Fantastic quiet spot (away from the crowded area like Kuta): prestine clear water; safe harbors waist height water (during low tides) perfect for beginners to swim and snorkeling (watershoes strongly recommended due to rocky bottom). Even high tide is only about 5 feet deep. Hotel resort has nice environment, spacious room and great price ($25 usd/night) during my booking.

Lovely setting but we had no hot water at all and my sons room the toilet leaked all over the floor. They obviously knew about this as the water to the toilet was turned off when we arrived. The pool was a green colour and at one stage had a Band-Aid floating in it.

great stay on the edge of the ocean

ketut was very helpful and friendly, the superior room with air con was great, we had a small fridge, the standard room smelled very much of mold so we moved to superior room.
the pool had extremely too much smell of chlorin so it was not possible to swim or stay next to it, but the ocean was beautiful to swim in and view was amazing

This hotel has a stunning view, infinity pool right on the ocean. The resturant is right next to the pool so it also has a good view. The free breakfast is really decent, and there are a few choices. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful which was lovely. There’s a supermarket/convenience store within short walking distance, spas, restaurants, and other hotels, all a short walk away.
The outdoor bathroom was really cool.

Perhaps expected - but no excuses. Give it a miss

We had read the reviews left by others before we booked - so we were not too surprised to find this resort run-down and managed by inexperienced staff. We took the chance and stayed 4 nights, as the rest of our month in Bali had been in classier hotels and private villas and it was just a short stay.
But we found the attitude of staff to be clearly a case of \"We've given up!\" They were mostly apologetic for the state of the resort.
The owner has NO care to maintain the property - gardens are not cared for, bungalows are tired, run-down and in desperate need of some TLC. The pool was green and slimy (for 4 days, despite daily assurances it would be OK tomorrow) - we gave it a big miss! The restaurant is closed for anything other than a very ordinary (included) breakfast or a beer. The deck along the seafront is rotted and a little dangerous in spots. WiFi is non-existent in the \"deluxe\" bungalows - so we sat on the verandah of a basic room outside reception each morning - not a problem as only two rooms were occupied throughout our stay!
Its cheap but its definitely not cheerful!
A special salute to the lazy guy in reception - when we asked if he could assist with my wife's baggage he sent a 45kg 16year old girl to lug it out, rather than get off his comfy chair! Ultimately, we shamed him into it!
The saving grace was the restaurant immediately to the right at the top of the laneway entrance to the \"hotel\" - amazing food, great staff and great value!

Beautiful property staff did what they could do with aging property. Needs to have some money put in for upgrades to rooms. Friendly staff nice view no beach though. Owner looked like a tyrant She really needs to put some money in this place. Love the laid back Candidasa area. The place only had 2 rooms rented out including us Asked for upgrade and they wanted double my booking price. Would go back to Candidasa but not here unless renovation happens. Feel bad for staff as they did amazing But they can’t fix the place up by themselves

This is my second time here. Great location and superb outlook to the ocean and beyond. Gardens and landscaping are very tranquil. The bungalow's are well positioned and very nice inside. The staff are fabulous and very friendly. On the negative side the outdoor bathroom facilities could do with a make over. The air conditioner in the room was poor, could do with replacement. The decking around the pool and decking where the sun lounges are set up is in desperate need of maintenance as very rough to walk on and a lot of boards are loose. On the whole DTunjung is well priced however I doubt that I will return for a third visit.

Beautiful place by the beach.

The hotel staff was always very helpful and cared about the us in 24/7. The view was fantastic and so much to try and explore around this area. The food in the resort was fantastic. Pool been cared and cleaned and the room was always clean. I loved it.

Was rather disappointed on arrival although staff were friendly and helpful but initial appearance was the grounds were unkept - although the bungalows looked beautiful and full of character. We had a bathroom with a bath which was absolutely filthy stained and generally the bathroom was old and tired. The patio area and sunbeds were shocking - splintered wood broken and falling to pieces so looked really shabby and unkept and so did the sunbeds with ripped dirty plastic cushions. There was no beach as shown in pictures just a tiny bit of sand where they launched all the fishing boats next to the lotus lagoon so was disappointed as we wanted to swim in the sea and was only able to go in when the tide was fully out and enter by the hotels steps straight into the sea as it was too rough otherwise. The food was lovely and very reasonable and staff in the restaurant were friendly.

Extremely disappointed, Pool was not working (green) air conditioner in room 1 just worked. In room 2 didn't work at all, complained got a rusted fan. Everything is run down and in need of repair. Bath leaked. Complained to reception, who informed us he rang the owner, who is Chinese, and was told he didn't care. So our long awaited 3 day stay, turned into 1 night.

The pictures for this hotel do not do it justice, it's so much prettier! The breakfast is good with a choice between Indonesian food or typical breakfast food (toast, bacon, egg etc) staff were very friendly and our room was cleaned every day! You get a cold glass of orange juice on arrival which was really nice! Can hire scooters from the hotel which was really handy for getting around and for a good price! Overall had a great stay!

Nice pool overlooking the beach.

An affordable luxury. Staying in this hotel was very breathtaking after quite a long scooter ride from Denpasar. The staffs are very helpful and very friendly. The cleanliness, the quietness & the view are the main points of my pleasant stay. I will definitely go back to D Tunjung again whenever I came back to Candidasa. However, seems the pool needs to be more maintained, the water was not really clear when I was there, but apart from it, everything is perfect!

