I had an excellent experience here. I came to Lourdes for a pilgrimage and the staff were amazing! I would like to especially mention Jean-Jaques and Audrey. But all of the staff were exceedingly kind and gracious. It was the perfect location within walking distance to the shrine. The only minus comes from the comfort of the beds. They were not the most comfortable, but they weren’t the worst either. If I ever come back to Lourdes, I will definitely stay here. I will never forget the kindness of the staff and their gracious hospitality. It was spectacular.

I would highly recommend Hotel St. Rose, Lourdes. Excellent staff who made me feel very welcome and upgraded me to a beautifully decorated room with a balcony. Valerie in particular was just wonderful. The hotel is a 2 minute walk to the Sanctuary. You can be sure of a warm welcome at the St. Rose 🌹

I have a wonderful stay, my room can view the gate of the sanctuary. It's clean the only issue is the noisy floor when walking that i can hear even the upper floor too. Closed to restaurant esp the Filipino restaurant. Thank you to the reception staff the guy who helped me what to do when my passport was stolen and even helped me to communicate with the police. Thank you to the young girl in the reception too for being helpful and able to speak english with me... i will stay here again.

Good hotel - not for food

The room was very nice. This was the first time I saw a room with stairs that led up to more beds. It was very comfortable and spacious for the 4 of us. It is very close to the shrine. One of the best parts of the hotel. Call ahead and they will set up the parking for you in their small parking lot. The reason for the loss of stars, the pictures show a cafe and outdoor eating area. They are there but it’s not open. Dinner is a pre set menu for a fixed price. Breakfast was a small continental breakfast. They should say the cafe is not open and there is no one to give you wine on the terrace. That there is no a la cart menu or a buffet like it says on the street.

Totally exceeded my expectations. Room was spacious , I think the hotel has been recently refurbished, everywhere was very clean and very comfortable, bathroom very clean and large. Tea and coffee available. We upgraded to half board whilst there thanks to the very helpful waiter in the restaurant. Location was excellent, very easy walk around the area and easily reached on foot from the station. Bed was comfortable. Room was warm.

I like everything, including the distance that is very close to Sanctuary. Suggestion to improve a bit more varieties of dishes/menu for dinner. Breakfast is perfect. Staff were very nice and hospitality. Negative: It could have been best hotel for the pilgrims if they provide a shuttle service to Airport at least on Sundays one in am and pm each. Because there is no public transport service on Sundays and taxi costs double on that day.

The only good thing about the property was the location.
the room was terrible, for twin room, only one chair, no table to have tea and had to sit on bed instead. extremely small.
the toilet seat had to be used sitting sideways as the industrial toilet roll was sitting next to it.
nothing was good about the hotel except for the location. reception staff did not have a clue about any tours or any information about Lourdes.
TV only had news in English nothing else. very poor.

A great stay and lovely find after many years of coming to Lourdes. We got a refurbished room which was great. Clean and comfy. Would have been nice to have had the sheets changed during our week long stay but other than that no problems. Also the shower, which is really nice, big and poweful could do with a shelf or somehere to store bottles etc other than on the floor. We did just bed deal as breakfast was an added extra at 12 euros and this seemed very pricy. Great front desk service and very friendly staff. A great convenient place to stay.

I like the hotel very much, it was comfortable and staff was friendly. I gave all 4 because it was good though I had a bad experience. I booked triple room for 3 people- 3 beds saw the pictures of triple room liked it. First day they gave us a room in old block 3 single beds together and everything was dated including toilet. Our moods were bad. Next day we asked what happened to the room we saw and booked online. Manager said they had a large group and our room was given. Which was not acceptable as we booked 4 weeks in advance. He offered us a double bed room and added another bed. We took it to escape old room. Otherwise did not want a double bed to share! That was in new block and very roomy and good decor and modern bathroom with tea coffee and mini fridge facilities. We were glad to get out of old room and did not ask for discount or compensation ruining our first day at Lourdes. I do not want to give a poor rating for a nice hotel. But they should not do this to others travellers. We go through internet checking so many rooms to get the best that suit us.

Except the reception staff and one other member of staff in the dining area cannot speak or understand English. The bed room for two is narrow. Clean towels daily. Breakfast is simple and plenty but lunch and Dinner is buffet but would not recommend it. it is also expensive. There are many decent restaurant near-by.

This is a nice hotel within walking distance to the Grotto. Our family of four was accommodated in two rooms connected with a door (really nice). The front desk was really helpful! We arrived early in the morning, way before the scheduled check-in time and we were graciously accommodated in our rooms for no extra charge! The bathroom was clean but the fittings were a bit old. The elevator was too small for our family and baggage, so we made multiple trips. Nice neighborhood with Cafes right outside the hotel. From the room, we had a nice view of the Pyrnees mountains.

Overall, a nice experience in Lourdes.

they did not advertise that they did not have air-conditioning in the room. We bake in in for the first night, in spite of leaving the windows open. Then with the windows open, the noise from the street was very loud till after 2:00 am. The whole family did not sleep that night. The next day after I complained, they gave us fans. Internet connection is weak, food at the hotel pricey.

