This apartment hotel is located between body shops. Close to a dining out area. Breakfast is very basiic. Some days due to low occupancy, they provided a food that looks like from previous day.
Room without any usb outlet . Shabby towels though clean looks like need to be replaced. Soap in size of a quarter and one liquid bottle that is a shampo/conditioner/body wash.
They are so cheap that I won’t return.

This property is basic but clean and safe. The staff is so friendly, helpful and accommodating. Jaffa is a little rough. You need to really watch out for yourself and your belongings. We almost got robbed while at the beach. Gratefully a man who was watching saved us. Just be cautious.

When my family and i arrived at the property a little before 12 AM we were pleasant surprised by the girl at the front desk. she was very helpful, nice and attentive. When we got to the rooms, in spite the fact that we requested and were promised two rooms, one for 3 people and 1 for 2 people, we realized that there were only room for 2 people in each room. Being late we didn't complained nor tried to change the rooms. The rooms were somehow cleaned but still dirty and very unpleasant. The breakfast was good, the stuff was veery helpful, but overall, seeing the dining room, with broken tables and discolored chairs made ll the experience, just dissatisfactory! We understand that the hotel could not do too much about the location, but every where around was dirty and full of graffiti! Above all, the most disappointed thing was that it was advertised as having airport shuttle but there was none. We had to pay almost $400.00 back and forth for transportation! Very disappointed! And worst of it is that when i emailed the hotel asking about details of the airport shuttle, i got no answer! Even today, a week after i sent the email, I still received no answer! I will never recommend Ruth Daniel Residence!

Arrived for an overnight stay. With it being a blazing hot day we arrived in the room with the air con not working. It took a couple of hours for this issue to be fixed. The room at best was below average and it looked tired. The wifi is rubblish The manager at reception and any other staff we spoke to at the hotel were amazingly friendly and helpful. I can not fault them.

It's a good location with access to main roads and close to Jaffa. They have bar and restaurant but they had not reopened from the pandemic, so I don't know if that is good. They are a site for many youth trips, so be prepared for noise in the halls and chaos in the lobby.

detailed information for choosing

the room was very clean, the reception staff very helpful and nice. excellent underground parking. however the safe was locked and there was no one around after arival who could open it. there was kettle and coffe in the room but no cups to drink, the was a lovely bath but no plug, towels are very small , but the receprion gave extra upon request. soap container in shower/bath empty.
so this very friendly clean economical accomodation falls down on its room preperation/supervision.

TERRIBLE - It's more like a motel worth $50/night

Terrible Ruth Daniel Residence motel. Not worth more than $50/night. Dirty, uncared for, no AC, no hot water, the window door stuck. I had to move rooms. Constructions and noise. The owners smoke in the reception area.

The AC gets stuck in the middle of the night and not maintenance... the AC stopped working on Sat and no maintenance....

It takes 4-5 of wasteful water to get some warm water in a dirty bath. 50/50 chance you'll get hot water. Everything is dirty and cheap.

The fountain you see in the picture doesn't exist.
The toilette was not cleaned and definitely not sterilized.

Nice hotel for sleeping only

If you are looking for a nice hotel, relatively clean and at a fair price for sleeping only in the Jaffa area, then this is the place. Excellent location and with the operation of the light rail the location will be even better. Beyond that, there is nothing to write home about. Just a hotel.

This is a perfect hotel for disable people. My mother on wheelchair could use a rest room and shower herself without our help. The hotel has a perfect location with a lot of small restaurants and shops around. The perfect breakfast was included in the nightly price. Only one thing I did not like it was the price for dinner. We did not include it when we made reservation and paid in the hotel then. Very high price for dinner and did not worth because nothing was special at all. The best choice to pay for the breakfast and eat outside at night.

There was mildew in the bathroom. It smelled bad. The AC didn't work well at all, and we couldn't sleep as a result. The breakfast was mediocre. The building and the rooms look nice, but the lack of maintenance and proper AC make this a cheap hotel for a reason.

One disadvantage about arriving on Shabbat was that we couldn’t check in until 6pm. We arrived early morning and were able to store our luggage. Fortunately it was a beautiful day and Tel Aviv proved very pleasant to walk around. Otherwise hotel was fine and price was reasonable.

Comfortable hotel, short walk to the old city.

Good service by front desk staff. Housekeeping/towel service NOT provided everyday, which was a surprise to us. Breakfast buffet was very so-so. No hit food and we were not permitted to use the coffee machine on Saturday/Shabbat, even though we are not Jewish.