We enjoyed the stay in this place. Bungalows are nice with private opened to sky lavatories :)
Breakfast is allright also other meal. Hotel staff verx friendly and helpfull. Location of this hotel is good, 40m from main road so you cant hear the noise. Also around are some restaurants and market. Idela position to stay here.

Great location to main shopping, bars and restaurants. Gardens and setting just so majestic, such a beautiful environment with the bungalows all set within. Great size pool with awesome views looking out across the ocean. Breakfast is very good, with basic buffet, or from the menu.

Amazing surprise in Candi Dasa

Surprised from the moment we walked into D Tunjung: beautiful bungalows, cool sea breeze, great views, cool outdoor bathroom-garden, wonderful buffet breakfast, great snorkelling just in front of property. But, above all, what made our stay here extra special were Gade and his staff; we were made to feel like family and neither us or our kids wanted to leave after 5 amazing days. Thanks, we will come back!!!!

Nice bungalows near the sea

This is a very nice hotel in Candidasa. The staff and manager are very nice. The room has a very nice outdoor bathroom. Two things could be improved. The air conditionner does not work well. The breakfast buffet is too simple and food is not hot enough.

Better for longer stays

I had only one night though a long one as I arrived in the afternoon. I planned to just enjoy this little and pretty place on the bay but the restaurant wasn't open for dinner (though I was told otherwise) on arrival. The best bit was the open air shower. The worse was not having cooked breakfast delivered before I had to leave at 7.30 in the morning even though I was there for 30 minutes and they said breakfast was available from 7.

Lovely cabins near the water

Very friendly staff. Lovely little cabins with pool next to the water with pleasant sea breeze. Well situated at eastern end of shopping strip and close to a good range of restaurants. Near lovely lotus pond. Outdoor shower which was great. Breakfast a bit hit and miss.

Relaxing in Candidasa

We had two lovely nights at D' Tunjung resort and spa. The accommodation is clean, comfortable and charming. Lovely pool overlooking the beach. Nice gardens and very gracious staff. Breakfast was good. Meals at the restaurant were ok but there are other places nearby that are better. We enjoyed a day out snorkelling. Great break.

Lovely pool & deck right on the sea. Gorgeous view from pool deck & restaraunt. Breakfast is the usual fare, best part is sitting at the sea side enjoying it. The view back to the hillside is wonderful as is the outdoor bathroom with private garden.

When we arrived we were warmly greeted, during our stay we were well looked after by all of the staff. Our room was just lovely very comfy beds and the turn down service included spray for mosquitos. The outdoor bathroom was lovely. While the breakfast was not buffet the selection was enough and the scrambled eggs were the best we had on our trip. We didnt eat in the restaurant with the exception of breakfast. The pool was lovely and overlooked the sea. You need to request pool towels but they were always delivered promptly and with a smile. We would return in a hearbeat.

Not Kuta, but not Lovina either.

We came from Lovina and were hoping for a quiet launching pad to stay while we went scuba diving, climbing Gunung Agung and visiting Tenganan. We were able to do all of these things pretty easily from D' Tunjung and the actual location of the hotel was great! Right on the water and quiet. The problem was how busy and loud Candi Dasa is. So much traffic and big trucks passing through! It was hard to enjoy a meal out at the restaurants in town. The accommodations were very small and simple. Don't expect to spend anytime in your room besides sleeping. We loved the outdoor shower, but it was a bit weird having buildings above our open area where people may be able to see in. Overall it was a nice place to stay, but I don't necessarily recommend Candi Dasa as a good \"getaway\". Go to Lovina if you want to get a quiet relaxed feel.

Very nice garden, wonderful view on the sea, and very close to small beach and nice pond by the sea.

Dining facilities at hand, boat trips to beach or for snorkeling, car trips to Ujung or Tirtagganga are available.

Room is simple and would benefit from having just a kettle and some coffee/tea.

Staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Just about the perfect hotel experience!
Fantastic location looking out over the ocean.
Amazing staff service - nothing was too much!
Beautifully designed and clean bedrooms with comfortable beds, however suggest they put a couch or something similar to sit on in the rooms.
Beautiful gardens.
Fantastic spa service.
Breakfast was okay, not very exciting.

Overall fantastic hotel and great location, we would definitely go back there in a flash!

Bali Hideaway

This hotel/resort was only open a month at the time I stayed. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to us. The \"rooms\" here are really 1 room cabins with a bed. There are chairs for sitting on the front porch, but not in the room itself. The bathroom is on an \"open to the air\" covered back porch (yes it has a fence/wall around it so privacy was not an issue). It took a little getting used to, but it was not a problem for me and seemed kind of quaint. The rooms do have a AC unit, but it needs to work hard to keep up with the heat, especially since the rooms are not insulated or weather sealed.

I would completely recommend this place for anyone who is looking for a quiet, secluded getaway in Bali. Because of its location away from the main resort area of the island it is a long drive to those areas and I would not recommend to anyone looking for a big resort experience. There are however, many good restaurants, small shops, and things to do in the town around this resort. The hotel does offer drivers and can arrange for tours and other activities (diving, snorkeling, etc). It also has a small, but relaxing Spa on the premises.

Please note that this hotel is a 2 to 2 1/2 hour drive from the airport.

Fijn huisje, lekker zwembadje. Er waren wat renovatie bezigheden wat iets overlast bezorgde, maar daardoor zag het er wel piekfijn uit! Restaurant is minimaal, maar genoeg restaurants in de buurt.
