Didn’t like the blankets on the bed a bit off putting and dirty. A nice clean quilt and cover would have been better.

Christophe was extremely helpful with organising taxies etc spoke good English. We bought some tee coffee etc for light breakfast in self catering appartment and had lovely lunches and dinners in Lourdes throughout our stay although a lot of places still shut until beginning if april. However this was more than made up for by the lack of crowds at all the pilgrimage attractions

Although the hotel is 1 km away, the distance was not very far from the Basilica. It was a good walk with all the shops surrounding the hotel. The hotel staff made it even more pleasant by giving us information about where to eat and what to do for the day.

I stayed here for 2 nights in December which is their low season. Most of the area was closed and it really seemed like I was in a ghost town. The main reason for booking this hotel was price and availability.

The room was very large and had a kitchen. I was able to cook breakfast after a quick trip to the local market!

The hotel offered a basic continental breakfast for 7 euros and the wifi was strong. The front desk was helpful and friendly but not everyone spoke great English. Sometimes communication was difficult.

Surprising value!

The modest price led me to expect very little but the special offer was probably because the season was just starting. The room was very clean, comfortable, quiet and the breakfast perfectly adequate. The concierge was very friendly and helpful. All together a pleasant surprise for 40 euros (for the room for two!) with breakfast at 8 euros and free parking. A budget hotel with plus points!

The room was equipped with a kitchenette which was very useful for meal preparation because most of the restaurants were closed due to the low season. Decent hotel near the Grotto

The hotel is about a twenty minute walk from the train station. and like 5-10 minutes from the Grotto depending on how fast you walk.. The hotel feels like an older hotel, and doesn't have a real new feeling to it. The staff was helpful getting me checked in, a map of the area with a few restaurants marked that were open since it was the off-season and many were closed, and helped me figure out a few things about my room.

The rooms are designed for families. There is a small side room with bunks for children, and then a main room with a standard and twin bed. Plenty big enough for me as a single person. It also comes with a kitchnette, and you can rent cooking supplies (like utensils) from the front office.

Everyday the cleaning person changed out my towels, and every two days did a decent cleaning of the room. The beds were okay, although not super comfy. Overall happy with my stay and would recommend it to families wanting a place to stay.

The two of us had a room for 5. The price was very good for the size of the room, which had free parking, TV & kitchen facilities, so we saved money on meals. The hotel was a 10 minute walk from the Grotto. No restaurant, but we went to Hotel Angelic (believed sister hotel), 8 minutes walk away, where the 3 course buffet was always excellent, eat as much as you can, plus a voucher from Residence Le Soleil to get a flagon of wine free. Free wi-fi in the lobby, without password, so not totally secure. We walked to all the sites (I am 60 years old). A bus from outside the grotto takes you to Pic du Jer cable car for 360 degree viewing. No hesitation to use Residence Le Soleil again.

Fine hotel for one night of sleeping

This hotel was fine for what we wanted it for -- one night of sleep during our drive through the Pyrenees. The location was good -- right off the main road, easy in and out of town, away from the major church traffic. It wasn't particularly clean or nice, but it would be great if you had a large group -- our room had a double bed, a single bed, and a bunk bed.

Perfect for a short stay

Stayed here for 2 nights. Receptionist was very helpful. There was no one on reception after 8pm and access to building was by code on door. Room furnished with everything you would need for a short stay. A short walk to the Grotto. This was a no frills accommodation but was spotlessly clean, comfortably furnished and well equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle, toaster & 2 ring cooker in room together with cooking utensils A good breakfast available for €8 and is well worth this.Would definitely stay again and recommend it for the independent traveller.

My daughter and I went on a pilgrimage to Lourdes and this hotel is about 30 minutes walk to the sanctuary. This hotel is therefore for young people who still have plenty of energy. The nice thing about this hotel are the staff who are very helpful and go out of their way to provide the guests' needs. The rooms are pleasant enough.

We stayed for 3 nights in early March which was off season. Most restaurants and shops were closed. But plenty of restaurants nearby during the season. Peaceful location as it is away from most shops. 10 minute walk to Grotto/ Chapel.Staff helpful and can speak English. Spacious accommodation compared to other hotels.Very clean. Utensils available free of charge for self catering and the kitchen adequate for this purpose. Computers and WIFI facility available free of charge. Sky English news channel available in the room. Air con and heating in the room was perfect. We cannot complain anything. We will go there again.

