At check in, I pay for 2 adults and 1 children 8 year old, we I ask for extra bed for the children, they ask me to pay extra $15 dll, I mention, the children paid to be in the hotel. The reply was, you paid for service, no for bead.

Son I pay entra for the Small bed $15 dlls.

Is not the money is the fact that I pay in advance for extra person, 1 8 year old child

The hotel is immaculate. The breakfast buffet is enormous and the staff are very attentive.
The hotel sits on the east bank of the Nile which gives a great view of the sunset.
The only disappointments are the restaurants. They’re overpriced and the food is bland.

Overall the hotel is fantastic. Would definitely go back. Superb location on the banks of the Nile, lovely room and swimming pool.
Disappointed that the half board package only allows access to one of the restaurants as this was not mentioned when booking. Also the Tropicana snack bar was not good - the bar surface was very dusty and the food was served almost cold.

We had a fantastic stay at the Steigenberger. Our room was beautiful—very clean, well-equipped, and the bed was very comfortable. We also had a great balcony with comfortable seating and an awesome view of the Nile, which made it even better.

The restaurants were excellent, especially the Thai restaurant—it was a standout for us. The breakfast buffet was also really good with tons of variety, so there was something for everyone.

The pool area was clean and well maintained, and overall the whole property felt very well looked after. The staff were all very friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Honestly, we don’t have anything negative to say—would definitely stay here again.

Nice interior design, facility quality, and welcome. Unfortunately, it took 2+ hours, 3 phone calls, and 1 in-person visit to the reception to get 2 blankets. The bed was big enough to hold my wife and kids but I slept on the floor, which is fine. However, 2+ hours and 4 attempts to get 2 blankets to cushion the floor for my back is just unacceptable.

The facilities were spotless at all times, from the common areas to the pool and restaurants. Housekeeping deserves special praise: the room was impeccably clean, well maintained, and noticeably spacious, which made the stay very comfortable.

The room is spacious and the deco in the room makes a statement of quality. All staffs were ever so friendly. The swimming pool is so beautiful and water temperature was maintained perfectly at 28 degrees. The view from the bank of the pool over river Nile was stunning. The breakfast was full of choices of quality food. Restaurants serve tasty foods. The only point which could be better is that the sauna and steam room is not free for guests, these however may have been reflected in the good price. Overall, 5 stars!

The staff were super friendly immediately upon arrival, very accommodating, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and right on the Nile! Thoroughly enjoyed eating breakfast sitting by the Nile watching all the boats and Nile cruises go by. On days of early excursions, the hotel also arranges a breakfast bag for you including pastries, bread, fruit, yoghurt, cheese and juice! The laundry service is super efficient, 2 full bags of laundry both returned within a few hours and only cost £30! Highly recommend this to anyone coming to stay in Luxor and would definitely love to return one day.

This was such a lovely hotel. Our room was spacious and nice, the hotel itself was a very clean with a lovely pool area and bar service. The Italian restaurant was fantastic! They had entertainment in the form of a violinist in the courtyard and she was fantastic, great way to pass and evening. It's a very charming property and I would love to stay again. Location was also great, very central and easy to get around Luxor. Staff were incredibly attentive and nothing was too much trouble. 10/10 recommend

Overall it’s a lovely resort. The food is fantastic with plenty of different options, including à la carte restaurants, although they can be a little tricky to book.

There are lots of different pools so if you want to avoid children you can sit by the adult pool.

The staff and service were both excellent, everywhere around the resort.

The only two things that let the resort down are that it’s a fair way from the town itself, so if you want to dive, like us, it’s a 30 min transfer.

Secondly, sadly there is a very loud and rowdy resort next door which plays loud night club type music pretty much al day until about 11pm. It’s a real shame otherwise the Steigenberger would be a lovely peaceful resort.

Overall we had a lovely week, all be it with ear plugs to get to sleep.

The hotel has shops and restaurants within the hotel with a good variety of choices. The service was very good too. The only weird thing was that I could not pay the room via credit card at the reception but through a link they sent me from the reception. I was told that they do not accept card and cash payments. When I checked out I paid the room services and dinner with the credit card as usual. I don’t know why the room no and all the rest yes. Nothing outrageous but I found it a bit weird (never happened to me even though I travel a lot)

This is our first time to Luxor and won’t be our last. My family and I have arrived from USA and Mr. Mostafa Mohammed gave us best experience. We arrived from the airport late night and he immediately checked us in and gave us a complimentary upgrade and dinner. He was also so quick at our checkout everything was smooth.

Mr. Hamam was also great at welcoming us and showing us our rooms.
The rooms are clean, the view is beautiful, staff are very helpful.

We will definitely come again.

The only thing that threw me off was when I got there they made me pay for an extra person, which is ridiculous cause why does it matter that there’s two people in one room because I accidentally hit one person so be careful of that. The hotel is an incredible place, filled with beautiful details in every corner. The Nile is directly next to it and boat rides are an amazing extra. I highly recommend Hassan and his piloting skills. We experienced the Nile as it should be done. The staff at the hotel is attentive and friendly and service is amazing. We ate at 3 of the restaurants and were very pleased. The hotel has a Thai restaurant that served the best pad tai I have eaten. The beds are comfortable and the room was spacious. The only complaints are that hot water was irregular and sporatic. Leaving one to take cold showers. Additionally, please stop using those horrible paper straws.
Having said that, the hotel is a dream and I will return to it.

