This hotel was good. I stayed here and it did everything you need a hotel to do and nothing you don't. Would be nice if it had a coffee shop or breakfast area attached but it was fine. It was a little hard to find though and the specific street wasn't as nice as others that I've stayed on in Tel Aviv. Overall, id stay here again.

I had a great time and can recommend this place, provided travellers are aware they don't actually provide everything their listing claims. I'll address these first and then list the nice stuff.
There is no airport shuttle: they will call you a taxi, which was an additional USD60 each way; although they refused to do this inbound and so I had to find one myself.
There are not laundry facilities on site, I was directed to an unsecured public laundromat three blocks away.
Although I didn't select breakfast, this also isn't actually offered in the hotel: your $25 becomes a voucher to be used at a nearby cafe.
Despite these annoyances, the staff were wonderful, facilities excellent and location fantastic; so much of interest is within a few km so perfect for a walking holiday.
Junior room was fine for a solo traveller, but wouldn't suit a couple (it might as well have a king single TBH).
Although there are several great cafes nearby, none are cheap, so having a great coffee machine in the lobby was very handy! Also, divine cookies!

This is a fantastic small hotel in a great location. The staff are warm & helpful . It is an easy place to land in Tel Aviv with the beach, shops & restaurants all in walking distance.

The hotel is in a great location and could potentially have a fabulous roof terrace! It is small hotel and the staff were friendly, however they seem to have a shortage of bath towels and not to keen on supplying more when requested.The reason for the low scoring is that the walls between the rooms are so thin we could hear the conversations between the other guests in the room next door and they weren't even talking loudly. The windows and frames are terrible and I actually thought they were open as you could hear the traffic as though it was in the bedroom. The corridors aren't well insulated and you can hear ever sound and doors closing.The roof terrace is the biggest issue. The sunbeds are all ripped or broken, there are exposed screws on the arm rests (where the wooden arm pieces once where) which are dangerous as you could cut yourself. The decking has screws popping up so you could again cut your feet and the other furniture was absolutely rank! It is a massive shame and does not need a fortune spending on the area to make it presentable- probably about £5 -6k is all it would take. Come on Shenkin management team you can do better!!

After trying airbnb in neve Zedek that was filthy and didn’t match the pictures, we evacuated to this hotel, the staff were amazing very helpful, nice, super services oriented. We loved the small jesters like the bubbly wine, cookies, coffee, fruits and snacks, the rooftop was fun, the jacuzzi was 2 small and didn’t feel clean enough but it was the end of the day. We received tiny room without any view or space to put our suitcases, I know the hotel was over booked and they did tried to move us to another room day after we arrived, but we were so tired of moving so we decided to stay in the tiny room. I would recommend this charming hotel for short stay and make sure what room you booked. The crew were amazing and made me feel great, safe and clean. The sheets were cotton and quality, just great. The common area were life saver because the size of our room, but it was charming. Few things I would recommend to the owner:

2. larger rooms
3. better insolation, sometimes I thought the rooms’ door was opened but it wasn’t because I could hear everything.
4. The common area was charming but need upgrade, paint, furnitures, pots and plants, more swing chairs and better configuration.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were really the best part of the whole experience. The standard double room was clean but very small, with a tiny window looking into another building and someone's tiny \"backyard\". The Hotel description was somewhat misleading about the breakfast. Well, they kind of have it, but not in the hotel. You'd get a voucher and have to walk for about 5 min to a nearby caffee, which opens at 8am.. which is kind of OK, unless you are on a business trip and every 5 min count. So I had to choose between breakfast and catching my flight.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Our room was small but the biggest issue was the climate control. The room was overly warm for sleeping and the advice from the front desk was to open a window. It's not a quiet area (fine with the windows closed) but especially at the price they were charging one should not have to choose between too warm or too noisy for sleeping

I have stayed at the Shenkin hotel numerous times. The location is fantastic, the people are warm and friendly and the tel is clean and comfortable. The drawback is that the rooms are tiny with very little closet space. So, that is perfect for a quick solo stay BUT if you are a couple and have meaningful luggage it is tight.

We really enjoyed our stay at Shenkin Hotel. The staff was great. Free glasses of champagne upon arrival was a nice touch. The room, though small was quite comfortable. Really liked the high tech frosted glass that gave the bathroom some privacy. Would definitely visit the Shenkin again.

A pleasant stay overall. Rooms are fine but very small..I was alone so wasn’t really an issue. Staff very helpful. Booked a massage...the best way I can describe it is weird. Wouldn’t recommend that. And the old CD player being used during the massage was clicking loudly with each rotation of the disc..and the music was...weird. Not relaxing.

Shenkin - A Disappointing Stay
The room pictures which we based our selection on were decieving. The room was extremely small. The HVAC could not be regulated to make the room cooler
The shower leaked severely into the bathroom, creating a major safety hazard. My fiancee slipped in the bathroom and injured her back.
Breakfast was not provided for an early departure for the airport.
Very dissappointing for the price. We had stayed elsewhere in Tel Aviv in comparably priced properties and had a much better experience.

Clean, comfortable, stylish and well located. Very unobtrusive and helpful staff. Almost too quiet. A great place to lie low and escape the bustle of Tel Aviv, but don’t expect the hotel to be a focal point of your visit. I only saw a couple of other guests during my three day stay. The addition of a small bar on the beautiful rooftop or in the garden area would liven up the place up a bit.

I stayed in Shenkin hotel 4 nights. No breakfast in a hotel. They offered vouchers for $15 to somewhere else to eat. It doesn’t make any sense. There is a Kofix just steps away from the hotel (the cheap kofe shop).
The hotel offers tea and kofe 24 hours in a nice terrace. Some cookies are there too.
I enjoyed a complimentary bottled water and a little bottle of local wine on arrival.
One thing I would definitely wish I had - a light blanket on my bed. There was a very warm comforter and nothing else. It was hot.

Great and enjoyable experience
We had a very pleasant stay at Shenkin Hotel last week. The hotel is new, stylish and clean. Although the hotel is a bit small, but they provide everything you need. One of the best is that they provide a 24hr free coffee corner, which you can relax and have a nice coffee whenever you like. Moreover, the breakfast arrangement is also very good, they offer 3-4 high quality café nearby for your choice, which is way much better than I expected. I will definitely choose this hotel again for my next visit in Tel Aviv!

Very welcoming staff. Our initial room was too small, but once we upgraded to a larger room we were very satisfied. (Of course had to pay extra). Sophisticated modern place. Nice touch - outdoor area with free coffee and biscuits. They provide extra towels for going to the beach.

A very chic boutique Hotel inear the hipster Shenkin area. We enjoyed a quite evening on the veranda.

Nice, clean, quiet hotel; excellent location; some of the front desk people no very friendly. If you need to buy a tour it's better to contact a travel agency because besides giving you the brochure, they won't help you much. Nice coffee and tea with cookies 24/7. There is a terrace but they never showed it to me. However, they showed me the coffee room before they showed me my room. They have rooms for persons with disabilities but they charge 30 USD extras, as if they punish you for having a disability.
