We were sadly disappointed with part of this stay. We travel frequently with Airbnb & Hotels.com. I return to Hotels because normally, we are very pleased. This was not one of those times. Our check-in was very long. We had to hand over passports a few times for they couldn’t find our reservation. We asked for hotel restaurant for some lunch. The gal who helped us check in wasn’t informed that there was indeed a spot we could have more than chips, snacks, as she said.
Our room was beautiful with ocean views. Bathroom sink was clogged. I asked twice for it to be fixed. When our room was cleaned they took the dirty towels but forgot to replace them. The hotel info says mini bar in room. There is not one.
The service & breakfast buffet is incredible all around. We had a barbecue Dinner one night which was very nice. Staff very helpful & kind.
Pool was magnificent. Swam every day. The dinner shows were amazing! Flamenco Dancers were incredible!
The vibe is cruise like. The guests were either with young ones or 60+.
Overall we wouldn’t return. But, we had a wonderful time overall. The nearby beaches and boat days are a must! They gave us a late check out for our troubles.

Excellent hotel, second time here. Fantastic facilities, view from the Pool is amazing! Food fantastic, room modern and clean, staff are great and work very hard! Room cleaned daily. Glass lift from hotel down to Puerto Rico harbour and amadores beach is fab! Really recommend this hotel.

The floors of the room was super dirty. On second day had to call reception to get it cleaned then saw the guy do it and for a large room he just put the mop in the bucket once and cleaned the entire room without repotting the mop in the bucket which explains it. Nice facilities for children, close to angry bird park, at dinner you have to pay for water and you also have to pay to use the safe which is ridiculous. But nice view, great pool, great activities for children. The sea room view are great.

We loved our stay here. We had a fabulous room and time in the Thalasso pool.
It would have been even better if - our bed had 8 legs instead of 7. As crazy as this sounds, it was 2 single beds pushed together, one deliberately with 3 legs which meant dependant on where you sat on that bed, there was always a leg off the floor, so when you moved, the legs were hitting the floor in turn.
Under the bed was cleaned of dust.
The jacuzzi had been scrubbed.

Beautiful hotels with amazing views

Lovely hotel with amazing views and friendly staff. This was a return visit and seen improvements from previous times, and will come back. Some offerings could be improved - body lotion and conditioner in the rooms, as well better hairdryers. I would also suggest some bed toppers for the extensible couch and some scheme to incentives guest to reuse towels for more than one day in a bid to become more ecofriendly, as well as more selective rubbish collection.

Unfortunately my husband ended up in hospital, we came out with 6 friends and four of us had food poisoning, my husband is 74 and has heart problems, we have had to extend our stay and alter our flights by 2 days, he ended up with a severe urine infection due to being dehydrated,
We have stayed here before but we won’t be returning.

The hotel itself was nice, we liked the pool area and cleaning/restaurant staff were excellent.
However the reception staff let the hotel down.
At check in we were told if we didn’t like our room we could change in the morning, we found this strange as if the man at reception knew we were being placed in the wrong room. For context we booked a double sea room 8 months in advance.
We were put in to a dirty small dark room looking into reception. We requested to be swapped the following morning and were told there are no rooms left and we could return the next day.

I sent an email to management and I was told there was a room available on the system. So we were lied to at reception. The room was nicer as it’s what we booked. We were woken up at 8am every morning from screaming and shouting and people running up and down the hall. The dining room was chaos every morning.
Towards the end of our holiday we went to reception to enquire about a late check out and we were told this wouldn’t be a problem and the lady took our details and told us to return the morning of checkout.We returned and we were told they needed the room back and couldn’t give us another room but they had a booking system for a 15 min courtesy room we could use to get changed in if we requested a specific time at checkout.When we checked out we asked to book a slot for the room and surprise no room was available.Raquel was very rude and brushed us off when we told her her colleague told us this. All lies….

What an amazing hotel!! Staff were extremely friendly and hospitable, every room has the most beautiful sea view. The food was plentiful, of an excellent quality and a good variety of options. A short walk to the nearest town where there were lots of shops/restaurants. Only 25 mins from the airport too.