This is one of the finer hotels I have stayed in. The room has everything I needed. Breakfast was buffet style, with a wide assortment of foods and was excellent. There were also good dinner options available.

WOW....just wow for this place.

We arrived late at 2:00 AM and we told the manager on duty that we had an early tour the next morning at 5:30 am. When we arrived at the front desk, he had two breakfast kits to go prepared for us. Incredible service.

The room was spectacular and the view was just as good.

The beautiful Miranda was close to her birthday so she got special treatment from all the staff. The Thai restaurant was delicious and they reserved a special outdoor table for us. Drinks available here as well!!!

However, one downside was the experience with the shops in the hotel-some of the shop workers were quite aggressive in trying to sell their products, which made us uncomfortable at times and wanted to avoid using the facilities. A little more space to browse freely would have made the experience much better.

We stayed 3 nights. This is a rather old hotel but it’s charming, comfortable, and a whole world of difference when you step in from the slump environment outside.
Pros:
- There is a coffee/gelato bar, Lebanese restaurant, Thai restaurant, Italian restaurant, Nubian restaurant, bar serving the pool. We loved the Lebanese restaurant and had many meals there.
- Beautiful facade.
- Room is spacious and bed comfortable, the bathroom is a bit aged but kept clean. Though a couple more hooks to hang clothes will be great.
- Beautiful pool facing the Valley of the kings and Nile.
- Excellent service from the hotel.
- Just opposite the hotel there are a couple of minimarts to get soft drinks and tidbits. Some of them offer unofficial money exchange.
- There is an ATM within the hotel basement if you need to draw some money.
- Not much hassling from vendors within the hotel compared to the world outside the hotel.
Cons:
- Outside of the hotel, it’s dark and sad. It’s less than 10 minutes ride to the Central Area where the harbour is but getting there means you either walk on narrow dusty pathways alongside horse carriages and cars or try to hail a taxi or horse carriage that try to rip you off every way possible.

This experience was a rather memorable one as it felt private, luxurious, and beautiful. The hotel felt private even when in the middle of a large and busy city. Additionally the accommodations provided by this hotel were on a different level, so much so where even the bathrooms felt luxurious. The scenery was simply gorgeous as it had the most picturesque view of the Nile. One of the food items Khubs was very good, though the omelets were undercooked.

I stayed for 3 nights, I booked a King city view room, at check-in I was told I was upgraded to a garden view room. Upon getting in the room I was greeted with two double beds. Not having sleep in 24hours reduced my willingness to call and complain. The hotel it’s self is very clean but very out dated. It really should undergo remodeling, especially if it plans to compete with new luxury hotels that are coming in the area. Staff are all kind and helpful. The ones motivated by tips stick out but none make you uncomfortable.

I haven’t left many reviews but I realized that I look at people’s reviews when I book a room. This is Great hotel. The staff are amazing. My room had 2 bathrooms, the first time I’ve seen that. I don’t know what else to say. Book your room here!! I took videos and will post them on instagram. If you’re reading this post. Look no farther. Book it you won’t be disappointed. I highly recommend this property. We were originally booked at an alternative property in Cairo, but we quickly left and looked for an alternative. The Steigenberger was incredible. Truly outstanding staff at this hotel. Great variety of restaurants on site and the river jetty on site is extremely convenient for hiring boats for a cruise or to cross the river to the West bank. We arrived early on a flight to Cairo and left on a later flight and the staff was extremely helpful in accommodating an early checkin and late checkout. Transportation and guides are very easy to obtain both with the help of the hotel and without. The rooms and pool area are spotless and the location on the Nile is superb.

We had a wonderful stay here. When we checked in we were upgraded to a side Nile view, overlooking the Valley of the Kings! The staff went out of their way to make us feel relaxed and looked after. Do stroll past the pool and sit in the garden bar on the edge of Nile and watch the sunset and feluccas, so beautiful. We had dinner in the Italian which is inside the courtyard, it was tasty and reasonably priced, but the ambience was amazing with the evening entertainment. Thank you for a lovely stay, I might have to put your New Years Eve party on my bucket list having seen it on your video screen!

As a solo traveler, this hotel was my safe haven. The Nile view room was worth every penny. Incredible view, big room, very clean and comfortable. The hotel is very well kept and up-to-date. Welcoming service, easy and efficient check in. The food was fantastic with great selection. The only small recommendation I have is I wish they provided more complimentary bottled water, although that is very minor. Overall highly recommend this hotel while in Luxor.

This reception is dishonest. We were promised free breakfast but they scammed us: We asked if the breakfast was included and he said yes it was free and show us the direction. But next day we were informed there's no breakfast included and we need to pay for it. If they told us the first day, we won't come back but they refused to take any responsibility. It's Ramadan and it was hard to find a restaurant in the morning. If they gave us the correct information, we can plan for it in advance but we lost the chance. Second, it's not soundproof, you can hear other snoring very clearly in your bed and electrical currents running through the room. What's more, the bed is not clean. You can find weird dust on the sheet.