Bad and rude attitude of the staff

The receptionist at the hotel was the rudest man I met in Israel
He had a bad attitude and made me feel very in Welcome . I asked him to call a cab for me and he ignored me and told me to go out wnd stand in the middle of the road to hail a cab. It was pouring and still this receptionist had no heart to help me .He was extremely rude and did not care how a tourist would get around
I we’ll never - never stay in this hotel and would advice others not to

Pleasant stay close to Old Jaffa

Room was spacious and bed was comfortable. Despite being on fairly busy road, it was quiet in the room. Very useful to have free parking available in the basement. Breakfast was okay, servers were willing and helpful. Lots of salads, bread, cheeses, cereal, pastas and cake, tea, coffee and soya milk. Hotel appeared clean and tidy. Fridge, tea/coffee and kettle in the room. Free bottle of mineral water and sweets on arrival. Toiletries in the bathroom. Overall a pleasant stay. Walking distance to Tel Aviv promenade and Jaffa.

No hot water

I stayed 2 nights here. I noticed that I could not get hot water from shower on 1st night, I asked the hotel staff to fix it while I'm out during day and they confirmed it will be fixed by my return. After I came back from my long business day, I needed to take hot nice shower, but I could not due to that it was not fixed at all.. I wont use this hotel anymore.

Oh man, where do I start. I should’ve taken some pictures while I was there but it was our last night and we just need a place to stay. It was very dirty, there were used towels left in the shower, the nightstand and a dresser had stains up on top. It needs a paint job, like the whole place needs to be painted. The trim around the door from the inside of the room is wearing down. The plus thing that I will say is that they were free parking which was downstairs but that seems very limited. Didn’t get a chance to try the breakfast in the morning but that’s included in the price the room. You get what you pay for so if you just need a quick place to stay this could be your place.

Idan behind the desk was amazing, very nice. Also, the breakfast was amazing, huge selection. The only thing was the rooms could've been a little more modernized and the A/C was sub-par. One morning we had to leave early and the hotel made us 2 to-go breakfast bags. I don't know anywhere else that would do that, I thought that was very gracious.

Service was excellent, helpful & polite all round from the reception desk, housekeeping to the dining room staff. Food was ample with a good range to choose from. Room was spacious, tidy & noise free with a quaint balcony. Only upset was advertised price was 1,320 nis but was charged 1,728 nis, the difference of 408 nis due to being charged at USD not NIS.

Abundance of food great location

I loved this place. At check in she took us up and let us choose between two rooms. The room was small but very comfortable. Loved the firm bed. Had fridge, electric kettle, bathroom amenities and a small balcony. There was construction going on next door but it was Friday and Saturday so it was quite. The breakfast was over the top sensational. Very close walk to eating and the beach and old town Jaffa.

Could easily be improved

The hotel is within easy walking distance of Yaffa and the beautiful Tel Aviv boulevard and this is a great plus!!! The hotel has a lot of potential, but the AC wasnt working and resulted in us not having a restful night. Evening reception was not friendly. Daytime reception was a lot better. Toilet had a leak but no one answered phone when we were trying to request more towels to clean up the leak.

Came with great expectations based on the pictures online, but there were some inaccuracies. The hotel was hard to find, there were no signs for the underground parking and the attendant was very unfriendly. I wouldn't recommend this place!

Skip Tel Aviv and go straight to Jerusalem

The hotel was friendly with extensive food for breakfast in interesting mix of guests, youth, soldiers, and regular tourists. There was one snarky guy at reception during the day who was unhelpful but the night shift lady was a gem who made up for it.

A very pleasant 5-day stay with a lovely fresh buffet breakfast included. Something to be desired in terms of breakfast consistency depending on who was running it...
Overall - good value and near to the historic Old Jaffa and not too far from central Tel Aviv.

Clean Hotel, Convenient Location

The hotel was clean and centrally located. Buses are right out front and it's a quick walk to the trendy cafes of Jaffa. Some of the staff is friendly, some is gruff. For The Tel Aviv-Jaffa area, this is good for the price.

It has free wi-fi only in the lobby. Wifi in the room is costly. This is a real drawback for a hotel with international clientele. It's very awkward skyping in public.

I recommend this hotel for it's cleanliness, basic comfort, and proximity to trendy cafes and restaurants, but I do hope they eventually add free wi-fi to the rooms.