Nasty rooms with a very rude staff attitude

They first tried to give us a nasty old smelling room. When we objected they transferred us to a better room. I had to talk to the manager , and even after that, he did not care. The staff was rude and very unhelpful. The manager basically shrugged his shoulders and didn't care. I threatened to write a bad review of the hotel and staff and reminded him of their written principles behind the reception. I left then was followed by a staff member who offered me a different room to look at. The arrogant manager never apologized for his rudeness and behavior. What really strikes me, is if you have better rooms, why offer the worst then switch us when we complain?

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights on room only basis. Close proximity to the Sanctuary, room comfortable and on the whole OK. One staff member ws a bit grumpy. I suppose the language barrier did not help. Never the less a small smile would have been greatly appreciated. There was one staff member Yousoof( on the night shift) who was very pleasant and helpful.

For aLoudes Pilgrimage it does good.

The trip was a pilgrimage group visit to Lourdes; no options suitable for that typre of visit. The room was OK but the shower was a little too small for a fat lad like me. Although my interactions with the hotel staff were brief the staff were very courteous and helpful. When I had to change my travel plans they were helpful getting e-tickets printed at no additional cost. I would stay again but would hope for a bigger shower.

Hotel website says WIFI and Parking offered. As soon as we arrived we were told that WIFI was only available in the lobby and bar and that there was no parking available. We looked and the small parking facility across the lobby and it was extra full. They suggested a public park across the street for a daily fee.
I tried their WIFI and it didn't have enough bandwidth to allow a Skype call in or out. I logged into my office and was interrupted 244 times in one hour. There are no electrical plugs in the lobby or bar. We had dinner there one evening. The food and presentation were not appetizing at all. You and one luggage could take the elevator, followed by your spouse and the other luggage after climbing a set of stairs. Then you switch to another elevator, (same dimensions) to get to your floor. You need to request an outside line to make a call, and checkout is 9:00 AM.
Definitely not going there again! For a couple of euros more Panorama is a much better facility and the food and service were great.

This hotel was in a good location for those visiting the Sanctuaries- a short walk to the end of the road. Although the description said that the hotel had been renovated the small single room I stayed in for one night had not and was old fashioned. I slept well. I suppose someone has to be next door to the lift! The Wi-fi did not operate in my room so had to go down to reception area to use it. There is a pleasant outside seating area for relaxing outside in the evening. car parking was expensive D and reception could have informed me it was cheaper to park outside on the relatively quiet road. Lourdes is a great place to visit.

The hotel was supposed to have been completely renovated in 2010 but they have only decorated the reception, bar, & restaurant areas. All the rooms are very dated and all are in desperate need of new bathroom suites, as the shower heads are mounted at chest height and bathroom doors are plastic sliding type rather than a solid door, which can be annoying when sharing with a couple of other people.

Saint Rose Hotel Lourdes - thin walls and floors

The hotel is overall clean and the decor can tell it's done quite recently. I was first checked in Room 509 which I thought it's great to be on 5/F, actually, it is on a mezzazine floor facing the road. The front desk gentleman was very nice to change it for me to a double room on a 2/F (literally), I really appreciated his efforts as it took him long to find a room during the peak season.

Other than this, its convenient location to the Sanctuaries of Immaculate Conception and its terrace for a drink break are fabulous to serve the purpose of a pilgrim.

We arrived to 30 degree heat it being Late august so we weren't very impressed that the room didn't have air conditioning nor did the window in our room open! Very close to the sanctuaries -- but VERY basic

This hotel was extremely convenient to the St Joseph's Gate of the Sanctuaries and the City Bus stop (2 blocks walk). You do have to walk up a slight hill and take elevators up into the lobby because it is built on a hill. There are also many restaurants and shops including a grocery store right around the hotel. The area seemed very safe.

The desk service was not very good. I was never able to get my room phone to work despite repeated requests and the girl at the desk told me the City Bus did not run before 9 am (it begins at 7) and that I needed to take a taxi.

The room itself was clean and very basic. There was only a very tiny narrow window in the corner and it was otherwise quite dark and bland. However I didnt spend much time in the room so that was OK. It was clean and the mattress was comfortable.

Breakfast cost way too much for the stale croissant and bitter cup of coffee. It looked like a lot of tour groups booked in this hotel and had included meals but for an individual traveller that was a total rip off.

The lobby did have a computer from which guests could access the internet. I did use this a few times since my room phone didnt work so that was OK.

I think most hotels in Lourdes are similar to this so its probably about as good as you're going to get there.

Location is truly everything.

Location of the hotel is excellent for people interested in the shrine and processions at Lourdes. The hotel itself caters to large groups of tourists and the room I was given was like a closet.

The rooms were not air conditioned, only the reception area and the dinning room. There was a smell in the room and in the bed sheets.
