The hotel is stunning, with beautiful views and nearly meets European and U.S. service standards. However, staff were kind but poorly trained, and the service was inconsistent, below expectations for a Leading Hotels of the World .

Hotel information was unreliable, we were told no restaurants were open on Saturday, but two in fact were.
Lastly, the noise levels at the pool and restaurant were uncomfortably high, unusual for a supposed five-star hotel.

I understand this property has ancient history connected to it. When i came in the smell was overpowered with rose and misty. I booked for the dinner at the restaurant. No one wanted to serve me. The saving grace was the kind and caring manager who was willing to take care of everything. At that point i was so disappointed i left. The next night i stayed, i had class. I returned and tried to order myself a fruit plate from the late night menu. They told me the restaurant was closed they will call me to see what they can do. No one called so i went down to reception. Of which the person on call was kind and caring. He tried to get me a fruit plate. When the waitress came she told me she was afraid glass may be in the fruit. There was a plate that dropped earlier and she couldnt in good conscience serve it. I gave the 3 stats because of the 2 people that went out of their way to help me.

The Setai is conveniently located in old town Jaffa right on the beach. It’s a beautiful hotel with history and amazing architecture. The food was great and the bartenders Victoria and Hanna were brilliant. Our only compliant is with the concierge. There was confusion that turned to hostility. And now we have a concierge in Jerusalem to compare them too and I’d rate Setai zero in this area.

The Setai Tel Aviv is a beautiful historic hotel that has been renovated to preserve its history while offering beautiful, modern spaces to guests. It’s conveniently located for walking to restaurants in Jaffa, Florentin and Neve Tzedek. The staff are professional and go out of their way to provide excellent service on every dimension. We relied heavily on Elizabeth in the concierge to help us with excursions with private guides and she went out of her way to help us. Our stay at The Setai was amazing!

Such a beautiful hotel with all the right amenities! The bar and sushi restaurant was great, the breakfast buffet and service was wonderful, the music in the garden on Tues night was perfect, the pool was stunning…the list goes on and on. The one thing that stands out the most, however, was the exceptional customer service! The front desk and concierge are beyond kind and helpful along with the entire hotel staff. Alex (manager), Rachel (front desk), Elizabeth (concierge), Vincent (valet), Maya (hostess) and Ziad (breakfast dining and outdoor bar) made me feel extra special and went above and beyond to make sure I had an amazing stay, which I did. I didn’t want to leave. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel and give it 10/10!

Liked location. Disliked mold in shower, dried blood stains on sheets and access to the pool which is difficult. Also disliked how room was maintained. Glasses had to be washed by us and we had to “steal” toilet paper from the carts in the hallway. On the last day had to use tissues to go to the bathroom.

The Setai was one of the most beautiful hotels i have ever stayed in. The old ottoman building is preserved in a stunning way. The food was absolutely delicious and plentiful the service was beyond excellent. They upgraded our room and service and could not have been nicer. The location cannot be beat. Right by the sea and next to old jaffa. We lived every minute. Thank you to all the Setai staff for such a wonderful weekend.
