The staff was amazing!
The hotel is a bit run down . I stayed in a bungalow, it was small and dark. The floor was very dirty, walking barefoot on the floor was gross. The food was pretty good. The pool bar was nice . The pools are a bit dated and run down.

This is a beautiful property. The staff and management are extremely helpful and friendly and go out of their way to make sure your stay is fabulous. Situated right on the beachfront, the three swimming pools are lovely and cater for all ages. The food is fresh and diverse and well priced.

This is our second visit to Candi Beach Resort and Spa and it won't be our last. Everything about the resort is intentionally created to make the guests feel welcome, personally known and comfortable. Nothing is too much and the staff are incredible - from management to housekeeping. The location is gorgeous; quiet, clean and incredibly peaceful. There is nothing I would want to change. We love it.

We got upgraded thru Expedia and we were so excited! Our room was breathtaking and all the amenities were the cherries on top. Staff were so friendly and kind and the food was amazing. We utilized the dive center and had such a wonderful experience. Highly recommend .

Staff are all just great, special mention to trainee Yoga who was always smiling and attentive at breakfast service which was also varied with excellent quality. If you are looking for a place that is quiet, peaceful surrounded by beautiful gardens and beachfront, this is for you.
Situated approximately 2 hours north of Denpasar, it is well worth the trip.
The staff were super friendly, the rooms and amenities very clean and tidy.
A good spot to base yourself for sight seeing in Eastern Bali.
I recommend utilising tour bookings at the hotel, using a driver and guide. We had Desy, as our guide, who was very informative with a cheerful deposition.
Food options were very good with various options at the three restaurants.
There is an ATM across the road from the hotel with a couple of local eateries and a small convenience store.
The hotel arranged transport transfers for us, with no issue.
In all, we enjoyed our week here and will be back for a future stay.

The private villa and pool was stunning, private and really pretty. Perfect for a family and perfect for privacy.

A few issues though;

- check in was for 2pm, we arrived around 2:45pm and the cleaners were still in the bathroom.

- we did have some growth on the top of the bedhead (stone area) which looked like mould growth.

- the last day our room breakfast slip wasn’t taken the evening prior, the wait staff were very apologetic however.

The breakfasts, our cleaners, our waiters, ushers, were all really lovely and exceptional service.

The check in/out staff seemed very busy and a little dismissive when asked questions around hotel facilities.

We went once to the Indonesian restaurant, it was nice.

Otherwise a lovely stay.

unexpected hotel after ride there!
clean, multiple pools and restaurants to choose from.
pretty setting- beach was small and water there was not super clean( not the resorts fault).
room was comfortable- told we had a water view- didn't - just a view of the grounds but that was ok- water view would be better. staff was friendly and responsive to any requests. really not much to do outside of the hotel grounds if that is something that is important to you.

Great stay, the only drawback was the trash in the ocean. It was not every day the same, depending on waves and current, but that was to be expected in Bali.
There was a fisherman sitting the whole day in front of the beach, doing nothing and trying to sell snorkeling trips. They should have paid him some money to cleanup daily. We've heared they do weekly cleanup tours, but that's just not enough.

Anyway, everything else was just great :)

Had a lovely stay at Candi Beach Ocean View suite … all of the staff were amazing. Beach was beautiful with crystal blue waters. A few restaurants on site as well as on the street outside giving plenty of options . Massages in the spa resort were very relaxing and an added bonus of listening to the waves added to the ambience. The only negative was listening to the repetitive Italian music at the basil restuarant and pool bar that played over and over again. Maybe a change throughout the day would be a welcomed change. Thanks to all of the staff for a great stay.

Beautiful hotel right by the beach

My Wife and I stayed at the Candi Beach Resort and Spa for three nights in February 2024. We booked a Junior Suite, but the Hotel very kindly upgraded us to a Luxury Suite. The Hotel is simply lovely, right by the beach, quiet, clean and well away from the City. The drive from the airport is a little long but we wanted to get away from the City so we didn’t mind. The room was very spacious, modern, clean and well appointed. We ate at two of the restaurants and loved the food; especially the wonderful breakfast. Most notably, the hotel personnel were absolutely wonderful, so kind, helpful and friendly. A great stay and we will be back!

