A very pleasant hotel equipped with classic Khmer equipment, which has its own inspiration. The staff is very friendly and always wants to help you if you need anything. Breakfast is good and varied, and very good coffee. The swimming pool, gym and sauna are always inviting. The hotel bar on the 13th floor is also magical, and the bartender also prepares wonderful cocktails for you. I will very much like to return to this hotel every time I am in Phnom Penh. J.M.

The staff in particular were so helpful and friendly. Could not have asked for more from them.
The room was generously sized with good amenity. The pool area was lovely, though the water was a bit fresh if you wanted to sit and linger.
I had included buffet breakfast, which was nice and fresh.
I also requested airport pick up which cost an additional USD15.

Hotel is a complete bust. (1) Monday - Saturday there is 24 hours worth of construction right next door. (2) Internet sucks, at least in the room that I was in. (3) No hot water in the showers. I was in two different rooms, and no hot water in either. Sinks have scalding hot water though. (4) Room key did not work no less than 6-9 times in the days I was there. (5) Breakfast was mediocre, at best.

We had an overnight stay here. Hotel itself was nice, in a good location with spacious and clean rooms. Unfortunately there is currently a construction site next to the hotel which during our stay was very loud. The hotel had left a note of apology in the room stating that the work stops between 7pm and 7am so not the best if you like to sleep in or relax in the afternoon. Not sure when it's due to finish but when we were there they were still working to demolish the previously existing building on the lot.

A hotel with typical Khmer layout and furnishings. It is located in a mostly residential area with many eating places nearby. May not be suitable for less than able guests as you need to climb a flight of stairs to enter the hotel. Unfortunately, nearby construction sites mean sleeping late is not an option.

The hotel is very conveniently located close to all the major sights and it is easy to walk to many of these if one can brave the local traffic crossings. The staff at the hotel are very helpful and able to offer lots of advice. We did book the taxi service through the hotel and that was very useful with a good driver. The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is very good with all kinds of items and as vegetarians we did not go hungry.

Loved the pool area, the service and the room.
We were disappointed that the sky deck wasn’t open and we couldn’t have cocktails.
The room smelled of cigarette smoke.
There was lots of noise from the building site all night but that is no fault of the hotel.

The hotel is nice and clean, very reasonably priced and the breakfast is excellent. I am a vegetarian and I asked for vegetarian items and juice in the breakfast. Every day, they gave me free juice and special vegetarian items. Staff were very attentive. The general manager of the hotel would check in with me about my needs every day.

I enjoyed my stay at Katari Hotel the pool is an obvious winner and the staff were very obliging to help with any requests I had. Only negative for me was my very hard mattress, which was resolved by the manager arranging a softer one, thank you Sam. I can highly recommend this Hotel to fellow travellers.

The Katari is in a perfect spot to explore Phnom Penh - centrally located it means all the main things to see are either a walk or a short reumork (tuk tuk) journey away.
My favourite part was the rooftop pool, which was the perfect place to relax after a day of sight seeing in the 30+ degree heat.

Nice hotel with spacious clean room and bathroom with modern fittings.
There is a convenience store very close by if one needs to do grocery shopping. Tuk Tuk available in front of hotel and hotel provides if requested a Table showing Tuk Tuk Fare charges to various tourist attractions, Shopping Malls etc which is very helpful.
There are more than a dozen steps to climb to reach the lobby of the hotel reception from the front. Porter there to help with your luggages .

Pros: Nice pool and roof top.
Cons: I emailed the hotel asking specific questions and twice they sent back a form email. The hotel is old and dated and had lots of weird creeky sounds. All night it sound like a mouse was in the room- although I know there wasn't one. The biggest beef I have is how dare the hotel tell me (and not until after I arrived) that I cannot have guests in my room THAT I PAID FOR! Based on this policy alone I can't recommend this hotel. They should be stated clearly before you book. If it was, i would pick another hotel. When you are trying to sleep in the morning all you hear is the walkie talkie of the cleaning crew. The water they supplied to me in the room was already opened! There wifi system makes no sense and every time you leave you need a new passcode. So basically I couldn't use it. The staff LIED to me about the price and time of the bus ticket to get me to Kampot.

All was good unless forgetting wallet in the room while stepping out to pool area became the worst mistake with 200$ missing from wallet and when i asked reception to check on CCTV they said nothing of this sort can ever happen, my question to her and the hotel staff shall be if nothing can happen why cant check CCTV to confirm with the guest also. If i was wrong hotel team should have proven me wrong showing CCTV footages.

We were happy with our stay, the room, facilities, and staff were just excellent. The area is a little sketchy and you need to be mindful of your belongings at all times (particularly of the night time if you’re to go out).
The thing that really let our stay down was the buffet breakfast. Big waste of time, I wouldn’t eat much from there (maybe only the fruit each morning), and even that had fruit flies everywhere around it. There was banquets of dishes, most of which were all cold. Who knows how long they’d been that cold for. There was a chicken dish which we’re almost sure made my partner ill.
Also, once stocked at 6am, that’s pretty much how it’s left until the breakfast finishes at 10am, it’s not replenished at all.

Staff are friendly and helpful. The bathroom has no shower door, water scatters all over. The bathroom has an unnecessary see through glass. You can watch someone taking a shower from your bed. Laundry service is over price, a small pack of clothes cost 27 USA dollars.

The hotel was very nice and located a bit away from the center of things, which was pleasant.
The room was excellent, clean, and with everything you need, even included a bath, which was a surprise. The staff were friendly and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay.
The only issue I had was with the door and key. It didn't work so well and didn't close appropriately so I had to keep closing it tightly or an alarm that sounded like a fire alarm would go off. I am sure the neighbors were swearing at me next door. Other than this minor issue, the hotel was a place I would recommend without issue. I was too lazy to ask the staff to fic the door, so it is partially my fault..

Pnomh Penh Katari is situated in an area that has recently increased in nice cafes and eateries. It is relatively close to the city center and river as well as markets like the Russian and Central markets.

The hotel itself is clean, well staffed and has good service. Water is warm and toilets are clean. Staff is polite.

What wonderful friendly helpful staff were made to feel at home. The breakfast had plenty of options and the pool was a blessing. We stayed for 8 days and loved everything about it. Them first hotel I had booked some months prior was \"closed\" how annoying, On arriving late and finding your hotel and closed down!

Stayed in a Junior Suite which was good value for money, room was large with modern bathroom and separate bath. The water in the shower wasn't that hot, but didn't mention to the Hotel as we were only staying two nights, I think the trick is to leave the water running a bit longer for the hot to come through. Included breakfast was good with everything thing we needed. Bed was comfortable. Room cleanliness was good.
