The place is in good location. The room wasn't super clean, staff is nice but not very attentive, could benefit from more training.
Overall the place seems run down and not taken care off. Big cockroach also visited my bedroom. The balcony doors are very hard to open and close. Overall I think place needs to be managed better.

A good night.

One night stay after arriving in Sri Lanka. Arrived late but they were expecting us. Main issue was that the a/c didn’t work and it took us 3 requests to get management to fix it, which they did. Big room with a nice bathroom. A bar fridge which didn’t work. You walk along an outdoor walkway to get to your room. On the top floor of 3 where we were you had ocean glimpses. Good pool and breakfast. Close to Beach and in a quiet side street. Lovely people working there.

Rooms are spacious and clean if a little dated. I understand hotel has new owners is working hard on improvements but a shame that most rooms don’t have a balcony or view. Pool is nice but design and space means much of it is in the shade. Hotel staff endlessly helpful and responsive. Breakfast is very good but all waiter-served; a buffet is surely the answer. Hotel is in very convenient location for restaurants etc. but the beach is very windy and no developed areas with windbreaks and sun beds as yet.

Perfect for Negombo transit stay

Neat and clean. Good location just off the main road. Very friendly staff with great service. Nice spacious room with aircon, fridge, fan and complimentary water. Very nice breakfast menu and pool area. A nice start to our Sri Lanka trip just a short distance from the airport. Highly recommended.

Experience of a family

I would say the client service and attitude was great. The manager Chandana should have a special mention. He is terrific and was all the time looking to make the stay better. His influence has worked well and his team also positively work towards going the extra mile to keep the client contained.
Having said that technical maintenance of the hotel facilities is not good. When we checked in we were given a suite in top of the floors and the building doesn't have lift. Refusing to take it we were given another room which didn't have suite facilities. All this happened when Chandana was not in site. When he arrived he immediately provided us with a room located closer to the reception. Unfortunately we found that the air-con was faulty and during the final day we moved to another room which was perfect. It was inconvenient but at the end we found a good room.
The food is basic with very few options. It was not a big issue as there are plenty of restaurants in close proximity.

Bad hotel.Theft in the rooms

We stayed for 2 nights. In this hotel we were robbed, entered the room and stole money from my bag while we had breakfast. The room was awfully dirty. The kitchen did not work.

St Lachlan hotel experience

The hotel was comfortable and had very polite and helpful staff. What could be improved is there internet/Wifi service. During our stay, it wifi was not accessible from the rooms although in their website it was stated free wifi was available in the room. They should also consider cleaning the pool better.

Lovely quaint hotel close to everything

Lovely hotel with very friendly and welcoming staff. Close to the main road through Negombo Beach with shops, bars, restaurants and the beach all a short walk away. WiFi and breakfast not as good but the rooms were well presented, spacious and clean. Staff were helpful and a paid airport pick up is available. The train station was a cheap (250 rupees) Tuk Tuk ride away. The hotel was quaint and charming. It has a pool and bar as well.

Lovely Boutique hotel in Nagumbo Beach.

The current owner of this hotel has recently totally renovated this hotel and only a few finishing touches are now needed..My room was Large and spacious with excellent air conditioning and a comfortable bed. The Bathroom was excellent with a waterfall shower and constant water pressure.The internet was strong,stable and Free.There is a perfectly adequate swimming pool with sun lounges and parasols.Breakfast was made to order and plentiful. Multi channel television in my room with international channels. Staff were excellent from check-in to departure.They even arranged a taxi back to the airport. Security Guard on the Hotel entrance to add that extra peace of mind. 5 minute walk from a Lovely beach and numerous restaurants/Shops.
The only thing that took the edge off my stay was the Hotels location. It's located 100 m down a side road off the main road and my Airport taxi had a great deal of difficulty finding it. He had to ask Three Locals before we finally found It.I would have no hesitation in staying in this hotel again next time I'm in Sri-lanka

Pleasant Hotel

The hotel is well situated in Negombo and easy to find. The room was clean and spacious, however, the bathroom needed some attention to the walls which were pealing and damp damaged and there was a water leak which left the floor wet all of the time. The staff are pleasant but the meal service is very slow and eratic, eg : by the time the cooked breakfast is served the toast is cold and the tea and coffee are not served until the end of the meal ! Waiting for change upon paying for the meal can take another 40 minutes at times. However the manager is very helpful and knowledgeale. Having said all f tat, our stay was very pleasant and we were happy.

Good hotel close to local amenities

We had a suite that was very spacious - even had a separate dressing room. The reception area looks a bit dated and shabby but the staff were pleasant and helpful and though we were early for booking in they let us into the room after a few minutes wait. Nice quiet hotel just 20 metres from the main road and the bars and restaurants and close to the beach. Breakfast was great with plenty of choice and good service. Good pool with loungers and umbrellas. Would definitely stay here again. It's good value for money.

Great overnight stay for something close to the airport. It's very easy to get a taxi from the airport and takes about 15 minutes. The staff were fantastic, extremely friendly and helpful.
The hotel is good value and the breakfast in the morning exceeded my expectation. Would definitely recommend to other travelers.