Knowing that we wanted a quiet, relaxing holiday to unwind and recharge, CANDI BEACH RESORT AND SPA was the perfect place to do this. The luxury pool villa was absolutely amazingly. Even more than we could gave ever wanted or imagined. The room was huge, the bed extremely comfortable and massive, the bathroom was fantastic. From the double shower to the jacuzzi. It was stunning. The pool are was everything that you could hope for. The pool cabana was comfortable with 5 cushions to make you never want to leave.
The whole resort is very clean and the staff members are the friendliest people. They go above and beyond to make sure you have the best experience.
Highly recommend the resort and we are hoping for a yearly trip

Cannot fault anything- staff friendly and very helpful, great breakfast overlooking the ocean every morning, dinner at the restaurant was some of the best meals ever. Large resort so it does not feel crowded at either the restaurant or the pool. Great value for money. We stay in the basic room, which gave good privacy and a lovely upmarket feel.
There are lots of places to eat outside the resort too.

The comfiest bed that I slept in during 3 weeks of travelling around Indonesia. Slept like a baby to the sounds of the ocean.
I had an ocean bungalow with a great view of the beach and had outside seating. The room itself was fairly simple and some of the furniture looked a bit worn but the bathroom was large with a fab shower and was clean.
My room had a (locked) interconnecting door and I could hear my neighbour talking but maybe he was just loud ?!
Pillows, bed linen and towels clean and fresh. Bedside lamps would have been nice (rather than harsh ceiling downlighting).
Great spa - wonderful massages by Chandra.
Breakfast was plentiful and fresh with a huge choice and egg station for omelettes etc.
Evening meals and drinks quite expensive by Indonesian prices but quality of the food and selection was excellent. A few nearby warrungs if you want to eat elsewhere.
Pool areas clean and sunbeds comfortable with parasols and towels. Waitress service for drinks and snacks around pool areas.
All the staff were lovely.
Overall a great stay and I would definitely return.

This place was a dream come true for our family - two teens and parents. If you want a spot to relax in beauty and serenity, this is it. The staff were so friendly and kind, the buffet breakfast was delish and the location with the view of the sea was gorgeous. The three pool options and the beach meant there was always somewhere to be. There are some cute resturants and a few other places to visit around the resort too. We stayed four nights and just adored every moment.

The quality of food was not the standard we were expecting, better value and quality can be found at local warnings nearby resort. Breakfast options were disappointing and lower quality than we were expecting.

There was limited shade options available to guests. Often the shaded spots we reserve by guest early in the mornings.

We had a horrible experience at the scuba snorkeling rental company on hotel property. We also had a bad experience on the second day before we had to leave, hotel staff basically held us hostage.

This resort is beautifully located away from the bustling activities of Bali, allowing for some quiet space more in connection with Nature. It is a couple of hours from Denpasar airport which is a bit of a hike, but well worth it to get away from the large city. The amenities are beautiful, taking advantage of the beach setting. The staff are very attentive and always on the ready to help. The hotel also has an agency (Oji travel) on site to organize day trips; they are very professional and attentive. The hotel is mindful and tries to be eco friendly by not using plastic or styrofoam, but a morning beach cleanup would go a long way in removing the trash the ocean brings to shore with the tides and waves, help the environment by avoiding the trash going back into the ocean, and enhance the beauty of the resort's beach.

This is the 3rd time we’ve stayed at Candy beach over the last ~10 years. Every time we are more and more impressed with the service quality and property itself. This time we spent a bit extra to get the villa and it was well worth it for the extra space and privacy around the pool. Food is excellent, and don’t miss getting a Balinese healing massage - totally worth the time! The area is close to diving / snorkelling and more outdoor activities like hiking than say Ubud, but the peace is well worth the trek.
Thank you to the staff and management who made our 4 days so memorable! We can’t wait to come back.

In fairness, this was a very last minute hotel as a result of our fast boat being canceled due to weather.
We wanted something by the water and this was perfect for that.
That said, coming from more boutique hotels that are smaller and more personal to a hotel like this that is impersonal, you can see the differences.