Lourdes in November

A comfortable stop for a few nights. Great having the refrigerator and electric kettle. We did not use the stovetop. Lourdes in November is quiet with most of the stores, restaurants and even hotels were closed. Residence le Soleil provided a clean place to relax in the evenings. Updated bathroom and great bathtub. A bit longer walk to the grotto and town center. Hubby and I visited some of the known sites but unfortunately, there were no nightly candlelight processions.
Signage in elevator about cost for cleaning room if needed prior to departure. This should be explained or pointed out at check-in. Overall, great value for money.

Everything went well during our stay. The hotel is good and close to everything. Only two problems we had were that they don't have 24/7 service at the main desk so if you arrive past 10 pm it may not be possible to check in and when we asked to be allowed to checkout a little late we were told this was ok but later the person seemed annoyed when we checked out at 12:30 pm.

Lourdes is a depressing place. It is not the hotel's fault. But, the city and the hospitality industry are devoted to pilgrims seeking cures. The hotel, like apparently other establishments, seems to be programmed to serve the expected clientele, many of whom appear to arrive on massive tour busses. Again, it is not the hotel's fault.

Great value place to stay

This was my first experience of an \"aparthotel\" and I came away very impressed. I would definitely stay here again – a massive and well designed room that was clean and comfortable; buy your own food and cook it or heat it up for yourself; pots, pans and a kettle are provided free, crockery and cutlery is already in the room. The receptionist (NOTE: hours are 8am to 8pm) began by giving us a map of all the holy sites of Lourdes – this must be why most people come here but it would be a fantastic base for exploring the Pyrenees, by car or bike. The centre of town is a gentle stroll away and it's close to the Pic du Jer funicular. Recommended – although Lourdes itself is a bit odd ...

Great residence within 10 minute walk from Grotto

Great staff, very helpful and joyful. Separate bunk bed space, which allowed us to have space for a married couple plus another adult with some privacy. The kitchenette allowed us to have meals there when needed, well equipped. Even if so close to the grotto, a quiet corner and a nice walk back along the river away from the crowds. Great value for what they charged, especially considering they had to close this spring due to flood damages the city underwent. Would go again!

A pleasant experience.

My wife and I had a very pleasant experience at this hotel. What seemed very minimal when we arrived VERY late at night was next morning looked at as very functional after a good nights sleep.
All of the renovations to the rooms of the hotel have made all of the important areas ie. bathroom and kitchen, very well presented and workable. The bed was very comfortable and it was in a quiet backstreet.
The staff were very helpful. Our French was awful but all desk staff personnel spoke wonderful English and helped us whenever they could.
All in all a good stay.

the hotel was the only one open after all floods that happen in October.walking distance to the gruta. everything here is up the hilland downs hills. the great thing was had kitchen , with microwave so we managed. The food here is very expense. we go the market in center and buy fresh cooked food. the market closes at 1pm every day indoor and fresh fruits is outdoor. supermarket across the street from market. but its a hike, the staff is very friendly. we had a problem with hot water and they change our room right away. if you want to go lourdes . Go off season trust me. No one speaks english, so we managed with our spanish. everything expensive. Lourdes only had one mass and one rosary a day the baths at santuary 2hrs a day. that was amazing.

Aside from the fact it takes 15 minutes walk to the Sanctuary. Hotel was quiet, clean lots of vacancies. But if you forget checkout time is 11:00am not a minute later, the manager will bang on your door asking you immediately leave or pay an extra nite. In a town with over 200 hotels I suggest you skip this one. we were getting out from the room at 11:00am but my mother who was in a wheelchair due to stroke left side paralysis was not moving fast enough for the manager. Very rude, disrespectful no empathy for disabled traveler. In a town where livelihood depends on the tourists bringing in their euros. This female manager cannot speak english should not be in this hotel industry

Everything went very well. Upon arrival we were given the parking space in front of the hotel which we kept for our 3 day visit. Good hotel for the price with good breakfast and is sister hotel to L'Angelic where we had our first dinner at a good price with a 10 % reduction which was on our way to the evening procession. Small and quiet hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were large for France. We had reserved 2 rooms for 2 couples. One had a big bed and ample waking around space with a small kitchenette. The other was a big room with a queen bed and a single in the larger room with a small dormer room with a set of bunk beds where we could spread out. That was just an upgrade for the same price as the first. Very happy stay. Just right for a spiritual stay in Lourdes. Thank you.