A 2-star hotel

First room we got had a huge stain on the chair and a bunch of hairs on the bed sheets. We asked for replacement, and got a room with no hairs but same huge stain on the chair.. We ended up not using the chair.
Generally, room cleaning is in issue, once they simply forgot to bring us towels during the cleaning.
On the upside, location is great, breakfast is OK, and underground parking was very important for us.

A very basic hotel, not where google maps says it is. In the middle of a quiet, run down neighbourhood. Basic rooms with no internet. The staff dont speak great English and were all really quiet rude and unhelpful. I would not stay here again.

good place in Jaffa

This is a reasonably priced hotel to stay a walking distance to old Jaffa. It's a a few minutes drive to the Tel Aviv beaches. The breakfasts were good. Although the window was facing the square it was not too noisy.The room was comfortable. A small glitch at the reception during the check out did not spoil my overall impression. If I were in a hurry to the airport that would be really bad if the same thing happened. The hotel did not receive the reservation from the company subcontracted with hotels.com, the receptionist asked for my credit card and it took some time to straighten things out. It just showed some lack of professionalism on the part of young receptionists. But they are learning and mean well.

The staff were friendly. we stayed our 1st and last nights there. The morning of our flight home the hotel staff packed us an ample breakfast which was fresh and delicious. Overall this hotel compared more than favorably to the more expensive hotels included on our tour.

Address of hotel listed on hotels.com website is not the actual location of this property. Gps will take you to another part of town. Locals helped us locate hotel. Front desk was notified and they told us many others had same problem. If you can find this hotel it is actually a good value for the price.

A good, functional hotel

This was my first visit to Israel. I did not speak Hebrew but the staff at the Ruth Daniel Residence spoke fluent English and were incredibly helpful and friendly.

The hotel is within walking distance of the sea and of most areas of Tel Aviv. Taxis are readily available if you prefer not to walk. Our room was quiet - at the far end of the corridor. There were street noises and some cheering from the nearby football stadium, which prompted us to attend a match where we became supporters of Tel Aviv Maccabi! Tel Aviv is all about energy - don't go there if you are expecting a quiet holiday!

The hotel was clean and secure, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the location was great near the old port of Jaffa and the artist's quarter. It would not be agood location unless one had a car (parking for free is provided). The breakfasts were included and were generous, Israeli and North American food.

Efficient Hotel

It was an efficient hotel. I had many requirements, and they met them all. Although the bed I slept in was not too comfortable, I think that is according to my tastes. The bedroom was always kept clean. I really cannot complain about the service, and I encourage them in the path they take. The hotel is located close to Jaffa and the coast. And by car its not far from the center of Tel-Aviv either. There was a protest outside the hotel in the square, but despite it, I was not bothered by it and I did not hear much noise. But on the bad side, in my case, I was unable to have breakfast twice while I was there. I had to leave early each morning. I wish I could have got something to eat, and also I had payed to have breakfast at the hotel. However to be fair, I didn't ask them if they could arrange somethig for me instead. This was a very good hotel and my parents are considering it as an option as well as do I for next we consider going to Tel-Aviv.

Hotel was very difficult to find. When we did find it however, we were pleasantly surprised. Nice place doesnt look much like hotel but it is very clean and rooms are very basically appointed. I would return given the value.

This was not a good evperience. There was no help available to carry the gaggage from the street into the hotel and to the room.The rooms are very basic with poor quality towls.there was no functioning telephone in the room. Breakfast was OK. The staff was helpful. the hotel is suitable for young people who are looking for a relatively inexpensive place to stay with basic service. The price is not low but relatively inexpensive compared to hotels in Tel Aviv which are severly overpriced.

Hotel is located near the large flea market area in Jaffa, where there are a lot of cafes outside at night. We walked to the sea and Carmel Market, but it was a good half hour/45 minute walk...so be prepared if you're tired. Longer walk to Tel Aviv, but you can take public transportation if inclined. Hotel itself was nice - clean and quiet. One of the nicer ones we stayed at on our trip. Free underground parking was great.

The hotel is located very close to old yaffo and about 1 km away from the beach front. The breakfast buffet was simple but great (everything you need for a perfect Israeli breackfast). On Thursdays there is a open air market fair in yaffo just across from the hotel. You can walk to THE TACHANA and even to the beach.

Avoid this hotel!!!

Poor service, the TV was not working and maintenance did not turn up in despite of reception promises, there was no soap in the shower,bedside lamps were unplugged, and the worst: the mould in the shower and the horrible smell of the beding and the room.
Avoid this hotel at all costs!!!!!