Great friendly boutique style hotel

A modern,clean and very relaxing boutique style hotel set back from the very busy main street. The room was a good size with good quality furniture, comfortable bed, roof fans and air conditioning that worked.Tea and coffee was replenished everyday. The bathroom was also modern with a drench style shower. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. In particular Aruno Thayan made sure our stay was fault free and very enjoyable. It gives you confidence in and establishment when you see a manager actually managing his staff for the benefit of the customer, well done. We checked nearby restaurants but returned to the hotel every night and used their restaurant because the food was well presented, good quality and reasonably priced. There is a decent sized clean pool which is better than using the beach. A tuk tuk from the station/central town should be 300rupee(locals 100) and to/from the airport 800/1000rupee negotiate you will always pay more than the locals but that is Sri Lanka wide

Tired hotel that needs attention

Hotel is tired, poor value and pretentious. Some waiting staff could not communicate in English. Breakfast was supposed to be buffet--it was not. Pool chlorination is to inadequate, unhealthy level and tile grout is filled with algae which stained swimming clothes. Not a good experience, considering price paid.

Nice Boutique Hotel - Recommended, close to Market

Its a nice boutique hotel, good for travelers looking for nice, decent, clean hotel with about 50-70 meters away from the hustle & bustle to enjoy the calm. However, it is also walking distance from the Negombo Famous Street Market & Beach side. It has also got great variety of food options in the neighborhood including the authentic Srilankan food. The room was very spacious for a family (2 adults & 2 children). The only cons are it doesn't have the in-room phone and at times on the Tea Station sometimes there are mini-ants attracted to spread sugar crystals. Overall it was a very nice experience.

Booked hotel just for one night prior to early morning flight home to UK. We had stayed in a guest house in this area previously and decided to try this hotel. Just a shame that we didnt try it earlier! Spacious room, value-for-money, comfortable seating so no need to sit on bed to watch TV| Convenient for main (?) restaurant/shop street but quiet. Would have liked to try the restaurant but no time, pool looked inviting - again no time. A/C and two ceiling fans worked just fine, bathroom walls needed a bit of a 'wash and brush up' but overall very clean . If I was to return, for longer than one night, I would like a little more light in the room. One concern re electric sockets - some 3-pin round, some 3-pin square and some two-pin european type.

Very good, small hotel close to the airport.

Hotel provided a welcome drink. Registration service was prompt and we were in our room within a few minutes of our arrival. Room was well-appointed and the air conditioning in the bedroom provided a welcome relief from the heat of the afternoon. We took advantage of the pool area and were pleasantly surprised to be given complimentary towels. We were only staying one night, as we had an early flight home the following morning therefore we decided to have dinner at the hotel. We only had one course, which was beautifully presented and tasted as good as it looked. The meal was excellent and was the best one we had during our stay in Sri Lanka. After a comfortable night's sleep, we had time to enjoy an early breakfast before heading off to the airport.

Good example of getting what you pay for.

Quiet location off the main Negombo strip, but within easy walking distance of both the nightlife and beach.

Overall, very good value. Not the most luxurious pool area, and the rooms had little in the way of views, but there are many extras, not formal for this grade of hotel.

Wi-fi was poor at the time, and some of the room electrics were ropey, if not down right dangerous, but the staff worked to rectify these.

Leider kann ich keine besonders gute Bewertung abgeben,es gab zu viele schlechte Dinge wie zb.die Sauberkeit der Zimmer und der Bäder.

I have the young lady at the front desk on the drawbacks, but unfortunately I do not speak English and they do not speak German. If you have to wait 20 minutes in the restaurant until someone tries to take an order, without the other guests are present not very Vorteilhaft.Des further I got an accident in the bathroom in which a whole lot of glass broke. This was designed for me too much alcohol which was not the case. I am diabetic and had a hypoglycemia and thus a showering dizziness had me fall into you disc.
However, the lady's boyfriend took care of me a lot and took me to the hospital

朝食も十分あり満足。ただ若い従業員によってオムレツか卵焼きかの選択とソーセージかベーコンの選択があることを言わないことがよくない。従業員にばらつきがある。プールは管理がされていて良い。バスシャワールームでシャワーの近くに照明がないので暗い。

ホテルコロンボに変更になっている事を現地で知った。送って貰ったけど現在地がわからなかった。

위치도 좋고, 깨끗하고 친절한 곳.

일단 위치가 좋았어요. 골목 안쪽으로 들어와있어서 시끄럽지 않지만, 번화가와 해변과 접근성이 좋았습니다.
직원들은 아주 친절했고, 객실도 넓고 쾌적하고 깨끗하고 수영장 등 시설도 좋았습니다.
다시 네곰보에 가더라도 이용하고싶은 곳입니다.

Godt hotel med fin pool og god morgenmad.

God belligendhed. Mange spisesteder og butikker i nærheden. Hotellet OK standard. Stort værelse og badeværelse. Fin pool. Rar have. Dejlig frisklavet morgenmad og fin betjening.
Aftensmaden god, vi spiste dog kun EN aften på hotellet, da vi gerne ville se lokalområdet.
Rengøringen på værelset da vi ankom var mangelfuld. Der var støvet og smånusset.
Vi var få gæster og meget personalet så det undte mig.
Vi overnattede 3 nætter. Og kommer gerne igen.
WIFI signal godt men meget dårlig internet på værelset. Virkede i receptionen.