It is overall a very lovely hotel and a good place to stay. Unfortunately the hotel staff and housekeeping don’t pay attention to do not disturb signs and entered my room several times when I didn’t want to be bothered. This wasn’t taken seriously by reception staff either. There seems to be an issue with the water supply in the mornings, maybe down to demand but it kept running at low pressure, cold and even stopping completely during a shower. The breakfast buffet was rather boring, but that seems standard for many hotels. Great location and easy access to both Peurto Rico and Amadores as well as the commercial centre if you’ve got the fitness to walk up the hill.

The bedrooms are very spacious and the sea views excellent, though the bathroom arrangements may not be to everyone’s taste as has been commented upon by other guests. It’s all very open plan! The restaurant buffet is very extensive and well presented. For the price we paid it was excellent value for money.

Amazing place to relax as always

We had a long needed sun break and decided to go to the Gloria Palace Amadores, if you want to chill, relax, and just enjoy a peaceful holiday in the sun this is the place to go.
Amazing infinity pools (yes 2 of them!), sunbeds are plentiful, food is amazing given the amount of choices, service and cleanliness is excellent.

The hotel is a little dated but bedrooms & bathrooms are nice - few issues while there with all the public toilets not flushing or no water in the taps. Personally i liked breakfast & luch but found it difficult to get stuff at dinner. Cocktails were appalling- entertainment not great either, kids entertainment could be better.pools & views are excellent. I didn't like the area - a lot of usual tatty shops but i think theres a good shopping center a taxi drive away. All of our party of 12 had to move rooms for 1 reason or another eg no adjoining room given even though it was requested as the other room was for an extra child! Were ok about moving people but a waste of most of the day for the traveller. Lifts were plentiful but a bit confusing as there were 4 blocks. Spa very good - facials dear & said it's for one and half hour - it wasn't- mask on & left for at least 25 mins - overall 1hr 10 mins but the beautician was very good - massages were very cheap & great. Dont think I'd go back. Cant add pics as problem with your site

Although we were in this hotel for the first time, this place and the hotel are well known to us. That's why we chose this hotel this time. The main thing here, of course, is the beautiful ocean views from the room, as well as from any frontal points. The location is convenient. Although we arrived in a rented car at night, we arrived easily. At the reception they issued quickly. The hotel has a 4-level parking built into the rock. There are enough places. The rest is traditional for such hotels, a large room with daily cleaning, internet, a large balcony, meals in a restaurant. We took 2 times a day, that's enough. Within walking distance are two famous beaches, for an amateur.
Usually in such hotels for dinner give a menu for drinks. It can be recommended in this case as well.

Great hotel, fantastic location.
Clean. Food was outstanding, one issue noticed was waiting staff were obviously pushed to clear tables and reset, management had to come out and refresh juice machine. Coffee cups and glasses were missing a couple of times. Staff were excellent, food great maybe a training \ control issue.
This is a big hotel, 4 blocks spaced out, took a day or two to learn the layout. Wife enjoyed it the fashion shows, evening entertainment varied. Peurto Rico 300m walk away with some great restaurant. Room was spacious and cleaned daily, by Sandra who always had a smile. View from balcony was lovely. All in all a great hotel, staff, food, location Airport transfer was cheaper than I could find by other means and was perfect service

The hotel is in a beautiful setting, with views over the ocean. My room was very comfortable, clean and well kept, as was the rest of the hotel. Reception staff and room cleaners were very polite and professional.

On the less favourable side, I found the food at breakfast a bit bland. I also ordered a burger from the snack bar which I didn't eat, as it was badly undercooked.

The hotel is very much for couples and large family groups - which from what I saw, seemed to be true of the whole of Gran Canaria.

Enjoyable stay on the whole, good location and all the facilities you need. Food choice limited, ok if you just wanting standard English cuisine. The majority of staff were lovely, spoilt by incident in restaurant, we were half board and you needed your room card to put drinks onto your room at dinner, one evening I forgot said card and the drinks waiter insisted I went back to our room for the card, to pay for a bottle of water when I was half way through my meal - not very customer friendly.

Not a lot of authentic local dishes, but very much catering for the foreign tourists. Unfortunately the hotel was over booked on our first night so we did not get the room we had booked. We manage to change room from the second night onwards, but it was not ideal.