We had to extend a night and the room we were moved to, 222, is a dump as they were sold out of the original room we had.
Breakfast was very good, especially eggs cooked to order.
The tv reception is awful, so don’t expect to watch anything. :)
Overall we were pleased with the hotel.
The grounds were beautiful and the water is as well.

Mostly we ate outside the resort, but when we ate at the restaurants the food was good and with a good selection. The staff were all kind, friendly and polite.

Being the first resort we have stayed at, we cant rate it high enough. To be away from the Hussle and bussel of Kuta and Legian was the perfect way to wind down.
We only had breakfast on site as we like to try the local Warungs, and the breakfast was acceptable. Dinner was a bit expensive and over cooked, but again only eating there once during our stay was acceptable.
Our time there included Nyepi day, so we were advised that we couldn't leave the resort, but all the facilities were operational, albeit for shorter hours. the hotel staff kept us informed all the time too.
All in all we loved the resort, transport into the town was provided twice a day and tours and activities can be booked on site.
Booked a Deluxe Beachside Bungalow, and in my opinion was the best room in the Hotel.

What a resort!!! It was like staying in a garden! I was lucky enough to get a bungalow right by the front desk which is a little further from the beach but I didn't even mind because the walk was so beautiful through the trees and flowers. I just wish my view wasn't of a building but the room it self was sensational!
The breakfast buffet was 5 stars! So many made to order options. I looked forward to it every morning and the staff were so polite!
I also got a massage at the spa and it was magnificent! The view and the sound of the ocean really highten the experience. It was also my 1st stone massage by a blind man! He did a fantastic job. I would absolutely stay here again!!!

Beautiful spacious suite. Excellent daily room service and cleaning, Good food. Pool was nice and cool Bed very comfy, Jacuzzi on balcony was great especially in the afternoon when it rained. The balcony glass sliding door was extremely difficult to ope. Need more bar staff and waiter service around the pool though as we had to get our own drinks and service was very slow. Also need to put covers on the buffet breakfast food as there were flys everywhere. Could do with more umbrellas over sun lounges.

Wonderful retreat.

We stayed for 5 nights in a luxury suite with ocean view (room 634).
Everything about the stay was wonderful.
The staff are very attentive and extremely pleasant.
Food in the restaurant was of excellent quality and well presented. Prices were very reasonable.

Perfect for a very quiet beach getaway

Candi Beach Resort was very beautiful but a bit too sleepy for me personally although getting away from people was technically what I went there for. It’s absolutely perfect for someone looking to get away to a more secluded part of Bali for some very quiet beach time. There wasn’t a lot of people around at all so you can literally feel like you have much of the beach & pools all to yourself. The sound of waves crashing outside of my window was heavenly & the staff was incredibly nice & helpful at all times.

The Resort is only partially open at the moment. There was no information about this on any booking platforms, hotel's website or social media. We paid over 2.5 million rp per night just for our room and were expecting a fully operational resort with multiple dinning options etc. The marketing photo's and drone videos show a massive resort but in reality it was like a very small hotel which was quite underwhelming. The restaurant and restaurant staff weren't very experienced and we saw other guest's at the hotel complaining about the food. We didn't really complain but we weren't too happy either.

Better promotion of events and opportunities in the area would be helpful. We were invited to the Manager's cocktail party the evening before we left. Had we been invited during the previous week, we would have known more about what was actually available to do and see in the area.

Everything was almost what I expected and paid for except for the Buffet breakfast. Not a great variety of food and and very similar from day to day. The fruit selection was poor and the juices more like cordial

Don't be fulled by upgrade and free welcome drink. I booked it for my mum and when they arrived they offered the upgrade that on the website cost 2$ more, what kind of VIP upgrade is that that you don't even have dressing gown or a sleepers, no hair conditioner? As a welcome drink you get some sort of tea. They also put different alcohol to the cocktails, it happened twice so make sure they put correct alcohol, not some cheap substitute and very little amount. My mum got food poisoning after breakfast , she was sick for the whole day. The location is nice but for $200 a night its not worth the money.