Friendly, professional and safe hotel in Lourdes!

The single rooms have double bed, TV, wifi and small kitchen. Overall, they are very comfortable! Staff is very amiable and amenable. On the day of arrival, the client gets all the touristic information needed for an enjoyable stay. Hotel next to ST Pierre mountain, a park and the river Le Gave. 10-15 min to the grotte. Higly recommended hotel! Will definitely go back! 5 stars. THANK YOU!

Priced right and comfortable!

Tucked away in a side road it was just far away from the main street to avoid the noise. Parking can be a challenge since people park on the sidewalks and there are many hotels on the same street. Computer available with free internet access. Staff was friendly and spoke many languages. Breakfast was okay and inexpensive with assorted breads, meat/cheese, yogurt, juice and coffee.

We stayed there for 2 nights. It was a surprise to us that they did not provide clean room service and there was no towel/toilet tissue etc. replenishment because according to the rude staff, the rate we paid through hotels.com did not include that service. The manager was a bit better although still arrogant. (He did give us a set of towels even we booked two rooms.) When I told him I was not aware of that 'policy' they had, he said in return that he got thousands of visitors and I was the only one who did not know about that. What a way to respond to a customer!

Best budget deal in Lourdes

Highly recommended......If you are on a tight budget, this is the place to stay. The studio type room comes with a little kitchen area and it's free wifi. The bathroom is clean and everything worked fine. It even has a heater on the wall. No problems at all with hot water or drain. If you need kitchen utensils for cooking, just ask the friendly staff. They'll bring them to you with a smile. Front desk staff are very friendly and generously offers local attraction information with a map. It's about a 10 to 15 minute walk to the Grotto.

juz a budget hotel ......

This hotel being so far away from the Grotto should provide better basic facilities like coffee/tea amenities in the room instead of selling it at the reception area to be more attractive n competitive.
We booked a quad room and that came with a double and single bed with spring mattresses but the double decker had cheap stuffed ones which were not comfortable at all. Only a long bolster was provided on the beds so the two sleeping on the double bed had to share this long bolster as a pillow!

Overall this place is ok if you're just staying for a couple of nights and you don't have any elderly in your group. The young british guy at reception was very friendly and courteous but he's not going to be there long. However the other chaps were also friendly so I guess if you're on a budget as we were then perhaps this might be a good place for you. But beware .... for an elderly person walking to the grotto it could take about 30min of slow walking up and down some slight slopes on the road. There are plenty of other small hotels almost next door to the Grotto but of course they would probably cost a little more so do some checking first.
My advice to fellow catholics who are coming here to Lourdes with the elderly is to get a hotel as close as possible to the Grotto as the frequent rain and cold can tire them easily so its better to exit quickly to rest at their rooms but for the healthy get a room up on the hill where there are plenty of good restaurants and shopping outlets to pass your leisure time.

Hotel Residence Le Soleil was very easy to find. The receptionist and hotel staff were very helpful in all aspects. Our room was clean, comfortable and suited our needs, there was a small kitchenette which we never used although the fridge was a bonus for cold drinks. Continental breakfast was good but at €8 per person per day we thought slightly high. It was a shame the hotel does not do an evening meal, their sister hotel where we had a subsidised meal was a short walk away but up some flight of stairs, a disappointment was no bar facilities in the hotel. The hotel was in a good position, close enough to all the religious sites but far enough away from the hustle and bustle. Would we use this hotel again, I am unsure as there are an enormous amount of hotels in Lourdes, and we would probably choose one with a restaurant and bar. Alll in all a decent hotel.

après plusieurs coups de téléphones une dame m'indique ou trouver la clè de la chambre sans aucune information
après ma premiere sortie je reviens à la résidence impossible d'entrer tout est fermé c'est un enfant qui jouait devant qui m a expliqué comment faire j étais dégoutée alors que dans la ville il y a des hotels à plus bas pris et je précise des hotels

Son alojamiento limpios pero sin grandes alardes. Bastante normales. El aire acondicionado no nos funcionó bien, lo cual provocó que tuviéramos que abrir la ventana y nos atacara algún mosquito que otro. Man skal huske, at receptionen ikke er døgnåben, så kommer man på et skævt tidspunkt, skal man ringe i forvejen og sige, hvornår man ankommer.
Ellers er det et dejligt sted.

