Lovely hotel staff very friendly and helpful and clean on a lovely beach.
The only problem I had was getting in the pool and getting out because there

Boutique hotel/home away from Bangkok home

Anantasila is our go to hotel away from the craziness of BKK. Great beach, gardens, pool, service, food, and rooms are very well appointed, although there are different classes and sizes of rooms. This beach seems less commercial and you can walk 5 kms down it to the next small community. Dog friendly to some rooms, and staff go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Is a smaller hotel which is nice.

This property is very convenient for the beach. Very child friendly but they can be a little noisy when playing in the pool which is situated down the centre of hotel.
Overall this is a good place to stay and staff are very welcoming.

Great smaller boutique hotel, awesome beach

We have stayed here maybe 10 times the past few years. We keep coming back because of the uniqueness of the property, the warm and efficient service, the upkeep of the hotel and gardens, and they allow dogs in three different groupings of rooms in the property. We are always treated well, are sometimes upgraded, and when there is an issue (this time with a noisy adjacent guest), the hotel handled it perfectly and professionally. Breakfasts are great, very good selection, and the views of the beach from the dining area and pool/reception are awesome.

Always a great stay

Escaped to Anantasila for a mid week break, and as always, had a great time. Service, room, staff and quality of food as good as ever. We have been here with our dog Leo many times from Bangkok, and the staff always greet us all by name and warmly. Stayed in a one bedroom suite in the annex building, which we love as it’s the dog friendly building and always quiet. Lots of neighborhood restaurants in walking distance, best beach in Hua Hin.

The Anantasila Beach Resort probably has the best beach location in the HuaHin area with a relatively sheltered sea front but with more easily accessible areas for surfing. There are all the usual activities, amenities and food stalls along the lovely long beach front and it's easy to walk to Sea Pines Golf Club and beyond to the public beaches. We had booked the relatively cheaper Como room not realising that this is in a separate building away from the main hotel block which had a rather deserted unfinished feel, the room was small with no view, didn't feel relaxing to us so we asked if we could move to the main area which, for an increase in cost, the staff very helpfully and quickly arranged. This new room was so much better, larger, nearer everything and with a good view. The only downside was the proximity to the public beach access road and more specifically the dustbins which were emptied every morning between 6 and 7 am by a rather noisy bun lorry, not something the hotel can control. The swimming pool is excellent although while the sun loungers on one side are just outside guests rooms sliding patio doors are for all guests, it would feel very awkward to take these. Breakfast is excellent and nothing is too much trouble for the very helpful and always pleasant staff. The location is a bit away from the centre of town, the hotel has a shuttle but it’s worth hiring a scooter to get to Cicada, the shopping malls, the night street market and other sights.

The property is located on the beachfront and you have options to walk or swim in the ocean or at the pool.
The food is really good both breakfast and dinner.. The room is clean and optioned reasonably well.
The only issue i have with people walking around with their dogs in prams and dogs barking.

Great hotel that makes you feel home . People are lovely , food is great and you can spend the whole day at this hotel with many activities for kids on the beach . Very relaxing atmosphere . It’s been the 4th time we stay at this hotel and wish we could come back again .

One of the most relaxed and beautiful hotels you could ask for. You don't need it to be a 5 star hotel to make you feel special.
The staff are wonderful, rooms are basic but comfortable, and you won't be spending time in your room with a pool and garden like this one.

Fantastic charming beach resort

We booked this hotel last minute due to a change in plans. We were very pleased with our 9 day stay. The beach was fantastic. The room was spacious. The restaurant had both Thai and international food and everything we ate was delicious. The hotel itself is warm and charming, unlike most of the huge towers in Hua Hin.The staff were over the top excellent in every respect and made us feel welcome and appreciated. My wife and I have stayed in many hotels around the world and we rank this as among the best places we have stayed. On top of that, it was very affordable.

Love the location of the hotel and the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurant has a good range of food at reasonable prices.
Pool side rooms in the main building are comfortable but getting dated. My only gripe is the basic shower head and having to stand in a bath to take a low pressure shower which is really dated.

This was a lovely, friendly, and relaxing place to spend
A week. All staff were wonderful and helpful. My only
Wish was that they were a little judicious in their use
Of slightly loud music on the open air patio area. It’s always better to hear the waves lapping the beach. Not a complaint just a comment. A little off the beaten path. Restaurants and large 711 nearby. Physically separated from Hua Hin proper by a mountain.

