Lovely hotel - really clean rooms, comfy beds and lovely Occitaine toiletries. Had all the amenities we needed. Nice surprise that the Tv was mainly British channels so we watched a little before bed. We had breakfast included in our package - recommend as it was very filling. My teen loved the waffle maker. The location worked brilliantly for us - and was so quiet - using the metal steps up and down to town (from behind the synagogue to Rub 23) but not so good if you had mobility issues. The airport bus dropped and collected right outside. Lovely foyer/lounge and the hot chocolates are highly recommended - made by the lovely Polish guy on reception who was so friendly. If you choose not to have your room cleaned one day - you get credit to spend in the bar etc.

Staff are friendly. Breakfast is great. Close to town center so many dining options. Town is very scenic. Guest can sign up to receive Aurora call if they spot one. Room is a bit small though, and only one lift for a hotel with many rooms.

I stayed at the hotel for a few days after being released from the hospital after surgery on a broken ankle. I stayed while waiting for my travel insurance to arrange transportation back home in the United States. The staff were all so nice and helpful since it was not easy for me to get around. Someone was always willing to help me fix a plate at breakfast since I was using a walker and could not carry anything. And they did it with a smile!

Fairly decent hotel in a small town in the North. The lobby was nice and restaurant fairly decent. Not many vegan/vegetarian options and the seafood pasta was strange. Good place for steak or a burger. Maybe fish. Hotel room was very average, almost like a dorm room

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful Akureyri! Restaurants and shops within walking distance. A great pool facility (not part of hotel) across the street if you are traveling with children.

Rooms were comfortable and clean. Our family room was perfect for the 4 of us. Staff very kind and helpful prior and during our visit.

Really disappointed with the front desk at check-in. Slow not very welcoming and lack of communication. I paid for the tax at check in to find out that it didn’t process there was no attempt to contact us and let us know. Rooms were clean and comfortable

The hotel was OK but the Internet service was terrible, almost unusable at times. This is unacceptable for a hotel of this class. Furthermore, they offered a premium wifi upgrade listed as free, but then asked for a credit card or room charge.

Good for overnight or local base.

Free parking outside hotel. Hotel is about 10 mins walk to main street in town where there are numerous restaurants so didn’t eat dinner there. It's also about 10 mins walk from the Botanical Gardens.

Our room was on the side facing one of the roads and we could hear noisy bikes and boy racers in their cars until very late at night but thankfully quiet in early Saturday morning. The room is spacious and was clean with comfortable beds. The black out curtains fill the windows, though light inevitably comes in under window level as the curtains do not come down to floor level. The design is a bit weird in that above the bed is a shelving unit, fixed at a height that makes it difficult to sit up in bed. A partition wall behind the pillow end of the bed has doorways either side of the bed with the washbasin/wc (with a sliding glass door) on one side and a shower enclosure with curtain at the other. The consequence is that the room becomes humid when someone showers unless you open the windows as the extractor is ineffective.

Breakfast had a reasonable range of items and levels were stocked up.

Beautiful view of snow capped mountains. Nice hotel. Our room was a bit odd with the bathroom split and very near the bed of the bed. Couch was a bit aged and dirty. Chairs were a bit aged. No prepared coffee in the lobby. Nice water bottle filling station in the lobby.

Walk to downtown was nice past swimming lol, church and museum. Only a few blocks down hill and of course uphill on the way back.

Lovely restaurants, shops, and bakery. Back packers Bar and Stykid were highlights. Very nice little town.

No complaints about staying here. It was a great hotel. My one issue is that they don’t have blackout curtains that work. They’re short and allow a lot of light in, which is really unfortunate if you’re staying during the midnight sun when the sun never sets.

the hotel was very nice. Very modern, decorated lobby with lots of seating. Bar was nice as well. Room was very nice, we had a couch that we could use to put our luggage on. Very quiet. I like when the sink is outside of the toilet area so two people can get ready more easily. The shower area and toilet area was very small and it was easy for the water from the shower to get over by the toilet and there was no drain on that side

This was a good property for us. Close enough to walk to the city center but not in the heart so a little less noisy perhaps. One busy street along the hotel but not bad after say 11 pm. We dined here and it was excellent. The dining staff was particularly friendly and really made our anniversary dinner special. We would stay at this hotel again.

It’s only about 2 blocks from downtown, which is really nice! It was a very easy check in, they do need your passport number if you’re checking in, but that’s easy. The bar in the lobby is very nice great selection!

We stayed at 3 Berjaya hotels and of them, this was our least favorite. Most notably, there was a strange smell in the room (I think because of the shower?) that reminded me of wet dog. The shower also was clogged so it would fill up to your ankles and I’d worry about it spilling over into our room.

Besides this, the lobby of the hotel was very nice, as was the staff. Comfortable beds and blankets. Also offered to wake us up in case of northern lights, all we had to do was put our room # on a list!

Nice to get free parking and lovely relaxing ambiance in the bar - we did book due to the picture of the outside area and fire and sofas to relax, sadly it was all closed up and couldn’t use - that and the hill from town was the only thing that let a great stay down

Nice hotel in Akureyri but no hot tub.

This hotel is well positioned near a public pool....which would have been nice had we had time to take advantage of it. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a hot tub on property. We decided not to eat in the restaurant, but the hotel restaurant seemed to be very popular. I would recommend that you make a reservation for the restaurant in advance if you plan on eating there.

Breakfast choices were extensive. Breakfast did cost $30 per person, but food in restaurants in Iceland is expensive.
