Exceptional staff, magnificent boutique hotel

Personalized, friendly service and the staff contantly did things that amazed us. The location is great, the people were the best ever!! I wish we had known about the Spa service, I would have planned to enjoy their services.

This hotel has a New York vibe to it. Staff is amazing, there is wine and water in your room. Comfy bed, the only negative is small room but this would not stop us from staying there next time we are in. Tel Aviv.

The Brown is a great hotel. The staff friendly, the lobby inviting, the covered patio with free wine, coffee, cookies and soup, lovely. My only complaint is that the rooms were exceptionally small, so small that one of our rooms, the door opened into the nightstand.

A hipster hotel (in American terms :-)

With the exception of one miscommunication (that affected the person who was picking me up after check out), the communication was excellent with front-desk staff. They were all very helpful and fun to talk with.

I enjoyed the room--it had the feeling of an upscale hotel. One cautionary note (not a bad thing, but just be aware): If you want to use the lovely roof-top jacuzzi, you should make sure you plan in advance and ask the front desk to help you...because it does not have an internal heater and thus, it has to be filled with hot water before you use it. It is a lovely experience and worth the wait for it to fill up!

Good Option in Tel Aviv

The Brown Hotel is a nice, but slightly dated \"boutique\" hotel located next to many great restaurants and bars in Tel Aviv. The staff are incredibly friendly and they offer breakfasts from local restaurants instead of trying to make breakfast themselves. The hotel fills a bit dated and the rooms are very small but was also a great value.

I stayed for business but they made it pleasure.

Great stay in a great location, steps from Rothschild and steps from Neve Tzedek. 10 minute walk to the beach. They do a really neat thing for the included breakfast: you can eat at any of five nearby restaurants. This gets you out into the neighborhoods and the quality is better than any in-house hotel breakfast. Service was very good.

Staff all extremely helpful, friendly and willing to go out of their way to make our stay special. Excellent and unique services such as offering breakfast in different cafes around town (all varied and superb quality), offering bikes to ride around, pop up shop in lobby, yoga on the roof etc. Hot tub on the roof is really nice, and the terrace in general is a really nice spot. Great spa as well.

We had some technical problems in the room which were taken care off by the stuff. The cleaning lady opened the door while we were sleeping, which shouldn't happen in a small boutique hotel. Other then that we really enjoyed the place. We might return.

It was overall a good stay. I like their complimentary wine on our first night there.
We like the staffs there, very friendly, especially the night shift staff, he made great suggestion to us for tour and carried great conversations.

I wish the sofa in the room can be cleaner, it has stains on it, but of course if it's made of different material or color, we will not see it, just that I notice this. The room was painted in mocha color, although I knew it from the pictures on the website, it does seem quite dark when I finally saw it live. But things are well maintained.

There was a electricity shortage on the morning we checked out, I wish they have some kind of backup electricity power thing, but I'm sure they've done their best.

Taste of Tel Aviv

After a family trip to Jerusalem I wanted to see a little of Tel Aviv before leaving Israel. This hotel was perfectly situated for a long walk on the beach, a stroll through Jaffa and an excellent meal on the beach. The staff were very helpful and planned the perfect day for me. Breakfast was included but not at the hotel. There was a choice of 4 cafes. It took a while to find it but what a treat in the old city.

This hotel has amazing staff. They are super friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make you feel at home. This was my 2nd stay here and will come back. The regular rooms are small, though they have larger options, but they are well appointed, clean with excellent beds, bedding, etc. Wi-fi functions without a glitch. The price is reasonable relative to other hotels I checked out, so great value. Once they put in a restaurant, I suspect they will once again have a happening bar. Location is excellent. Highly recommend if you want a boutique hotel.

Little Gem in a great location

Arrived really tired on a Thursday afternoon, when I got there my room was ready, check-in went very fast. They were really superb. They recommended some fantastic local restaurants, everything just went so smoothly and all of the staff were really fantastic! The location was amazing with some fantastic restaurants and breakfast places in the area, two of which the hotel uses. Definitely will stay here again when I visit!

My stay at the Brown TLV Urban Hotel was absolutely amazing from the moment I arrived. The hotel's staff was extremely welcoming, friendly, informative and helpful. Upon checking in at the Brown I was slightly shocked to see how small my room was, for the low rate I guess it was to be expected. There was a nice bottle of wine & chocolates waiting for me in my room which was nice. That being said, there was a slight cleanliness issue with my bathroom upon check-in, upon calling down to the front desk they immediately sent someone up to clean my bathroom again. When I returned to my room that evening I was notified by management that I would be compensated by the hotel for the inconvenience, which was very nice of them.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to a younger crowd. It is in a great location surrounded by wonderful shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel gift shop is WONDERFUL! They have a great bar on the main floor of the hotel with delicious snacks and drinks. The hotel staff is beyond helpful and educated as to the neighborhood and friendly.