This hotel sits on a clean and long stripe of sand. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Breakfast is excellent, with variety of food changing every day.
The room (mountain view) had a huge terrace with all the necessary amenities.
The food at the hotel restaurant was also good. The mojitos were a little bit too sweet, but it’s a minor detail ;-)

Very attentive staff. English is a bit hard to understand - they could use some help with accent training. I speak Thai & didn’t cause a problem. But I imagine there could be many misunderstandings because when staff did try to speak to me
(I don’t look Thai or even Asian) it was very difficult to discern.

Other than that the facility is clean, beautiful and staff goes out of their way to make stay enjoyable.

Enjoyed our stay, room good except for the fact that they squeezed 2 Queen beds into a room suitable for 1 or 1 and a single. This meant one side of the bed was hard up against a wall and my partner had to climb over into the bed from my side.
However this wall was covered in a mirror which made for interesting viewing.
The private courtyard outside the room was a nice touch.

Amazing people makes a very special hotel

Anantasila hotel was just fantastic: everyone is so welcoming and gives you the feeling that you’re in your family beach home enjoying your vacation!!
All the attentions were extremely professional, from the servers to the management, and always with a big smile.
To be a pet friendly hotel was a plus for us and they really accept like other customer your pet and treat them really well.
We forgot some clothes into the closet and they have told us they will sent them back home for free. That can let you know what kind of special place with amazing people is this. I highly recommend to book some days and enjoy your vacations in paradise!!

Negatives which spoilt my holiday: The toilets were blocked up and we had a difficult time as we had to keep going to the public loos in the reception area! The microwave wasn’t working. There was no lift at the garden villas which meant it wasn’t wheelchair friendly.

A very nice hotel with great service and very good care of staff. I and my family like this hotel very much. If you wanna escape from the city to seek slow life. This is a place! I am very impressed with service and care of the staff. However, breakfast had not much varieties and they were a bit cold. Facility In the room is needed to get maintenance. Car park is too small comparing with no. Of the room they have and this causes inconvenience for a rainy day.

A lovely homely hotel\n

We found this hotel , warm and friendly with cosy areas to relax in all very tastefully decorated . It's not one of your large spanking ultra modern places but we loved the intimate feeling of the hotel . Breakfasts were delightful and relaxed ... No queues , The menu a little restricted in comparison to other hotels we have stayed at . The staff were efficient and friendly . Our room was a lovely size with a balcony overlooking the pool area and as it was just after Christmas , the lights in the grounds were magical . We loved the garden beds with beautiful orchids and bougainvilleas and the gorgeous fresh flower arrangements on the tables in the dining area . The only fault was that our bed was too hard and ew have found this before when we stayed at a different hotel in Hua Hin . The Tuscan architecture and colours of the hotel were lovely and it was just the right size for us . Not too big and grand and impersonal . We would not hesitate in recommending this hotel .

A very pleasant hotel with very friendly staff.

We had booked a pool-side walk-out room in the B building but decided that for another 500THB per night it was worth getting a suite. The hotel is on Takiab beach, which is not one of the white beaches further south but still pleasant. Staff bring the usual friendly Thai hospitality and the manager Bruce is always to be found talking to visitors. We were glad we came this far out of town to avoid the hurly burly of down-town Hua Hin. Highly recommended.

nothing could be better

stayed in Anantsila for the weekend. This property is ideal, on the beach, away from main road and city, super friendly staff and excellent staff. The rooms are nice, clean and spacious.

it has nice restaurant facing the sea and live music. the prices were very reasonable. they also have a separate menu for vegetarian and that makes things so easy.

i will definitely recommend and will visit again.

WE arrived for a booked 6 person villa but heard that breakfast is only included for 4 persons. Staff on reception was friendly but rest of the staff usually dont greet or say hello. Housekeeping was reliable and efficient. Hotel is around 15 minutes from the town away so always need to take a transport for 200THB as the shuttle bus is not sufficient for 3x per day. Beach had too little sun beds and umbrellas so needed to fight for it and also towels sometimes out of stock. Overall nice family hotel but for the price could expect better. Food prices at hotel are too expensive for Thailand and not suitable for this area and class.

I want to go back!

We stayed 2 nights in Hua Hin and it left us wanting more! We had a wonderful and relaxing time. The food for breakfast was a very big selection. The staff are very friendly and helpful. They have drivers who will take you to nearby places for free - we got a lift to Monkey Mountain and spent 1 hour there taking photos and then the driver picked us up. Great to explore the neighborhood. They also have a shuttle into town. You MUST check out the Cicada night market on the weekends. So much good food and shopping from local artisans and makers. And entertainment too. The beach is beautiful - I had a massage on the shore at sunset! We stayed in the \"1 bedroom apartment\" because they had a special, even though it was too much space for us. It was spacious. Comfortable bed. Wish I could be there right now!