Es muy comodo. Tiene una nevera y pequeña cocina y el apartamento puede acomodar a 2 adultos y dos niños. El baño espacioso, facil de aparcar el coche totalmente gratuito. De allí puedes recorrer todo Lourdes caminando. Las personas muy amables y el precio muy razonable.

J'ai séjourné dans cette résidence il y a 6 semaines ,et depuis le problème d'internet n'est toujours pas résolu.
rien n'est indiqué sur place pour mentionner le fait qu'il n'y a pas d'accès réseau.

Pas de parking à l hôtel celui sur place est au voisin.
Le petit déjeuner peut être pris mais chez le voisin.
Bon rapport qualité prix pour un séjour sur Lourdes
Proximité de la cité sainte a pied.

Stanza ampia pulita letti comodi, in 4 giorni ho dovuto rifare tutto io ( letti, bagno, spazzare) non so se è per via del covid o se è la politica dell albergo.
Necessità di sbattere la porta per chiuderla e ciò creava rumori delle varie stanze.

L’appartement n’était pas très propre (sol et frigo) Un lit n’était pas fait du coup les petits déjeuners nous ont été offerts (point positif) sauf que c’était dans un autre établissement situé à plus de 800 m (par temps de pluie) et il n’y avait ni pain ni viennoiseries quand nous sommes arrivés (pas cuit).

Quel dommage, on se demande s’il y a du personnel pour faire le ménage, surtout en cette periode de Covid 19.
Sol sale, murs sales et poussière sur les objets du quotidien... c’est effrayant.
Pas de personne pour répondre au téléphone dans l’après-midi. Par contre, accueil sympathique du monsieur qui répond à l’interphone le soir après 21:00.

Una estafa.

Estafa, llegas al hotel después de haber reservado y pagado la habitación a la hora que aún tenía que haber alguien allí y en el hotel no había nadie. Llamas por teléfono al número que pone en la puerta y está apagado. Llamo a hotels.com y no me dan solución, de hecho al final tras cuatro llamadas y más de una hora me dicen que los llame al cabo de una hora. Por supuesto la devolución del dinero y unas disculpas las sigo esperando, tanto por parte del hotel como de Hotels.com

Résidence médiocre et horrible

Résidence médiocre, chambre salle, cuisine
Mal équipée, mauvaise odeur dans le frigo, salle de bain dégoûtant et odeur nauséabonde dans les wc. Le personnel et le directeur ne sont pas acceuillants et pas le sens des relations. Long séjour du 18 décembre 2019 au 28 décembre pour les fêtes de Noël, nous avons dû écourter notre séjour de 3 jours avant la fin sur 7 nuits nous n'avons dormi que 2 nuits.
Car impossible de dormir, chambre non insonorisée située au 1er étage, la 1ére nuit impossible de dormir trop bruyant ( voisins étage au-dessus, côté route passage des clients bruyants à la réception à toute heure et literie de très mauvaise qualité.
Le lendemain, nous avons demandé à changer de chambre, réponse du directeur complet mais la literie a été changer.
Le 4ème et 5ème jours de 20h00 à 00h30 toujours le même problème de bruit étage au dessus, personne à la réception il faut appelé l'hôtel à côté pour informé bruit.( le telephone de la chambre fonctionne pas).
Le lendemain on prévient à nouveau le directeur il nous dit qu'il peux nous installer au 5ème mais lit séparé, non merci !!!! Bcar en 20 ans de mariage jamais dormi séparément.
On décide de partir pas même un mot d'excuse du directeur qui s'en foutait de nos soucis.
De plus le ménage du 4ème jour fait mais pas d'aspirateur de passer.
Cette résidence nous à gâcher nos fêtes de noël et notre pèlerinage au sanctuaire. On ne vous le recommande pas malgré son pas prix.

La struttura è in una zona molto silenziosa ma vicina al santuario. Pulizia sommaria, dovete chiedere alla reception tutto l’occorrente se volete cucinare. Non ci sono supermercati nelle vicinanze. Gentilezza massima del personale.

Nous avons séjourné dans un de leur Studio et avons étais satisfait au vu du prix des prestations. L’hotel est bien situé dans la ville car à 10/15 mins de tout, et il est simple de se garer a proximité.