Best service I have ever received. Staff are fantastic and can't do enough for you. Location is excellent. Rooms are clean and nicely appointed, but standard rooms are quite small. I ordered a deluxe room, but when there was a plumbing problem, they gave us (my daughter and I) 2 rooms, a free dinner and included breakfast. Would return in a heartbeat, but to a deluxe room for the size.

Manager was very kind as there were problems with the room and he did his best to make amends for that. Bartenders Michelle and Karin were exceptional. Reception (with the exception of one woman whose name I forget and who was quite competent helping her colleagues figure out what to do) was quite confused and inexperienced.

Great service great location great property this place is very cool and would not stay anywhere else in TelAviv. I love the morning coffee cafe concept, we chose Lulu which was prefect. The staff recommended MIZLALA for dinner which has now secured a position in my all time top 10 restaurants from around the globe. Chef Meir Adonai is truly a culinary artist. Thanks Brown's for helping us discover some of the hidden secrets of TelAviv we will back.

Really cool hotel, and with the added bonus of a roof-top sundeck - with views across the city - which we made full use of! The \"classic\" room was a bit cramped for our liking but we moved to a larger room which was just the ticket.
The staff were extremely helpful. There are no breakfast facilities in the hotel. You get a voucher to go to a choice of local cafes. Lulu was the best.
There were building works opposite which were a bit noisy - early morning. But we would go back. Loved it.

This place was perfect for what it was. Excellent service and cleanliness. Friends loved and enjoyed the roof deck at night. The reason I do not give this place 5 stars are that the rooms are small and tight. That said, if you don't need a lot of space or if you're traveling alone, this place was close to perfect.

quite comfortable bed and shower although room is a bit tight and needs a little minor upkeep (paint mostly). Hotel service was great (reception, bar, etc.). Location is conveniently near Rothschild, but on a quiet street. Quite happy with the stay overall. The only complaint is that the walls/doors are quite thin so you can hear everything in the hallway (including the 70s soundtrack). Normally not a big deal but as I arrived in the middle of the night, was looking forward to sleeping in - the hallway noise prevented that (perhaps bc the room was by the elevator). Otherwise, suited my needs and would stay again.

Amazing staff resolved a small-ish issue extremely well; they couldnt have been more accommodating & helpful.
Beautiful surroundings but dont hang in your compact room as the sun-roof is amazing, with hot tub & comfy seating. Great soulful music plays all day to add to te very cool ambience throughout.

Great personalized hotel service!

I stay at hotels very frequently, at least every 2 weeks, and this is the best hotel experience I've had. The staff were amazing and very accommodating, and the perks that came with the hotel were great (roof deck Jacuzzi, champagne at happy hour, free bike rental, free museum pass). The room definitely wasn't big, but it was very comfortable and came with a bathrobe and slippers, and two showerheads (one a rain shower). I thought the amenities were really great, and highly recommend this hotel.

This was disappointing, as we had heard good things.

Brown's try's to be Tel Aviv's answer to the SF hipster hangout Clift Hotel from the early days, and just doesn't make it...

Rooms are tiny, with bizarre glass enclosed bathroom. The staff is inexperienced, especially in the bar/restaurant where we had a horrible experience... despite the olives in Israel, they don't seem to know how to put into a Martini, despite explaining this to four people..

Front desk satff very solicitous and apologetic...not inexpensive for result

It was was so small that I had to put some of the furniture out on the terrace. I don't know how two people could have survived in that small space.

I dont usually write reviews but we had such a horrible experience. The room was very small, but after reading the other reviews we were prepared for this. To start with, it was the middle of August and the air con wasn't working very well. We asked someone to fix it and he said there wasn't anything they could do. So we slept in the small box of a room and I woke up in the middle of the night sweating and uncomfortable. I took a cold shower just to cool down and be able to sleep. Also the Internet and television went off in the evening and didn't come back on until an hour before we checked out the next day. Each time a problem came up we headed downstairs to talk to the desk. Often there was no one there, but when there was someone there we were met we looks of inconvenience and annoyance.
I will never stay here again.

One of the nicest hotels I've ever stayed at. The staff are incredibly helpful and friendly, the breakfast that is included is at one of five area restaurants and the staff at the hotel gives good recommendations. When we arrived they had champagne waiting for us. In the morning you have complimentary coffee of your choice outside on the veranda. 5 minute walk to the beach. Truly a remarkable hotel with so many extras!!!!!!