The best vacation I've had in a long time. We loved how the resort was right on the beach and was quieter than other resorts because the resort was at the end of the beach. Great resort for kids. They could run down to the beach to play in the waves and then a short walk back to play in the pool. Food was awesome and the staff super helpful in planning excursions into town.

This hotel lived up to its luxury standards with nice rooms and a beautiful pool and bar. The breakfast was delectable with so much variety, more like a brunch. The beach has jellyfish and stray dogs. Only request I'd make is to change the toilet seat in the room's bathroom, it's scratched up and looks like it's been there for decades.

Nice and clean pet-friendly hotel on the beach

This is my second time staying in this hotel and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I like to travel with my dog and there are not many nice hotels in Hua Hin allowing dog to stay at a reasonable extra charge (if you bring pet, you will have to stay in Annex building). The room was big and super nice(1 bedroom apt) that's why I came here twice and will come again in the future. Furthermore, there is a good local seafood restaurant close to the hotel so that you do not have to drive out. Cicada market is just minutes driving away. For those bringing dogs, there are some few strayed dogs on the beach which are quite protective to their territory. You better watch out when walking your small dog!

Hotel with great pool right on the beach

This is a well managed hotel and staffed with very friendly people. Located on a very quiet and pleasant beach. Morning breakfast buffet was awesome. Only issue was the construction machinery making noise about 300 yards away that were working on new pier and support area. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Great experience and worth the money.

Relaxing

Only able to spend 3 nights here, but enjoyed the stay. South of Hua Hin and away from the noise of the main resort, able to relax and unwind. Hotel in on the beach, which is relatively undeveloped with more traditional beach side cafes. Staff were very welcoming.

Only slight downside was that the nearby marina was being redeveloped with the frequent arrival of stone deliveries and the noise. It wasn't too intrusive and I would still recommend the hotel.

Good Value for Money and Great Staff

This is a nice property with a very pleasant Beach Front location,excellent staff, good food. It is clearly well managed as evident from the performance of the staff and the cleanliness and maintenance of the area. A nice pool provides an option from ocean swimming. We did not travel with children but many do. The property is very child friendly. For people who do not want to be around children, this place might not be the best choice. Some bathroom fixtures are a bit dated but all are well maintained and fully functional. All in all, Anatasilla is a very pleasant seaside experience and well worth what one generally pays. As always, the staff can \"make or break\" a property and the excellent, friendly and helpful staff add value to this nice place.

A delightful stay!

Just the best on so many levels. The staff were so genuinely welcoming and helpful all the time. They went out of their way to assist me and did so enthusiastically.

My room was great; comfortable with everything I needed. It was also in a quiet location in the hotel which I valued.

I was travelling solo and very much felt like the staff took me in as family. This was a spur of the moment trip to Hua Hin, but I will be back. Loved it! Thank you Joy and your team!

Found this by accident!!

Brilliant hotel, staff very attentive and friendly, drinks and food very overpriced in the hotel but there are numerous beach bars which do wonderful food and drinks at much more realistic prices our favourite one being Candlelight which is approximately 10 meters from the hotel!! This was originally a 4 day stay but we enjoyed it so much we extended it by 2 nights to incorporate New Year's Eve. We would like to thank Bruce and all of his staff for making our first trip to Thailand a truly memorable experience and we will definitely be returning next year to this gem of a hotel on the beach.

Apartment great space Pool lacks shade

We visited in low season. Plenty of room no sunbed hogging.
Positive
- Great free service into town. times vary by day
- Good breakfast
- One bed apartment excellent with shared Jacuzzi and roof terrace that nobody else appeared to use
- Staff lovely and willing but often don't understand English. They might pretend they have but it soon becomes clear it was just a nod and a smile.
Negative
- Lack of English, They cannot advise you re where to go or how to get there
- Evening food good but expensive
Our top tips
-Cicada Market (Fri, Sat Sun). The food market has 30 to 40 stalls each selling 1 to 3 dishes. Plenty of seating. You buy vouchers (fully refundable) and exchange these at the stalls for Mains, snacks, deserts or drinks. Only if dry
- Green mini busses - get them from the police station on the roundabout before the hotel 10 min walk. They go into town for pennies every 10 mins or so.
- White mini busses less frequently. From the rail station to black Buda and floating market
- Fishing village. Walk right to the bridge turn right after the bridge. This is where the boat you se every high tide are going. They will cook the fish on Charcoal or go to a restaurant and eat some very fresh fish. Better in the day to night.
- Restaurant before the bridge they have wooden tables outside and 2 elderly ladies that are usually eating or picking crabs. (They speak excellent English so don't be fooled) We ate 3 times. 6 dishes and loved every one