Hi just back from a fantastic weeks holiday from December 4th to 11th 2021 at Gloria Palace Amadores Thalasso & Hotel. We booked this hotel with recommendation from family who have stayed a couple of years ago and our expectation were not disappointed. The hotel is beautiful inside and outside from the moment you enter the lobby. The place is spotlessly clean. The rooms are very spacious with all the amenities you would expect from 4 star hotel with stunning view from the balcony over the sea. You can have different options of board accommodations but we just choose b&b as we like to go out and eat in different restaurants for dinner. The breakfast every morning the choice of food that was on offer even the fossy eater would fine it hard to complain. From selections of cereals fruit cold meats different selections of breads and all your cooked breakfast the choice is funomenal. The hotel has its own glass lift Whitch takes you down under ground were you come out to a beautiful promenade which you can talk a short walk along the coast either to Puerto Rico or to amadores beach’s. We love this hotel so much we have booked again for next year and can’t wait to go back.

The one issue was that the water temperature of the shower in the room was switching from hot to cold. Overall, I would recommend the hotel and would return.

We had a fabulous week at petinos beach hotel, from the free shuttle to and from the airport, the best view, the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve slept in, the lovely helpful ladies on reception.
The bus stop across the road from the hotel to town was great too.
A climb along the rocks to Nikolas Taverna is a must

Really great hotel in a great location. It has been been around for 15 or so years and maybe needs a bit of a refresh in parts.
Could make a better feature of the upper snack terrace. It is fine if the weather is really good, but on cool days the wind tends to be a negative feature and some wind breaks would help.
Overall a great hotel with great buffet meal choices.

An outstanding holiday with truly wonderful experiences. The overall impression was amazing however small weaknesses need to be addressed. I emphasise small. Educate your staff to never exploit your guests. Moreover, maybe management should learn the same message. A hike of 150% of prices on New Year Eve. Poor marketing. We went to the bar on the cave entrance for a pre gala drink and discovered that a beer and cocktail costed over 30 + to the embarrassment of the lovely waiter. Rather than stay in the hotel as planned , we went down town 😡🎉😡. Management take note please. We loved our stay but this was the only disappointment 👏👏

A wonderful holiday from start to finish.
Although check in was very late in the evening it was swift without any hiccups and in our room within 2 minutes. Our luggage was taken by service and we met them in the room. We knew it was a good start.

Breakfast was buffet style and almost anything you could imagine was on the ever flowing tables.
A beautuful restaurant when you can either sit inside or outside on the terrace. The waiters are quick and efficient.
The rooms were excellent and our housekeeper Pacqui was delightful. Always helpful and smiley. Nothing was much trouble for her.
A lovely gesture on Christmas Eve. Chocolates and a card was placed on our freshly cleaned bed.

The pool area was very clean and tidy and towels were always available every day.

The pool bars were fab and highly recommend the chill out bar for their friendliness and prompt service.

Am overall wonderful experience and will certainly be back

This is a great hotel and was amazing value , the food was fantastic and almost impossible to not find something to eat. Sitting on the terrace to eat with the stunning sea view and sunset was lovely.
Rooms are large and clean and we had glorious full sea view .
Pools are nice and clean although a few tiles are missing her and there . Plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas although people still leave towels on them in the morning and then not turn up until two ot three o clock. This should be monitored and towels removed after a certain amount out time ..
Drinks were good with waiter service during dinner and in the evening , with quite a few branded drinks as well .
Evening entertainment was a bit hit and miss and sometimes very dull , non of it was lively enough to keep young people interested.
Overall great hotel and in a lovely location and I would recommend it to all .

This hotel is ideally located between Puerto Rico and Amadores facing the sea. It is great for families and couples with very good facilities to cater for all. There is a kids club which caterers for children . 2 main pools and a children's pool plus a tennis court and scheduled activities for elders. The spread of food choices is very good during meal times and there is a also evening entertainment in the evenings for everyone including the kids with the mini disco. After the evening meal everyone generally makes there way to the evening entertainment which over a week is a mix of singers, magic, and circus acts keeping the guests occupied.
There is a also a gym and spa facilities on site.
The staff are very friendly and make you welcome during your stay.
If i was to be critical in order for the hotel to make some improvements which i think they are keen to do as they gave out surveys during our stay which indicated they are keen to find out from the guest, i would say the following:
1. Not enough Vegetarian dish options during meal times. Some Vegetarian items were not even labelled. Alot of dishes have fish and meat and some of the 'vegetarian' dishes had fish or egg in them and were not labelled.
2. Ingredients labelling on the Vegetarian items , such as if it includes fish or egg ( and all other food in case it contains nuts for allergy suffers).
Overall a great place to stay, only the latter makes it miss out on full marks.