The staff were just fantastic. One of the best hotel teams I've met. As for the hotel itself, the aircon was noisy and could not be turned off, so I left the hotel early. The hotel has character, but the dark brown makes is look sombre and dowdy. Shame, but that was the impression I am taking with me. Also, compared with other hotels, this one was expensive for what was offered. But, as I said, the staff was brilliant.

illogical luxury

everything was ok-- but the concept of the place goes a little too far. for one, there are motown and 70s hits streaming out of every orifice. literally in every hallway and every lounge. starting at 8 in the morning and ending at 10pm. and i truly resent being made to hear my precious stevie wonder cheapened by having been relegated to muzak status in the elevator. seriously. second, it says they offer breakfast, but they don't. third, they try to make up for that with a free bottle of pretty decent wine, but there are no snacks on hand and i got really hungry as well as drunk. fourth, the say you can get a free coffee to manage your wine hangover downstairs in the morning, but the bar is almost never open. except after 8 at night, at which point i might as well go straight to wine again. that being said, the place is in a great hood and you don't have to go far to get decent coffee, snacks or whatever. but at 200 bucks a night, a little room service would go a long way.

Over the years I have stayed at many small hotels in TLV and around Israel, but Brown is by far the best. From the staff (so friendly and accomadating) to the well designed space, Brown TLV was a outstanding. I arrived early, but was given a glass of Cava and a chair on the patio while a room was prepared for me. The room was small (it's TLV), but well appointed. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the location is great. For breakfast, I had my choice of 4 restaurants in walking distance and from there it was easy to walk to many popular areas. I'll definitely return.

My Room wasn't ready when I arrived (I was very early) so I was invited to stay in the Reception lobby area and help myself to fruit, coffee and pastries. This gave me an opportunity to check out the hotel and the type of guests that used it. All good.
The aesthetic is urban chic, and works well, although it could do with a bit more style injection.

Whilst I was sitting there, the floor was cleaned regularly and I found the staff very polite, cheerful and helpful.
When I shown to my room, it did not disappoint.

The hotel reminded me of 60 Thompson in NYC, except not as polished or on that scale. My stay at Brown was short but I certainly made the right choice. I felt the pitch was about right and it was commensurate with the price. It's location is in the rag trade district so it's not especially glamorous, but it is central to all that's good about Tel Aviv and within walking distance of good Bars, restaurants, The White City, the beach etc....

I have since sent other members of my team from the UK there to stay and will return there to stay myself whilst I have business in Tel Aviv.

Jeg sjekket inn etter kl 21 og personalet skrev melding til meg og ga meg instruks hvordan jeg kommer inn på hotellet og på mitt rom.. det var veldig greit. Stedet er veldig senralt. Det finnes en bussholdeplass som er i nætheten. På kvelden blir det ute restaurant langs gata som er bare 50m unna. Veldig koselig mange forskjellige type folk -unge, eldre- som sitter og spiser og drikker..det er butikker i nærheten og det går an å gå til stranden..
Rommet var fint men litt gammelt. har bra AC.. de har også spa og massasje..

Situé dans un des quartiers les plus branchés et plein de charle on s'y sent tout de suite á l'aise
Montez au roof top pour la vue , les matelas et le jacuzzi .
N'hésitez pas á utiliser les vélos mis á dispo par le Brown pour visiter la ville
2 minutes á vélo du marché , 5 min á vélo des plages .
Le personnel est charmant et efficace , la déco et le confort du lobby pousse á la détente

מלון מומלץ מאד עם שירות מצוין ורק החדר קצת קטן...

מלון מצוין, עם שירות טוב מאד ויחס טוב ומאד פתוח. מאד נעים שכל הזמן אפשר לשתות קפה ויין ולאכול מרק וכד' שמוגשים חינם. החיסרון היחידי היה גודל החדר, שהיה קצת קטן מדי. פרט לכך מאד מומלץ.

impossible de bouger , impossible d'ouvrir 2 valises ,de la tête du lit à la salle de bains 1m

vitre dépolie et WC à l'intérieur .........

Although the room was a bit small, the staff was always ready to help and nice (they prepared my room 5 hours ahead of the normal check-in time), location is good next to Neve Tzedek, Rothschild Blvd with its many shops. I've had a really good time at Brown TLV.

Fräscht och modernt hotell men opraktiskt

Gillade hotellet och dess fräscha design. Dock inget hotell man spenderar tid på utan endast en sovplats. Litet plus för Bluetooth-högtalaren på rummet och välkomspaket med choklad och vin.

Minus var att rummet var lyhört mot gatan så jag blev väckt flera ggr på natten av trafik och annat. Dessutom var rummet väldigt litet, mindre än vad jag är van vid på ett svenskt genomsnittshotell. Deras lösning med en reception som bestod av ett skrivbord och några stolar var rätt värdelös. Det gjorde att bemanningen alltid var som mest två personer och det blev trångt framför receptionen med gäster/bagage. Hotellet serverade heller ingen frukost.
