was wonderful. One problem. I booked a room that included a breakfast but when I arrived I was told that I didn't have breakfast paid for so I had to purchase the breakfast again. The receipt from Hotels.com shows that I ordered breakfast but the Sofitel could verify the purchase. I have every belief that I'll never see that money again but it was a significant amount.

I'd like my account to be credited the amount but the red-tape that will be set up to block me isn't worth it. If I don't get my money back I simply won't use your site again.

The hotel was such a pleasure to be in, and I have been to many 5 star hotels. It was just a delightful experience, everything was perfect, it was so nice that we almost didn't want to visit Phnom Penh and wanted to just stay in the hotel! The staff, the operation and condition of the hotel, everything was just perfect, The breakfast buffet was definitely one of the best i have ever been. They go extra mile to provide all sort of food for the buffet. The western restaurant was quite ordinary compare to the rest of the hotel and did not like to Japanese restaurant at all, not quite up to Japanese food standard. The staff, the Manager, Mr. Tras, absolutely professional, very impressed.

Very Comfortable Hotel to stay. No complain, except the outside transportation spoil the image of Hotel. Tutu - which we thought we booked through Hotel concierge should be safe. Unfortunately the driver wanted to rip us with an additional US$8.00, which total S$16.00. Of course it is lucky we are in the Hotel. And we can save the US$8.00. But the same day, we booked for a taxi to Airport, this time we had to paid additional US$5 which the total US$20. He gave us all kind of excuse like parking fee etc. It was a very bad experience on 18/10/2014 to handle all this T monster in Cambodia.

The Sofitel is a beautiful property set on a large resort about 10 mins out of town. Its a quiet place where you can get away from the traffic and the noise of Phnom Penh. My stay was great. The only problem was that there was construction going on at a new mall on the north side of the hotel (where my room was). It was a minor inconvenience, but I would avoid the north side of the hotel if you sleep late or go to bed early. Otherwise, my stay was perfect.

Perfect way to end my Cambodia Trip

Truly an exceptional way to end my visit to Cambodia. The service was excellent and can definitely cater to the more western travelers. Staff members were very accommodating in all aspects of service to not only myself, but to the guest that were visiting with me as well. If felt as though everything was on your time and terms and not theirs. Only very minor complaint was lack of fluffy towels. At least they were oversized, but GM was kind enough to reach out to me directly regarding this, so hopefully I'll have fluffy towels to look forward to on my next visit.

By far, Sofitel Phnom Penh is the best that I've stayed in Phnom Penh. I was travelling there with my bff for a 3days 2nights trip as we wanted to getaway from our city during CNY. We stayed in a Superior Room where everything looks very elegant as the flooring are based with wooden floor.

Everything here are great. I've tried the Du Forni Italian Restaurant. It's worth the price as the food was excellent and not forgetting the staffs. Each of the staffs served us with quality of a 5stars dining restaurant. The ambience at the restaurant was very romantic as the lights were dim and lighted up with some decorations light.

Besides that, we also had tea at Chocolat. We ordered an Asian 3-tier tea set from Le Bar and drank tea at Chocolat. The Asian 3-tier tea set was very worth it to try on as they served variety of \"kuihs\" which are often taken by the locals during tea time.

In Sofitel Phnom Penh, they have 2 swimming pools, one dedicated to the hotel guest and the other for the Club Members. We were recommended to go for the hotel guest pool as we'd not need to crowd with the Club Members. The pool at the hotel guest was empty but I enjoyed it after all the heat around the town and there was a mini jacuzzi too, a lil massage for us as we were very tired.

As for the transportation from the hotel, we can opt for tuk-tuk or taxis. I settled in with the tuk-tuk as it was very convenient. However the downside was you need to pay double of what others are paying. This is because the drivers assume people staying at the Sofitel Phnom Penh are loaded and hence they hiked up the price. I was told if I want the normal price, I would have to walk all the way out of the hotel. But I did not care about that, I managed to get some \"discounts\" from the drivers. I understand that they just want more for their living, but if the drivers are honest and just charge me the same price as the locals, I wouldn't mind tipping them at all.

All in all, Sofitel Phnom Penh is the best that I've stayed in Phnom Penh. Hope to be there again one day.

Fate brings me to PNH again within two weeks. the last time i was deciding over IC or Sofitel, now this time, Sofitel for sure. i stayed at the club floor room with balcony and with club lounge access. the staff recommended the club lounge and said i will like it, and in fact i love it. there you may have breakfast, tea, or night snack. refreshment soft drinks, salad or desert items are also available, all inclusive. makes it a very good choice if you plan to do some work or spending leisure time at the hotel. the club floor is recommended.

A lovely stay at a lovely hotel

Sofitel PP is a lovely hotel, definitely very new and rather empty during our stay. Staff was courteous, helpful, friendly and cheerful. The room as well as the bathroom are spacious, clean and very comfortable. During our short stay, we managed to utilise the gym and the pool, both were very pleasant. Having said that, as the hotel is located next to a construction site, so there is no view to speak of from the pool.
Some people comment that the hotel is out of the way, but given that Phnom Penh is not that big, this out-of-the-way hotel is only 10min or so away from the main sites by tuk-tuk, so not really an issue.
As breakfast was not included, we only had it at the hotel on the last day and it was fantastic - a real pity!
A very pleasant stay and highly recommended.

よいホテル

雰囲気がいいホテル。受付の方の対応も良かった。部屋も落ち着いた感じで良かった。水廻りが古さを感じる。また、トイレの作りはイマイチ。朝食は種類が多くて満足。また、利用したいと思いました。

イオンモールが近く、快適なホテル

ラウンジ付きの部屋に宿泊させて頂きました。レイトチェックアウトの希望も聞いていただき、朝食も品数が多く、快適でした。イオンモールへは徒歩2分程度であるため、立地条件も最高でした。

Good Hotel

The hotel is grand and service is good. It is only 5-mins walk to the Aeon Mall. However, the swimming pool is old and not clean. The breakfast in US$30 is a little bit expensive.