This is a large hotel that caters very well for a large number of guests. They offer a wide selection of food and the hot food is actually hot. They have a couple of pools besides the spa pool. The staff are friendly and a special shout out to Alvaro and another waiter (whose name escapes me but he was a very good mover and shaker on the dance floor).

The all inclusive package is good, although there are a few things on the menu that are not covered.

My only negative comment is that we were unable to reserve a late checkout and you are not able to benefit from the all inclusive services if you are checking out late. Other international hotels do offer this (food and drink at no extra cost and a late checkout for a cost).

We’ve just arrived home after a week of All Inclusive.

We checked in around 12:45, our room was lovely, really big overlooking the sea. We had two beds, pull out mattress, two wash basins, toilet and shower over the bath. Check in was pleasant, nice and easy. No deposit needed for anything. The safe in the room is chargeable €10 deposit and €2.60 a day to hire - we never bothered with this. Our room was cleaned everyday nice and early and we never ever saw the cleaners!

We spent the week at the pool on floor 8 - no children at this pool. The pool area was cleaned every morning, temperature reading of the pool - 26 degrees - not a heated pool but it certainly wasn’t required. Fresh water pool no tracing of salt, chlorine was just lovely. The only problem at the pool for us was there’s no separate area for smokers - so for non smokers this was a bit off putting especially as one couple arrived who done nothing but smoke repeatedly all day.

The snack bar area on floor 8 was great and the bar staff immediately highlighted what was and wasn’t included in our All Inclusive. There are certain snack and drinks menu for AI guests however you can pay for anything you want. Sadly ice lollies and crisps were chargeable - fine for us but I wonder at peak summer holidays how families would feel about paying. One day the chef cooked an amazing paella dish at the pool side but then it was €9 per person - again this not included in AI.

Brilliant hotel would certainly recommend it. If you want privacy ask a room below the pool level in either block 3 or 4 as they have complete privacy and the only thing between you and the sea is a small road and a path.

we booked and paid for a sea view. we looked out onto a tower block. when i complained the duty manager told me it was a sea view. I suppose if you looked through the glass of the tower block you could just see some blue of the ocean. they did put it right next day but that shouldn't have occurred in the first place. they knew we were arriving that day. I also found the food a bit too much the same every day and we ate out a lot. The hotel was beautifully clean and staff except the reception duty manager were friendly. Poolside areas were great.

We had a lovely stay at the Gloria Palace Amadores. The staff were welcoming and always helpful and pleasant. The hotel was clean with lovely pools that had plenty of available sun beds but generally it needs a bit of attention to paintwork and cracks. Our room was generously proportioned with a great balcony and sea view but we were disappointed to get what was essentially a twin room with the beds pushed together when we had specifically contacted the hotel and asked for a double room. We stayed on an all inclusive basis. The meals are a buffet style with only drinks being served at lunch and dinner. The food was always plentiful and of a fairly good standard with lots of choice. The Thalasso spa is excellent - as it was my birthday whilst there, the hotel gave me a voucher for a free use of the Thalasso pool which was very kind and unexpected. I did also have a hot stone massage which was very nice albeit a bit expensive. All in all a wonderful holiday.

I was very impressed by everything at Gloria palace hotel. I asked to change rooms for one with a good sea view and was given the very best room I could have hoped for. Arriving very late I was pleasantly surprised to find a fab salad, meat and fruit buffet in my room. Also a bottle of bubbly when I arrived. I love this place it was perfect t in every way from staff to cleanliness . I will,return when I can and hope for the same room. Thank you everyone at Gloria palace

Decent Enough, but not well managed.

Excellent hotel, unfortunately I found that some of the staff are very rude and unprofessional. But overall a decent enough place with excellent views and spacious rooms. Buffet area for food feels too small when it gets busy at breakfast, but lots of areas to bathe and relax.

Amazing Gloria Palace

Cannot find one fault with Gloria Palace This was our 4th time staying here
Rooms all have sea view, are large, airy, comfortable and have tea/coffee making facilities
Food is just amazing with a great choice Entertainment both by day and night Is brilliant A choice of yoga, stretching, aqua spin, water aerobics and regular spin classes are on daily
